Yes i had a look , but my problem is little different
I installed the app correctly but when i use it and put the code , the site never accepts it Undecided

Happened to me once or twice.
This is related to the time correction. If your device and the site has a time lag, you would miss the correct code by few seconds.

To rectify, go to your GA app settings and you should see an option for 'time correction'. Tap it and select 'Sync now'.
Once it is synced, you should be able to use the app just fine.
842  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin address question on: March 09, 2015, 10:54:46 AM
So how can I change my address in the wallet application? What happens to my previous address if I change after receiving a transaction?

You just have to click a button to create a new address. You all previous addresses are kept intact in your wallet program, so they're not lost. Any future Bitcoins you receive to your 'old' address are received just fine.

Is it possible for a wallet application to hold several addresses?

All wallet programs can hold several hundred of addresses, or more.
843  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin transfer methods. on: March 09, 2015, 10:43:44 AM
Recently I've been trying to grow my bitcoins. What can I do with them once they're in my blockchain. Can I simply transfer on to a paypal?
Also if I kept my coins, will the value change once bitcoin overall changes? That means if bitcoin dropped, will the amount I've invested drop as well?
Thxx WinkBTC

Bitcoins don't grow themselves. Just like any other form of money, you need to take wise decisions and invest carefully to make them grow.
Many people day-trade Bitcoins to make profit from price volatility. Some people also trade Bitcoins for promising alt-coins and then sell when alt-coin price increases.

But trading is only for people who know what they're doing and are ready to lose their Bitcoins if market goes the other way.
If you're not sure what all this means, you better just hold on to your Bitcoins for a prolonged time and see if it rises in price dramatically.

Yes, Bitcoin price is volatile. So if you have 1 Bitcoin, you will always have 1 Bitcoin, but its value in USD (or any other fiat currency) can change dramatically over time, either way.
844  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: How i go online? on: March 09, 2015, 10:34:07 AM
To sgk:

Bitcoin core needs to be there for syncing. When Armory runs, Bitcoin core is opened in background and will be syncing. Alternatively, you can use the torrent option if you are using older versions.

OK, I didn't know that Armory needs QT wallet to function.

So Armory is not a 'light' wallet, then? I currently use Multibit and was thinking of trying out another 'light' wallet. What are my options? Electrum?
845  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I publish my book for Bitcoin? on: March 09, 2015, 10:25:42 AM
Hello everyone,

This is only my second post, and I am not a techie, so please forgive my ignorance if I ask the wrong question Smiley

I am an author and about to publish the first 6 (of 12) chapters of my first book to Amazon. That's all set up and seems to be fine.

However, I'd also like to establish a way that Bitcoin-buyers could read my book. I don't think this can be done directly through Amazon, so can anyone suggest a way that I can do this? I am not techically confident enough to set up a personal website with a Bitcoin pay function.

Thanks for any advice.

Ist.

846  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get the Bitcoin off my USB stick? on: March 09, 2015, 10:21:36 AM
I also have my cold wallet stored on a USB flash drive and this thread gives me shivers.

@OP, did you ever solve this problem?
If yes, what steps you took?

I would now consider putting double-encrypted copy of my cold wallet in some kind of cloud storage also.
847  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: How i go online? on: March 09, 2015, 10:05:53 AM
cant go online with armoey.
i downloaded bitcoin Core and synched it.
Armoey sais "cannot find Bitcoin Installation.
Dont know that do to. please help me.
Thanks

Not sure what you mean. You're talking about two different wallet programs here. One is Bitcoin Core-QT and the other one is Armory.

Are you saying you can get the QT wallet to sync but Armory doesn't sync?

Welcome to the Bitcoiners club!

I understand your pain and frustration. I was in the same boat once because I live outside USA and there were no exchanges in my country.

However I found Bitstamp which accepts wire transfer from international bank accounts. it takes few days to get funds in your Bitstamp account but at least it works.

Yes welcome aboard!

How much is the international wire though?

Last time i done one it cost like 30 euro :/ I will look into bitstamp because i find it hard getting coin without having to pay the premium.

Last time I checked, Bitstamp was charging $15 flat for wire transfer, regardless of the amount you send.
They have recently changes their fees structure and have lowered the trading fees. Not sure about deposit fees.

30 Euro is very high.

if you are taking enough careful steps to keep your coins secure, any OS is good. if you are not careful, no OS is good.

Learn about cold storage and offline wallets to protect your Bitcoins. Live Ubuntu CD  can help in creating a cold storage without formatting your hard drive.

@sgk: Update your signature for the bot to detect. Smiley

Marco is likely keeping an eye on this thread and can still update the bot client-side.

He is. Bitcoin_BoY$ is managing the bot not Marco.

marcotheminer is online now see the profile

You can still come online but you can't post or PM anyone.

Thank you for your help and others'.

I have updated my signature to reflect Hero status. Let's see if the bot detectes it.
852  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] [++ RATES THAN DaDice] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: March 06, 2015, 09:01:09 AM
Marco,

I re-enrolled with the bot today as Senior Member. And just after a couple hours after registering, my account became Hero Member.
I haven't made any posts yet after registration. Is it possible to upgrade my registration from Senior to Hero?

If not, then also its OK, I have been with this campaign for over 2 months and will continue.

Thanks!

So..  what happened to this service?

Just when I thought I was going to purchase a VIP account, the service went offline.
Looks like the domain expired and hasn't been renewed for a week now:

855  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost my wallet! on: March 02, 2015, 05:44:50 PM
Hello everyone,

Recently I completely formatted my HDD because I was having some software issues. I thought it would suffice to just write down my bitcoin address and password  somewhere, in order to log on to my wallet later on. However, I just installed MultiBit on my PC again, and I can't seem to find how I can access my old wallet with the bitcoin address+password. So my question is, is it even possible to re-gain access to my wallet this way, or should I have copied some other files for it? If it is not possible, is there still some way to retrieve the money from my wallet with just my address and password?

Thanks in advance!

Stijn

A bitcoin address is not enough to recover your Bitcins. What you have is your public address. You need the private keys, which you don't have.

In that case you have to get your "wallet.dat" file back.
MultiBit stores it in "C:\Users\Username\App Data\Roaming\Multibit"
Try to use a recovery software and see if you can get this file back.

But it takes 15 CONSECUTIVE successful trades in order for this to work.

And it takes ONLY one unsuccessful trade to lose everything.
858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ninja launch of Bitcoin on: February 27, 2015, 12:15:36 PM
Hehehe..

Well it became known when it went from 300$ to over 1000$ in less than 20 days.

Yup.
It was $90 to $1100 for me.

I read about Bitcoin in some article online, looked at the price and it was $90. I transferred $180 to BitStamp to buy 2 Bitcoins. The price kept increasing steadily and I waited for it to come down to $90 again so that I could buy 2 BTC. And it went all up to $1100.

"The Bitcoin Ninja" almost killed me.
859  Economy / Speculation / Re: Damn, just bought 0.25 btc and now it's tanking! on: February 27, 2015, 12:11:01 PM
It never misses... Every time I buy, btc price drops right after. Why do I even try???

I hope you're feeling good now.
860  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I was scammed by a member here? on: February 27, 2015, 11:59:59 AM
Hi,

I was scammed over Skype by a member here. I know his username, he took 2.18 BTC and never gave me the LTC.

What can I do?

First of all, understand that there is almost no chance you'll get your BTC back.

Second, post some proof and info about the scammer so that everyone else can keep away from him and give him negative trust (This isn't much helpful since 2.18 BTC is a good amoun to abandon an account completely. The scammer will usually start a new account to continue scamming others.)

Third: Use escrow next time.
