1721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Mining Will Be Banned Due to Fears of Climate Change? on: October 25, 2022, 11:09:39 PM

Maybe I am just too big of a pessimist but I don't see the EU going against Big Brother when it comes to big major decisions.
I don't disagree, but bitcoin mining is hardly on the same scale as open war with Russia. I'm sure I read in the last few months that some UK politicians were talking about making the UK attractive for cryptocurrency businesses, which is in stark contrast to the horrendous bitcoin related bills and laws currently making their way through the US government.

I also don't think the EU will follow everything Big Brother says, national interests must always come first. What you are talking about is the new prime minister of the UK, Rishi Sunak, Rishi is the one who has stated that he wants the UK to be a crypto hub during his time as finance minister.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-sets-out-plan-to-make-uk-a-global-cryptoasset-technology-hub

And in one of the latest news today, UK lawmakers are voting in favor of cryptocurrencies becoming a financial instrument. This bill will be passed if it is passed by parliament and approved by King Charles III, the Bill will go into effect soon. This is very good news for the crypto industry.

1726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin and Inflation and why bitcoin? on: October 15, 2022, 02:54:15 AM
We are in a time of crisis and I have to say that inflation is so high, it affects everything. A lot of people have been expecting bitcoin to exert its anti-inflation properties, and then things didn't go as expected, assets like bitcoin are not immune to short-term negative effects. I see that many people are starting to be negative and skeptical about bitcoin's ability to fight inflation.

But if we don't just look at the short term but look at the long term, looking to the future. We'll see what bitcoin can do.

+ In 2010: with 10,000BTC we will buy 2 pizzas.
+ In 2016: with 100BTC we can buy a car.
+ In 2022: with only 10BTC we will buy a house, maybe many countries will not need 10BTC to own a house, sometimes only 3BTC to 5BTC.

Just looking at these things, I can tell you that, if BTC is not the best anti-inflation asset, you won't find a second asset that is more inflation-resistant than BTC.

Let's feel for ourselves what is going on in our daily life, is this true? I believe you will have your own final answer.

1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 08, 2022, 08:04:25 PM
The gossip about Ronaldo are getting wild recently because he linked with so many clubs without uncertain news and the news about this appears since last month
this because Turkish media Ajansspor that they claimed Ronaldo has personal deal with Fenerbahce manager but Ronaldo has refused this rumours because he don't have any plan to playing at Turkish league moreover Fenerbahce probably cannot pay his salary which is very high so this rumour probably will not going to happend but one is certain about him that Manchester United are willing to release him and to find new clubs in January so let see which clubs will be his destination
Now all hoaxes are going to be ended about Cristiano Ronaldo because there was a chance for him to leave Manchester United and go ahead about his desire of playing into Champions League, but things not works for him, so he is currently in Manchester United which is surely on path of success even many disappointing results are also happening but most chances they could be over through them and get good position into Premier League which could be good for Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United.

Surely Fenerbahçe is small club in regard of Atlético Madrid, Roma and Napoli these all rejected this deal just because of his salary and bonuses, so there is no chance he is going to be joined Fenerbahçe because they are not capable of giving him his desired salary right now most chances he will stay here for good time and try to give his best for Manchester United.

It is really sad to see what the career of Cristiano Ronaldo has come to at this stage. While Cristiano Ronaldo had an exceptionally good season for Manchester United last season, at present, Manchester United doesn't seem to have any faith in him. They are not playing him regularly. Because of that, he is also not getting any actual chance of proving himself in the public eye.

I also cannot say that Manchester United is doing anything wrong. This is especially true when they are getting the results they want. Another factor is that Cristiano Ronaldo himself tried to move away from Manchester United at one point in time. However, that did not work out. So Manchester United also lost faith in him because of that. Currently, Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be the subject of a lot of interest from clubs that are not very good or at least not up to the standards of Cristiano Ronaldo in my opinion.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 08, 2022, 07:07:58 PM
Most of these "we didn't get the results we wanted, we should sack the manager" type of questions and actions do not really reflect on the step afterwards and that causes a little bit of a trouble. I am not saying that it should be an easy task, but it needs to be carefully planned for the future.
Like let's assume they fired him, who are they going to get at this point? Are they really sure that they would be able to get someone that would be as good as him, or even better? I am not sure that many exists, Tuchel is the only one I can think of and I really doubt that they could get tuchel, both because of price reasons and he would rather go to a bigger name club too.
High pressure for Allegri after several match failure and last two games before success made all public want to sack him quit because Juventus won last two games at domestic and Champion League. Bad started on Serie A and loss two games at Champion League made his position as Juventus manager got higher pressure actually from Juventus fans want him sacking as soon possible. But I think all expected fans want to sack him slowly gone after success give two won for Juventus from Bologna at Serie A and last won at Champion League after defeating Maccabi Haifa.

Have another higher pressure for next weeks if Juventus failed against with Milan, actually will be at the end this season pressure for Allegri, when Juventus loss all pressure want Allegri left his position, but later he win two or three match and make public voice as him sacking will be silent awhile.

I know that a lot of people are saying Juventus cannot sack Allegri because they actually cannot afford to do it. But I think they can. They are just not trying to waste any money and they are trying to make the maximum use of what they have right now. Right now the performance of Juventus does not suggest that any rapid improvement is going to happen. Juventus won the last match but it was against a very weak opponent. And now they have a match coming up against Milan who are the defending champion of the Italian League. Now I really don't think they are capable of winning this match against Milan. And that is going to put them in much more trouble and the coach under a lot of pressure as well.

I am sorry to say this, but if we just blame the coach, I don't think we will be doing justice. As it turns out, the coach did a pretty good job building a team for this season. Unfortunately, injuries took some of their most important players away from them. And for some reason, I think this is why the coach is being given a second chance.
1730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Is Borderless! on: October 08, 2022, 03:07:07 AM
Yes, bitcoin has no borders. This reminds me of march, april this year, when the war between Russia and Ukraine started, a lot of people used bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to donate to Ukraine, if there is no bitcoin in that case i think people who want to support ukraine will have no way to transfer money to donate to Ukraine. In this case, obviously fiat can't do that because if you donate via bank then things will be very complicated and there is no guarantee that the ukraines will receive the donation via fiat.

As long as we have the internet and smartphones, we can transfer money to anywhere in the world with just a few minutes of confirmation that no traditional asset can do, can only be bitcoin.
1731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is an economic recession bearish for the market? on: October 08, 2022, 02:49:34 AM
This is the right mindset, bitcoin will in the long run remain the inflation-resistant asset as it was originally designed. The current short-term decline can be understood simply because most of the investors in the market are speculators, so depending on the market situation they will invest in to make a profit. Currently, both gold and crypto are bearish and only the USD is the strongest, so other assets dumping is understandable. People are just speculating for short term profit, in the long term, I believe a lot of people choose bitcoin and gold as safe haven.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 07, 2022, 06:02:12 PM
This time Atletico Madrid seem like they have started to improve their form earlier compared to the previous season. This is a good sign for them to fight for top places easier. I don't know if they can maintain their claim for the title until the end of the season but we will see. If they are eliminated from the Champions League early then their main target would be the La Liga. Otherwise I don't know how much good they can balance both tournaments.

Their next game is against Girona home and I expect a comfortable win. They had better win that before playing a very difficult game against A. Bilbao after that.

I don't think Atletico Madrid's performance is good enough. Atlético Madrid has won 4 out of 7 matches. And they scored 12 goals in 7 matches. The performance of Athletic Club and Real Betis is still better than that of Atletico Madrid. And so it is still completely uncertain whether Atlético Madrid will qualify for the Champions League. Atlético Madrid will not fight for the title. Atletico Madrid's aim is to qualify for the Champions League. They have a strong squad. If the coach is able to implement his match strategy correctly, maybe Atletico Madrid will qualify for the Champions League.

Atletico Madrid will play against Girona in their next match, which is scheduled for this week. It seems to me that this is an opportunity for Athletico Madrid to improve their position in the table by winning this game. The fact remains that Atletico Madrid hasn't had a very fruitful season so far in terms of performance. Obviously, they are not going to be a serious contender for the La Liga title this year. In the best case scenario, they will be fighting for at least of the top four spots. I really think that they should start playing a little more aggressively.

The reason why I believe that they are so inconsistent is that they are always playing such a defensive game. My hope is that they will be able to understand that if they continue to play defensively, they are almost certain to continue to concede goals.
1733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounty programs or airdrops more profitable to participate in? on: October 07, 2022, 02:10:25 AM
There are still many good bounties running on this forum no doubt here. but you must focus on trusted managers managing campaign then it will give you more chance to get a good payment . and if you get small payment it is also profitable coz bounty task is not hard it is very simple task so you can easily done it by wasting your few minutes

even with the bounty with a trusted manager that paying using crypto is not 100% profitable.
Because i have joined a few bounties from a trusted manager here but at the end of bounties it's just worth a few cent
Right, managers can't be a guarantor in the bounty campaigns. Because i have been worked in the few campaigns in this year where bounty manager was highly reputed but i didn’t get any payment either project was SCAM or tokens was worthless in the market. If project owners have bad intension, they will go to SCAM then managers can't do nothing.

Choosing to participate in bounty campaigns as well as choosing a new project to invest in, there will always be a risk in it. Bounty managers only take on the marketing role for the project and they are not part of the project so cannot guarantee the value of the project. When you participate in reputation manager or escrow, you will definitely get rewards if you meet the requirements of the campaign but whether that token has any value or not depends on your ability to research and choose a project.
1734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crash Incoming? on: October 07, 2022, 01:54:56 AM
The current weather is not in favor of crypto that's for sure. The inflation is not stopping which means the interest rates will keep rising. The money gets more expensive to borrow which means less money will go to the risky assets like crypto. You don't have to be super smart to tell what's happening and what is likely to happen in the future. It all depends on the FED's actions and they won't be slowing down any time soon.
When interest rates rise, investment will fall. And in this situation nothing can be done. Moreover, various US organizations say that the world economy is heading towards recession. Considering this topic, it is clear that the crypto can move to a lower position. At least we'll have to wait until early next year to figure out.

The average recession duration is 10 months but I’m not sure if same will happened in the current market since inflation is much higher now compared before. There is also war happening right now that affects the price of oil and other goods that Russia supply. I thinkthis recession will gonna be the worst in the history and crypto will surely gonna experience a bloodbath too same as stocks since people will secure money for there own good and forget investment during this time.

I don't know how long the previous crises lasted but this one was caused by the covid pandemic and unfortunately, war between Russia and Ukraine broke out shortly after which made everything worse without war then I believe the crisis would not be as bad as it is now. So I think the crisis only ends when the war ends, as long as the war continues, the world supply will be short, inflation will remain. Not only financial markets but the whole economy will be hit harder.
1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: October 06, 2022, 12:30:30 PM
It is of course terrible for Barcelona to lose to Inter, did not expected that to happen, but at the same time they have achieved to rank at the top of la liga right now after madrids tie game. Which shows you that they are both good and not good at the same time, all depending on how they are playing that day. Sometimes they play like they are the best team in the league, and sometimes they play like they do not know what they are doing.

I have absolutely no idea what is causing that inconsistency, there must be something common with each of these wins and losses, like "when x happens we are worse" type of thing, but I have no idea what that is.
In this case the season is still long and at the moment they still have to face a tough match because if we look at the team they have to play against in the next 4 matches maybe only Celta is an easy opponent because the rest are Inter, Madrid and Villarreal Even though Villarreal are currently in bad shape, they will still be a hassle.

It is actually a very hard decision for Barcelona. It seems to me that they are having trouble deciding which one to give more importance to, which is why they cannot make up their minds. They will have to give equal importance to both La Liga and also the Champions League. We know that Barcelona has been giving a lot of importance to La Liga. That's why they are at the top of the table in La Liga. But the problem is that as a result, they were not able to give enough importance to the Champions League. And we all know that the Champions League actually deserves more attention and importance.

But another thing could have happened. The reason for this could be Barcelona has realized that the Champions League might actually be out of reach. That's why they are giving all their attention to La Liga and trying to win it.
1736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be used to clean environment and reduce waste?? on: October 06, 2022, 02:30:23 AM
Currently, more bitcoin miners are using renewable alternative energy so that it does not have a negative effect on the environment. many say that bitcoin is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect and makes the ozone layer thinner. despite the fact that bitcoin only uses a few percent of the world's energy and large industries still use it more and it is protected by the government. Bitcoin is always a suspect when it comes to global warming.
Cleaning the environment from waste pollution is not the task of bitcoin, it is not completely related because bitcoin only uses a few percent of energy. Especially now that some bitcoin miners use energy that is more environmentally friendly. This is the duty of the government and everyone's awareness so that the environment can be clean.

The earth will not stop warming until humanity gives up all building millions of industrial plants, mining minerals, environmental resources...That is the real cause of global warming. Bitcoin and miners are under a lot of pressure on the energy usage and waste of bitcoin, I believe we will definitely move all to clean energy in the future. What I expect is what they will say next with bitcoin when the energy issue is resolved even though it's not entirely bitcoin's fault. Will they accept bitcoin or will they find another reason to keep blaming bitcoin?
1737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin CBDC on: October 06, 2022, 02:17:45 AM
If this is how CBDC works then I don't think anyone will use CBDC, nobody will do it to exchange BTC for CBDC, which sounds ridiculous.
well CBDCs are already being used on a moderately large scale! The Chinese one for example surpassed $15 billion volume last I checked and it is accepted by millions of shops inside China.
As for buying bitcoin, there is not much difference between using a CBDC or your bank account (wire transfer, credit cards, etc.) to buy bitcoin.

I know CBDC has been launched and used in a lot of countries, not only China but in Nigeria, an African country has also used its own CBDC. But @FanEagle's mention that the government uses CBDC to collect bitcoin is incorrect because it doesn't work that way. Using a bank account or CBDC to buy bitcoins or goods doesn't make too much difference, if they want to collect bitcoins that way then they just need to print more money and buy bitcoins the way we do our daily transactions without relying on CBDC.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 05, 2022, 07:13:07 PM
-snip
I have no doubt that Juventus and Inter will return to the title race, but among the big four, someone must be a loser - it seems to me that Roma and Atalanta have a chance to get a place in the top 4 (especially Roma). As for the title, I again hope for Napoli and I hope that they distribute their forces for the whole season and do not repeat last year's disaster after a long period of great play.

The problem is no team is being able to play consistently in the Italian League this season. That's why it has become very hard to predict anything about what is going to happen at the end of the season.

I don't know why but I feel like when Paul Pogba is going to make a comeback, the performance of Juventus is going to improve quite a lot. Even though right now it feels like Napoli is going to do wonders in this season, I really don't know if that is going to be the case at the end of the season.

All I am trying to say is I cannot trust Napoli to win the league title. Right now Inter is almost out of the equation but I believe they will improve. And I am also quite sure that Milan is not going to be able to defend the Italian League title successfully.
1739  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin CBDC on: October 05, 2022, 03:19:46 AM
I wonder would this be a pathway for the governments to use it to get a lot of bitcoin as well? I mean think about it this way, if you want to get CBDC that would be a fiat pegged thing just like usdt or busd, but at the same time you are going to have to pay with something to get them, and what if they would only accept bitcoin?

In that case, governments would own so much bitcoin if we use it, look at the current stablecoin market, if we trusted companies and bought stablecoins that much, how do we know we won't spend 100+ billion dollars worth of bitcoin to get CBDC? If that happens then governments will own so much bitcoin and that's a danger to us all.

If this is how CBDC works then I don't think anyone will use CBDC, nobody will do it to exchange BTC for CBDC, which sounds ridiculous. CBDC is a digital version of fiat, it will be used like fiat today and it will be very convenient for us if CBDC is used on centralized exchanges, this will help us buy and selling BTC more convenient. But using CBDC will make our privacy more limited as all our data will be transmitted directly to the government data center.

If the government intends to hold BTC then right now they can also take fiat money to buy bitcoins at any time.
1740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mexico is the next El Salvador? on: October 05, 2022, 02:42:33 AM
So if one Mexican senator(who happens to be pro-Bitcoin) says that Bitcoin will become legal tender in Mexico this automatically means that Bitcoin will become legal tender in Mexico. It doesn't work that way. Grin
What if a US congressman or senator says that Bitcoin will become legal tender in the USA? Would you believe this news? I wouldn't.
I don't know anything about the financial situation in Mexico, but I don't believe that Mexico isn't a worst financial condition than El Salvador or Venezuela. I also don't think that the Mexicans are so desperate that they would embrace Bitcoin/altcoins right away.

You are right, this is just the opinion of a congressman who loves bitcoin so it doesn't work that way. At the beginning of January, the central bank of Mexico announced that it is working on creating a digital peso, which means it is intending to use CBDC in its country and hopes it will be rolled out in 2024. With this statement, it seems that accepting bitcoin as legal tender in Mexico is very unlikely to materialize. In the past, there were also many congressmen who proposed to make bitcoin legal tender in the country but things still did not work out.
