161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What makes a post to be quality? on: April 07, 2024, 07:59:03 PM
What makes a post to be quality? Good English language or the content of the post?.
And if good English, well written in good sentences defines a post to be quality is it that Non English speakers are not qualify to be in this forum or to discuss in general boards because they are only good in speaking broken English which is a borrowed language.

English is not what makes a post quality, we have local boards where important discussion happen and they are alive without English. What makes a post quality is all about the representation, the easy comprehension and delivery is what makes a post a quality. Some people will write something good, right answer but the delivery are poor and it makes the compensation difficult for readers, this is applicable in any language be it English or any of the local board, post delivery is very important and easy comprehension.

Haven't you seen long post on this board about tutorials and guide and get they don't get much attention and merit? That's because some people are forcing to write, they are trying to impress people that they are good and understand what it takes to be a member of the forum but most often their post doesn't even have a direction, no delivery and comprehension.
162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is age a limitation in Bitcoin on: April 07, 2024, 06:20:47 PM
Hi there to all of you. One of the most amazing things I've noticed about Bitcoin is that it doesn't have an age requirement before using it or creating a wallet. In traditional banking, however, one must be 16 or older to open an account, unless they have assistance from a guide who helped them do so. Additionally, no matter how young you are, no one can question you about how you make money because no one keeps an eye on your wallet.

When Satishi writes in his whitepaper that Bitcoin is censorship resistance, these are the part of what that phrase entails. Bitcoin is open to everyone irrespective of the gender, the tribe, the race, the ethnicity or even country, nobody has any power over it because it's open for every one, not even in the absence of internet can stop Bitcoin use because there are many alternatives that Bitcoin can be access and used.

Age is not a problem when it comes to using of Bitcoin but I think on a personal opinion, children exposure should be limited when it comes to use of Bitcoin, the parent can set up the wallet for them if they want to and help them be the holder and hand over to them when they have come of age, they can also educate them on Bitcoin technology but do not let them get early exposure, there are some important things that are important about life they may skip if they have early access to Bitcoin.
163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is forex trading a hobby or a skill on: April 07, 2024, 06:00:29 PM
-snip-
So as a skill forex trading is technical and acquired through special training and then applied to the physical trading market, while as a hobby traders trade regularly mostly when the trader is less busy and also most traders trade for fun,

So considering these points I can say that forex trading is a skill and also an hobby, your opinions are much well welcomed.

Let's put it this way. Have you seen someone that is working in a particular field, he go to work everyday and does all his work perfectly but if you ask him if he loves the job he is doing and he will tell you No, that's what skill and jobs are, it has two side, a person can loves his job and becomes a hobby and may decide to do the job without any love for it.

If you are very good in trading with adequate skills necessary to make money, you will cherish any good times that you spent in it. Imagine making $3k grand profits under your roof because you are skilled and understand the dynamics of the market and you expect not to love doing it, I will choose that as a profession and wouldn't ever bother to make application to any company or any organization unless it's a trading firm that will need my service.
164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump Bitcoin over $70,000! on: April 07, 2024, 05:25:25 PM
Okay whales, pump Bitcoin up!  I need to make a big profit on this.  And do whatever it takes to surge Shiba Inu as much as possible too.  It doesn't have to be true, it just has to make me money.

The delusion people had on ICO time has been teleported into meme coins and it so sad that even the influencers that I do look up to because of their dedicated work and push for Bitcoin adoption are now shilling these meme coins. It has always been about the profits isn't and doesn't care about what the projects and coins will impact into  crypto.

Bitcoin has printed 3x since it has started this run, under normal market condition this will.be celebrated even in traditional mrkaet but people are used to this 20x, 40x the are used to making in bull run, I'm not saying this can't be achieved again but I'm just saying that the more the market cap of already existing coins grow, the less the will pump, either real coin or shit coins. The closes coin Shiba can reach in the market if there IS FOMO is BNB and it has market cap of $80B, shib can only do 5x from it's current market of $16B to print that profits, so you have to reduce your expectations.

Last time I check Shiba, development wise there is nothing new that is been built on Shiba just another erc20 shitcoins that people are playing on. Be careful with meme coins, that's what I have to give you.
165  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC to Tether for percentage gain on: April 07, 2024, 05:07:20 PM

I'll keep this one short.

Question
HODL is common practice with many Bitcoiners but has anyone braved the risk of changing out BTC for a stablecoin to then change back into BTC when the price has significantly lowered to gain percentages?

One of the basic way to make profits From Bitcoin or any other coin is holding them and then sell when you know that the time is right but the problem with Bitcoin market is that there is not certainty, you can see Bitcoin at $70k today and in the next 24 hours, you see it in under $60k. So what some smart traders does is that they sell anytime the market has made a significant profits and buy back when the price is down again.

Doing this is risky as you may miss out but everything about Bitcoin is taking risk. For instance, you bought Bitcoin when it was $20k and then you sold when the price hit $73k, the price might go above that level but you u not and buy back again perhaps when we dip down to $40k, you will have accumulated more percentage of Bitcoin  and this process is profitable as long as you don't touch your trading capital.

Quote
Personal Experience
I have held & traded, personal view is that the trading aspect is exciting (within reason) as it yields percentage points. Having a risk assessed figure in mind then switching out to wait for the prolonged market decline to join back draws very few negatives from my view.[/center]

This method is great but there is one thing that one need to cut out, the urge to enter the market after you sold. Have you imagine selling at $70 and then Bitcoin went as high as $300k, will you be confident and less greedy not to fomo? If you can, then this method of accumulating more percentage of Bitcoin/more Tether will work for you for long term.
166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About running an online casino vs an offline casino on: April 06, 2024, 08:51:58 PM
1. Is running offline casinos the same as running an online casino?

The running is the same because they both involved players playing, the same thing but the little difference is the online and offline, onw require you to go to a place where there is gambling and the other one need just any device that can get you and internet.

Quote
2. What do online casinos have to lose if they aren't making as much money as they intended?

It's definitely profits, if you are not making much money, it's means that you will be making loss and that means they will be losing much on the profits the casino is expected to make at then end of the month or th year.

Quote
3. With online casinos, isn't the number of hiring being limited compared to someone who wants to run an offline casino?

I think depends on how large the offline casino is. If the offline casino is large, you will need much number of staffs to manage it together but if it's small, then you need just few people but as for online casino, even if the games are large in number or small in number, you can hire any numbers you think it's okay for the online casino. However, you need to have a web developer to be active if you own online casino.

Quote
4. Which one is more easier to manage than the other?

And the last question is, which one would you go for if you have the resources?

Casino are all diffict to manage and supervise. I think online can only be supervise by a web developer but as for offline  casino, you need every staff to be available to monitor your business and every activities.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 06, 2024, 08:29:22 PM
It's up to you, no one is forcing you just because you don't bet on that match.
Haaland can score at any time, especially when he has a good chance. No matter how many goals he scored in the last few games, the center forward's real function is to score goals. Haaland is a strong center forward, not only can score goals but he can also provide assists to his teammates.

When people say things about a player, you will think that if they are given the same opportunity they are going to do better but give them a small field to do some little skills and watch them disappoint you, it's even those that makes analysis but can't do anything. People forget that when a player is becomes a target, it becomes difficult for him to make use of any chance, Haaland wasn't having a chance that's why Kevin was doing all the work alone instead of assisting Haaland.

Quote
Manchester City and Real Madrid have both been good in the last few matches, I mean both have appeared consistent with their wins. Haaland, De Bruyne, Rodri, Foden and all the main players seem ready to play the first leg at Santiago Bernabeu, except for Ederson and Ake who are reportedly still injured. I hope Real Madrid won't give Manchester City much space to develop their game, but if they don't close tight then it's very possible to concede a few goals.

The two teams has been in good shape since they left their respective knockout stage, the players are fit and none of them is currently injured. Real Madrid has been quiet about this games and that's makes me think that they will win this match, it's not easy as we think about this two teams outcome but I'm betting on Real Madrid on come out with outstanding results.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 06, 2024, 08:12:58 PM
Roma showed their best performance, despite their poor results and performance in the last match, but in this match Roma really tried harder to win, and this is a derby match which is of course a match full of prestige.
Lazio have actually put up fierce resistance, but it must be admitted that Roma's performance under De Rossi's coaching has improved a lot.

Roma currently has the opportunity to finish in the top 4, this is the management target given to De Rossi and if I see their performance continues to improve then I am quite optimistic that they will be able to meet this target.

I remember when Roma sack Mourinho, I was a bit emotional considering what he has gave to the team since he resume to the club but sometimes I just think it's better to let emotions slide and look deep into the business aspect, De Rossi meant business and he is already doing that and I hope he continues to that because it seems the teams now have close points, just one or two different and as the league comes to the end, the tougher it becomes as everyone will be looking for the best exit among the top.

Roma can finish at the top but we can't comfirm that yet until Bologand Juventus played their outstanding match tomorrow, if they lose or draw, that means the load work if Roma has reduced but if the both win there matches, then there is much work to be done by De Rossi.

PSG is smart to be chasing Osimhen. This guy, hes got the potential to be the next big thing, right up there with Haaland and Mbappe. €120 million? Honestly, sounds like a bargain considering what he brings to the table. He might not be hitting peak form right now, but very few players can do that year after year. I'd bet my best golf course that he's itching to prove himself in the Premier League - its the most challenging out there. Man United or Chelsea would be smart to snag him.  PSG can throw huge money at him. Plus, stepping into Mbappe's shoes, the Paris lifestyle... hard to turn that down.

I don't find it fun when we make comparison of one the greatest players and include Mbape all the time. Osimhen and Haaland are both great strikers but I have watch them countless times and what they both have in common is that they can't perform well without a good midfielder, Haaland is always dependent on Kevin De Bruyne while Osimhen is always depend on Khvicha but allow Mbape to have his way with ball, he will do some wonders and his speed to make goals over and over again.

If PSG want Osimhen, they are going to get him but I don't think he will want to go over there, not after what he experienced in Italy and Napoli, the fans has been amazing but even tye club weren't helping when he needed them the most because they were counting on satisfying their money than satisfy their own player. I think Osimhen will prioritize going to any Premier League team.

Arsenal have a fairly consistent performance now with quite a lot of motivation so they won't have any difficulty winning the match even though they are playing at home to Brighton.
Now Arsenal are currently 2 goals ahead, there are 10 minutes left in the match so I think it won't be difficult for Arsenal to maintain their lead and get 3 points this week.

Arsenal had a great time with Brighton and so far this season has been one of the greatest cleen sheet they have ever win both home and away. Now they are the top of the table with 71 points, just a single difference from Manchester City and Liverpool are just waiting to play Manchester united to get back to where they were but the way Manchester united were humiliated by Chelsea, they are not going to let that happened again in Old Trafford, which means Liverpool are between the dragon claws.

Quote
Brighton's performance has really declined now, they are unable to maintain the stability of the team's performance and I think that is quite natural because this squad is not filled with players who have good quality to be able to compete at the top of the Premier League standings.

Brighton was all theirself last season but couldn't keep up with the stress of the league and finish in the 6th place but this time is different, they are now neighbors to Chelsea without a better place, just parambulating without any directions, 11 win 10 wins 10 loss is just bad for them to keep as a record but thanks their stars, they are still in the Premier League next season.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Meme" coins are ruining everything on: April 05, 2024, 05:13:38 PM
What's your opinion on this? Do you think the "meme" coins craze will move the industry away from being a utilitarian one to a speculative one? Will the hype last forever? Do you think crypto will do fine with "meme" coins in the way?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

I'm just coming from a thread that is similar to this one and I will drop this one again. Last bull run right, a lot of coins pump and people weren't so worried about which one is next and which is not but in this bull run, Bitcoin halving that is responsible for the event hasn't even started yet but it seems a lot of people are gas lightning the entire thing to make quick money and it's not working as they are manipulating it and they all moved to meme coins since it was what pumped the most in the last bull run.

I have noticed that when a coin lack untility and it pumped, after that period it dump and might be there after a while, then some people will buy more and when they see that it's not pumping as they expected, the selling continues until it run out of volume, I'm very sure that these phase will soon fade out when real coins started making moves especially when dominance start to move to those coins.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is one altcoin you will never invest in 2024 even if it has massive pump? on: April 05, 2024, 04:52:29 PM
Which is one altcoin you will never invest in 2024 even if it has massive pump? What is your reason behind this ?

You see that coin they call Doge coin? I have seen how fast that coin has made a lot of people rich, bought them their favorite dream house and cars(that's for people that bought early) and a lot of other things but I just can't afford to buy a dollar worth because the idea of the coin has made crypto market became a shity place, I thought we were done with ICO things until I started seeing dog things, Shiba this and Shiba that, Inu this and that and yet many people were still buying this shitcoins.

There is another they called PEPE, at some point I was seeing PEPE2.0 and I'm like, what's happening with all these shuts launching this coins and then I remembered that people don't value the project, it has never been about the projects but how they can make their money here and move to the next one. This is how we continue to liter everywhere with abandoned projects, sometimes I think exchanges need regulation but I forgot they are only after the fees and profits because they also involved in insider trading with these coins.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 05, 2024, 04:40:43 PM
selling Rodrygo is a serious risk for Real Madrid. This guy's not just a scorer; he's a playmaker, a key part of how that team flows offensively. Pull him out, and the whole dynamic shifts. Valverde's always getting banged up, so relying entirely on Diaz is a major gamble

Bigger picture: finding someone as good as Rodrygo? That's gonna be tough, and expensive as hell. Premier League teams throw around crazy transfer fees, but is that the best move for either side? I doubt it. Point is, Madrid needs to be damn sure about this. It's deeper than just replacing one player; this is about keeping the whole machine running smooth

Whatever that is happening santiago bernabéu camp, I'm not sure if Florentino is going to allow such deal to even happen. If it's money, Real Madrid has it and this is the reason why it's always difficult to get there best players with such huge money for the club and also for the players because they understand how to take care of their family, if the are going to be letting go of any player right now, it wouldn't be young one, definitely it would be Modric.

Even if Mbape deal is finally completed and expected to start early as possible, I'm very sure that Anceloti will always find his way and make Rodrigo, Mbape and Vinicious to blend in together. When Bellingham was brought into the midfield, his presence doesn't affect the rest of the players, there are times he needed substitute and everything was okay for the team.

Chelsea really deserved the win. Even though they were 3-2 behind Man United, they still had very high spirits, as if they were very confident that they could catch up. I think Man United are starting to lose their rhythm when Rashford and McTominay played. Neither of them seems to have made a significant contribution. Even Rashford also looks lazy to help Man United's defense.

They actually work for that match and it favoured them, I didn't expect them to make that quick come back but if a player should help his team with a hatrick in a game, they deserved to win that match, you will think that match was the final match in the Premier League but it's worth it because of tension everwhere. Now that Chelsea has stopped Manchester united from going forward to the top of the table, this win might be significant to them by stats but it is meaningless right now as they will forever remain below top 7.

Manchester united should better buckle up in their next match of 31 so as to continue to lead West Ham else I fear that they might not be able to continue to the Europa League next season. Over throwing Tottenham might look difficult but the best they continue to assume to get to the top of the table, the faster the stay ahead of West Ham in this league.

Now I started to think about the real life UFC, maybe this is even happening underground and we don't know? Jake and Mike Tyson's upcoming fight for example is gearing up, many believe that Mike will win, but maybe something like this will happen?

Many gamblers are placing bets on this fighter since its more reliable than you against the casino games, this is all about agility and skills, but the possibility of intent loss to make more money is also possible in this game, what's your take on this?

Mike Tyson is one of the legendary fighter I respected more, if there is any fight I don't think it should be against Jake but what do I know, UFC is now more like entertainment where people are given what they want and not what the fight is really about, I'm not sure if Jake can survive Tyson fist in the first round during his peak but they are fixing the fight to make money from this two individuals and the fact that people knows Tyson world wide will make these game to be more interesting. Some people also think that this fight is just about giving more publicity to Jake since Tyson is legend but will equally make some money as well.

I just hope Tyson doesn't lose this fight to Jake, it will lose its reputation and many wouldn't take them serious again because that's exactly what I'm going to bet onto, Tyson will beat Jake blue black if everything were to be normal. Let's see how "sign the contract" will end.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 04, 2024, 08:06:51 PM
It would be great to watch Mbappe at Manchester City. I'm sure every Manchester City fan would want that. But we know that Mbappe had some problems before when he was in the same team with Neymar and Messi. He might have similar problems playing with Haaland. There are younger players at Real Madrid, so he can gain respect from them. And we can see him as a dominant character at Real Madrid. But when he plays with Haaland he might not be the dominant character. I think he will be more successful at Real Madrid.

It will be selfish of City to allow such to happen. Look at how good squad of Manchester City are looking good, if you add Mbape to that guys, then there is going to be a big problem in Premier League and Champions league or any league they find theirself. I'm not even sure if Manchester City has the funds to but Mbape with such amount of money, remember that Manchester City still has a court case with Fifa regarding pending FFP, that case is not over yet that's why I'm not sure they will want Mbape deal.

Mbape need to be bail from the shackles of PSG and since Real Madrid want him, they have to strike a deal which is anonymously completed, they are just waiting for the right time to make a public announcement especially Fabrizio to say here we go, Mbape to Real Madrid, everything is completed, what next is the medical and he will be traveling to Spain tomorrow for medical checkup. United should be able to get the win today, or at least they have to get the win looking at the standings if they want to have any chance at all, they need to win this match. Villa is already doing better than everyone expected, and there is a serious possibility that they could be at UCL next season, Spurs are pushing for it, and could get that spot because they are lacking one game so they could be ahead, but United is almost 10 points behind, it is already quite tough to reach there, which we could assume already they won't but at least they need to try.

Better yet, West Ham is right on their tail and that would mean no European competition at all, not even conference, if West Ham passes United, so they should try their best.

The score card of Tottenham seems to be much better than that of Aston Villa in every direction and another advantage they have is that they are likely to win their next match against Nottingham Forest and if that happened, it will put Tottenham among the top 4 in the table with 30 round of matches all played. My only fear is how they are going to handle the rest of their matches against Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal because those teams aren't backing down from the rest of their matches.

From the round West Ham has played(31), I think it's easy for Manchester united to finish in the 6th if the worst happened because they are one game behind West Ham. My only worried for them right now is that they have conceded a goal in the beginning of their match with Chelsea, they better win or draw this one or there faith remain unseal without anything European league next season.

Chelsea president is saying he has to stay on course, but he did made some big moves with a rush the moment he got in, and that's a wrong move. If I had enough money to buy a team like Chelsea, I wouldn't really do anything like this, I would simply let the team run it's course first, like see what they need, instead of rushing to get big name players and pay a lot of money.

I get it, they could pay 80 million on a player, sign 8 year contract, and only have 10 million per year on their paper, so next season when they sell him for 50, they look in profit and could spend even more. That's a "strategy", but a wrong one. I think they should just let the team be right now, and look what parts of it looking like it's not doing well.

Todd Boehly is rich but he doesn't see beyond his space but in glad the nemesis is still dealing with them. Why sack Tuchel all of a sudden, since that man left the club, he might have not win any trophy yet but I'm very confident that if he is still the coach of Chelsea, they would have been in a better place than where the are right now, so annoying that hoh will think Chelsea is glued to number 10, 11 and 12 place. No improvement, nothing to show for the club, just apologies coming from the coach weekly for their steady failures.

There are some players that are still good in the club but you know that no matter how good you are as a player, you need other players to do their own part of the performance else you will just be like one unserious player that has nothing to contribute to your team. They also need to sack Pochettino as soon as possible, enough of the fun he has had in the club, he should go to the next club but I doubt if he would get a job very soon.
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 03, 2024, 08:00:52 PM
It is true that when a club sets such a high price for a player, it actually says that this player is not for sale, but if a buyer is found for such a high price and they will be able to make an appropriate replacement, for this money. On the other hand, I constantly see how prices for players are constantly rising, if earlier it was a wonder to hear the amount of 100 million, now it has become the norm for almost any top club.

Sometimes is not because they don't want to sell the player, it's because the player might be an assets to them and it's an opportunity to make a ton of money if demand comes from other clubs. For instance, take a look at Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, Osimhen, and Bellingham, these players are expensive because of their contributions to their individual teams. Haaland is now the highest goal scorer in the Premier League and one of the best in the Champions League, any team that want to have him will have to cough our money.

Though, these days, players are now over hype and inflated with prices. These days, we don't have players that are that skilled like we do have during the days of Ronaldinho, Kaka, Zidane and many of them and yet their price tags weren't this expensive but today what we have are just goal scorers and tapping that make their usual contributions and get endorsed for performance, we really need to do better with these prices.
