Yeah, it's quite brilliant really. All that Maxcoin rage will get chanelled into Anti-Keiser-Coin.

I see no major reason to change the name. FairKeiserCoin only makes sense if you understand the coin's message. Anti-Keiser-Coin doesn't really need explaining.

It's already popular. It just needs a nice shiny new logo, a new wallet and to wait until MaxCoin crashes to see AKC really take off.

Well, actually if/when MaxCoin crashes we could see a flood of angry MaxCoin users flocking to AKC as a sign of protest. People are going to get burned by MaxCoin. I'm sure a few already have.

MachineCoin actually taught me how to mine with the command line wallet. 

Legally he can't do anything. It's a freedom of speech issue, and also satire is protected by law also. If Max Keiser actually did anything at all, he would only be legitimising the coin and raising its profile. He's not an idiot. He'll ignore it until it becomes a major thorn in his side.

Couldn't we just pony up a bit of BTC and get this on a small exchange?

Maybe I can post a video showing how my PC just completely shuts down when I try to mine on it. I think I blew out a VRM or a capacitor. When it happened I heard what sounded like electrical discharges, the fan started making horrible grinding noises and then the PC just shutdown completely. I rebooted, and every time I try to mine on it my PC just shuts down. The fans still spin, but other than that it's nothing more than a fancy paperweight. Thankfully it's my secondary card. My main card is a GTX 670, which as you know is pretty bad at mining. I haven't mined on that either. I dare not until I know what caused the hardware failure.

I'll need to back up all my wallets and files before I attempt to re-create the fault. I'm worried the next time I try it I may corrupt my hard drive.

An R9 280x. I was solo mining EBT for 2-3 days. I then let the card rest a couple of hours. Tried mining another coin and it just died on the spot. Final nail in the coffin.

Still, I'm happy with the EBT I got.  

I'll have to rely on my programming skills for a few weeks to recover my losses. Maybe I can make something useful.

EBT is a great coin. PoS coins are the future.

We're not actually that far away from the first block halving. It will be interesting to see what effect that has on the coin. I still see some strong sell walls on coinup, so us coin holders still see the value in holding Grain. It's just that the buyers aren't quite getting the message.

A lot of other coins are stealing the thunder right now. It's easy to forget about stable, steady coins when the "next big thing" is out. The PoS coin at the moment is Mint, but I have some reservations about it; it'll end up as a 99% PoS coin, and coming from someone who holds several million ColossusCoin, that doesn't excite me all that much.

I do think PoS coins are the future though in a lot of ways. People who are new to Cryptocurrency, the "casual" newcomers will have a much easier time with PoS coins such as Grain; how do you mine Grain? Just buy some, put it in your wallet, and earn interest.

Grain's problem is that it isn't shouting loudly enough about its PoS nature, and it's by far the best PoS coin out there. Perfect balance between PoS/PoW, with great bonus block rewards for solo miners.

What's not to love?

I've earned a couple of thousand Grain (it's hard to know exactly how much, but I'll find out) just from having them sit in my wallet while I mine other coins. How awesome is that? It's almost like free money.  

moonmoon isn't well at the moment. I've been mining particle since it began, and from what I've seen moonmoon is a hard working developer who has devoted a great amount of time and effort into Particle, and has even invested his own money into it. That should tell you all you need to know.

Let people dump. I'll be buying more PRT when I have some BTC to spare. This coin has massive potential. It's only sad that so few people can see it.

I agree. I've seen many alts start like this, then suddenly when enough people realise the potential at the same time, difficulty goes up, price goes up, and suddenly the momentum keeps on going. People are bound to dump and profit mine, but these people are actually the worst off when the coin takes off, as only the holders and investors will see the long term gains.

Prospercoin is a very nice vanilla coin. No gimmicks or hype, just a great coin with a perfect block reward and a great developer.

I have a couple of thousand, and I plan to hold on to them for quite some time, as I genuinely believe Prospercoin will gain a lot of value in future. It has huge potential to soar on the Chinese markets too, so I'm waiting for the day when my coins are worth ten fold.

Keeping a close eye on this one.

Got a lot of studying to do this weekend, and I think I totalled my R9 280x. Ah well, it's the risk we take, right? 

It's not like I haven't made the BTC to cover the loss, but still, it does leave me hanging until I get it replaced.

Going to be a little inactive for a few days. Having some PC problems and have a ton of paperwork to do this weekend. I'll be around though.  

Well my main mining card died this week, so that makes my EBT somewhat relevant. Maybe it will eventually fund my replacement card.
