OK, what's the FUD this week?

Money printer still going Brrr at +$56B USD per day since we blew the debt limit.

Over $700B printed in the last couple weeks.

Buckle up, buckaroos.

It's going to get worse before it gets worse.

Negativity?
You were much more fun when you
Were still drinking booze.

Honestly, I'm just fucking around with the zero, shit. I had Peńa on the mind.

...speaking of which, maybe I was more fun to myself on booze, but a monster to everyone else.

Turns out a medicine re-adjustment after a friend died ~6 years ago really threw me off the rails, and took a very long time to make the correlation... blah blah blah, I've been in psychotropic hell off-and-on since the New Year getting re-balanced on the right new meds; starting low, and gradually building up until I'm symptom-free again (I'm practically there, now... just another 4 weeks of enteric discomfort...)

It's incredible how blunted I was now that I'm blessedly in the final stages of rebalancing.

I was robbed of my empathetic and rational abilities and converted everything directly into anger, that I took out on those around me.

Terrifying and humbling experience to discover in retrospect, and needing to make the correction.

tl;dr: 6 months later, I'm feeling like a new person, everything emotional is magnified, and I'm struggling with "emotional overload" if that makes any sense, but I can handle that thanks to wisdom. Blessedly the anxiety symptoms are finally starting to go away, and the depression is nowhere to be found. Additionally, I don't think I could become as angry as I was over the last 6 years if I wanted to. Night/Day change.

These psychotropic drugs can be hell. Not proud to be on them, but the other side of this is, I would really be struggling as a human to make it in this world, without the help.

Can trace the genetic "curse" back about 4 generations. Both sides of the family in differing forms. No use fighting your biology.

Have found peace returning to ranch life, despite the stresses of that project.

Be good to yourselves. You only get this one life.

EDIT: Conjure One - I Don't Want To Go There

So you've met/spoken with Leeb? Did I get that right?

Worked with him on a project many years ago.

Say "Hi" to him every once in a while. Caught their last round through Dallas supporting The Revolting Cocks.

Do not communicate very often. It's a purely business relationship, but I'm a personal fan of many of his projects.

Was amusing that he was basically booted from Skinny Puppy for being such a shit live synth player.

Wasn't aware of Bill Leeb's bad aspects... Well, so be it, whatever it takes to create such beautiful works of musical art. It's probably more of Fulber's work anyway, considering his Conjure One creations.

Bill is more of a producer type, and an awful stage presence.

All of his underlings do the heavy lifting with the sound design and programming - Bill just basically phones in shitty FLA lyrics, puts the pieces together, and shambles about on stage like an old skeletal Beethoven or something.

They did an orchestral performance of FLA songs in Vienna, and I could not believe Bill didn't have the forethought to do an official recording of it, after speaking with him about it.

He's basically a shit business person that keeps his head above water by churning out material across various projects.

FLA is such a love/hate relationship.

 Never meet your heroes.

Bill Leeb is a self-important snobbish asshole, but Rhys Fulber on the other hand is the real talent in that project, and a pretty chill kinda guy.

If you like Delerium, I'm sure you are aware of Conjure One, which I find just as appealing, if not more, sometimes.

Rhys' solo work is something else entirely awesome.

Going to zero.
Fucking going to zero.
Return to zero.

Hey merit farmers, check it out:

Is that what the mod interface looks like?

Interesting stats in the screenshot - Don't see the red "banned" text when I click the user.

Nonsense. We came here to find the American Dream. Now that we're right in the vortex, you wanna quit?

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I'm starting to get the fear $30k is not going to hold

FWIW, in the process of slowly moving some corn onto the exchange to prepare for a small sell somewhere above $30k

Going to convert some corn to ranch equipment, greenhouse, and other things we'll need before we get to building the ranch house.

Really finding my groove settling back into country life again.

Never mind a cattle rancher; I've discovered the joys of operating heavy machinery and farm tractors and that's just next level fun altogether.

I'm basically learning how to play https://www.farming-simulator.com/ in real life, and it's serene AF.

I never imagined cultivating or cutting many acres of farmland would be so enjoyable.

Feeling very blessed, considering the dark period I've exited - Celebrated 1 year of sobriety this week.

Be good to yourselves.

Bitcoin Shorts Lose $16M as BlackRock ETF Filing Sparks Bullish Outlook

Hopes surrounding a potential U.S. Bitcoin ETF filing by investment giant BlackRock fueled a bullish sentiment among some traders early Friday.

Bitcoin regained the $25,500 level to erase declines of the past two days, when it fell to as low as $24,860. The move provided some respite to major tokens such as Polygon Network’s MATIC and Cardano’s ADA, which eased some losses from a two-day slide. Dogecoin (DOGE) led gains among major tokens with a 4% move in the past 24 hours; litecoin added (LTC) added 3.3%.

On Thursday, CoinDesk reported that BlackRock planned to offer a Bitcoin ETF with crypto exchange Coinbase (COIN) serving as custodian. This was confirmed later after a filing showed the company’s iShares fund management unit filed paperwork for the formation of a spot bitcoin (BTC) ETF.

“An estimated 20% of Americans have now owned bitcoin at some point. BlackRock’s proposed ETF potentially offers the other 80% an option that is altogether more familiar and accessible,” said Sui Chung, CEO of CF Benchmarks, in an email to CoinDesk. “BlackRock’s increasing engagement shows Bitcoin continues to be an asset of interest for some of the world’s largest financial institutions.”

As such, the market strength of bitcoin impacted shorts – or bets against the currency – the asset with BTC-tracked futures seeing over $16 million in short liquidations in the past 24 hours. This figure was smaller than usual due to large declines in the past week, causing some traders to risk less capital than they normally would.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has previously rejected other attempts by fund managers at listing a spot bitcoin ETF, including those from Grayscale, VanEck, and WisdomTree.

I did not see anyone commenting on whether they are Coinbase users.

I'm KYC'd at Coinbase. I got the email and laughed my fucking face off.
