621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador Rejects IMF Call to Abandon Bitcoin as Legal Tender on: February 04, 2022, 01:42:21 PM
El Salvador got the balls. They should be an example for the bigger countries who keep kissing IMF's butt and rely on their money while their people have a miserable life. Well done El Salvador. I'm sure more will follow this is only the beginning.

They really have some balls out rightly refusing refusing the demands of IMF, who would have thought a small country like El-salvador would have the courage to stand up against a giant organization like the IMF, the minister was right they have the right to make a sovereign decision as a sovereign country,  no need to dance to their tune, lets see what action great IMF with take against El-salvador.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: With the prosperity comes big price! NFT market faces consequences. on: February 03, 2022, 07:15:53 PM
The irony of the whole NFT world is that it is pretty much worthless.

Some collections like the Bored Ape Yacht Club have grown so valuable that they are larger than companies like Harley Davidson...  Imagine still thinking that NFTs are worthless.  I get that to some people you can't grasp the innovation and think it's about pictures.  It isn't.  If you think it is, you have a lot of learning to do and should probably focus on education rather than spitting disinformation.  NFTs are the first mainstream use case for crypto I've seen and I don't think they're going away.  I actually think that toxic maximalism is going to lead a lot of people to miss out on massive opportunities, like the Bored Ape Yacht Club, thinking they're just pictures.  They aren't.

Exactly. If the market would have been worthless then I think millions of dollars wouldn’t have been credited in the NFT just like that. I don’t expect that everyone should learn about NFT or understand the values of it but they should apply little bit logic that if it’s getting valued then there is someone who is liking it and paying for the same. We live in democratic world so i believe everyone has the right to say their thoughts but they should be logical too.
I have been following up NFT articles around the internet and it seems that NFT is flourishing in many corners of world.

I use to have the same notion too until I became following an nft channel that gives updates about everything regarding nft and I must say judging from what I read on the channel, nft space is bigger than as we view it, "In January, NFT trading volume hit an all-time high of $6.13 billion according to a statistic presented in the channel",

And according to Josh Katz, the CEO of YellowHeart
"A new form of NFTs is attempting to radically change the way we buy tickets for live events.  YellowHeart is a blockchain live event ticketing platform based in New York City"  and there are several other big news regarding nft that probably know nothing about, nft is taking the crypto space by storm and soon everyone will recognize its impact.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: OpenSea hacked for $780,000 on: February 03, 2022, 06:57:27 PM
there may be other reasons why this opensea issue was not published, you know that if the strongest bad news from one platform will definitely affect prices, user trust and many more it can have a negative effect not only on NFT but all crypto.
the hope of every user of the platform is that the funds will be returned

If the funds are not already or no promises from the opensea team to return the funds of various affected victims believe it would have been made public long before now, am almost certain the teams have addressed the issue and promised a full refund to victims which were affected.
624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I the only one who loves BTC but hates the Metaverse idea and the NFTs? on: February 02, 2022, 04:32:08 PM
Unlike before,  now there is what they called play-2-earn, gamers can now spend time playing games and earn money in return, people spend thousands to buy PlayStation to play games for nothing (all for the fun of it) they spend real cash to buy in-game items before without getting anything in return, but with metaverse introducing the p2e idea, the narrative is changing, it is possible to actually earn something, if you see it as a waste of time, know that it didn't start from metaverse, because most metaverse projects are game related and gaming has been in existence way back when I don't see what is bad in it,
But I do think nft are overhyped, I can't imagine spending so much money on digital art, I guess art lovers don't have a problem with that.
625  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN - ROAD TO 8,000$ - speculation on: February 02, 2022, 09:09:10 AM
$8000! That will be a massive opportunity for many people to become full BTC owners, an opportunity for new fresh BTC whales to be born, but then people like you would probably wait for $800 seeing it has dropped that low, eventually you will end up not utilizing the opportunity when you had one,
It is not enough to wish for a low price but the ability to actually take action when it happens, let's assume your prediction happens for a few days, I bet you still won't have the guts to buy because you don't have that mindset  Grin
"Make hay while the sun shines" because you never know what direction the market will go next.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about web 3.0 on: February 02, 2022, 07:36:33 AM
Would you rather have web 3.0 in your portfolio right now than DeFI, meme coins and NFT projects? Do you believe in the whole web 3.0 could lead the market soon?.

A combination of it won't hurt don't you think! You never know what people will be hyped about the next coming months, and lots of discussions have been flying around about web 3.0 projects being the main focus in 2022, although, it is not a fact this could be the case having a small portion of your portfolio fill with Web 3.0 project is not a bad idea.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is USDT a trustable? on: February 02, 2022, 07:31:12 AM
Still worry and confused with USDT cryptocurrency because we don't know about the owner of this coin assets, have possibility for the owner make price dump or pump although USDT as stable coin right now. I think several years ago USDT as stable coin and allowed with real price on USDT as United State domestic money and keep have the same price, but this USDT cryptocurrency maybe have unknow supply still on creator hand how ever have possibility to make price different with real USDT of United State money.

What do you mean by "pump or dump" usdt is stablecoin and has always been since the beginning, there is no possibility of price pump or dump, except there is very bad publicity about the owners that will make the stablecoin lose value, despite all controversial information out there about usdt regarding the unknown supply (unknown supply means the owner can print even more), it still remains the highest pairing stablecoin in almost..... if not all exchange, both centralized and decentralized, and a major player in liquidity provider, it is impossible to ignore it.
However, it is left for users to pick their choice since there are other alternatives to choose from.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins would you invest $ 1,000,000 in? on: February 01, 2022, 09:36:19 PM
That's a lot of money, and for that, I would want to invest wisely not to lose the investment, reason why I won't put it in high-risk alts, perhaps I will put 70% on eth, the rest of 30% will be shared among bnb, sol, dot, Matic, these may not bring huge gains but still decent enough and you won't worry so much about your investment.
629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Half Bitcoin 🤗 on: February 01, 2022, 07:51:09 PM
For you to turn that half btc to 1 btc requires taking a risk and I wonder if you are ready for that after the ups and downs you went through to achieve this 0.5 btc, remember holding won't increase the quantity only the price, if you decide to trade with it, you taking a risk,  you invest it in other alts, even a bigger risk, but since you seem determined and already aware of what is involved, then good luck to you buddy.
630  Economy / Economics / Re: Dealing with tax and crypto ban on: February 01, 2022, 05:34:27 PM
I really not seeing the negative side of bitcoin and the countries coming against it are doing that for selfish reasons. Bitcoin is talking of financial freedom for everyone both the people and the government. The government can transact fast and monitor theft through blockchain. The corruption in fiat will not be there in blockchain and this is why they don't look at using bitcoin.

Our government are too selfish and always interested in what they can have control over else that thing is automatically tagged as bad, bitcoin is not the root of the problems we have in this world, even before the advent of btc, there have always been multiple of crimes of different economic and political status, but for some selfish reasons, they want to attribute majorities of these problems as a result of btc existence,
Since crypto gives a certain level of financial freedom and can prevent users from being tied to the apron string of the government, they are not so happy with that and must do everything to prevent it.
631  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Government Really Ban Crypto? on: February 01, 2022, 04:49:02 PM
Banning crypto should be the least on each countries government list imo but unfortunately, instead of finding solutions to all the pressing issues that affect the economy they are more focused on crypto ban as if it is the solution to all political and economic issues,
I don't know if they are able to completely ban crypto, I know they can alter crypto activities to a great deal, still it won't stop crypto enthusiasts except they will follow up with physical arrest.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [IEO] ⚡AMEPAY- Crypto ⇌ Retail. IEO in BKEX + Listing in Bithumb Global 🔥 on: January 30, 2022, 11:52:44 AM

Good thing that AME is also dealing with NFT might have a good chance to ride with the hypes, so far there's no

reflections with the current market value still far from the last time high. Still need to have lots of updates and

offered services to attract more investors, I still have my coins coming from the last bounty payment, will keep it

till further development.

If you want to hold for a long time, You can stake your coin at Amepay wallet.
The reward is very high, They are offering Basic Staking APR - 50%(Locking in Period - 4 Months)
VIP Staking APR - 100% (Locking in Period - 15 Months). If you don't care about the price right now, it would be nice to do stake Ame coin. To learn more about Ame coin stake go to https://wallet.amepay.io

I want to stake some Ame coin, But waiting for a dump to fill my order. There is very little price movement. Bounty hunter already sold out their coin, now people selling stake reward, hope someone will dump at my order.

How low exactly do you expect the price to go! Because as at now 100k ame is around $700 which is reasonable and with the reward you can get for staking for 15 months is not bad,
However, I hope you know there are better projects that offer more for a shorter period, 50% Apr for 4 months is not reasonable imo, many other projects offer same or more for a month period,  well the choice is yours, and since I was a participant of their campaign and I know what it took for the reward to be fully paid, I don't think I trust them enough to stake for that long, plus the liquidity is low, just my 2 cent.
633  Economy / Economics / Re: Which business profit model do you prefer? on: January 30, 2022, 10:30:18 AM
Well, I think it depends on the business model, if your type of business only affects the high-income earners then I don't think the low or poor class (as you put it) will not be in the picture,
For me, I would prefer a business model that connects directly to the high-income earners because such business requires big capital to set up and in turn can bring in a good amount of income, even if the cash flow is not on a daily basis but comes in huge amount whenever it is due, daily earning business is good but if I want to establish myself as a successful business mogul it is important to aim high.
634  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy? on: January 30, 2022, 10:13:03 AM
If you are asking if btc already hit bottom and from here on now is uptrend, nobody can be able to tell you in other for you to make the decision to buy now or wait later, you know your target and should know whether you want to buy at this price or not,
Although I don't see what's stopping you from buying now except you have a short-term target, otherwise buying some percentage now (even if not buy all at once) is not a bad idea, the market can reverse now or still correct down, it is not that easy to tell, the decision is yours.
635  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin makes a loser a winner on: January 30, 2022, 07:11:08 AM
"A picture speaks a thousand words" indeed, how the winners of years back became the losers of today, it was laughable 10 years back but not anymore, the future is uncertain, many people never thought btc will be this popular and valuable, if not the reaction would have been totally different,
Am sure even those who came 5th- 8th won't be so happy with their price since what they got was just 25 worthless btc coins  Cheesy (if only they knew they were practically given a fortune), my take from this is, 10 years from now btc can still surprise us and everything that is happening now will be like the picture.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: it's not that I suspect friends who exist in this forum .. on: January 29, 2022, 08:40:37 AM
I believe that fraudsters are still under the same roof in forums that have given us a lot of experience or lessons about crypto..
I ask is there no follow up with punishment like real life cheats?
and is there a way to work around this so that we are not deceived and lose money, especially the loss of our crypto assets.?
Actually, there has been a follow-up on this forum, mate, you can see those who are proven to be cheating will get a minus on their trust and if that still doesn't deter them, they may be banned from this forum even though they can still create a new account to enter here again, but in terms of trust they will be difficult to find again, that's why don't immediately trust those who are newbies and have no trust at all in this forum.

The guy is not talking about just a red trust to those who are cut cheating,  he is talking about a real life punishment to those who are cut cheating in an online forum where virtually everyone is anonymous,  I don't know exactly how he expects the admins to carry out this duty of punishing every cheater real life, the highest punishment the admins can give here in the forum is permanently ban a member and that's it.

If you suspect anyone cheating in real life you can always turn to the appropriate authorities for proper investigation and justice.
637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where are all the bitcoin's Moon boys ? on: January 29, 2022, 08:15:52 AM
I personally for the current situation I don't need it because bitcoin is not easy to predict, maybe their previous content was wrong to predict which made them choose to be silent.
even if there were they would definitely suggest "HODL" so it's the same because neither I nor anyone else would choose that option and I never see or follow them because I have my own goals and predictions which I find better and more comfortable.

Predictions are just what it means........ Predictions, don't expect them to be 100% accurate, people just use the situation of the market to say what they think will happen in so and so time, it doesn't necessarily mean that's what actually going to happen,

Most predictions are made out of excitement about the market price movement, and once the market is down most of those making these predictions are probably not too motivated to give any prediction until the market has reversed, although I think it is fun to see different predictions but shouldn't be taken as financial advice, every investor should be able to have their own set goal to achieve.
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I invested $100 for 18 years for my new born nephew on: January 29, 2022, 07:48:24 AM
Good gesture, it is good to know you care so much about your nephew and his upbringing, $100 btc is not small if we can estimate in 10 to 18 years time at what price btc will be trading at,
there is a high possibility btc price is very high and your $100 investment increases a lot too, on the other hand, it can be the opposite, the more reason why you shouldn't rely only on your little investment for his studies,
Your brother needs to be more responsible now that he has a family to care for, find a way of earning more to support your nephews education when the time comes, I hope btc worth more in future so your gift can be more valuable.
639  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Changing my Thoughts And Behaviors. on: January 28, 2022, 05:42:48 PM
All I can say from your newly found behavior is that you are taking things too extreme to the point that your friends and family will find it difficult to hang with you and have a normal conversation, I think if you keep this up it will make look wired  Cheesy (especially to those people who have not knowledge of this space), which means you can't be around people who don't share or behave the same way as you,

This is your choice but imo there is no need for that, you can be a fan of btc, be supportive as much as you can and still have a life that includes all manner of people, family, friends,     isolating yourself from the rest of the world because they don't have similar views as you is unreasonable.
640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still haven't sold a bit of BTC since 2013... if I can do it you can do it too! on: January 28, 2022, 05:26:05 PM
Am not sure I can be as tough as you to hold btc through these years and through all different ath without being tempted to sell, you are one true holder bro, 2013 till date is a long period of holding and it looks like you will continue, you have made yourself a fortune, congratulations for your determination.
