1663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to search wallet balance? on: December 16, 2022, 11:42:38 PM
Thank you that was helpful. Instead of going to "Receive" and copying that address, I went to a past transaction and pulled that address like you said. A balance DOES show up now but it's around half the balance in my wallet. Very confused.

Most likely, your wallet generates a new receiving address every time you want to receive some coins. At least that's how most of today's crypto wallets work. Your total balance is likely spread across multiple addresses, so to see the total amount of coins in your wallet via blockchain explorer, you'll need to check each individual address one by one. Alternatively, if you want to explore all balances and transitions at once, you can try the xPub key method, as described here: How to analyze a Bitcoin (BTC) extended public key (xPub) using a block explorer.

Rookie question... When Glassnode says there's x number of wallets with at least 1 bitcoin, is that analytic only accounting for wallets that made a whole BTC transfer into them? Or is it grouping all wallets together that are underneath one seed phrase?

I don't think anyone can know which addresses are derived from the same seed phrase except the wallet owner. However, there are various methods by which individual addresses can be linked to the same wallet. For example, if you spend coins from multiple addresses in a single transaction, it leads to the conclusion that all addresses that share input in the transaction are from the same wallet.

The casino seems to have been operating for a while, but there is not much information available about it. The casino.guru review site rates this casino with a rating of 6.1 (out of 10) and "Questionable reputation". There is also one open complaint directly about Dexterbet Casino: https://casino.guru/dexterbet-casino-player-believes-that-their-withdrawal

The best advice for any casino player is to always do your research before depositing any money. I wouldn't risk gambling at such an obscure casino when there are plenty of better options available.

France, who made it to the World Cup final for the second straight year, are waiting to face Argentina in Sunday's championship match. France is one win away from becoming the first team to win back-to-back World Cups since Brazil's 1962.
1666  Economy / Reputation / Re: Neutral tag about my post quality on: December 14, 2022, 12:31:15 AM
But this neutral tag with questioning your post quality is not something I would like to consider in the campaign participants feedback page. It's not a negative tag but it's directly questioning your post quality. The product of a signature campaigner is the posts they make and if the product itself is in question then it does not look nice especially when it's given by a DT status user and showing on trusted feedback section.

It makes no sense. As a campaign manager, you decide who to accept in the campaign and who not. Both joker_josue and NdaMk had a neutral tag on their profiles before signing up for your campaign. If you doubt the quality of their "product", then why did you accept them in the campaign in the first place?

Neutral feedback is fine.
In this case it's not fine for the campaign. There is another user in the same campaign who has same type of feedback. I am sure he is working on it too.

Are you sure this isn't just another drama involving you and JG? You don't seem to mind the neutral tags (with a negative connotation) from DireWolfM14, for example.

Is this revenge being avenged, after previously Argentina was slaughtered 3 goals by Croatia last 2018, currently scoring 3 goals for Argentina, looks like this is the previous world cup revenge match, this is really a surprise in the semifinals more than 1 goal that people predicted person

Yeah! Four years ago, Croatia stunned the world by beating Argentina 3-0 during the group stages. Looks like Argentina got their revenge tonight as they scored the largest victory of any team in a World Cup semi-final without conceding a goal. The Croatian dream is over ...

1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any Live Casino In world that Accept Cryptocurrency and pay in crypto? on: December 12, 2022, 11:26:01 PM
There are lots of cryptocurrency casinos on the internet, but not many casinos that accept cryptocurrency in the real world. There are a few exceptions, though.

The D Las Vegas Casino Hotel is one of them and I think it was also the first in Las Vegas to accept bitcoins as a payment method. It's a hotel and casino located in downtown Las Vegas.
1670  Economy / Exchanges / Re: linbtc review on: December 12, 2022, 10:51:31 PM
I've never heard of that exchange and I highly doubt it's legit. I would recommend that you do your own research and due diligence before using any online platform for trading or investing. It is also a good idea to be cautious of any offers or deals that seem too good to be true, as they may be scams designed to steal your money or personal information. Additionally, be sure to only use reputable and well-known platforms.
1671  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I right or wrong on: December 12, 2022, 10:46:57 PM
It is unlikely that governments will do this because it is also not in their interest. Why would they?
Governments will not buy an asset that can be devalued by their actions. They will always have the upper hand because they can print as much money as they want. What this means is that any "central bank digital currency" will be less of a threat to Bitcoin's dominance than most expect.
1672  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Making post for merit on: December 12, 2022, 10:34:43 PM
It's not uncommon for people to be motivated by rewards and recognition, especially on online forums where their contributions may not be immediately tangible or visible. Earning merits, or other forms of recognition such as badges or points, can give people a sense of accomplishment and make them feel like they are contributing to the community. Additionally, the bitcointalk.org forum has a merit system in place to encourage high-quality contributions and weed out low-quality posts. This can be especially important where the quality of the information being shared is important, such as in discussions about technical or specialized topics. Overall, the desire to earn merits on an online forum may simply reflect a natural human drive to achieve and be recognized for one's achievements.

Yes. I have to admit this is not the most professional way to handle such situation. What gondel did was obviously not right and I would have expected a bit more professionalism from a legendary member, but maybe this is just how he does things. Looks like a blackmail to me.
Hopefully, he'll come here and tell us what happened from his perspective.
1674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2022 Discussion Thread on: December 11, 2022, 10:17:30 PM
I really agree with you for Croatia and Argentina , I have full support on Croatia team. Croatia players are good, they will beat Argentina the way they beat Brazil. Croatia defense is strong that was why Brazil could not just penetrate to score.

Agbe bro, why don't you fix the poll in your thread then? You didn't include Croatia to play in the final. And, besides that, you put the option France vs Morocco, which is impossible because these two teams are playing each other in the semi-finals. Please fix it so we can vote properly.

Question:   Which of the teams do you think will play the Final?
Morocco vs Argentina   - 8 (42.1%)
Argentina vs France   - 7 (36.8%)
France vs Morocco   - 4 (21.1%)
Total Voters: 19

Please whoever set up the poll didn't include Croatia as one of the potential finalists. I want to believe it's a mistake, please kindly effect the correction.

Yeah, that would be @Agbe since he's the OP. I hope that the omission of Croatia from the poll is just a mistake on his part, because the poll results cannot be objective in this way. Also, France vs Morocco in the final is an invalid option in the poll because these two teams are playing each other in the semi-finals. I wonder who the members are that voted for it? Obviously not football fans.  Cheesy

There have been so much drama in FRAnca and England match
Commentator said after 40 yrs France and England shared the same truff - what does it really mean?

The last time England and France played each other at the World Cup was exactly 40 years ago, in the 1982 tournament in Spain. Both teams were placed in Group 3 and the two teams faced off in the first round of the tournament, with England ultimately winning the match 3-1.

@Agbe, what's with the poll? Where is Croatia?

The FIFA World Cup 2022 has seen many unexpected wins and losses since it began. Some highly-favored teams, such as Germany, Spain, Brazil, Belgium, Portugal and England have been unable to advance. Meanwhile, Argentina, Croatia, France, and Morocco have emerged as winners and will compete in the semifinals. The tournament continues, and anything can happen.
1679  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I be an exchanger and is it allowed? on: December 10, 2022, 08:35:55 PM
I have a little capital, but I have a desire to start a business, namely to become an exchanger. I will open a service for people who may need a small gas fee to buy it from me, such as ETH and BNB or whatever coins consumers need. The plan, I will promote my business on social media.

It's a brand new world out there. Plain and simple. And the more we all get involved, the better it will get. And the truth is, in this industry anyone can run a successful business. It just depends upon how committed you are in reaching your goals.

I want to ask, is this kind of thing allowed in this forum?

Yes, you can start your own cryptocurrency exchange business on this forum.

Also, is there any way we can make our reputation good and be trusted by consumers?
Because definitely in starting this business there needs to be consumer trust in us.

It would take a lot to build a reputation as trusted, so your best bet is to put out an excellent product that people want. Also, it is important to be transparent and responsible to your customers.

Ultimately, there is no guarantee that your exchange will be successful. There are many factors that can contribute to its success or failure, but with careful planning and research, you are more likely to succeed. The key to success is to focus on marketing and finding new customers but also make sure that you offer something that no one else is offering in the same niche. Also, do some research into all of the regulations that you will have to follow when dealing with cryptocurrencies because some countries have strict laws regarding this, and you can find yourself in a lot of trouble if you don't follow them. You may have to register as a money transmitter or even fall under KYC and AML regulations.
1680  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency or start my business? on: December 10, 2022, 08:20:59 PM
Since the price of bitcoin has significantly dropped from where it was last year, I will seriously consider investing in it rather than taking a chance on a new business venture that requires more time and work to run. If you decided to invest long-term in cryptocurrency, you still have more free time to unwind and enjoy life. Additionally, you have some free time to explore and pick up new skills in a different interest.

Well, what works for someone else might not be a good choice for you, so I don't think there is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the decision to invest in cryptocurrency or start a business depends on a number of factors. Investing in crypto is risky, and you could lose your entire investment. If the value of a cryptocurrency rises significantly then you stand to make a profit. Starting a business on the other hand takes time, effort and money. There's also the possibility of losing money if sales don't meet expectations or if competitors arise. Starting a business takes work on your part, but it also puts you in control of your success. Is it possible to achieve financial freedom from an investment in cryptocurrency? Yes, theoretically it's possible. But the world of cryptocurrencies and businesses are changing fast, and it's difficult to predict the future of one or the other. It's hard to say which will be more profitable in the long run. There are pros and cons to each route and your choice will probably be shaped by your subjective decision.
