1681  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bad advice can still be gotten from forum. on: October 14, 2022, 01:42:38 AM
Always verify the advice that has been given to you. It's good that many are telling almost or exactly the same thing because that really tells that it's what they do and what you can also replicate of what you're trying to achieve.

But, it's a case to case basis. It doesn't mean that if it works for the majority, then it could also work for you. At some circumstances, it might not work for you.

So, verify and search it yourself to see what you think is the best or going to work for you from those given advices or answers to you.

A week ago platbetr posted about LOL's Worlds tournament. Now, it's for Dota 2's grandest tournament which is the, The International 2022.

Playbetr has already listed all the games and it's about to happen within the next 2 days. I guess that you'll also make some promo image and predictions about this TI.

I wouldn't mind a cinderella story but I honestly want to see a favored team like LGD claim the aegis this time. For Team Secret there's always a chance to win but it'll mainly depend on the matchups they get during the playoffs, For now, I see them finishing around the middle at best (maybe 5th-8th) since there are too many good teams from my view that can easily take down Team Secret later on(OG, LGD, Entity, Tundra, Aster).
I also want to see Ame win that TI belt. I guess I'm now an all in fan of LGD. They've been always good at the bracket and group stages and always ends up at the upper bracket.

And at least before faith bian goes into retirement, he's got two TI championships together with 'y since Wings gaming.

But anyway, since this is TI, I'd say that let's consider that all teams are strong and can upset each other.
1684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Do you have winning limits???? on: October 13, 2022, 04:05:13 AM
My choice of gambling is Dice. Regularly I used to spend some time playing dice. It used be fun most at the beginning and ends with sadness. I used to have limits on winning, if I was able to make the win I just quit it for the day. In such a way I used to gamble and once after the previous week campaign payment I continued till today. Finally today even after achieving my limits on winning, I went for higher winning. What happened is loss of entire funds in the wallet. I've got more similar experiences. Does anyone have used similar strategy on winning limits.
It's why having limits for losing and winning is a good strategy so that you know that you're still in control regardless of what the outcome will be. If you've hit already your winning limits, it's the wise choice to just stop or set aside what your capital is for that day and continue with the winnings.

So whether you win or lose, you've already taken back your capital and you can walkaway only regretting that you've lost your winnings but your entire fund.

I have limits for both and if luck is with me, I secure some profits and my capital.
1685  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you visit the casino while travelling? on: October 12, 2022, 11:45:20 AM
Yes, it's still a preferred thing to do and good place to visit if you're visiting places offshore. You can just test out a few bucks and then see where it's going.

If you have time to allocate and visit those casinos in the country where you're going then it's up to your availability.

Since the pandemic, I can no longer travel freely anymore. But if given the chance, I'd like to visit them, the closest to the port or airport if I travel.
1686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Wallet for Storing Altcoins? on: October 12, 2022, 03:24:09 AM
You have been asking that with the other threads that you've made and I guess that you've made up your mind with all of the suggestions that were told to you.

Most of the wallets, centralized, desktop and hardware wallets were already suggested to you.

And by that means, you have the idea already on which is ideal to you and where you'll keep those altcoins you want to hold.
1687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Mysteries Of Bitcoin on: October 12, 2022, 12:58:47 AM
For some reason I think Satoshi is dead. Or it somehow fell into the hands of a state and is being used.
And I have already accepted the fact that whether he's alive or not, we'll never know who is the actual Satoshi or who they really are. Satoshi just really played at his best to be the best example of what anonymity is so is the creation of bitcoin.

Otherwise, it is not possible for such a rich and important person to remain hidden.
But he just did.

With all the current holdings that he's got, calculating the net of it. He's totally rich but for all over the years, no one has gone out to move those coins that have been there for so long.

And our conclusion is that he's gone forever and those bitcoins are also gone together with him.
1688  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cashback VS Bonus on: October 11, 2022, 05:45:24 PM
Hey guys. Apart from winning let's talk about loosing  Wink
We all have bad days...
So the question is...if you loose many times in a row, what would you like at most - a cashback from what you've just lost or a bonus to go on?
Well, if both are guaranteed then either of them. As long as I'll be having some recovered money from my losses then that's already good to me and I'm grateful with that.

If my current thinking at that time wants me to proceed then bonus would be the ideal choice.

But if I just want to recover some and quits within the day then the choice will be the cashback. And that's why either of them are good choices for me.
1689  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take bitcoin as the virtual currency, that perform better than physical currency on: October 11, 2022, 04:15:50 PM
It's true that bitcoin has performed well and better than the other currencies that we've got. I guess that soon we'll be done with the comparison of bitcoin and fiat because there will be the CBDCs and there's also the stable coins that serves the same thing as the native currencies that we have.

As the time passes, bitcoin has been considered to be the best asset that one can own and as a store of value.

Needless to say, when someone understands bitcoin, he's in the know about that it can be used as a currency or as a store of value / investment / asset.
We might really be that too positive or optimistic on what Bitcoin had given out or when it comes to utility but we cant really that ignore the fact that fiat does still have some upperhand when it comes to various conditions or situations which Bitcoin couldnt able to do so but at least we do really have that option in choosing between. You could really able to see its significance when you do have the experience on both
using fiat or Bitcoin. You would eventually find for yourself on hows it would be that sensible or recommended on such transactions. Some do really mind off about anonymity and decentralized aspect
but there are some who do still get convenient when it comes to fiat function. So it does matter on when you would really be making some switch up.
As they say, cash is king especially on these times where we mostly need cash as most of the assets and markets have been down together. But as a performing asset, bitcoin has proven itself and its worth.

There's no need to switch though. As soon as you understand what you need, you'll still able to freely use and own any of them anytime you want. But with fiat, we need it everyday and we have to admit that.

As for bitcoin, it's undeniable one of the best asset to own.
1690  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You only lose nothing if you hold BTC on: October 11, 2022, 01:57:22 PM
To all my fellow newbies out there, you must have come across some advice saying that you lose nothing if you hold your coins, that's not 100% true, you only lose nothing if you buy Bitcoin, some people bought BTC at 19000$ in 2017 ATH and they held, BTC later hit 60,000+ but that's because its BTC, do not try this with Altcoins, many Altcoins will die and many won't ever reach their ATH again.
And you only lose after holding bitcoin by selling at loss. That's all you need to do until you see the price goes up and then it's on the matter of how long you can achieve that time of selling at profit.

Well, bitcoin is known to be on that scene at most times every after the bear market so, you only have to hold it as you've said.

For some altcoins, the loss is greater if you're an altcoin lover and keeps on being hyped by it. Whilst for bitcoin, it's the most desired crypto to have and unlikely to end up like those altcoins you think of.
1691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bangladesh has blocked 331 online casinos on: October 10, 2022, 11:58:14 PM
Hate to see this to be honest when we have politicians who are almost openly laundering money.
That's true.

Maybe soon, they want these online casinos to operate on them locally and passed them through being licensed. But, if they're banned forever and they don't really want their citizens to gamble, there's no choice but to access through mirror websites and through VPNs.

But before accessing, make sure that the casino allows it and better ask a representative before making deposits.

1693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not all new Projects are bad, So take the Risk on: October 10, 2022, 08:33:48 PM
My experience tells me that everything involves around crypto project, Is about risk, except for the president of them all ( Bitcoin ), The vice ( Ethereum ) and the child ( Binance ). Investing in any of these 3 gives risk free system. As they say experience is the best teacher in life.
They're not risk free, although in a sense that they won't end up being a scam. The risk that I'm telling is about that a newbie could lose as much as he can with the way he's investing.

Because if he's not long term, then obviously these three are not for him or just count bitcoin because it's requiring longer patience for one to see it bloom and make profit out of it.

So i strongly disagreed with the term of " do not invest in a brand new project " to be risk free. A lot of new project has yielded x50
of my investment to me most of the time, What i usually do, Once they're up, i take off with my investment and interest. This is my experiences.
And i strongly believes by doing this, Will yield high success to everyone and also helps you to minimize the risk of lossing all your funds.
It's because most projects are riskiest. There's the common sense that new projects might not be obliged to work what they've promised and just abandon the project as soon as they suck investors money.
1694  Economy / Economics / Re: More than half of Silicon Valley residents want to leave on: October 09, 2022, 11:37:07 PM
Well, the US has big lands in other states that has some potential and cost of living from each state differs and I think in Silicon Valley. Despite those tech companies can manage to stay there, they're cutting cost and the economic situation of what they can see affects their decision of moving.

I think it's still good that they'll just relocate to the other state rather than relocating to another country that has cheaper cost of their operations.
1695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about CBDCs? on: October 09, 2022, 10:53:13 PM
CATEGORY C: these ones don't care about the "fight." They accept whichever one succeeds in the long run.

Which category do you belong in?🙃
I might say that I'm in category C but at the same time, I don't think that it will succeed in the end. And as what we're seeing the one that will succeed are not the CBDCs but still bitcoin.

Also, do you think crypto and CBDCs can co-exist without being a threat to each other?🤔
Yes.

It can co-exist while CBDCs is mainly focusing on what the use case the government will give it to them. While crypto, it has all the use that anybody wants it to be without having the approval of the government.
1696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: October 09, 2022, 06:19:18 PM
Secret is far from being eliminated on the next day because of the scores of the other teams on their bracket, Tempest and nouns.

While on the bracket B, the crowd favorite T1 is in danger of getting eliminated later on the day 2 of the LCQ and after that if they ended up being at the top 5 or 6, they're out.

No one is getting eliminated yet. The group stage is to determine if you are upper or lower bracket in the playoffs. Those who finish top 4 in the group stage will go to the upper bracket and the last two of the group will go to the lower bracket. It is better to be in the upper bracket because you have two lives to stay in the tournament. While lower bracket teams will have to play elimination game throughout the playoffs. But it is not like they cannot win it. We've seen a lot of lower bracket teams in DOTA make it to the finals. Anyway, the winner of Upper Bracket Final and Lower Bracket Final will qualify for TI.

Team Secret can still end up top of Group A. They have Polaris on their First match today, which I think they can beat. Then NAVI on the 2nd match. If they can beat NAVI, they will be top of Group A. That is a good position.
Thanks for the correction. It was a mistake on my end and I stand corrected. You're right that it's not yet the elimination but since this day has already passed for the last day of the group stages.

We're now going to see the elimination of some teams in the lower bracket by tomorrow on the playoffs. It's now going to be 4 teams for sure before the day ends by tomorrow will be eliminated.

Well, I wasn't expecting that T1 will be at the top bracket but they've earned it and congrats to them.

Secret is doing great so far with 1 draw and 1 win.

VP is doing great as well.

Na'Vi ...will trow anytime soon as that is typical for them.

ViCI gaming , always a great team that can pull magic drafts out of nowhere so eyes on their drafts.

Liquid are on a row!

1699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currencies Privacy on: October 07, 2022, 08:37:18 PM
We value our own privacy but the big businesses/exchanges, we can't do nothing against them if they're implementing such policies. Yeah, there are the other decentralized exchanges where we can trade freely.

But it is that, we have our own preferences and some may say that they don't like it and they're more comfortable using services that compromises their privacy like the usual thing we encounter, KYC.
1700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of bug bounties from gambling platforms on: October 07, 2022, 11:55:12 AM
Why aren't gambling websites using bug bounties to test-run their platform security? I haven't seen any gambling platform doing this, maybe that's why most gambling websites became prone to hacking? If I am wrong what gambling project do you think have the most secured system?, peace.
They might have their own ways of determining the bugs that could be existing in their platforms. So, if you don't see them do that, it's also likely that they're investing more into their security and their own developers are the ones that are finding if there's any fault within their system.

Anyway, as long as the casino is running smoothly and there's no problem found, they only have to maintain the current security that they have and as well as always find a way to upgrade if there's available with their security vendor or provider.
