NOTE

If your RX580 cards have dual bios then you are fine and have a secondary backup if things go wrong with flashing bios.

If not please check this out.

I did not keep a backup of original bios for my RX 580 and RX 570 cards. So, I wanted to revert it back to original bios before selling them.
This is where I hit a major problem. I downloaded which seems to be original bios from the techpowerup website.
I flashed the bios in 14 of RX 580 cards and 2 of RX 570 cards.
10 of RX 580 cards were all fine and working perfectly which I sold but the remaining cards are all soft bricked and I am still trying to revive them.
I have 6 cards of this series that is non-functional now just because of not keeping the original bios.

Please don't make this mistake that as I did.

Here is my thread for the same: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5181747.msg52358708#msg52358708

cards are never bios bricked, use the paperclip trick to boot to original bios, sometimes
you can also uninstall drivers and still load the cards and then reflash, if they cards crash the rig isntall a good working card into the primary video slot and the other cards can still be reflashed that way.

paperclip trick works for sure

still need propper support for xmrrig cpu miner, basicaly a new tab that shows cpus and their
im still running ny cpus on loki outside of the app.  Randomx is going to be really big but you guys are really behind on your cpu mining bits
The last part of the first line in your post was missing. Is it better CPU temperature display you are looking for? Today those are only displayed on the System tab if the Remote Agent is running as Admin. Was it on the CPU tab you wanted additional information?

Please let me know the details of your request and I will of course look into if it can be supported and improved. Please also let me know if it's some specific command line feature missing that forces you to start the mining outside of Awesome Miner. Thanks!

-well for one when you go to coins you don’t see randomx or it’s variants listed for instance you still have loki with the old algo, so you can’t even set it up for the profit dashboard
-we need a separate tab like gpus and asics have that lets you see what cpu rigs are added as profit miners, hash rate pool display temps acceppted etc just like how gpus and asic are handled, basically tread the cpu miner like
how you treeat an asic or gpu rig
Loki is still reported with the old algorithm from CoinCalculators.io. For WhatToMine it's correct with RandomXL but currently not in their main listing (but will probably be soon). To add it manually, please go to the Options dialog, Statistics Provider section and add this WhatToMine JSON URL:
https://whattomine.com/coins/249.json
Now Loki will show up with the RandomXL algorithm.

The next issue here is that Loki requires an Exponental Factor of 0 instead of 32 to display the profit information correctly. I will make this adjustment in the next release. It can also be configured for the Loki coin on the Coins tab, where the Properties dialog for Loki will allow you to set the Exponental Factor to 0.

Thanks for the suggestions as well. In the miner list a Managed Miner or Managed Profit Miner based on CPU mining software like XmRig or CpuMiner-Opt is displayed very similar to how a GPU miner is displayed. There are already a separate tab for CPU's at the bottom of the screen, but it's not as detailed as for GPU/ASIC miners. Missing temperature display is one limitation for example and would be something that should be improved. Just like for GPU mining, all mining software doesn't support reporting accepted/rejected shares per device - only as a total number.

thanks for looking in to this, im trying to build up a cpu farm , upgrading all the cpus on my 25 rigs to mine randomx so  a tab for cpus would be far more easy to manage , watch the details and start/stop them , switch coins or pools similar to asics and gpus. Ill play around thought and see what i can get out of the current client

Switch to Gemini I got worried about my tax liability after I saw these emails were going out and emailed gemeni

Thanks for reaching out. Based on your account history, you did not meet the threshold for number of digital asset sales transactions in 2017 and 2018 and, therefore, Gemini does not have any tax statements available for you. Please note that Gemini will only send Forms 1099-K to customers and the IRS where both of the following conditions are met:

1. The customer's number of bitcoin, ether, Zcash, litecoin, and bitcoin cash sales transactions on the exchange exceeds 200 transactions per year, and
2. The customer's total sales proceeds from all sales transactions exceeds $20,000 per year.

For your reference, the amounts that would be reported on the Form come directly from an account’s transaction history Excel file, which can be accessed by following the three steps below:

Tho makes far more sense , if you are not trading like crazy over 200k trasacations no way coinbase should be farming out your info to the irs.  for the record I just use Gemini to go from crypto to fiat , sometimes I buy Btc through it but I don’t trade there , fees are too high and also to stay unde the radar.

Leave coinbase they are shitheads, btw I move well over 80 90k usd though my gemeni account each of the last two years Lol

200 not 200k.

My advice is use a non kyc exchange for your day to day trades , high volume shit and use another one far less frequently to cash out as needed no more than 2 to 3 transactions a month.  and Dump Coinbase!!

Yes but you should always just pay any taxes earned on income such as mining or capital gains such as trading. They might not send any statements to IRS right now since you are below $20K threshold but all your account history will be permantently there.

So in the future if the IRS sends Gemini an inquiry for any previous tax years even though you are under the $20K threshold they might still send your records. Also another issue is that your bank will see you are getting funds from Gemini and your bank will also have to provide that info to the IRS if they ask how much money was received from crypto exchanges.

The entire thing is a real big headache and its just better to pay the taxes than try and hide income.

All that’s true but I would rather pay it on my Own rather than have coinbase automatically sending my stuff out willy nilly to the irs , I pay my taxes based on my own calculations,  plus the bank wound never send shit to the irs unless you are pushing 10k per transaction which  is stupid if you are lol

When will you be adding random xl for Loki
Is it a fork and change of algorithm for this coin?
https://www.coincalculators.io/coin/loki

It looks like XmRig will support this one. I will look into it.

Update: It's supported by XmRig 2.99 but this one introduces command line and API changes as well. For this reason I cannot push the update yet - but I will add support for it within the next few days.

awseomse @patrike thanks , this is important because in October XMR is forking to the same algo

Funds can be stolen regardless of the level of security you have enabled!

Do not leave funds on IDAX

I reported it via email and telegram , telegram support basically gave me the I’m sorry response lol
You, as a customer, deserve a better response than a mere sorry blah blah blah.
I would consider opening a thread in scam or reputation thread if I were you and present all the necessary details. You may not get yours back but maybe you can help save someone's funds from that exchange.

Yeah will do

I already consider the funds lost , just a warning to other users , this exchange is definitely shady
