I highly doubt that France would have hard time against Morocco to be fair. I understand that they shocked the world by beating Spain and Portugal, arguably much better teams than they were. But also we should realize the difference between France and Spain and Portugal as well. Those three teams are not in the same category at all. France has been seen the favorites of this world cup even before the world cup started, now they are at the semi finals facing Morocco and then whoever wins Argentina-Croatia game, if that doesn't make them even bigger title favorite then I do not know what would.

Very bad to see Portugal eliminated at the quart finals of the world cup. With 1 nil defeats against Morocco which happens to be the only african country remaining in the tournament. All the african countries have been eliminated in the early group and knockout stages. So frustrating to see the look on Cristiano Ronaldo face when the final whistle was blown and Morocco players chanting and jubilating while the Portuguese were crying with sad faces on the pitch. It is difficult to predict this, but with the current semi-final conditions with the two teams in both pots (Croatia and Morocco) it is clear that there is even more hope because now they are something that is indeed very unexpected.
We will still see the 2018 world cup finalists because there are Croatia and France still in this event, but will this really be the same as before or maybe in this case there will be another surprise later when Morocco and France meet?
On the other hand, Croatia and Morocco clearly still have to fight harder because they still have 2 great opponents to go through.

I think it will be very difficult to believe if there are still people who underestimate Morocco now, especially with the current conditions, it can be said that they really deserve to be here.

Well i would say that the match today was completely open and very close. A draw and extra time or a win of England after 90 minutes would have just been as possible and fair as the victory of france. After England scored the equalizer in the second half they definitely were the better team and way closer to scoring their second goal then France, but somehow the french team managed to score again after a corner kick. Also i have to say i am a little bit surprised about how little Mbappe is doing in the defense. I mean i did not expect much from him, but he really does absolutely nothing to help his team defend. Even Messi is doing more here. I think Mbappe should change his way of playing and do a little more for his team. To be so arrogant already at his young age is not a good sign.

Thats' nothing new in the world cup. France has been performing so well but i think that morocco has a chance to win against france in any case. Agreed and it seems like that agbe was rarely watching this thread since he has not yet updated the pool for croatia. The interesting match between france against morocco will be happening very soon. It seems like that OP didn't believe croatia to have a chance to win the champion league. I hope that croatia will be included on the list. Croatia itself has been specialized in the penalty. There will be possibility if the final will be croatia against one from three clubs remaining like morocco.

It was a really unlucky night for England. They missed a penalty which could have revived their hopes about qualifying for the semi final round. Kane was really successful with the first penalty but somehow he missed the target by far on the second one. He must have lacked concentration a little. This cost them the World Cup but I don't want to put it like Kane was bad in this game in general.

This wasn't Mbappe's night maybe but I really appreciated France's performance anyway. They didn't rely on Mbappe mainly which helped them have a good team effort. Tchouameni's goal was really amazing by the way. The top speed of the shot must be around 109 km/h.

Yeah, that would be @Agbe since he's the OP. I hope that the omission of Croatia from the poll is just a mistake on his part, because the poll results cannot be objective in this way. Also, France vs Morocco in the final is an invalid option in the poll because these two teams are playing each other in the semi-finals. I wonder who the members are that voted for it? Obviously not football fans.

Nothing is sure this world cup, so many unexpected result happened and that include the loss of Portugal to Morocco, I also lose a bet because of this.
Morocco is on the hot spot here, if they manage to sustain that momentum then I can see them going into the finals for the very first time.

Even today we had some surprises.
Nobody or almost nobody expected the defeat of Portugal against Morocco, the historic first time for an African team in the semi-finals of the World Cup.
In the other game, France won but the result was more indecisive than ever with the penalty missed in the end by Kane.

The match was certainly more complicated than Cristiano's but as of today I don't see a team clearly superior to the others.

At full strength France is probably superior but the missing players Benzema Pogba Kantè among the many are a big problem.
