1561  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: June 11, 2014, 04:06:20 PM
We closed our signature campaign since it was a little ridiculous, it required participating members to make ANXPRO-related posts.

That is indeed a good decision.
If there are a dozen of persons making posts like "ANX is great" everywhere in the forum, it would probably just create bad impression. Tongue

And that's just SPAM.
So, would you like to try out our exchange? I'm not going to say that it's amazing and miraculous, but I use it and I find it really good. SEPA deposits and withdrawals (I'm in EU), fees as low as 0.05%, and we are the only exchange to have a cross-fiat order book.

ANXPRO

try oclvanitygen.exe -D 0:0: -o file.txt 1WTFisThis

This one worked! Thank you! Any idea if I can add more gpu's to work at the same time?

Try -d 0:0:1:4: and see if it works. If not, run multiple instances with the different devices, it'll still work.

"This is not endorsement to buy CBCM...."

It's funny he says that, because that is exactly what he is doing.  They're partners.

From CBCM:
Quote
"For the moment we are in business relations with Spondoolies-Tech (I am not authorized to disclose details of the agreement)."

Also, I have had a few e-mail discussions with Gadi from Spondoolies back in April.  We were actually looking into purchasing hardware from them and then decided not to because the price wasn't right.  Could this be a sour taste left in their mouths?  Possibly.

PB Mining will continue proving the skeptics wrong -- we have given our reasons as to why we don't publish certain information and we will lift our transparency when the time is right -- especially when we are big enough to start effectively solo mining.  You can be sure of one thing -- PB Mining is here to stay.  Nobody will take us down, and our customers will always be #1.    We will continue proving this for years to come, and customers who trust us are being heavily rewarded.  We are constantly hassled as to why our prices are low, but they are exactly where they should be.  Our own profit margin is tight and that is the only way that the consumer has a chance to make a positive ROI in this business.

Our new motto: We aren't going anywhere.  Get over it.  Smiley

I Like your business vision and already have 855 ghs from You.I plan to add another 3 ths as for now its a bit risky for Me to buy all from You but its best option for Me I'll buy 2 ths deducated miners and 1 ths from You I think with time after Your trust will increased I'll bring 10 K investment from friends.

That's just amazing, I wish you were my referral lol.
Anyway, just don't invest more than what you can afford to lose. PBMining isn't a scam, but I dunno, the data center might steal the miners or something, lol.
I like playing chess and invest in warrior style and always get more with risky investments than conservative ones so I'm always choosing risky investment or just stay out of market. For me main reason is correct business plan and vision witch PB has and strong person or team, rest no matters .Losing money is not tragedy at all We have match more which is more important.

Lol... Can you sign up as my referral then? You have nothing to lose, and you share the benefits with someone, which is nice Smiley

ANX pro, Currently has cero fees for deposits and withdrawals including SEPA banking system. ANX is rapidly growing in volume.

ANXPRO

That's a referral link. I've never heard about that exchange before. Is it a thread on this forum anywhere?

this is their ANN thread :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=425451.0
if i'm not wrong, they open signature campaign too
but nowhere to see for now

We are employed by ANXPRO, and these links are used to track stats.

1565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Fury or 2 Gridseeds? on: June 11, 2014, 03:36:56 PM
So, an update. I bought a Fury, it shipped out on Monday, and it should arrive soon.
I'm not bothered with soldering resistors to overclock the gridseeds, so I went for the Fury.

After I ran the oclvanitygen.exe with a test address it came up this:

Available OpenCL platforms:

0: [Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.] AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing
0: [Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.] Hawaii
1: [Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.] Hawaii
3: [Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.] Hawaii
  4: [GenuineIntel] Intel<R> Core <TM> i5-4570 CPU @ 3.20GHz

But I don't know how to add the AMD gpu so that it will start working with it. What should I write in the command line for it to do it with the gpu?

I'm not too sure to be honest. If anyone else knows, feel free to chime in.

You specify the device, using -d (device number).
For example, you should use oclvanitygen.exe -d 0 1WTFisThis. If it doesn't worked with all cards specified at the same time, run multiple instances with the different devices.

1569  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 2 capacitors came off one of my Antminer S1's on: June 10, 2014, 09:27:26 PM
thanks buddy, I'll get on that tomorrow. The problem is on the master blade side, would it be ok to power up and hash with?

I think I'd need to unscrew it and get mobo to connect to the working blade otherwise

thanks for that

red

I think it's OK if the normal blade can hash, but don't let the broken blade hash until you have repaired it. I suggest you just leave it be for now, and fix it, then start hashing.
1570  Economy / Lending / Re: [Request] 0.5 btc loan for 7-10 days. Will repay 0.525 on: June 10, 2014, 09:03:13 PM
The only solution for this would be to PM Stunna and see if the btc can get paid directly to the loaner. If not, I don't think anyone will offer this loan.
1571  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 2 capacitors came off one of my Antminer S1's on: June 10, 2014, 09:01:16 PM
As far as I know, there wouldn't be a problem soldering it again. Just solder it properly. If it doesn't work, see if you can get the same capacitors to replace them.
1572  Economy / Lending / Re: [REQ] 0.03 BTC loan for 5 days, return 0.04 BTC on: June 10, 2014, 09:00:18 PM
just received 0.0302 .yay...

now he owes me just .01

I wonder if his account got hacked or something. I don't understand why he isn't even trying to give an explanation for the late loan, or even anything at all.
1573  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Least Goxable exchange? on: June 10, 2014, 08:55:42 PM
Every exchange as far as I can tell is a little shaky for one reason or another.  For instance btc-e is in Russia or something.  I'd love a site that is clear, easy to use, and there was some assurance that everything was legit so if it went under you could get something back.  Gox was big but so shady about where all the funds were.  See it's weird, the thing that would make an exchange reputable is if there was some big entity backing it, but that also goes against Bitcoin's principles.

I just think that the exchanges should be P2P as well and I think there are lots of solutions in the pipeline for this but probably none which are ready to use just yet. But I thought I would ask anyway.

No one knows who btc-e's owners are, and they can grab the funds and run away when they want to.
1574  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Least Goxable exchange? on: June 10, 2014, 04:49:39 PM
Let me introduce a very good exchange that I am both employed by and use:
ANXPRO.

ANXPRO is a Cryptocoin exchange based in Hong Kong, with a money transmitter licence. We don't fake our volume. We are the first exchange to have a cross-fiat currency order book, meaning that if someone sells BTC/EUR and someone buys BTC/USD, trades can still be paired. This is why our volume might look very high.
Our fees are as low 0.05%, and we support direct banking with Hong Kong and Australia. SEPA deposits and withdrawals are also supported.

Our security features include:
  • Identity Verification for fiat Deposits and Withdrawals
  • 128-bit SSL encryption
  • State-of-the-art trading platform hosted in Tier 1 data centres
  • DDoS Protection

We are also planning an audit to prove that we actually hold the funds that customers deposited.
1575  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Potential wait of 10 minutes at POS? on: June 10, 2014, 04:39:18 PM
The last couple of BTC transactions I've done took about 10 mins to 1st confirmation. This was for small amounts (under $100) and I paid a 0.0002 transaction fee.

A fee over 0.0001 per KB does not make your transaction faster. The first confirmation means that your transaction was included in the blockchain. For that the miners need to find a block. You cant just throw money at them and hope the will find a block, they are allready searching as fast as they can.

If we want bitcoin to take off with casual users is it likely that people are going to go into a shop and wait ten minutes to pay for a Mars bar and a pint of milk?

There is no need for that.

If the shop requires three confirmations to sell then you could be looking at thirty minutes to get a packet of cigarettes and I can't see someone craving a fix of nicotine waiting for that long.

What's being done to enable transactions as quick as a credit/debit card?

You can use 3rd party services for that, yes.

But you can also lighten up and accept the transaction as valid soon as it is broadcasted and the fees to the miners are paid. Shops take risks all the time when accepting other forms of currency. Credit card can be stolen, cash can be faked, etc.

Offchain transactions. Although not that transparent, still instant. Bitcoin debit cards are also being developed right now. Load your card with BTC, and shop.
1576  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: June 10, 2014, 04:37:11 PM
hmm relatively new to PB here... just noticed there are currently no contracts for sale. Can anyone speak as to how often this happens? Just curious. Very satisfied with their service thus far  Grin

It ran out, they'll be in stock within a day.
1577  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: June 10, 2014, 04:29:27 PM
The current mining difficulty increases very rapidly if we only have a few GHS seems to be excluded, because it would be very difficult to get BTC

No matter how many GH/s you have, your mining rewards are still proportional. Buying more does not mean you will ROI quicker.

I'll try to answer each and every question posted in the thread!

EDIT: For every 50 questions asked I'll be giving away a free Woodwallet to a random user who's asked a question or helped others in the thread!

Is there woodcoin since you have wood wallet ?

It's a physical wallet, crafted with wood.

Bump you up.
What does the the block header look like before and after hashing?

As far as I understand, a block header is the block hash. So it would look like this after hashing:
Code:
00000000000008a3a41b85b8b29ad444def299fee21793cd8b9e567eab02cd81

And to get that, you need a few crucial pieces of data: The client version, The hash of the previous block, the hash based on all the transactions to be included in the block, the time, the difficulty, and a random 32-bit number.
1579  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bockchain.info - where is my private key on: June 10, 2014, 04:11:21 PM
Just back up the balance to a dat file on cloud?

This makes no sense at all, writing down your balance won't help you recover your coins.

I suggest you BIP38 encrypt your key and write it down.

The resistors near the C197 one look burnt, or maybe it's the solder, It's not clear enough.
