Now that Roma failed and became the miserable losers hehe (ok ok I know it was just Mourinho who even went to confront the referee in parking lot but anyway) it's soon time to see if Fiorentina will be able to get Italy's name on a European Cup, before Inter gets their chance.

West Ham consider themselves favorites, but losing to a crap Leicester also doesn't really boost anyone's confidence.

See you all in 5 days Smiley
1622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I won £50 - should I use it to buy Bitcoin? on: June 01, 2023, 12:30:19 PM
Hey OP I know it's a month late to respond but I hope to give a different view of it.

Firstly, I had no idea they had bonds like that in UK but in Asia it is similar, you buy "lots" that you can redeem for your cash back but only after a certain period of years. No interest also, like you, but monthly cash prizes, cars, a grand prize is a house, etc. I never won anything except the small cash amounts but it's nothing:) The longer you don't redeem, the bigger you chance to win so I still wait.

For me this amount is always should be to be compared to the prices of things in your place. For example, for us, a nice meal can mean different things. A big meal at McDonalds for 2 is considered nice by most workers is just under $20 for local currency, and min salary in local currency is 1600. So you can see here, it is just above 1.25% of salary.

Which is about right for a nice meal.

Fancy meal at restaurant, for 2. Without drinks (fancy means wine which is 5x actual price), you will pay $100 for 2, or over 6% of salary.

So whenever I win anything, even in BTC, I use it to count against my salary. If it's only 1-2%, I treat my friends/family, always Smiley Weekend dinner. If it's more, it always goes to savings. And now you mention it, I add to the bank lots, who knows I win the house one day Smiley
1623  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun |20% RAKEBACK TO ALL|SLOTS|SPORTS BETTING|70% RAKEBACK RUSH HOUR on: June 01, 2023, 11:21:53 AM
Hey guys, how's everyone doing here?

Just wanted to say I took out a sizable withdraw yesterday in USDT, after several months of wagering, collecting all bonuses, free coins from chat rain and daily contests. Paid out easy with no issues.

The great thing is you can wager in BTC and all bonuses come in USDT, so it's very easy to separate bonus wins from actual money. BTC wise I ended up more or less same as starting, sometimes up sometimes down, you know how it goes Smiley

But USDT wise I got a nice profit, but I have to admit I got really lucky in the end on a few sessions, betting all-in on Blackjack and winning on bad hands.

Today I was unlucky, lost a few hundred dollars but that's how it goes Tongue
1624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: June 01, 2023, 10:17:14 AM
On tennis, though, I tend to take correct scores or handicaps or live, like what Trofo did (take the favourite when they're already down 1 or 2 sets). Djokovic is my intense preference for this kind of live betting.

Interesting. Live is very difficult for me to do, I mean I add a lot of them to my multibets but it's straight match line bets, the problem is most day time sports is during my work, and when I'm free, internet is bad lol

This is the one I took today, prematch, it's dumb but I never tried before, let's see what happens with just a very small bet Wink

Women's tennis tips anyone?

1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | SFs on: June 01, 2023, 08:03:50 AM
But this is Sevilla playground, so they will win, either by outright or PK.

You was correct bout the aspect of PK. ( Penalty Kick ) They're like Real Madrid whenever it comes to the Europa League Competition
It's a season for Argentines to win trophies, both Acuna co has now won the Fifa World Cup and the Europa League Competition.
Jose Mourinho threw the silver medal into the crowd as he has nothing to do with second place, I know how disappointed he'll be but at some points it's good to fail to learn.

Congratulations to Sevilla they did it once again, the Europa League is like them birth right nothing comes in between whenever they're in the competition.

I like Mourinho in general, dislike his tactics in general, but this one I think was poor show of him. I didn't watch the match, but the match reports tells a big story of what happened, however it is, both Sevilla and Roma, players and coaches, are plenty of drama people lol

Deserve to lose or not, if you cannot accept a loss, you should retire.

VAR was right, rules are rules. I know not all refs call for it but with trophy on the line, it's fair.

Good win Sevilla, see you in Champions League... again!

1628  Economy / Speculation / Re: One Bitcoin May Be Worth $1 Billion by 2038, Fidelity Says on: May 31, 2023, 12:35:49 PM
I will be lucky to still be alive and healthy at that time, so I will be happy even if 10% of it comes true, (100 million), because that means my current BTC is enough to be a millionaire already lol.

But I guess it's not wrong to "hope" he is even 1% right (10 million), but I think gold, which is ATH now, and not as big in market cap, is probably the asset to beat. I bet gold is 10x as much in 2038?

Don't talk to me about Thiem, don't want to remember that blunder. I took him to win when he was 2 sets down @7 and already thought it will be a nice boost to my betting bank Smiley

This last year I am learning that if I bet on tennis, I did well live, almost every second time I make prematch I lose. I'm switching my betting in football to try big underdog and it seems a little success there, but never try for tennis, in my mind it's much harder to comeback but yes, horrible start for me, I don't even want to talk about Medvedev.

In RG we have our first big surprise Medvedev being Medvedev and losing against a newbie player from qualy. And yesterday in NBA we have another hit, Miami defeating Boston, so they took out seed 1 and 2 being 8 seed, its the second team in history to make his way into the finals being the 8 seed.

If I remember it was 11x on that newbie player, who will be the most famous guy in his town after this, even if he loses next match (which I bet he will).

I feel like I have to start trying to bet more like buwaytress, it seems very successful but I don't know if he does it only for football.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | SFs on: May 31, 2023, 09:38:40 AM
Holy moly camoly guys the final is today! I didn't even realize it I felt like it was supposed to be in June like CL but then I saw the news headlines and it's on.

Sevilla and Roma, and the sportsbooks are all like us, can't decide who is better, however Sevilla has slightly smaller odds but very very slight.

I want Roma for a nice story who won Conference last year, if they win Europa it will be like promotion via cups.

But this is Sevilla playground, so they will win, either by outright or PK.
1631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: May 31, 2023, 07:56:58 AM
BTW, we already know promoted teams, it's Granada and Las Palmas. While Levante, Alaves, Eibar and Albacete will fight in playoffs for last spot. Would like to see comeback of Levante

Granada played quite well in the times they were up, for the games I saw in that season if I can recall properly, they were even top of La Liga for a very brief time early on (how to forget they beat us when Messi was still here).

This was seen as the start of Barca's decline, and of Spanish football in general and that was also a few years after Leicester and then Lille in France, and Atletico later, it all made so everyone was dreaming of revolucion in Europe but it's 2023 and Barca won, City, won, Bayern won, PSG won, business as usual lol

@Trofo yeah actually now you mentioned it I think I got loads of freebets in total, but I didn't count how much from yellow cap, for sure I don't think I won any, but won some of the other nonpool freebets, but all in all, I think I deposited a few times and didn't withdraw, (I checked tx history I only withdrew to pay for pool fees lol). So it's probably my worst season in many years. Which is weird because Barca did well, I think I lost mainly because of extreme bad results in World Cup (Spain, and then I remember Argentina terrible decicion to put all on their first game) and Champions League.
1632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 5000+$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: May 30, 2023, 01:50:20 PM
Freebets received already guys? Nothing yet on my side but I don't mind waiting because I don't know where to bet it yet lol
Freebets for week winners should be paid. Freebets for end of the season probably not yet. Sporstbet usually pays out free bets on Mondays and we had to give it a bit of time to double check everything and see if somebody has some complaints. Now that process is over but there is possibility you will have to wait until next Monday for the Freebet. This week is low on sports anyway, better save it for second week of RG when real matches will start to happen Smiley

The longer the better for me personally. Normally La Liga and French league are my options but final week few games left to be important even if there was many, so I can only think of cup finals to bet on.

RG bit me badly already I can't believe it, Bet prematch on Thiem, and he actually managed to get back 2-2 after losing first 2, then lost anyway.
1633  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: May 30, 2023, 12:02:07 PM
Ouf I can't believe I forgot to check this thread, is it too late to post bets on the Super Sunday games and rounds thread? I would have posted some multibet that lost (thanks to Manchester City!!). Anyway, next time for sure Wink

Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox betrayed me today. I thought I got this 130 odds bet on my entry on Steve recent event because Miami won the ECF. But my parlay got destroyed on my least-expected pick to lose. These bastards already had the chance to close the game on win yet they allowed their opponents to lose. I regret to include the picks I thought had a high probability of winning.

Phew, that is almost 10x my failed multibet. I knew they had nothing to play for but I still thought they would sign off their season with a win.

I got the freebet insurance but unfortunately I also picked a losing favorite Smiley

1634  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: May 30, 2023, 10:50:22 AM
But you send Espanyol to Segunda with this draw. Won't miss them at all. But it was strange to see Valencia players celebrating this result like they won trophy. Barca made perfect farewell to Busquets, Alba and Camp Nou stadium. End of era and I have to say that both our legends had great Last Dance today.
Real Sociedad got their spot in Champions league, despite loss to Atletico. WTF Elche is doing, they won against Athletic, who are still fighting for spot in Conference league. It's 4th game in a row for Elche without defeat, where they've been all season?

Espanyol don't deserve to go down, if we forget the points they dropped. I will kind of miss them though, Catalan derby is usually great highlights no matter what, if we ignore how bad they were hehe. But they came right back up after last relegation, so I guess expect to see them again.

Elche, I know right?

Anyway, I think 10 points between me and 5th spot is impossible to break for next and final round. Well done KTChampions Smiley

At least I got prize from 1 pool. But it was only enough to cover fees for that pol lol

Bring on next season!!

Ey man, thanks for your words, but i think im moving to first division  Wink ! I hope to see you there on next season.

And thanks to Criptofrka and Trofo (for make this possible), SB (for sponsoring) and jeremy (who plays and credit us the freebets).

Oops I made a mistake!! See you NEXT season then, but hopefully not in Division Segunda lol.

Can't wait for the announcement of Season 2 now, just kinda really "afraid" of all the non-football questions and if I'll be able to even understand but I guess most people will have the same handicap Wink

We might have a bit less football questions than you're used to - but we'll try to keep the same format. Roland Garros and Wimbledon will have some priority as well.

No problem for me, tennis is good, very international, and maybe we see a different season of different players doing well, which is a good thing. I now imagine many seasons with different themes. Could be very cool!
1636  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Staking really great way in crypto wealth on: May 30, 2023, 08:32:34 AM
7% a year means around 40% after compounding for 5 years.

You must be a really really good trader Smiley

Good luck keeping your Bitcoin on brokers and exchanges... you probably know that's the worst thing you can ever do.
First, it almost shocked me when I read your post, but on second thought, I wasn't anymore since there will always be some people like you that doubt so much. It's not because that thing is not real or impossible but simply because it's impossible to/for you. Mind you, because something is impossible for you doesn't mean it's actually IMPOSSIBLE, that might only be your own limit, so don't judge or conclude for others in that regard, this is what I do.

You even baffled me more with your analogy of finding reasons to stake, perhaps you are new to the investment world, I am not, I live there. I can only trade and hold Bitcoin, I can't stake it. How would I do that when banks and some companies are still offering me between 9-12% annually? Common!!! Think before you correct someone, better still, you just avoid correcting if you don't have important things to contribute. No one doesn't like money or goes for the best offers. What you even replied to are my conclusions about Bitcoin-related investments, I possibly don't know why you criticise them when you can just say yours.

Conclusively, there have been investment opportunities around the centralised system before Bitcoin, they will not disappear of a sudden because of Bitcoin, so don't let us loud this as if it's only the crypto-related ideology of self-custody is the only way out for investors. Maybe you tell the Movers and Shakers of the financial world not to do dealing with any centralised system anymore but only self-custody crypto and see how their portfolio ironically grows. I trade and invest before crypto existence, and those companies I mentioned are well-regulated and insured and have spent over a decade with them without swindling me of my money. I also diversify in 5 of their kind in case of issues, that's wisdom.

You can't compare me with you because it's obvious that it's only crypto you know, but I deal with Bitcoin and other investments.

You're shocked to read things on this forum? I should be the one shocked by your claims but I'm not. I've seen too much things been claimed here on this forum to be shocked anymore Wink

Man if I believe in everything people say without evidence, I would believe the earth is flat, and that people make money trading crypto all the time cause they so smart.

Also I guess you didn't really read what I'm talking about. I was talking about staking Bitcoin (duh, this is the whole topic of the conversation, if you forgot), not banks and companies offering fiat interest (20% is possible like that too).

All I'm saying in summary is you're talking bullshit and misleading people. If you really hold and trade Bitcoin and make as much as you claim, then you have proof. Nobody stays for years and continuously makes money trading Bitcoin. I criticize because people like you mislead others, thinking they can do the same.

Also misleading others into thinking they're safe keeping their funds in centralized companies. Well regulated, insured, yeah, name those companies. And show us proof of your claims.

But you can't and you don't. Don't bother replying unless it comes with names and proof Smiley Or what's the point of "contributing"?
1637  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: % idiots among investors on: May 29, 2023, 12:23:31 PM
I agree, it's impossible to see this happen. Remember all the past default scares were just easily overturned, they raise the debt ceiling. This time they just wanted something extra from the president, to give in, show some power or show him to be weak, whatever it was.

Eventually maybe a default will happen but not this term and even if so, I don't think it ends up being death spiral for US. China doesn't want it either, as long as currency is strong they benefit from strong USD.
We knew this was going to eventuality be solved as at heart this was simply about the negotiation between two different parties vying for more power.

If the US dollar is to fall, this will happen due to a black swan which destabilizes the economy to such degree there is no way to repair it, the 2008 crisis was close to do this and many economists admit as much when interviewed, so another crisis like that could be enough to bring the US dollar down, however no one knows when such a thing may happen.

Yup, just about showing off, and also probably about the big split between those in power, and those who feel they want to put something else in power.

Personally, I feel like even if the default happens, (which again I say it won't), it won't affect me. But I know my politicians will somehow make it so that we have the effects.

And then we will end up paying more for things, earning less, etc.

Funny is how no matter what state of economy is, we will always pay more Sad

So the only hope for us is that Bitcoin comes out of this strong.

Claps hands for mitchr4 who proves he knows what he's doing in English Premier League AND in Bitcoin Sports Fanatics League. That's such a huge prize to take home, I think you and Slissy are having a great season no matter who you support.

Congrats to our Latin brother darxiaomi and to our old comrade leea1334, I meet you both in Division 2!

I guess Season 2 is going to have a lot less football, a lot more tennis and F1, and cricket? Wink

Oh well, rdbase and swogerino, indeed it was Manchester City who let me down, but still, it makes me think I should add more games where I have no knowledge. I even picked Hertha Berlin and it made me almost as much as the multibet if it won!

Congratulations to all winners in this pool. I feel like I should have done better but in the end, teams like Brighton and Brentford kept defeating the chances of others, and most of us didn't agree.

According to this post, there are actually 18 prize spots, so I actually won something, my fee back!!

Could I suggest updating OP for future seasons Wink

1640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Staking really great way in crypto wealth on: May 29, 2023, 08:10:45 AM
Thankfully, I know how to trade and invest, so it has always been the two approaches instead of thinking that a less risky investment. Even holding my Bitcoin when it rises and sending it to my USD account when it falls and repeating the processes again gives me more return yearly than staking.

Not sure what you mean by sending it to your USD account, care to share your precise USD platform and wallet? Cause that sounds like a really long and complicated process, losing a lot of fees.
I will add USDT to my former post, as I guess I was the one who didn't elaborate on it or added USDT to make it clear some misunderstanding. The thing is that in my Bitcoin investments, I use FX broker (there is one I use that has a BTC wallet within the member area and already has 13 years of service), Skrill (it has Bitcoin wallets too and has lasted over 2 decades) and Exchanges, in which I use USDT.

My former post might be confusing to you because the first two use USD accounts, so I easily move my Bitcoin from the account to their internal Bitcoin wallet for investment during a bullish trend and move it back to the USD account during the bearish season of the coin. This is the same thing I do with the exchanges I use too, only that theirs is in USDT.

Ah I see, so you actually do mean that you trade, but you claim to earn more yearly income than staking. Currently BTC staking I see at centralized exchanges are around 5%. You actually make more than 5% just by trading? Considering min 1% exchange fee and I think it is more especially broker rates are not the same, you have to make more than 7% a year trading.

7% a year means around 40% after compounding for 5 years.

You must be a really really good trader Smiley

Good luck keeping your Bitcoin on brokers and exchanges... you probably know that's the worst thing you can ever do.
