1681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you interested in bitcoin? on: February 09, 2023, 09:29:40 PM
the reason is of course I expect big profits in the long run. and I like the decentralized that bitcoin has. and well bitcoin has been the answer for me. I also envision a future when more countries adopt bitcoin. or more people adopting bitcoin. because the next generation will definitely be more tied to the digital world, digital money is the best potential in the future. maybe in the future we will feel homesick with the discussions we are having right now.
Well, people are here just for investment and to multiply their money. But as the development continues and many countries had opened their door to Bitcoin, some are buying Bitcoin for other purposes like being used as currency.

 - decentralized (tax-free)
 - profitable investment ( because of its volatility)
 - easy transactions
Most of these things are the reason for being here and it is actually really satisfying that it grows interest in the community and brings people in.
1682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: February 09, 2023, 01:07:23 PM
I used USDT and BUSD for my trade but never I tried to hold them or any stablecoins. Fortunately, for the many years that I'm using them, I don't have any bad experiences which is why I still trust them. I don't think there is a problem with this USDT but I think it is the site or trading platform that we use.
I could not distrust USDT as long as I don't have any bad experiences with this coin. As I was using trusted exchanges, I have no worries at all and I believe that it won't disappoint me as well.
1683  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: February 09, 2023, 12:39:18 PM
Being a student is so hard nowadays. I've been spending a lot for school requirements and different activities related to education. I'm stuck with this saying "SAVING IS WASTING", thinking that with the little amount of money I have, should I put it on an investment or should I just save it for my future expenses or emergencies. I'm also living in a country in which there are limited side hustles I could do to earn extra for investment, so I'm troubled somehow.
I don't think that saving is wasting because you are doing this for some reason. In fact, you can't invest without money that is why you save and make use of that money to start investing or anything that will grow your money.
But if we are doing this for a long time, all just about saving like saving them in the banks - that seems another story and we need to change that attitude because instead, we use our hard earn money to earn a profit, we just let the bank do it for their own benefits while sharing a little percentage to us depositors. If you can afford to invest and already have the knowledge of what you invest, then go for it as this will give you a fortune if manage well.
1684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 09, 2023, 09:47:44 AM
<>and when Spence will gonna just finish Thurman easily, then there will be no point in him fighting anybody except Crawford.
It's not gonna happen, if Spence even struggle against Porter, I think Thurman is the better fighter than Porter, so in case Spence will win, that should not be an easy fight. In fact, I think Spence is just overrated, he just know how to choose his opponent well to maintain his clean record, but this time, he is wrong in choosing Thurman.

After his loss to Manny Pacquiao, Thurman has participated in just one fight (against Mario Barrios). That is one fight in almost three and half years. And even during the fight against Barrios he didn't looked very confident. Eventually he won by UD, but that was against someone who lost to Gervonta Davis by TKO. The match was closer than what the scores suggested (117-111 and 2x 118-110). Spence just need to stay focused. The only possibility of a Thurman win, is in case Spence makes a mistake (or gets overconfident).
Different opponents might result in a different outcome, so it's hard to conclude that Spence will just easily beat Thurman when they face. And after that fight with Barrios, I'm sure Thurman does not stop improving himself as he know he will be up against a bigger battle, and that is what's gonna happen soon.
1685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 09, 2023, 09:12:03 AM
I woke up early yesterday to watch LeBron's record live, couldn't sleep much last days anyway. It was also good for distraction. We witnessed history. I don't know when will we see a moment like that again.

Yeah, we witnessed history when Lebron James passes Kareem all time scoring record and he is still going strong. We don't know which record are going to be broken soon.
That was it, it was a history and I think it will not be broken easily as Lebron is still playing now, he will get more points which will be hard for the active players now to surpass.

Funny part is Lakers lost all games when LeBron past other topscorers. This didn't change in last game as well. I wish his team was more competitive but I guess they wouldn't even go for play-offs this season.

OKC will be in infamy with this one,  Grin they beat the Lakers when Lebron broke the record, spoilers.
They are just doing their job, they cannot just give that game to the Lakers as they are also looking for a chance to be in the playoffs. Actually, OKC are doing better, despite this team being an underrated team, but they are winning some games which we don't even think they can.
1686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Extremely Holding on: February 08, 2023, 11:24:17 PM
If this isn't some extreme form of holding, I wonder what it is then. According to the Twitter handle of Bitcoin Archive, 412Bitcoin worth $9.6m was moved from an address that was dormant for 11years. That means the owner just bought and "forgot" it there. While for some of us who have been holding for the past 3 months, it's seems like a century. This is gentle nudge that if someone has done it then you can(that is, if this is your goal).
How long do you think you can hold?

If that is true (which I don't want to believe), that person is one of those early investors who never think the future of Bitcoin to become today. And in this case, no way he was able to recover it once he lost access to the said wallet but being a responsible investor should always back up everything like passwords or keys. Not that I called it "extreme holding" but I was negligent.

It was a crazy amount and you really become disappointed if never get it but that really happens if we are too careless.
Anyways, that was in the past days when we really don't care about the value of Bitcoin but for now, everyone already has an idea of how to keep their password or keys so this won't happen unless they get hacked.
1687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in new Projects (Need Suggestion) on: February 08, 2023, 01:32:58 PM
I'd never find it wrong to invest in new project/s as long as it shows something interesting and market potential. But there is one thing that would tell you, please be careful in the project that you have mentioned, better to do deep research before making a decision.

We can only give you advice because this is what we also did but it was you who could decide. Don't be afraid to try, might you fail because of investing in a scam or project but I believe this could give you a lesson as well.
1688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can I invest my 60% savings in Bitcoin? on: February 08, 2023, 01:00:19 PM
It's a good idea if we can save about 60% of salary to invest bitcoin, I'm sure the trend of bitcoin will continue to improve so that one day it will be very valuable, the number of global users continues to increase so that the demand for bitcoin also increases, many countries have banned bitcoin but can't stop it bitcoin performance, it's time for us to dare to invest in bitcoin and 60% is an appropriate value.
I will agree if that said amount is still okay for you to lose them all. But if not, we better change that decision and give what is really the amount that we can afford to lose. I would tell you that investing in Bitcoin is not all about "the amount we purchase or capital, but it also matters if we can sell them at a good price".
Because what I did is that I only invest the extra money I have. I don't force myself to provide and risk 60% of my salary for a risky investment. We also know our limitations and priorities.
1689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 08, 2023, 08:57:03 AM
Let see for another update regarding to a vacant belt that Inoue left after deciding to move up to another division, still possible that a fight for Donaire can happen before ending his career or retiring his gloves.
Right, but I'm expecting to see a fight from him this year. He might retire soon so at least he will be able to have more fights before that will happen. It's still too early, who knows, weeks from now we will see in the news that Donaire is up for another opponent for a title fight.

For the meantime, we might here a new name that will be paired for him since the fight that supposedly
against Maloney was already been cancelled.
As long as it's not official, let us not expect too much as you know, this Donaire vs Moloney was canceled and we thought it was already official.
1690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 08, 2023, 07:56:11 AM
It was done in front of the Lakers' crowd. LeBron breaks Kareem's all-time leading scorer, nothing to say but to congratulate him and all those who support him from the beginning of his career.

Amazing standing ovation for the king, he truly deserves the praise, a good example of an athlete
who dedicate not just his skills but more on how to be a good example in maintaining your physical
health.

He was on a mission to break the record of Kareem, he even break that in the 3rd quarter, just too early as I thought he'll make it in the 4th quarter. Unfortunately, the Lakers may be too overwhelmed by the success of Lebron that they forgot how to defend, yes, they lose in this game too.

Lebron just needs the 1st 3 quarters to achieve greatness, in the 4th quarter, he only scored few points so that does not really help at all. They have to remember that they need to win more to improve their chance in the playoffs because if they will not make it to the playoffs this season, it will not help Lebron's legacy. I mean, people will be thinking that he is good on individual talent but not so good in carrying a team despite he has formed a super team.
1691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 07, 2023, 11:22:06 AM
Valid thoughts, possibly that he has really done it on purpose and the timing was perfect. He's known for that whenever there were some issues before about him.
Instead of the potential history that Lebron is about to make, he's become the talk first before that happens. Possible also that it's just mere coincidence but as we all know, everything and the timing was totally perfect.

I do know and am well aware that Kyrie Irving does really have an unusual character since then and does crazy things unexpectedly out of the blue, and even has a toxic attitude to everybody, with no expectation, but your guesses are maybe too much and really insane to think.

Asking trade just to try not to be overshadowed in the news because of Lebron James' hype in breaking a big record this week? That was funny to think. Grin

It's not even a coincidence. It's just that it happened simply. No need to overthink that.
That's just an assumption and it's timely to think of but yeah, let's just spare that moment for him and Lebron as both are having their own highlights for this season.
Anyway, I'm seeing a lot of memes about Kyrie on what he has said during his early days in the Nets that he won't leave 7. It's just a meme and we know change is constant but those were really funny ones.

Kyrie just love to move in different teams, well, he has that liberty because he is really good, and just like what happened, even the Lakers are trying to join the trade but the Nets ask too much for them so they cannot get Irving. Now that he is on his new team, even if he'll promise that he will retire being a Mavericks player, we should not expect that, and that would also help the fans so they'll not be hurt enough once Irving will leave.

If Irving will renew his contract with the Dallas Mavericks, then he might likely stay for a while.
1692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 07, 2023, 10:58:00 AM
Their new import, Wayne Selden Jr. just came in into our league and he will face the Ginebra immediately. Cheesy.

Currently no odds on Stake still but, I might bet on Converge and NLEX to win on this one. Smiley

I would not bet on NLEX at this game, they might be having some chemistry issues, and Ginebra is also a good team, so I'll just observe first, maybe I'll be taking the Ginebra in live betting if the spread is high.

By the way, here's the resume of their new import, he played in the NBA for four seasons, so this guy is surely a good competitor.

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/seldewa01.html

Actually betting odds are already up, they are +5.5 against the Ginebra San Miguel. I think the odds sounds fair because Ginebra is a good team and NLEX has a new import that has to blend well with the team yet, so I would ride the Ginebra pick, besides, they are not good in covering the spread.

I agree with that, we are talking of the Ginebra SMB here, a very consistent import and a locals that are full of superstars. Yes, that -5.5 will certainly be covered as long as Ginebra will win, they had struggle a bit against the ROS but in the 4th quarter they know have to win through their big run.

Also, the crowd will be into it, they'll be supporting the Gin Kings so they'll continue to play like a champion.

By the way, will LA return in this game? I saw he did not dress against ROS.
1693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fake paid promotions on Twitter on: February 07, 2023, 08:44:39 AM
It was sad to say but I feel that the worsening scenario in social media and even can't be trusted. Might not all but the majority we found of these social media platforms are full of lies and assumptions which only become a reason why people distrust or ruin someone's life.

We thought that social media is medium to spread the right information but now, it was a medium used to scam people.
If this is only what we got from them, I'd rather uninstall this app because it was useless if this will lead us to lose our money.
1694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: beginner in Crypto on: February 07, 2023, 08:14:32 AM
As a beginner in Crypto with a limited budget would you recommend purchasing the lower priced NFT's?
I tell you that many investors had lost their money due to the wrong choice of projects to invest in. Many people think investing in a coin without potential will make them profitable. I have that kind of mistake before, I bought some coins (shitcoins now) with low volume and cheap price but was never given the chance to sell them at least I could get my capital and I lose.

If you are aiming for a profit OP a reason why you are here - I'd tell you that better choose valuable coins than cheap NFT (or any coins) as it will give you some profit assurance. In fact, you can apply DCA strategy if your funds is small rather than spending your $100 to nothing.
1695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tip and Tricks about when to buy or when to sell? on: February 06, 2023, 09:52:24 PM
Hello,
I know that trading requires knowledge, but any tricks for newbies about when to buy or sell? For example, looking at the volume, looking at the queue for buying and selling and etc.
Sorry if my question is not a good question.

Thank you.
This is the way I applied when buying/trading coins and I hope this could help you.
 - volume trade
 - exchanges (must be trusted)
 - time of accumulation or buying (low price)

And it is very important that you know how to analyze the trend of that particular coin before buying like checking on the previous day's performance. You can't just buy a coin because it drops today but some possibilities that it was till high compared to the past days. This is also a think to consider.
1696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 06, 2023, 11:46:28 AM
Yes, there's only two options but there's still no guarantees about it even if the chances are higher that Donaire will hang his gloves if he will prevail in this fight and will be a world champion once again. Why? That would be a good exit for him rather than retiring after having a defeat and certainly, Inoue won't be a factor for that because he can still do a good job in the ring especially now that the biggest threat already climbed up.
That's the thought that most fans are having right now. With the last fight that he's got with Inoue, it's hard to extract that result for the retirement that might had planned.
But, as long as there's still some vacant title and he will no longer be fighting Inoue since it's proven that he's having a hard time against him, then he'll take chances no matter and whoever will be the next opponent he'll be required to fight.
They are lucky that Inoue decided to move up, otherwise, this division will be owned by Inoue as long as he stays active. Well, this is Donaire's chance to prove that he still has the capability of becoming a champion, I mean he is old if we based on his age, but who are we to judge him when he still think he can still go toe to toe against younger boxers.
1697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 06, 2023, 11:20:29 AM
This is a big fight for Inoue, and we can assure he will not underestimate Fulton, and he will also assure us an entertaining fight if Fulton will dance with him well in the ring.

In fairness to Naoya Inoue, no such behavior on him taking his fights lightly.

He never underestimates his opponents and in fact, his Knock Out rate is proof that he is serious in his fights regardless of the status of his opponents. Chasing more titles, Inoue is surely the most aggressive fighter here compare to Fulton that has already had several plans in line prior to Inoue moving up so he decided to change plans and choose to fight Inoue first.

Inoue also mentioned in an interview that Fulton so far is the biggest challenge in his career therefore expect the Japanese monster to go all-out on this match.

I would, Inoue will surely make sure he'll be very aggressive and win a KO, so it's very important that Fulton is prepared for that as I have a feeling that this fight will not go to distance. Inoue will have a championship fight, he is not new to this kind of situation, and he still is the better fighter compared to Fulton, so fans are cheering for him to win.
1698  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption growing stronger everyday on: February 05, 2023, 09:49:46 PM
It is just to note that digitalization is growing which brings crypto adoptions suitable for it. Bitcoins had somehow given a comfortable way of paying bills and any payments which is a reason why people are also encouraged to use them. But many establishments and merchants are not fully ready yet to accept and give this option, they still need time and of course, they need more knowledge about the process as well. But slowly it gains more interest to them and sooner they will open for such payment option.
1699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: February 03, 2023, 09:12:42 PM
Can shiba inu ever get to $1 in the next bull run or more years to come??,  though nothing is impossible, but i don't think it can get there,
And is the project still good to invest in?
Then I will go straight - it is very impossible if they keep all of their total supply but it can be changed if they cut a big chunk of it. However, it was not the only solution but also they need to encourage investors to change their views against meme coins otherwise there still nothing happens.
Shiba Inu is one of the known meme coins that draw attention during the bull season and many investors invest in this during the hype but they still leave because of the condition of this project - this will happen when investors don't consider it as for long-term investment and the price will drop.
1700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Charitable Casinos on: February 03, 2023, 02:23:48 PM
Building this idea is somewhat unusual than those charity programs that we normally hear like asking for some donations. Such a unique way but seems it looks interesting as it gives us time to gamble before giving our money to the charity. It is not a direct ask for donations but we know that is something like that but at least we enjoy it.
This is really a brilliant idea and I support this. As long as the creator of this project is true and can be trusted, I believe there are a lot of gamblers who are willing to give their extra money.
