Yup, nothing to see here, move along. Only reason people have GPUs now is for gaming. Yup.  I was lucky to have purchased a used HD7950 for around $300, mine X11 with it while it was much profitable for 6 months, and then sell it to someone else for around $230. I made decent profit and was lucky to have found a buyer. Probably because it was still under warranty. |

You can try a different and 'lite' wallet that syncs very fast compared to Bitcoin-QT.
Try MultiBit or Electrum.
You can export private keys from Bitcoin-QT and import it into MultiBit (or whatever other wallet you try).
