1721  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Pizza for bitcoins? on: August 21, 2014, 08:27:36 AM
Is this whole thread a joke?

This is definitely NOT a joke.
10,000 BTC were nothing in 2010 when someone bought a pizza with them. I would be really pissed if it was me who spent that amount of BTC on pizza.

Hell, if I have access to a time machine, I would love to get those 10,000 BTC and deliver a bulk of pizzas on the buyer's doorstep myself!

If I have left anyone out that you would like to vote for being the biggest retard/idiot here then leave a comment and I will add them.

I would vote for dank but he isn't on the list Cheesy

why is there no dank?

I am saving my vote until dank is on the list Cheesy
1723  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: August 21, 2014, 08:09:39 AM
It will take a major player to enter the game, either be the greedy ass Wall Street guys not wanting to miss the boat once they realize the real potential of BTC, or something like eBay accepting payments. Check for these type of news. Right now whales are being feed cheap BTC.

Very true. We need more and more big companies to take bitcoin seriously.
We already have Newegg, Tigerdirect, Dell, Overstock, Dish, etc, but we need more like eBay, Google, FB, etc.

I'm pretty sure these companies are monitoring potential of Bitcoin very closely and they'll enter the game sooner than we think.
That will be a game changer.
1724  Other / Off-topic / Re: Places you want to travel to before you die on: August 21, 2014, 08:06:01 AM
I have added the Great Barrier Reef to my wishlist.

I really wish to travel a lot of natural wonders, but as with most of the people, money is a constraint. I hope some day I would be able to travel around the world and visit the natural wonders on my wishlist.
1725  Other / Archival / Re: Looking for someone that can buy this bitcointalk account on: August 21, 2014, 07:47:28 AM
A junior member account with just 42 activity. Not to mention -6 negative rating.

I will take that account but you need to pay me. /s
1726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help my friend take bitcoin on: August 21, 2014, 06:58:05 AM
Get him a Coinbase account so that he can access his wallet from his phone. He can then print his QR code on back of driver seat or anywhere on his cab. He can convert BTC to USD whenever needed via Coinbase.

I would advice a nice "Bitcoin Accepted Here" sticker on the outside of cab too.

It is just easier to add the altcoin subforum to the 'ignore' list by going into your profile settings.

That way altcoin users get to keep their discussions going and Bitcoin fans don't have to see it anymore.
1728  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is a signature campaign? on: August 20, 2014, 04:44:51 AM
In your profile settings, you have ability to put some text that will appear below each of your posts. This is called your signature. Some companies will 'rent' this space for their advertise and will pay you Bitcoins in return.

For example, you can see 'Cloudbet' advertisement as my signature (below my post) for which Cloudbet pays me certain amount of BTC every month.

For detailed information about the existing signature campaign, look here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0
1729  Economy / Services / Re: Cloudbet Signature Campaign – up to 0.12 BTC per month for 50 posts on: August 19, 2014, 02:43:45 PM

Just wondering, the transaction had 0 fees, still it got confirmed pretty quick. How's that?

I have seen transaction with 0 fees lingering for days without confirmation.

What faucet is faster than it? I need other faucets to earn more coin.

There are no 'fast' faucets.

There are slow faucets and then there are slower faucets.

I wish somebody would post a few of these kinds of pictures of some Asian gals who are 80 or 90 years old... without makeup (or clothes?). That way we could see that this is all in vain.

This is great to see! The BCN gets better and better everyday!
Being the first Cryptonote coin with strong dev team, I support BCN fully, the clones aren't worth it.
1739  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10,000 when? on: August 13, 2014, 08:46:38 AM
When some big company (eg. Amazon) starts accepting bitcoin.

Amazon had a revenue of $74 Billion in 2013 and Dell was $56 Billion.

Dell is NOT small. Dell already started accepting Bitcoins and it didn't make any impact on BTC price.
