Well, shit is starting to get real on Rancho Lawblaw. Closing on three parcels Friday. ~140 acres total. ~1.3 mile clear shot from one road on the west side of the property, to a main road on east side of the property.
Whee.
Thank you, Satoshi. Wherever you are.

Why do you think that you know anything about my situation? It all a bunch of baby-talk gobbledygook. You try to read too much into people and it is misfiring 100%, at least in my case.
I wish I could manifest my wallet.dat into the form a bludgeoning device, and just go to town on JJG. Holy crap, and I thought I had a bad meltdown a while back over "Fight Club"...

Decisively through 61K. Where's Proudhon when you need a terrible maths and science lesson.
Crying in the closet.... Was going to post a crying man in the closet meme but it's just too sad. This long closet related gif instead, though I was waiting on the hanger with nothing on it: https://i.imgur.com/rHtsu1r.gifLet me just cut to the chase for all you closet cases out there.

Now now, gentlemen. Let's try to keep the horny levels down a bit, and maintain some small semblance of dignity.
Said the in house degenerate (temp.) Ok. Touché. I deserved that. Well played.

How many acres total now?
Getting up to near 140 acres now. Already have our eyes on the next (fourth) parcel we are looking to absorb, but want to break ground first on what we have before going even crazier. Ended up deciding we're going to continue leasing the first parcel of land to cattle ranchers, and the third parcel we are buying will continue to lease out to cotton farmers after putting in access to our property. Want to play nice with the local folk there, and not upset their balance too much.

Everyone should actively work to find some good hobby to stay sane in 2 years after that. Rick and I just bought another 68 acres of land abutting our existing acquisition. What have I done...

- Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Test — The most accurate of all, slow, detects antigens (i.e., shows if you currently have the virus).
If memory serves, there is some controversy with PCR tests. Specifically, it will also test positive if you've had C19 in the past, as the dead tissue and cells do linger around for some time - is what I'm hearing. Maybe the antibodies even trigger a positive PCR test. Fuck. I dunno. Anal swabs all the way. Most accurate. Trust me.

Next target, $75k for some profit-taking. Wake me up when... etc etc...

Ironically, I heard you are building a ranch/farm and as somebody helping out currently on a small farm because somebody being ill, I can safely say I'd really never wanted to have one.
I use the term "ranch" loosely. It's more like our own private country resort. No plans at all to have any sort of livestock, beyond bees. Will be building greenhouses for growing crops 24/7/365. Will be mostly automated / remotely operated. Keeping the pond stocked should not be an issue. In fact, we've decided to engage someone to plant a forest on the entire entry parcel of land, leading to the main parcel of land. Entry parcel is presently being used by cattle ranchers who will be moving their herd imminently. Want the front parcel to go back to nature to help with flood plain issues in that area. Decided we're going to try getting into a routine heading to the ranch Mon-Thurs, and spend the weekends back in the city. Exciting times. Meeting with the builder this week.

People always said that buying is better than mining (and they have been right almost all of the time), but where's the fun in just buying?
When you're an ex-miner, recognize how unprofitable and a pain in the balls it is to run a mining operation, end up doing the math on a miner + electricity + Time to ROI... fuck the fun. Time is money. Cheaper to buy what you would spend on a miner now, than what it would likely generate 18 months from now, IMO. Unless you have cheap or free electricity, I don't see the benefit of mining right now vs just buying corn outright.

We think a lot about those black lines, forgetting that it’s all still in our hands.
Meta: Sometimes, forcibly closing or avoiding many of those black lines in the past can be a good thing. Can only really appreciate or regret it in retrospect.

Candidate for a poll:
What's your average Bitcoin buy price?
< $1 $1 - $10 $11 - $100 $101 - $1,000 $1,001 - $2,000 <--- I am here. $2,001 - $5,000 $5,001 - $10,000 $10,001 - $20,000 $20,001 - $50,000 > $50,000 I don't own any. I mined it all. I mindrusted it all!
I don't want to sound like an asshole or anything, but Rick was catching up with good long-time friend of ours I haven't seen since before COVID19 fucked everything up (the wife is ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NUTS ON THE PARANOIA FACTOR HOLY FUCKING SHIT SHE IS INSANE) Anyway, they made an off-handed joke to Rick about "You know, I guess with how much Bitcoin you and Bob have, you're technically angel investor category right now." So, uhh, I guess... Angel Investor <--- I am here.
