Great topic! Its 34.8% now, but it's going up and down couple percents in last couple months. I don't agree with most comments in this thread, bitcoin dominance will continue to go down cause two many new coins and tokens are coming out. Platforms like ethereum, waves and neo are not at maximum usage, this year more icos will come out ans each of them will take a little a bit od bitcoin domination. That will not happen until the end of this year, maybe couple more years will pass but I think definitely domination of bitcoin will go down and under 30% first and later even under 20%. I am even ready to put some bets on that, under 30% in next 3 years for sure.

Recent drop in prices for many people was an opportunity to buy more crypto currencies for a huge discount. If you wish to compare that with train's it's easy to understand that trains are not going in one direction, they are coming back from time to time, and that is opportunity for people who was late first time to get in. Now we are going up again, and is there someone who can claim that we will not see bitcoin on 5.000$ again? Jump in now if you think we are not going back to that mark, or of you think we will then wait for train to come back and pick you up.
The funny thing with this train's is that you need to know where you are going before you jump into. Each train different classes, its not the same of you are economy, business or VIP part. Ticket for each of them is very different, you should know that.

I agree that nobody knows, that is something that is so close to crypto currencies currencies. Its cause bitcoin and altcoins are something's new for this world, they appeared out from nowhere. I didn't imagine this scenario 10 years ago. I started dealing with crypto currencies 2 and a half years ago and eben then I thought I am late for the party.
We will see what will happen but the fact is that crypto currencies are making or its better in o say breaking they way out of anonymity.
It not just Americana that are making new laws. Gibraltar is the one that will make some regulations before them.
Bitcoin market cap is already 150 billion dollars and going up. This is not the first time that something like this is happening, look at the past ans you will see that after Chinese new year price is having uptrend.  All prices is going up, let's hope that this uptrend will continue trough all February.

Everyday, many times! Its the first thing I do when I get up, and last thing before I shut down computer, and I'm not a day trader. I'm interested in prices of altcoins I have, and in the ones I had, and the ones I plan to buy. Sounds a lot, but over a time o get use to it and it's something that I like to do.
I even have several telegram bots that tells me price changes of some coins, I think this bots are like must have if you wish to be into crypto world.
Looking price changes everyday is not for the people with a lot of money invested in cryptocurrencies and weak heart. You will just have headache from this rollercoaster of prices.

You can come to forum and instead of asking for something you can look for yourself and decide what is best for you. Asking which coins are good in market with over 1500 coins and its a bit unsuitable, its like you are asking about the best football, basketball team, the best tebis or poker player.. You have top 10 in each section, and this top 10 are not always same. Sometimes the best is the best cause its better in something's, but that doesn't mean that others are not good. I'm always saying, open coin market cap, in first 100 you have great coins and tokens, choose your favorite ones.

I had similar fate my friend, I was constantly losing money with my trades. So I stopped and I applied different strategy, mid or long term trading. I am very successful if I can say, and I could do better too. Take a look on my posts, I bought a lot of iotas under 50¢, then I sold it at 1.7$, what a mistake that was, it went over 4$, I waited 4 months for that rise, and I couldn't be patient for a day or to and sell at 4$. Then ripple, I was buying at 25¢ and sold over 3$. My biggest mistake was litecoin, I sold long ago before 100$ and later 300$. I was talking a lot here that this coin will rise in price and they did. Now I bought ripples again under a dollar, iota I'm thinking to buy again, litecoin definitely yes under 200$. Stellar, cardano under 1$ great buy, and many more coins and tokens.
Don't hurry to make money, take it easy, pick a good, undervalued coin buy when ever you have a chance, if it drops buy more and wait your golden chance.

I will give you merit for this cause I have smerits to give, but I don't think that I'm competent to judge about poat quality, I think I can just notice who made some effort.

Is it so hard to open google and to type some basic words and you will find a tons of informations of any kind, don't trust first one, look on couple places, compare articles and make your own opinion. Except that , more traders always means more demand, and with more demand all prices can just rockets to sky. That is good for us 'old' traders, and old people here that have some good amounts of different coins. That's why stocking up bitcoins and different altcoins is always good. Which altcoins is hard to sayz that's why I have my fingers in many of them. Buy while they under 1$, cause it looks like that all the coins under 1$ are good for buying for the future. And don't listen others, I could be a millionaire today if I didn't listen other people, others say ETH is a scam ans look where it is now? Do you see that? Now I'm buying cardano and stellar, and I don't care what other people talks about this coins.

I'm not a programmer, or some scientist, mathematica genius, and many people here are not that either, so how can we help bitcoin? Wr can use it, and buy using it we support that idea and we spread knowledge about how to use it. There is no other way, devs can look how to improve technical side of bitcoins, but bitcoin needs big and strong community and that is where most of us belong. Support the idea, spread the idea among your friends, and everyday there will be more followers and supporters, ans that is how bitcoin will conquer the world in my opinion.

All of us have different believes, different wishes. With so many altcoins we really have a big choice to support project we wish to see successful, not just cause of the profit, but also cause that altcoin can do something better and easier that we can do with traditional means. All the coins you suggested are good, I have them too, some more and others less, and when I see questions which coin to buy I would like to say all of them, and buy as many as you can. Many of the coins are undervalued. They wait more people to join, companies and governments to support that projects, if all that things happen, and for some coins it will for sure that coins will rocket sky in price.

I think they are just using situation, we all know that bad news are more interesting then good news, and bad news travel faster. Sensational titles attract people, mostly like on this forum, you see one headline, but topic has nothing or very little with that headline. You first think let's see this, who knows what is there let's check it, and in most case's there is nothing smart inside. That is why I don't read newspaper anymore, most of them are like tabloids. Old holders were talking about it years ago when I was newbie here, buy bitcoin, don't read any news, don't trust anyone who talks good or bad about bitcoins, just hold and watch your business, don't care about others and their endless spam.

We can never know where is the bottom and where is the top. Bitcoin is still vulnerable to manipulations and who can tell that this drop is manipulated by some whales or not? It will bounce back of course, its what we belive in and for what we hope for, cause every January is the same, price drop for more then 50%, so this January drop isn't anything new. Price already started to go up, and maybe its over with drops, now we will have straight way up. New investors should know that bitcoin will rise in price over the time, but nobody can tell how much time.
