Just processed a payment that was about 6-10x the on-chain cost of doing the transaction.

Going to need a bit to fully grok this.

I'm sorry if my actions are considered bad node etiquette, I'm still learning.

Was not you Smiley

75% of Canadians think the idiot truckers should go home.
They made their point. Sure they had some public sympathy at the start when it was still a peaceful protest. After they disrupted a major city making thousands of people's lives miserable, then blocked international trade costing billions of dollars, support quickly dwindled.
Once you've gotten the message (or given it), hang up the phone.

No.

That's not how revolutions work.

You don't go home when you are told.

You are fighting to make your home a better place due to the tyrants running the place.

If you are listening to, and doing the will of the tyrants, you are a part of the problem.

Fucking hell I need to get on Rick to write that AI project for me to automagically adjust fees based on activity.

Managing nodes that connect to you, and then start draining liquidity at default rates are becoming a minor annoyance; the script should be able to start cranking fees as it starts seeing more activity on the channels, but, well, this ranch isn't gonna build itself, and Rick becoming a bee-keeper and wildlife manager is becoming time-consuming, so...

RTL could use so much work on the UI front. Wish I could select a whole bunch of channels, and set the fee rates on 'em in one go, but, it's either Change All Fees to New Defaults, or hand-management of each channel.

I really can't stand it.

It's becoming a job and stress.

Wrong terminology.
Fascists are right wing. Trudeau is slightly left wing.
Call him a Commie if you want to sling mud.

At the risk of sounding pedantic, the polarity-shifting and meaning of left/right has been in flux so much over the last two decades, I'm not sure it's fair to state fascism is limited to the right wing, moving forward.

We are living in clown world now, unfortunately.

Language is being redefined in near-realtime.

In short, I can't understand why he doesn't want to hang out with us.

Saw your message. Thanks.

Will close his channels. Down for over 30 days now.

Would rather devote resources to active nodes.

Elwar's channels with me have been down for some time.

Not going to force close 'em, 'cuz it's fucking Elwar, but wondering if dude is doing OK.

Fucking corn. No idea why it's testing $43k.

What a stupid day.
630  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 10, 2022, 05:39:17 PM
I was honestly pretty disappointed with corn when I saw it take a shit upon release of the CPI numbers.

Didn't make any sense, until I contextualized it as institutional investors dumping on formulaic or speculative FOMO.

The dump made absolutely no sense to me at all, and it's pretty stunning to me how genuinely upset I became with corn for a bit there.

Have been in this for a really long time, and gotten a good sense of the ebb-and-flow of the rollercoaster ride, but this drop within moments of the CPI numbers being released was fucking retarded, and glad to see rational investors scooping the dip like cock-starved nymphos. This drop didn't make any rational sense to me.

Corn is a moody bitch ever since big institutions got involved, but it was inevitable I guess; let their fear be used to our experienced advantage whenever possible.

If it wasn't for the ranch project quickly picking up pace, I'd be buying more corn, but I'm pretty much tapped out for 2022 with everything we have on the go. 40' bridge span is being installed next week, steel anchor bolts were delivered yesterday, barn pad is going to be graded soon, settled on the geothermal location optimally between all our buildings... Fucking thanks Satoshi holy cow.

Probably going to play with our new track loader and clear some land for Rick's beehives and wildflower patches, this weekend.

We're so gay.

"files within an online account [...] contained the private keys" LOL
I guess it's a good thing that criminals are idiots.

Not even an encrypted wallet.dat?

That's just full retard criminals right there.

Glad they were caught and something was able to be clawed back from the hack.

Can you please leave some routing fees for us smaller LN nodes!... I got ZERO routes yesterday!, very strange!... (was thinking you may have taken them all...)

I dropped off precipitously in activity yesterday as well. Was super busy over the weekend, and then... mostly crickets yesterday. Slow going this morning as well.

Stupid lightning network... bah

Observing $45,400. Time for bed. Rick is getting his eyeballs layzored in the morning so he can ditch the glasses while retiring into life as a bee-keeper, and gotta babysit the dude for a couple days while his eyes recover.

Big balls on that guy. Kinda worried, but the surgeon dudes here in Dallas are all top notch. Hoping for no complications.

Not sure we'll see it in 2022, TBH. Who knows...
I agree, mid-70s would be amazing but I can’t see higher than that this year.
Will be $120000  by November no ifs no buts

FWIW, dug this up from earlier. Still stand by it.

Part of me is fucking concerned if I’m honest.

My gut is telling me S2F falls apart soon. In shambles and an afterthought by March 2022.

Hope I'm wrong, but I think we should expect a slower rise than some are anticipating.

COVID found me too….
First time…. It took a long time ….

You gmi, fam. Just drink plenty of liquids and be sure to listen to your body and rest when it tells you to rest.

Welcome to the natural antibodies club.

@hisslyness, @cAPSLOCK
Wow, that would be quite a headstart! Your kind offer is gratefully appreciated.
Amazon says it will take a few days to get all the stuff: some items are backordered.
After that, my first free half day will be dedicated to installation and configuration.

I know I'm currently docked with cAPSLOCK, not sure i've got a connection with hisslyness, but I'll open a 5M sat channel with your node when you get it configured.

hisslyness, drop me a PM if you're interested in a connection, if we aren't connected already.

EDIT:
640  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 03, 2022, 07:54:28 PM
6 million sats for 300 transactions? Paying those on-chain comes much cheaper.
Yeah, well, that's where the circle jerk part comes in. I'm trying to fill up nicehash for real cheap, but kelo keeps draining it, while simultaneously funding it.
Crazy shit, man.

Ok. My strategy of setting retarded low levels on a drained channel to fill it back up again finally resolved with ln.nicehash.com. Took longer than 24 hours with the kelo circle jerk, but finally got it fully rebalanced to my side, where I can start cranking up the fees again.

Babysat another LOOP connection open, and set fees to 1000/2000 just now - Let's see how long that lasts. Already drained 25% of the liquidity after setting it to 1000/1000 fees. Expecting this one to eventually get shut down because of the way LOOP handles their connections; not sure I'll be able to use my super low pricing strategy to refill the channel my way when it inevitably gets drained to their side...

 Assholes.
