1601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Prices will go up this week ? on: February 17, 2018, 04:51:54 PM
There is also the Litecoin fork tomorrow. But looking at the charts, this is really not only Litecoin, but a general trend of prices going up on "the big" coins as well as on altcoins.
1602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple to the moon? on: February 17, 2018, 04:46:38 PM
It was at 18 cents not so long ago, so honestly, I have no idea where this one is going. But I think it will find stable support around the current price.
1603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: People paying $1200 for 1 Ethereum are crazy... You only get rich buying CHEAP on: February 17, 2018, 04:36:34 PM
Well, it's a trusted coin. Won't give you x100 profit, won't give you x100 loss.

The choice is yours. Just don't call people crazy for thinking a bit about their investments.
1604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hidden Gems on: February 17, 2018, 04:22:22 PM
CAG is still ridiculously low, I've been telling this over and over... So is eBTC, which is constantly in development and has huge support.

JavaScript Token if you're not afraid to gamble. Low supply, but at this moment also low volume, so who knows where that one will go.
1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will alts crash again ? on: February 17, 2018, 03:32:43 PM
Exactly, first take a look at BTC which is still very often the mother coin to buy alts. BTC has to find a stable support level before investors will be willing to invest their BTC in other coins.

Yes It Is

Thank you for confirming the reason of existence of the Merit system.
1607  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merit System Upgrade on: February 14, 2018, 07:17:06 PM
In the last weeks and months the number of Newbies and Juniors who have come here only for airdrops and bounties has become huge. These appalling "You project look nice I support sir" spamming posts for just another fake shitcoin airdrop are chasing away people who actually might have something interesting to share. A lot of referral link posting too...  Roll Eyes

So it's great to have some extra "barriers" before you can get an upgrade. Not really sure why they've implemented this Merit system also for the "higher" ranks, tho...

I think they implemented it for all ranks so people can’t just behave for a year or two then stop and pollute the forum. It’s also more fair. You're articulate and debate but only in the altcoin session and it’s mostly about that next great coin that can generate a little profit. I couldn’t find a single post (other than your post here) outside the altcoin section.

You don’t qualify for merit according to the rules of this thread but I would like to ask you a question. You must realize that altcoins only climb in value when bitcoin climbs in value. That’s true 100% of the time. Altcoins will have no value if bitcoin dies. It’s difficult enough to get people IRL to buy and use bitcoin but bombardment of the cryptocurrency ecosphere by a continuous flood of altcoins is making it impossible for average people to trust and support bitcoin. Surly you must realize by now that holding bitcoin long term will make you money and be magnitudes safer than holding any altcoin. Why not exclusively support bitcoin?

Hi QA, I found your topic simply by following the link to the most supportive Merit forum member. And that's you. This respects the original spirit of supporting and donating to other members. Who am I to judge, but I think that does you great credit Smiley

I know I do not qualify for your merit. However I wasn't fishing for merit, but merely trying to hear your opinion on this "Merit" topic, as well as hearing the opinion of other members in this thread. I was expecting more people to come to this thread for begging purposes... Cool

Since you are asking anyway, allow me to give an answer to your question. I have been doing quite some translation work for projects I liked. Not the crappy ones (well... maybe back when I was new to this myself...), where you will probably have read mostly sarcastic remarks from my side. I don't need airdrops, I like to work and I like being paid for work.

To confirm your vision and point of view: uptil now, I have not cashed one single altcoin in dollars. They have all been converted to BTC (and some LTC, I admit  Cool). I have been hodling since and this is how it will remain in the future. Even without any input on the BTC forum, BTC has to me already become what dollar still is to a majority of the population.

It's true there is a lot of newbie and dumbie crap in the altcoin discussions - which I hope will be more limited thanks to this Merit system. The reason why you don't see me in the Bitcoin forum is that my knowledge is limited to my personal political and economic points of view. I am a libertarian and I have a strong believe in free markets and personal responsibility. The way how many on this forum support dollar/euro/fiat and corporations (crying about Senate decisions and how credit card companies don't want to support their precious altcoin) is appalling. They all love the word "decentralization", but not its meaning. It's a sickness from all times. However, I do not feel the need to constantly express my opinion everywhere around on the forum, cause that would be annoying.

On the other hand, my technical knowledge (and that's where "THE BLOCKCHAIN" as a concept comes in) is so limited that there is no way I could add anything interesting to any discussion on that subject. So I listen, read and learn.

Well, geez, this became a longer post than planned! Smiley

Keep up the good work QA.

Thank you for the support. There have been some really nice altcoin people that have found their way to this thread. You definitely have the right viewpoint. I think you’ll do just fine ranking up. You said you don’t participate in the bitcoin sections of the forum. I think you’ll find that you participate more than you think you do if you look at your own merit stats.  Wink

Much obliged and you shouldn't have. I will keep my sMerits aside for now. If you feel someone really deserves support, feel free to let me know and I will help you/him out, too.

Kudos to you.

Count me in! Good luck on the project. It's about time we get some more real-life projects with real-face teams. It's a jungle of scams and useless ICOs out there...
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Change Coin the future with CAG on: February 10, 2018, 10:42:47 AM
Hello Change (CAG) Greated with Estonian founders former workers from transferwise and from skype which are both founded in Estonia like Change and their team just information if somebody didn´t knew that.

I´m absolutely not worried about future of Change! Buy as much you can when price is low like it is at the moment and enjoy the ride  Smiley

I completely agree, CAG is still very cheap in spite of huge potential.

What I also think, is that opening a new thread for this, is an act of spamming.
1612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: CoinExchange top coins on: February 10, 2018, 09:42:31 AM
I found a funny tutorial for Coinexchange from one of those CE users in the trollbox recently. Can't seem to find it back immediately but I'll post a link if I find it later.

Sadly, there's a lot of shitcoins on CoinExchange... If you want to put a bet on some shitcoin, just search for low walls and check out if it has not been pumped already. However there's often 2nd and 3rd pumps too. There really is very few logic into pumping and don't get yourself involved in those self-declared whale groups in the trollbox because they are fake.

There's also quite some "real" projects which are interesting. I have been holding KMD for ages. I was expecting a lot, but it's stable for ages too... Which is not necessarily a bad thing  Smiley made some really nice money on VOISE, which is at an interesting price again. I also have a lot of eBTC and FLIK, which are or are not quite controversial, depending on which source you trust, but I hold them anyway.

And there's a lot more of course. I really like to trade on CE. A lot of spam in its trollbox lately, but from time to time, those trolls can be hilarious.  Roll Eyes

As said before, there's FLIK, VOISE, KMD, EBTC or DOGE of course. DCN is also there, but with huge supply, I think price is too high, too early. Any other suggestions?

Really strange, then why did zombies just open a new thread to tell us to buy Elixir?

1614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 5 coins under 10$ that can reach 300$ in future on: February 09, 2018, 07:09:28 PM
Coins under $10 reaching $300 in the short to medium term probably involves looking for coins with good overall metrics so that it will survive the market and increase in value, and for coins with low supply so that the increase in value will be reflected in a significant price increase. Five good possibilities are:

1. Aeon (AEON) - current circulating supply 15,461,957 coins, current price $2.99

2. Neblio (NEBL) - 12,799,216 coins, $10.42

3. Pivx (PIVX) - 55,527,294 coins, $5.36

4. SpectreCoin (XSPECT) - 9,751,497 coins, $1.79

5. DeepOnion (ONION) - 20,785,264 coins, $1.79

Well, if you talk about supply, don't forget to add:

Change (CAG) - 37.109.887 coins, $0.34 !!

eBitcoin (EBTC) - 18.897.126 coins, $0.97

1616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are you buying now? on: February 09, 2018, 06:30:08 PM
I have the classics in my wallet, but here's my two (crypto)cents for some more exotic propositions, which I hold.

I've been holding on to SYScoin for a very long time and will continue to do so. SYS is probably my favorite one. I think Change (CAG) is also still VERY low. I sold and recently re-bought eBTC, which I believe has a lot of potential but at this point, I am rather disappointed in its community. Just take a look at recent (very low) transaction volumes, despite being launched on CoinExchange and voted on KuCoin. eBTC community makes a lot of noise, but no impressive results in terms of selling (yet). A bit disappointed for the moment, but I hold.

And since I like to gamble a little bit from time to time, I have put a little money on the infamous JAVASCRIPT TOKEN (JS). Probably a shitcoin, but it's one of those coins which has relatively limited supply and still a ridiculous price, so you never know! It would only need some news or a small development evolution to boom, I guess.

Trading volume on CoinExchange: bottom.
Trading volume on KuCoin: bottom.

I think some people are sighing at KuCoin HQ.
