1661  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: 10 best recommended Bitcoin miners. on: April 01, 2023, 11:47:15 AM
I love Antminer S19 and it's my favorite Miner because it's super powerful and also it's able to mine good amount of crypto. By the way I like to make Masternode  Instead of mining. As Masternodes work on a Proof of work system.
And what coins do you mine? Masternodes work on the Proof-of-Service protocol and there is nothing similar to mining in the work of masternodes. If you are the owner of a masternode, then you are required to have the required number of coins and provide service to this node.
1662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining GPU Coins in 2023 on: April 01, 2023, 11:26:07 AM
I'm making a list of coins you can mine with GPUs in 2023. I'm talking about solid, chad and based coins, not the grifting ones.

So far on my list there is;

Conflux
Kaspa
Ironfish
Prasaga
Aleo(.)org
Minima(.)Global

Anyone have any other suggestions to add this to the list?

I’ve never heard of any of those coins. I can’t say I’d want to hold anything that I don’t need to use for something. I always say the smart thing to do is to use GPUs to mine BTC using a service like NiceHash. That removes the gambling aspect of holding a coin that’s sole purpose is to pump and hope to sell for more later.
Kaspa price +800% since the beginning of the year, it is hard not to hear about such a coin. And this is a bear market.
At such a time, it is profitable to mine such coins, because their price can go up a lot or video card manufacturers want to pump up the prices of coins for mining. I switched my graphics cards to mining Nexa.
1663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Kaspa solo mining on: April 01, 2023, 11:18:59 AM
Try an easier solution
https://miningpoolstats.stream/kaspa

https://solopool.org/  has long provided opportunities for fast solo mining, but explore this issue for yourself.

How It Works?
It' s solo mining pool.
It's a stratum over a coin node with many options.
Each miner works independently of the others.
The block reward goes to only the miner who found it.
Block search time depends on your hashrate and luck.

So far I have 4 ideas
1. Update Hive Os
2. View the consumption of the mining farm from the outlet and see the power of the power supply.
3. Set Core clock lock 1450 MHz for all GPUs
4. See how the GPU works on other coins and algorithms

You did not understand me. I am against KYC.

The problem is phone mining in general, recommending that in any way is bad advice. There is no good reason to do it even if it's real POW.
If they require KYC just to "mine" it's a guarantee the main goal is data collection from the user.
I wrote about buying several used phones for this "mining". You will not store important data on these phones. I'm not sure that the data on the user's phone is protected because many programs spy on the user.

You did not understand me. I am against KYC.
And if you find a person who agrees to undergo this procedure for money?
Does this violate our community guidelines or our laws?

this is not only about KYC, but about the fraud called Pi coin and its "mining". in a way, it seems like you are giving him advice on how to do it instead of stating the plain facts that Pi is just a waste of time.
KYC is only a consequence and in some cases a necessary evil, but a fake phone mining app should not be considered for passing KYC at all.
If you don’t like projects with KYC, then what’s the problem with buying an inexpensive used phone to earn tokens from other similar projects, if it’s profitable? The phone consumes little power. You can even sell it later. What are your risks?
1666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1inch discussion on: March 31, 2023, 12:09:28 PM
1Inch network’s new development
An upgrade to the 1inchWallet software, developed by the decentralized exchange aggregator 1inch, which adds support for the Ledger and WalletConnect v2 protocols could be the primary reason for this surge. This change should make interacting with cryptocurrency easier and safer for consumers.

1668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining in AWS with leftover credits on: March 31, 2023, 11:48:51 AM
Hello,

I've got some leftover credits in AWS (around $75k) that will expire in a few months. No one will use them so they will just be lost. I am trying to find a way spend it to make some profit.

What crypto do you recommend to mine? Is there anything where the profit/spend ratio will be reasonable (at least 50%).

Any other ideas how to spend it? Thanks

I've already seen a similar question. Will you be able to run mining on these cloud servers?
If you received a gift, then I think that such use has restrictions for mining, and you will be blocked.
Try Radiant (RXD) if you can.

Do you see differences? If not, then don't blame other forum members for no reason.
Before writing, learn to compare links.

True, but the same tactics are used by scammers to post malware. As a general rule only links posted by the OP
should be trusted.

Yeah seems like FP91G is post farming or trying to be a trusted source of update links and then surprise everyone with malware  Tongue
I urge everyone to use ready-made mining solutions. I use HiveOS and RaveOS because these systems update all miners from developer repositories.

safar1980 made a list of famous Mining OS

I don't use Windows and I don't recommend you to use Windows. I have a hardware wallet to protect against viruses.

What will the price of ethereum be at the end of this year if you know the future?

1673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Future of GPU mining, what's your plan? on: March 30, 2023, 10:36:14 AM
Golden era for GPU mining was 2015 Ethereum. You would be mining for breakeven electricity cost. In hindsight all you had to was hodl few years. You would net x1000 return on this mining investment.

Too bad. Now that is behind. ETH went from PoW to PoS.

For GPUs currently it is Conflux and that isn't too attractive.

Future of GPU mining is in shambles. I am not too optimistic about it.
NEXA (NEXA) looks more attractive and the coin has a good profit on new video cards. I would not hope for a big profit on old video cards that showed good results when mining ethereum. And 500 days payback looks very good in such a market.
See reviews on new video cards, 4070 and 4060 coming soon
1674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining GPU Coins in 2023 on: March 30, 2023, 10:19:59 AM
Just look at the convenient statistics on coins on this site
https://hashrate.no/
This is the only site that has been able to beat WhatToMine in my opinion.
But the problem now is the lack of profit for beginners, and many miners turn off the equipment due to low profit
1675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why we are not seeing a native wallet for .. on: March 30, 2023, 10:09:48 AM
I meant here why people keep supporting a centralized coin against a decentralized one as it does not make sense to be in the mercy of a bunch of "people/stake validators/keepers/deciders" that decide what will be Ethereum doing in the future rather than following a decentralized coin where not a bunch of people decide anything, that was my point.

It's like sports. People start doing it primarilly for fun and exercise. If you're good it attracts money and sport becomes business.
All the other reasons for doing it become less important, it's all about the money now.

Who cares about decentralization and blockchain validation, it's about money now. That was sarcastic.

Aha OK,my bad for not getting it,I thought how come a CPU miner developer was saying these things for real  Cheesy.

Then it shows that unfortunately the ETHW team is not that serious if they have not come up with a native wallet and all what other people are saying about them becomes true to me,they lack expertise and they even called some outside firm to launch their blockchain.I assume being a prominent miner (Chandler Guo) does not make you an experienced leader to lead a team in a good project like ETHW.
If the company was serious, they would change the algorithm so that there are no ASICs and make the coin available to every home miner.
Changing the algorithm to ProgPoW is easy. I don't care about their wallet, because the profit on video cards is very small.
1676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is P1 miner reliable ? on: March 30, 2023, 10:02:26 AM
A friend of mine is mining P1 instead of bitcoin and he was trying to convince that P1 mining is great and it has a good features, is easy to navigate and mining P1 can explore you on high demands financially.  How true is this P1 mining App?  Have you use it before? What's the basic difference from bitcoin features?

What is P1?
I hope you don't mean the well-known scam called Pi ("i" not "1") coin, where some points are collected in the application and for some unknown reason it is called mining. yes, it has no links or similarities with bitcoin, it is not even a cryptocurrency.

Yes, I'm talking about the Pi. I guess is fake the opinion I have received so far. People can just wake up to exploit people with unproductive Apps for mining bitcoin and altcoins
You can use any application to earn cryptocurrencies, even if it is not mining. There is nothing reprehensible in this. You need to find out the minimum requirements for a phone, buy a few used phones cheaply and try it if you are not afraid of KYC.
And in order to use the phone to the maximum, you need to find a few more similar projects. Maybe it will be possible to earn money to buy equipment for mining.

https://gadgettendency.com/images-of-giant-intel-lga-7529-socket-appear-it-can-fit-six-amd-ryzen-7950x/
In China, a prototype motherboard of the Intel Mountain Stream platform for future server processors Granite Rapids and Sierra Forest lit up in front of the camera lens. And the most remarkable thing about the motherboard is the LGA 7529 processor socket.
The photo clearly shows that its length practically corresponds to the length of the RDIMM slots for DDR5 RAM modules – that is, about 10 cm! In another photo, the dimensions of the socket were clearly demonstrated: it can accommodate six AMD Ryzen 7950X processors.
1678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [FUN or not FUN] Diablo IV kills graphics cards on: March 29, 2023, 10:31:56 AM
Mining on powerful video cards has one big problem, which is clear even without words in this video.
https://vk.com/video193843045_456239051?
There are a lot of miners complaining about bad connectors, and the video is not the worst power supply. Corsair works fine with weak video cards, but beginners should be aware of these problems. This will not happen in a week or a month, so I recommend that all beginners start with video cards with less power consumption.

In the middle of April we will see the new RTX 4070. But there are still issues with power connectors.

The RTX 4070 non-Ti SKU is to feature AD104-250 or 251 GPU with 5888 CUDA Cores. These cards are to operate within 200 to 225W TDP and feature the same memory confirm as the RTX 4070 Ti SKU. According to our information, the RTX 4070 officially launches on April 13th.

1680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Future of GPU mining, what's your plan? on: March 29, 2023, 10:11:19 AM
However, it's important to keep in mind that GPU mining is just one aspect of the cryptocurrency market, and its profitability is influenced by a wide range of factors. Additionally, the current trend towards specialized ASIC mining equipment has made it more difficult for GPU miners to compete, as ASIC miners are often more efficient and cost-effective.
ASIC miners are not always more efficient and cost-effective. This has been proven in practice many times. Modern asics consume a lot of electricity, they are noisy, they are very expensive. A few asics will not bring much profit, but asics also break. Even manufacturers have stopped producing low-noise asics for the home, because mining on asics has become industrial. For a home miner, the easiest option is to buy video cards.
