1621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: The dream of Cypherpunks, libertarians and crypto-anarchists on: October 22, 2020, 08:31:06 AM
By the way, in case you find useful, you can add also to the translated topic this post of mine, where I tried to make a comparison between Bitcoin and its ancestors features. JayJuanGee asked me if I can make such comparison and, as far as I know, it's one of its kind. I could never find anywhere on the Internet such comparison and I did it manually Smiley

Of course, I'm interested in this theme. I'll do it soon.

And about freedom, yes, governments clearly do not like this idea of decentralization, what they are not subject to, they are trying to ban. I am convinced that all these bans on cryptocurrencies with the explanation that cryptocurrencies contribute to terrorism and the sale of drugs are just an excuse, the real reason is that governments are losing control and banks too, and it is not beneficial for them. After all, it is clear that terrorism, financial fraud and the sale of drugs interact much more with traditional finance, then let's ban fiat. I support the idea of decentralizing and storing my funds with me with my keys, and not with some third-party who can take my money at any time.

Seriously i think the days of banning crypto are behind us, with this new development of PayPal providing crypto service to it's customers starting with USA customers, i want to believe the negative perception about crpto in general is reducing otherwise while will a company like PayPal decide to support crypto, now they have realize that the use of digital currency is inevitable, the more government device a means to eradicate crypto the more the awareness grow,
it really doesn't matter what the government do or say, the fact remains crypto is here and not going anywhere, it is time they start to have a re-think, make plans towards crypto acceptance, it is said "if you cant beat the you join them"  government are losing control.
1622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal is doing it on: October 22, 2020, 07:07:09 AM
Well talking about cryptocurrency going mainstream Wink  if this isn't then i wonder what is, this is definitely a plus in the part of crypto, the adoption keep spreading and touching those places you would think it will never get attention,
i read about the news on cnbc today and i was actually pleased, according to the article, the PayPal crypto services will first launch in the united state, the U.S citizens will be the first to text and enjoy the service,

This is definitely a game changer, i guess this news is some how related to the sudden pump of btc touching $13k and back down, i know this will strengthen the trust on crypto and especially btc, imagine the number of new people who will be willing to come in because of PayPal involvement! the road to adoption is very clear now imo, smart move by PayPal for taking this bold step, lets see if other giant players in the economy will want to miss out Grin, the game is on i can feel it.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bahamas becomes the next nation to launch National Digital Currency on: October 21, 2020, 06:27:27 AM
Having its own digital currency is good, Bahamas is a very expensive country and an attraction for tourist, according to what I read, things are generally expensive in that country,  maybe this initiative will strengthen the status of the economy even further, i think this will Foster the process of crypto adoption much more faster,  i didn't know the Government of this country is crypto loving,  hopefully many more countries will emulate this idea.
1624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I feel sorry for the EMIREX bounty hunters $20 for 9 months of waiting on: October 21, 2020, 06:07:37 AM
The bounty campaign ended just over 9 months ago the token was credited on the bounty hunters account dashboard on Emirex the value then was $ 0.47 cents the token on the bounty hunter's dashboard is locked and  will be released this October 28 after 9 months
https://bit.emirex.com/ieo-announcement-3

Now the price is now trading at $0.18 I have a friend here who had 130 Emirex tokens valued now at $24 down from $49 it was such a long wait for $24, imagine waiting 9 months only to receive $24, this is how disgusting Emirex is, they should have released it much earlier.

That project has all the qualities of a scam written all over it,  they hard an unending ieo as far as i can remember, they practically tricked their participants to this ridiculous lock procedure, because it seems this part of token being locked for close to a year was not part of the initial rules of the campaign,  they cleverly introduce this nonsense when it was time for them to honour their promises,

Some of the very many ordeals of being a bounty hunter especially  for some useless alts project, they lack the ability to be trustworthy, always looking for a way to cheat hunters, feel sorry for the participants of this campaign, they can only accept what they receive and hope the price will appreciate in near future.
1625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "10 Reasons Bitcoin Is A Terrible Investment" - A pathetic attack against BTC? on: October 20, 2020, 10:02:25 AM
I wouldn't listen to a single word this author says about bitcoin.

Here he is in 2019 calling bitcoin "fundamentally flawed" - https://www.fool.com/investing/2019/06/25/3-reasons-bitcoin-is-fundamentally-flawed-as-an-in.aspx
Here he is in 2018 calling bitcoin "a gigantic failure" - https://www.fool.com/investing/2018/02/14/is-bitcoin-destined-to-be-a-gigantic-failure.aspx
Here he is in 2017 calling bitcoin "a fraud" - https://www.fool.com/investing/2017/09/18/bitcoin-is-a-fraud-according-to-the-ceo-of-the-lar.aspx
...
Here he is as far back as 2013 calling bitcoin a "fictitious token" - https://www.fool.com/investing/general/2013/04/13/this-is-the-real-danger-of-the-irrational-exuberan.aspx

There are 295 articles authored by him on fool.com which mention bitcoin. For someone who writes so much about it, it's incredible that he is so consistently and fundamentally wrong about it. He's been parroting off the same arguments as in this article over and over for 7 years.

I did get a chuckle out of the first two paragraphs though. Paragraph 1 - It isn't really scarce! Paragraph 2 - It's too scarce to be useful!

For someone who had spent such a long time trying to smeared the name of btc before the whole world and still end up failing woefully, i would expect him to be a btc maximalist by now Grin,   or just quit, by saying i give up Cheesy  (i mean look at the time this guy has been on the tail of btc trying to bring it down)
i consider him the btc stalker, but too bad till now he is not able to raise any dust with his continuous attempt to discredit the work of a genius,  but, 7 years is enough for him to come up with a technology to counter all his so-called btc flaws Cool i.e if he can.
1626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google news is spreading FUD on: October 20, 2020, 09:41:12 AM
Me thinks this is FUD being spread by the bankster crooks.

Of course, everything that is not praising BTC for curing cancer, eradicate poverty, and discovering life on Mars is FUD, and of course, again everything it is paid by the banksters. There is data from glassnode (which myself I find it pretty unreliable) that claim this, so rather than shouting FUD, you should try to prove this is wrong if the news is fake.

Again, things that you don't like are not FUD.

You could start by criticizing the article for not making the difference between coins moved from wallets and coins moved to exchanges but rather than that you grabbed the pitchfork and yelled FUD, bankster, and everything else, forgetting to even add a link to what caused all this.

lol, very common with some btc enthusiast to call anything and everything that is not directly speaking in-favor of btc to be FUD, i think crypto in general is like that, anyone say any slight negative thing or a critics is regarded as fud, perhaps OP should take it as a warning and understand the rationale behind the news, besides, there is nothing new even this is fud from google or other website, at the end btc will always pull through.
1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KuCoin Partnered with NewsCrypto to Launch Crypto School Program on: October 19, 2020, 08:48:59 AM
This is a very outstanding move to be honest. Many people jump into the crypto space armed with only what they heard or see their friends doing without having any knowledge whatsoever on what the crypto space entails. And also, most times, it is still this same category of people that complains a lot, run after hyped projects and so on. On one hand, you can hardly blame them because they weren't exposed to the right knowledge and experience. Therefore, I believe with this partnership, people will be able to find the crypto space interesting because access to education courses is there to equip them into being good traders, holders or investors in all leading to mass adoption.
What I also find interesting is the fact it from one of the top exchanges, hence showing that seriousness will be encouraged.

Absolutely right, many crypto lovers all jumped into the crypto space with the information they can gather on their own from different source of the internet, this has aid some people to make the right decision in crypto while others where not so lucky to utilize this roadside information (my own personal description)

however, a well established crypto information educational platform will certainly go a long way in assisting newbies into this space to have a first hand knowledge about crypto which will assist them to make the right decision, i believe this is a necessary step to ensure the creation of awareness in a more established form, the idea is great.
1628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time that there will be no new altcoin projects anymore on: October 19, 2020, 08:06:46 AM
The more old projects die off the more new ones will be created to match with the growing demand of the society, and lets not forget this smart contract base projects will always remain there and so long they are still available there is opportunity for new project to be created, it is even exhausting to go through the list of projects we have in the market,
The advent of defi project makes the situation even worst, it's as if defi project are being created on a daily basis, most of them have nothing but ridiculous concept yet people troop in in millions, sad.
1629  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does having a lot of investing money make trading for a living much easier? on: October 17, 2020, 07:24:55 AM
No it doesn't make trading easier, having lots money does not equate to having the needed experience to trade, this are two separate thing, having enough money is one thing, having the trading experience is another, so if you are thinking with enough money and less experience you will make money in trading, you are mistaken,
It will even be better if you have the required knowledge together with a good sum of money to trade, if not, you will lose all your money no irrespective of the amount.
1630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Little Experience with USDT - TRC20 on: October 16, 2020, 11:18:02 AM
i was surprise to be honest and equally happy Cheesy thanks to eth high transaction fee that made me discover this,

Do share your thoughts and opinion or experience too.

I dont know why so many haters of tron blockchain but eversince Im using usdt for some icos, presale or any form of requirement that needs usdt. I preferably to use trc20 of usdt since there are no fees.

This is a long overdue process already mate. Maybe tron ceo is a shit poster on social media buy their fee is really incredible and fast too. Still love eth of course but with regards to fee, im down to tron blockchain. If you will transact from exchange to exchange this method will save you few backs actually.

i completely agree with you bro, i have started using it ever since someone paid my service through usdt trc20, at first i was wondering why use trc20 instead of using usdt erc20 but after i experiment it, i discover the fee is free or so because no charges are included in the transaction and to me that is definitely free,

i agree that Justin is not a likeable person (base on his personalities) but we have to separate the owner from the technology, what matters most is the technology and how beneficial it is, i feel when many people discover this, more will rather use trc20 than erc20, isn't this the idea of blockchain, to make transaction less costly and fast. Between @op welcome to the club  Wink
1631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Graph or Persistence on: October 15, 2020, 02:11:13 PM
First of all, you need to understand the pitfalls in Defi investment cause anyone cryptocurrency scammer can create one just to defraud crypto investors.
1) The Graph : is good but they offering the same features which was done previous crypto project and the last time i check no project have dethrone ETH in the dapps business.
2) Persistence : have a good concept but the aspect of the project owner backing it with real world asset as Stablecoin liquidity pools which I believe could fiat is what I don't like about the project.

it seem more like you are saying eth can not be dethrone so other project should not co-exist alongside, i doubt the intention of the Graph project is to dethrone any project, the ecosystem is big enough for similar project to duel,
besides, this method will eliminate the possibility of monopoly, eth is not all that and not exactly without any shortcomings either, they have not been able to solve scalability issue, see the mess most erc20 project are facing,
the crypto community is open to new ideas, the world is evolving and so are technologies, we shouldn't be limited to some particular few, between pitfalls are in every investment be it defi or none defi.
1632  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit "trading" - buying and selling Bitcointalk merit on: October 15, 2020, 01:34:24 PM
So how can I get merits for my account, in what way excuse me?
You can check topics on beginners section which was created by merited members and how they get it,  you can ask them what to do in order to get merits from other members, dont buy merits,  it is more valuable if you earned them.

i think it will really be a terrible idea for someone to think of buying merit to rank up, i know to some people it seem very difficult to get merited but i believe consistences and hardwork will eventually earn the person some merit,
there are lots of ways to contribute to the forum, members of the forum will recognize your contribution and effort by giving out merit, all it takes is some determination and focus to achieve it, buying merit is like taking the easy way out (even though not exactly easy)
between there is a possibility of getting scammed in the process.
1633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Graph or Persistence on: October 14, 2020, 10:47:47 AM

And with that labelling, what I thought of quickly is about an ICO. But if they don't want to be called like that, ok I won't say that anymore.
http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/the-graph/
AFAIK the only people who can invest in the graph was the accredit investors. The graph was also having a very strict KYC and AML as the main requirement to get the qualified investors too.
It's not all of people will be able to participated in the sale or give their contribution.

Even CMC has already listed the graph when the ico is not yet started. What a big surprise.  Cheesy
If that's the case The Graph project is much interesting, thats, why I want to learn more about it, by the way, Is there any information about the sale and how much is the price of the graph token because in CMC the information is just limited so it is not helpful at all.

If you are able to pass the kyc process then i think you can easily participate in the sale, but the way i see things from their telegram chat group, i think their are some unprocessed kyc request, some people complaining to have their kyc pending for days, this can be a challenge for many who might be interested in the GRT SALE, the demand is massive no doubt, and there will be an individual purchase cap of $1k - $5k, good thing some whale will not be able to buy up half of the sale and manipulate the market afterwards,
this is definitely going to be huge, anyone interested should make sure to get register because registration is closing by tomorrow according to the admin, price per Graph is $0.03.
1634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: █▀▄ [ANN] DIA | Data infrastructure for DeFi | Binance/Kucoin/Bitmax/Okex ▄▀█ on: October 13, 2020, 11:10:14 AM
For the airdrop, will they take snapshots every week, or they will do every it every day? And for the snapshots is there any specific time at which they will take the balance snapshot or, it random?
You can find airdrop details here https://medium.com/@diadata_org/dia-2020-airdrop-3f4753ca5cc6

There's a daily snapshots for wallets holding DIA between September 25 2020, 12PM CEST — December 10, 2020, 12PM CEST.
You will get your average holding for the airdrop duration. There's a scenarios on the article to see some examples.

Thank you bubbalex. Is there still a chance to join DIA's Interest Yield Program? If yes, would I be eligible for the drop If joining the interest yield program now because on the article it says Aug 17?
As I know you still can join this airdrop by holding any amount of DIA at any wallet during this period. You will get your average holding for the airdrop duration. There is an official DIA community, community managers will be able to help you understand it better. https://t.me/DIAdata_org

Yeah, and as i was made to understand by one of the admin on the DIA official telegram chat, anyone is qualified to this airdrop provided you hold some dia in your wallet during the stated time frame of the airdrop,
so in other words,  it doesn't matter whether your dia is from bounty reward or bought from the exchange, all wallet holding dia at the time of airdrop will get the average of what they hold, which is more of an advantage for hunters who choose to hold their dia, honestly, it is winning in both world.
1635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Atari Token on: October 13, 2020, 10:29:15 AM
It would be great to spread the word about this token on this forum. It would be especially nice to see a bounty campaign from Atari. It is always a pleasure to deal with such large and trustworthy companies.

Don't count on it, project of this magnitude and status don't usually conduct bounty, this is a world class consumer brand company with high level of investors willingly and ready to invest in their token, they already have that advantage, i doubt bounty campaign will be of any significant, from what i read in their website, it seems they are only going to conduct 'series of private sale to qualified investors', so i can only assume by now the private sale process must have been concluded since this was originally stated in march.
i would still like to know the outcome of the sale and the plan to further develop the project, any recent update will do.
1636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS: THE CARRIER OF ALL BLAMES IN NEW CRYPTO PROJECTS' PRICE DUMP on: October 13, 2020, 08:07:11 AM
This is a very nice post or review about what happens in most projects where bounty hunters are always seen as the perfect fit to channel blames to. There are different cases to this ill acts on bounty hunters and you carefully stated them out.
There are most projects out there which locked up bounty rewards for months or a year and yet the project failed and others delayed bounty rewards and yet the price dropped terribly, thus it can be seen that in both cases, bounty hunters didn't get their rewards and yet the project failed which goes to prove that, bounty rewards which is of course a very small allocation, do not have the power to cause the downfall or price drop of any project. If rewards can be delayed and locked up for a long time and yet the project fails shows the team are always to be blamed in whichever case.
Nowadays, the team have learnt a new thing which is, distribution in phases and yet the price keeps dropping, therefore it means that, the team should stop thinking of locking bounty hunters rewards and focus more on their project and how to keep it growing, because if a project is worthwhile most hunters won't sell as they know what is obtainable.

You know i think in a away this partial payment introduce by most project teams are a blessing in disguise, just like you have already pointed out, many project still suffers a huge price drop even with the partial payment to hunters,  which in this case vindicate hunters off this baseless accusation,
time and again it has been said that the percentage allocated to bounties are too insignificant to affect price, but for some selfish reasons project team want investors and supporters to still believe in that,

And which further establish the fact that the huge amount given to private investors are the major reason and probably the team secretly dumping on investors (which there are many instances) i expect by now that notion must have been corrected in the mind of the investors and project team should stop misleading people with this irrelevant accusation on bounty hunters.
1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Graph or Persistence on: October 12, 2020, 02:11:47 PM
Both does have limited information and I get it why is that because Graph still on ICO phase while Persistence, it's not listed on CMC anymore. I mean it's listed but in untracked listing.
I can't say that much with these projects and I don't know how did you find them. Are ICOs still a thing today? I don't think that they are, why invest on these projects and why it caught your attention?

I wonder what you consider as limited information, i mean a little trip to their website will tell you so much about the project already, between from what i read and my conversation with one of the admin, registration for the GRT SALE (Graph Token)  is still ongoing, sale has not begun yet, and just so you know they don't like to call it ICO because according to the admin most ico of the past where related to vaporware and Graph on the other hand already has a walking product and not comparable, so i will urge you to get some basic knowledge about the project, they seem solid and knows their worth.
Between they don't like to be address as an ico project, you should take that into note.
1638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: list of bounties good quality (new update 23_06_2020) on: October 12, 2020, 01:22:18 PM
This one looks legit. Looks like coin is already being traded (on kucoin). There are weekly rewards. Up to 200$ per week + merit bonus. 60 free spots. Dunno if payment already confirmed but manager is good
.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5278153.msg55261551#msg55261551

i was gonna suggest it and i click on your link and saw you shared it already, yeah lattice seem like a very legit bounty as far as my observation is concern, from the bm to the overall organization of the bounty down to the project team, all that is required is a little digging and you will have all the necessary information to help you decide whether to support a particular bounty or not,
i would say all the participants who are accepted in this bounty should consider themselves fortunate (myself included) since the criteria of selection of the bm is a bit high and i totally get why it is so.

another bounty that is worth mentioning is JACS.tech bounty,  we all know that Hhampuz is top rated bm in this forum and he doesn't promote any fake or scam project, so i think op should include this 2 suggestions.
1639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY HUNTERS: THE CARRIER OF ALL BLAMES IN NEW CRYPTO PROJECTS' PRICE DUMP on: October 12, 2020, 01:04:59 PM
.....
- High quantity of bonus to the investors:-
- Hasty Listing on exchange:-
- The exchange selected for listing:-
- Greed by the investors:-

i think among all the reason that was pointed out, the above are the major reasons that affect project to increase in price,
most of project team don't usually have their own personal funds to finance their project, they seek support from angel investors or private investors whom they offer very high bonus just to get them to invest, and we know what happens once that token is listed on the exchange,

the kind of exchange to be listed also plays an important role, however, most top level and middle level exchange are expensive, some project don't even have enough funds for project development let alone to list on this exchange, thus they will find themselves in the low level exchange that will only help to kill the project even further,

between investors of this days are only concern about short term gains, once a token is listed on any exchange, most investors will liquidate their holdings immediately without wasting time, so it goes hand in hand in both team, investors and hunters (because hunters will liquidate all their reward immediately it has been distributed)

so i think it is time for dev team to re-visit this point and use them as a comparison to make plans for future project launch.

And I read that Bitcoin.com is going to delist Ghost and ESH from the exchange, I actually thought maybe this time John will be a bit dedicated to Ghost project but this was another of his charade, the guy had no commitment in him, everything to him is like the cigarette he smokes, I feel sorry for investors who believe in him or who still believes in his lies,
Am not surprise he got into the nest of the law, the man must had it coming, always openly challenging the government and doing all sorts, I hope he can use this period to reflect and if possible mend his ways a little bit.
