There is one Russian IT rule: "seven problems - one reset". May be it's about that... p.s. but smit1237 appearantly offers an advanced version of that rule, where the reflashing is required.

Quick question. How can I split the hash power of the S5 ?? I will like to mine half somewhere and half somewhere else.
Thanks
There is one obvious way to do so. You need one S5 to mine in one "somewhere", and another S5 to mine "elsewhere".

How can it help in case of weak PSU?..

You can use new S5 Hash PCB ( 18 pin connector) with S5 Control PCB (16 pin connectors) Need only a 16 pin cable.
But what if I have S5 control PCB (18 pin connectors) and S5 hashing blades (16 pin connectors and 16 pin cables)? Can I use them together and if yes - than how?.. Bitmain was not able to give me an answer...

Warning the below is not authorized by Bitmain and may void your warranty!
Meech
What warranty do you talking about for such an old device?.. Why not to apply the thermal compound directly to the chips?.. A little drop on every chip will lead to much less consumption of the compound (we all want to use good and expencive thermal grease, right?).

I, too, am glad s2. Send to Kiev)
I was first! Wait for your turn. While my S2's are off I'm cleaning them and will post shortly a teardown of the S2 and it's components. Removal of the heatsink and reapplying thermal compound in preparation of the upgrade kits.
Every S2 owner already know how to do it.

or wait a little till the s6 miners are out in june-july.
You have no any proofs, right? They promised to release new generation of their antminers soon (about one mnonth ago!) but still nothing has been released.

Mutipool.us looks good, there are a lot of votes for it, but I want auto-exchange all mined coins to BTC, in other words, I want to use my scrypt miner to receive payouts in BTC! Why don't they do it?..

ATX PSU.

Please do not throw away your S2s. Send it to me. I'll pay for shipment.

I don't know. But if they lost their trust to BTC (or doesn't see the profit anymore), they can sell out all their HW and go out of business. Probably they also can sell the design of their chips... I don't know.

I have not seen nor heard of these rumors you speak of. How do you know the rigs received in Russia were used rigs?
First, inside many of S5 there was a lot of dust. Second, if there were more or less large batches of S5s we should get the same versions of boards at the same time. Guys from bits.media told about v1.5, v1.7, v1.9 they received several days ago. IMHO hardware revisions should be sold according to the rule "first revision produced - first sold". So since all HW versions of hashing blades being sold these days, we can conclude that they all together were laying somewhere in Bitmain's data center and hashing (collecting the dust...), and now they sell it out by a "first HW version that came to hand" scheme.

Batch 5 of the S5' is sold out now. It will be interesting to see what happens. Seems like we will see something happening soon.
There are two possible scenarios here. 1) Bitmain sells out used S5s from their own farm and makes an upgrade with some devices based on some next chip (as I mentioned before somewhere in this forum, many of Russian bitcoiners receive used S5s) and after their upgrade we will probably see S6, S7 or whatever. 2) Bitmain decided to go out of business and sells out their facilities (all that used S5 buyers receive) and we will not see any new hardware from them. They stopped even to promise that "upgrade for S2 will be available soon". They keep silence about S6 also. Any comments?..
