161  Economy / Speculation / Re: Won't people sell it ? on: June 07, 2018, 05:18:16 AM
As we know, Bitcoin had reached at it's peak of $19k during the end of the year and after that it went to a deep decline.
People are hoping that the same momentum will take place this year too. So if this happens, won't people be ready for buying at this price.
Or lets say if the price really goes high and when the year end comes, won't the people sell it before the decline arrives ?
If people start selling, don't you guys think that the decline will arrive much faster than the last year ?

P.S : My point is, we can't expect the price to rise and fall the same way as the last year.

Your analogy is fine but the market is too complex to fit into that singular explanation. The only thing that would make it fall faster than last year is if there is no enough demand for bitcoin but if a major market player decides to buy irrespective of price, the glut would have been mopped up to nullify the theory of price crashing really fast. There is also no certainty that price would reach the all time high that was witnessed last year. Its best to approach every angle with caution.
162  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Mining pool fees an expense? on: June 06, 2018, 08:01:34 PM
Should I treat mining pool fees as a separate business expense?

Thanks,

Jeff
If this is related to filing of returns to the tax authority, by all mean its going to be an allowable expense becusee the expense is related directly related to the income being generated which means that without the fees paid or deducted at source, you might not have generated such revenue. If you can get a tax consultant for you, this will go a long way in I proving your case as to why such expense should be a separate business expense.
163  Economy / Speculation / Re: Maximum price that BTC can reach realistically on: June 06, 2018, 07:23:01 PM
Hi all, this is something that I have had numerous conversations about and one that not many can agree on. I am fascinated to hear your opinions on...

  • How high can the value of BTC reach at its peak? (and maybe a quick summary why)
  • When is that likely to happen in your honest opinion?

I respect everyone's opinion as i am sure it will differ drastically.

The best is for anyone not to say this is exactly the maximum price bitcoin will reach but if its under compulsion that one must, then there is need for a disclaimer to show the time frame such assumption will be valid just like I would do. For the next 2 months, the price of bitcoin won't still go beyond $15,000 and I might be wrong, I could be right but still does not change whatever that will happen in the coming weeks.
164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today (June 2nd) is the crucial day for end of downtrend on: June 06, 2018, 05:44:50 PM
Down to 7530 USD

And it has gone back up to above $7600+ as at the time I checked which means the market volatility is not something anyone can just look at and determine this is the next line of action or this is the pattern price will go. What Op did was to just predict based on the current situation or the amount of information he had access to at the time and holding him to be accountable by check prices to prove him wrong is being willingly ignorant of the dynamics of the market.
165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Strategy on: June 06, 2018, 04:45:36 PM
Hello friends,
I am going to participate in bounty signature campaign. Can you guys suggest me some strategy. Like which bounty should I choose, how can I speculate what bounty is good for earnings etc.
thank you.

Aside from campaigns that pay in btc, you just don't jump into it without doing some diligence because anything can happen along the way and even when you aee paid, you might have to wait till forever to convert in the case of ICO that didn't meet the expectation of the promoters and they decide to discontinue its development. But the basic fundamental work around is to look out for one managed by reputable managers that haven't failed yet and you would have increase your chances to a high extent.
166  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: R.I.P. Poloniex (new face-image requirements) on: June 05, 2018, 08:34:11 PM
This is the height of it all that Poloniex is implementing but nothing can be done because as we are here complaining of this amount of absurdity, other are already scanning their faces, fingers for them having covered by the veil of profit making and deceive to believe that since I have nothing to hide, there is nothing to be secretive about. Poloniex knows this and that is why they will.continue pushing and claim they are doing it for the security of users. The best way is just to avoid such sites and focus on other who can accommodate the amount of information I'm willing to share.
167  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Selling items online for Bitcoin or crypto on: June 05, 2018, 05:23:49 PM
Hey dudes hope you are well. I sell a lot of things on Craigslist. I am now planning on putting a couple things up and saying I accept btc or eth along with the greenback. Wondering if you guys have tried this. I

I want to believe you went ahead with this your proposal because when the news broke about Criaglist accepting bitcoin, the reception was massive and it would be great if you are one of the early sellers that have started this mode of selling to the general public. To have a dream is not enough sometimes but been ready to push for it ensure that the dream.became a reality. Will be monitoring the activities on the platform to see the reaction of people towards paying for goods using crypto currency.
168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recent most sucessful ico’s on: June 05, 2018, 03:34:46 PM
The list you put up there is based on what you feel is right and the ones that caught your attention. It would even be surprising that I have not read about any of those ICOs at all. For the upcoming one, the best way to go about it is to focus on working projects, solid team and workable model which is what M8coin is all about.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you believe John McAfee is right about Bitcoin hitting $500,000 in 3 years? on: June 05, 2018, 01:23:42 PM
I cant see any more joke than this. I am even surprised we are talking about him maybe because he is in the news again after announcing his intention to run for United States President in 2020 which is good because every one without criminal conviction has the right to vote and be voted for as well as the freedom of expression expressly guaranteed by the constitution. The 3 years he proposed is gradually closing in and would want to see his reaction on the 3rd anniversary of the comments he made and bitcoin has not touched $100,000 talk less of $500,000.
170  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Craigslist now supports cryptocurrency sales on: June 05, 2018, 12:42:46 PM
I was looking on Craigslist over the weekend when I noticed something new. There was a box to select “cryptocurrency ok”. Awesome! Try your home city and see for yourself. Below is a link to New York’s Craiglist.

https://newyork.craigslist.org/search/sss?crypto_currency_ok=1

This is great for those looking to spend their coins and those looking to obtain coins. Now you can sell something for bitcoin or host a bitcoin garage sale.  Yay!

This is really a good one to come from Craiglist being one major market place where virtually every thing can be sold and its going to go a long way in increasing the level of penetration of bitcoin in the face of all of the difficulty being faced at this time coupled with the price of bitcoin taken some constant level without any improvement in sight. This will also come as a base to support bitcoin by the time price picks up against those who will argue that the increase is not backed by usage by the people or adoption by company.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins be gone someday! on: June 05, 2018, 12:40:43 PM
Yes I'm convinced that many altcoins will die osomeday. You might ask why and my answer is simple, because many projects have basically no use case at all while some are not even brought forward anymore due to a lack of developers or other reasons....
It's honestly just crazy to see that some of those projects are valued in the millions without even having delivered a single thing on their roadmap. It's nothing else than pure speculation by some people that keeps those tokens alive.
That being said I sometimes question the investment skills of some people within the cryptosphere. I mean why the hack would you put any money into thin air? Into something that doesn't even exist neither show any progress on github after all?
I personally am therefore only investing into products that show some progress and are actively engaging with the community about it. What's your approach on selecting the tokens you put your money on?

I cant say this is unique way to investing in ICOs. Only a newbie in this world would still be wondering how to go about it. If a project is going to break barriers, it would be obvious from the start. These are basic knowledge everyone should have by default and if you don't, the market forces would be there to teach you so you learn the hard way and amateurs developer without any iota of praticability of their ideas are happy to collect your money without thinking twice at all.
172  Economy / Services / Re: Chinese and Japonese community managers wanted on: June 04, 2018, 04:50:55 PM
Hello . OrbisSolutions is looking for chinese and japonese native speakers to manage Orbis Money Transfer & Investment project . Pm

Since you are restricting your search to people of certain nationalities, its better you move the thread to the local boards of these countries because its there you can have the number of people required and from there you will be able to select from the pool of qualified applicants that are scanty on the English section of the forum. Although, you would see here too but might not reach the number of the audience to select from. My opinion.
173  Economy / Gambling / Re: How To Invest In Somewhere And Then Play With Daily Earnings on: June 04, 2018, 04:44:23 AM
If you wanna play smart, you can invest somewhere and then play with your daily profit, so if you loose, next day you can tray to win. For example, you can play Dice, and if you do not win today, you can win tomorrow. Or even better, you can play on weekends, so your balance can be even larger. And when you win, just withdraw your profitGrin

This is a good plan though but of the bank rolling options that I have seen, they either pay the earnings (if any) at the end of the week, monthly or quarterly depending on the plan that one is going for. Also, the consideration for negative retruns which is possible for a site that implements the provable fair system. But I feel its better to avoid doing both on the same site though becacise of conflict of interest when you win, you are reducing your return which could eat into your capital and vice versa when you lose.
174  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No fees crypto exchange platforms? on: May 31, 2018, 04:50:34 PM
We are making research about free crypto trading platforms.

Can anyone suggest some good exchanges without trading and withdrawal fees?

BTW if there are free crypto exchanges why they are not very popular?

You don't expect to see free ones. The only situation where this might be possible is going to be for promotional purposes and most times its always for selected few who registered early on the site as a way of compensating for their loyalty and trust of a new site coming to the market and for a definite period of time. If its free, how would the security of the site be maintained, or how would they pay their staff, ensure liquidity and other cost of running an effective exchange platform.
175  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: KYC is bullshit on: May 31, 2018, 04:43:51 PM
There is really nothing that can be done about it and I see it taking more aggressive approach in years to come and the earlier we start adjusting for it, the better when it gets to the point where it cannot be avoided. Government will continue to have legitimacy because they would claim they are protecting us from fraudulent activities that have pervaded the entire industry courtesy participants in the market too.
176  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Which country to Immigrate for making fortune in crypto currency on: May 31, 2018, 02:38:39 PM
At the rate at which regulation is going, in the next five years any country that seems palatable to run to would become un-habitable if its going to be full reliance on wealth from crypto and for those that would still be behind in the next 5 years, then as at today, basic amenities of life including civilisation and internet is yet to get to them. Rather than living to a country to be chased out in the next five years, the best is to find a way to live within the confines of the law in any country one is resident at this time as that would surely be the end game. Why not start now?
177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cartel, Price Suppression on: May 31, 2018, 05:12:52 AM
No one really knows the truth if there is a group manipulating the price but with it's unusual movements in market lately it's pretty much suspicious why did the price suddenly fall then goes up. Let's look at the facts according to crypto news there is an 120 billion btc and altcoins that got stolen, google & facebook banning ICO ads, countries regulating crypto currencies. I guess this could be a more viable reason.

Connecting the dots to arrive at a theory on how the market has been reacting to certain scenario is a lot of serious work which I doubt someone would.want to invest his time to bring out information that could be disregarded as conspiracy theory so when reading articles like this, which tends to want to provide answers, it should be done with an open mind to want to identify some of the salient things and pick only the relevant ones.
178  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SECRET OF TRADING on: May 30, 2018, 08:34:35 PM
IMPORTANT INFO FOR NEW TRADERS
All the traders who want to learn and earn from crypto trading i think they should follow some trading methods to make it true. All the beginners please try to learn first . without having enough knowledge about crypto trade you cannot make profits easily. As a trader i suggest to start your trading with reliable coins which already make a reputation on market and has a great value worldwide. Don't jump for new coins before getting enough knowledge about that.

And you call this secret of trading? Pardon me but it seems secret means different thing in several climes because what you posted here is not anything or anywhere near secret its basically what every threads that ask about that talks about what is the basic knowledge anyone should have about crypto trading is all.about. I was expecting to see some top notch advise or tip that would blow my mind away but not any thing close to this at all.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no built-in consumer protection? on: May 30, 2018, 06:43:36 PM
Bitcoin offers no such protections? And the Transactions are Irreversible as well.

These includes the following like:
Protection from counterfeit bank notes BTC
Protection from financial surveillance BTC
Protection from identity theft BTC

What are you opinions?

Looking it from another point of view, it can also be that there is consider protection but instead of consirmer protection, as could say end user protection because there is no greater protection that the one you provide for yourself and that is what bitcoin offers but because we are used to a body providing such protection and major players in the indiutry too believes that because of the absence of central body to ensure that, they are free to do anything they want but we they can just do what is right, control in your hands is the best prorection.
180  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why does Bitpay suck so much? on: May 30, 2018, 05:33:13 PM
I went to buy some items at a company using bitpay (over 1k usd) which I had bought items from in the past, and NO BTC address popped up, instead I get this BIP70 bullshit that doesn't work with my wallet..  Great...

I am still deciding if I want to bother to load a wallet that bitpay's new protocol works with..

I am on the fence as to if I want to buy these items at all, so much hassle.  Why can't bitpay just put up a real BTC or BCH address for us to pay with, instead of some proprietary bullshit that only works with a handful of wallets.  This isn't what bitcoin is about.  Its about creating a simple method to pay, not the cluster fuck that bitpay is creating...

FUCK YOU BITPAY..

Since others have given you suggestions on what to do, I hope you are able to do it seamlessly and even for people facing same would have to learn from it. For me, I would rather just covert to fiat and buy directly instead of the hassles being faced on my own fund that I wish to part away which would bring an income to them no matter how small. Me I am just hearing this method the first time and what is wrong in putting those who technological understanding of crypto is zero in mind?
