the payout address cant be changed from what i know. even if you decide to change the address this only accounts for future mining contracts bought. this means the seller still gets his share of the pie and you get nothing until u purchase a new contract from your new entered address. stay cautious and mail pbmining to ask if this is possible but i think this is a scam.

in case i am right you might wanna tip me 50% of your offer because i am such an angel Cheesy

Well no, you are wrong, that is incorrect.
By the way, change your PrimeDice signature, there's a new one that you must use.

Turk thank you very much  for clarifying this ,

Hey guys lets design something so that we have 4-5 Multipool switcher with MH > BTC ratio showing on each site..... and what this software does is check the % 1MH to BTC and once something below  and for a certain poreiod of time it swtiches to the next pool failover style so it keep checking back evry 5 minutes to check how the pofits are going to swtcih back,,, My favourite pool is clevermining so I would like to keep returfning back automatically once profts are back up ok then Once we see this drop there is an automatic script that switch to the next multipool

This doesn't make sense and won't do you any good, because it's not how variance works. This is how variance works:

This is us not finding even one LTC block during 12 hours (while putting ~50% of our hashrate into LTC) and then finding 6 blocks in 4 hours.

If you have switched away from CleverMining after worse hours, you would miss better hours and in the end your profits would suffer. Switching between pools after some worse periods results in mining during worse periods but most likely missing better periods (on every pool between which you switch). Your profits would be lower. The best you can do is pick a pool which you like and which have good results in the long term average and stick to it.

"Switching between pools after some worse periods results in mining during worse periods but most likely missing better periods"

Sorry Terk, youre an awesome dude but that is simply not true. Its just luck.  12 hours of unlucky mining doesnt mean things will likely turn around or visa versa.  Google "gamblers fallacy".

-_- Let me translate that statement for you.

"Switching between pools after some worse periods results in mining during worse periods but most likely missing better periods"
"Switching between pools after some unlucky periods results in mining during unlucky periods but most likely missing lucky periods"

Hola,

2546  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How do pools/miners secure their Bitcoins? on: May 04, 2014, 11:05:51 AM
Maybe I'm a dummy, but I consider Coinbase safe enough for up to 10 BTC (or $4000-$5000). My bitcoin stays invested, so I've never had that much in there.

What do you mean by 'invested'?

Invested in shares on CryptoStocks, HaveLock, or other gambling sites?

How do pools secure their bitcoins?  Well mostly pools are holding other people's bitcoins. Why bother securing them?   (The answer: pretty poorly.)

Why bother securing them? Just concerned about attackers getting into the pool's bitcoind (if that's how they manage the keys), or if an attacker manages to ride your user session.

Do you think this isn't something I should worry about? I saw that some pools were hacked last night and the compensation came out of the pool owner's pocket :s

Well, if they bother to compensate, then they did take security seriously, but attackers still managed to penetrate it.

Some pools don't even bother, since it's not their money, it's the miners money. They delete all evidence of the hack and continue operation.

And as Terk said a while ago, if he showed you per minute stats, there would be many minutes at 0% LTC profitability, and then suddenly a minute at 4000% LTC profitability.

What matters is the long-term average, not per hour stats.

That's exactly how the coin switching algorithm works...
Also, full stops exist.

what could be the reason for the cpu fan not spinning?

Are you sure that you have plugged in the CPU fan power cable? If yes, try another one, instead of the CPU one, there might be one marked as PSU_FAN_1 on your motherboard.

Is there another server in the US other then stratum+tcp://us.clevermining.com:3333
Seems like hash rate wont come up I throw over 23MH/S and for over 24 hrs it only shows 15
When I point them to my Doge pool I get 20.7+ I just thought if there was a closer US server it may help out a little bit.
Thanks

No, there isn't right now.

Guys why do I see below 100% vs LTC??? Hows is that possible, why should it get below 100% isnt the point to be equal or more than LTC whats happening with this pool the last week its been bad profitability and right now im looking at 0.00289 wow wtf is that... I dont like having to point my miners at another pool but waffle is looking better at this point atleast its over 100% or equal

Isn't the aim of humanity to create world peace and a perfect world for everybody?
It's not that easy to do what you want, you know.
2554  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: May 03, 2014, 10:26:45 PM
Just out of curiosity

Is there any other cloud mining service besides pb mining and cex?

Check out www.kaysid.com for cloud mining. We have been around for a long time and would love to have your business.

Can you just stop spamming your ads everywhere?
2555  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Methud | bitcoin cloud mining on: May 03, 2014, 10:25:30 PM
I have an open pre-order with Methud. As so far I have not seen anything yet.
Their dashboard should have launched yesterday but it's not available and so far no confirmation of any activity.

Support is really nice, but until I see proof it's working I don't believe it.

I jumped in too fast without researching first, will keep you guys up-to-date if anything changes! Just don't get it yet.

That's good. It looks legit, but it's nice if we got some feedback from real users.

Please just ignore China.

Or even better: CEO of Bitcoin Officially Bans China

But too bad, it was made on 1 Apr. Smiley

I actually think that that article was too misleading for some retards, and they read it the wrong way round.
2557  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: selling FB accounts and Email addresses list for marketing and making money on: May 03, 2014, 09:32:16 AM
Hey isn't that something illegal you are selling there buddy as i pre assumed that the emails and the facebook accounts are hacked ??

If so then try selling them on hackforums not here its not a blackhat market !!

No, it's an email list for people to send spam and adverts to. That can be very easily collected, and it's not illegal.
2558  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: ASrock H18 pro btc on: May 03, 2014, 09:30:16 AM
Anyone have this motherboard?

Do you have the psu power connected into 2 sli/xfre power connectors slots?
Is the CPU fan supposed to spin constantly?

Of course the CPU fan is supposed to spin, otherwise what is it's purpose?
I don't have my PSU connected to the 2 additional molex connectors, since I have a shitty PSU, and the cables are too short.
2559  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin question? on: May 03, 2014, 09:27:51 AM
I hear that bitcoin will be unbanned after may 10 in China. Does that mean bitcoins price will go up? Should I buy now? Thanks guys.

Bitcoin has never been banned in China. Never.

It is not banned, nor it is allowed. Ambiguous bollocks.

Who says it isn't allowed? It's the PBOC putting pressure on banks to stop them dealing with bitcoin exchanges, but using bitcoins is perfectly fine in China.
