1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: May 12, 2020, 07:29:43 PM
Coingecko "knows" that it is a fake volume but they can't really reach to everyone at all the times and not as active as CMC because their job is harder to figure out who is right and who is fake. So, basically cmc and coingecko is used for different stuff if you ask me.

If you simply want to check the prices of the big currencies, you do not have to check coingecko because it doesn't offer anything new. Let's say you want to check bitcoin price for the past 3 months, you can do that on CMC easily, its right there, you can do that on coingecko as well, so there is really no difference when you are doing something as mainstream as that. However if you want to do something like checking a smaller coin, or checking a fake volume, that is where coingecko puts its difference.
1722  Economy / Economics / Re: Socialism vs Capitalism Meme Review on: May 12, 2020, 04:27:34 PM
North Korea is not a socialist country at all? They are a dictatorship, no dictatorship could be socialism, it could be communism if you want to call it? Communism doesn't have anything against the dictatorship and one person ruling, however socialism is literally when everyone has a say in the management and when you have one person rule over everyone that is not very equal rights is it?

If you want to show the north Korea as a socialism bad then I could basically say that Nazi Germany was capitalist as it gets and they did what they did, UK was capitalism as well and killed millions all around the world as well. So, as you can see there are big examples for everyone that could be wrong.

Socialism is not even enough, that is too much, you have to be democratic socialist to give people the right to give up that if they want to, hence everyone gives examples from Scandinavia, because you can turn that country into rightist extremist Christian nation with just one elections if you vote a party like that, it gives you that right, people prefer Democratic socialists and that is why they are like that but they are not forced to be like that, they are given the options.
1723  Economy / Economics / Re: Epidemic to Pandemic to Diaster-Cycle on: May 12, 2020, 08:53:04 AM
But, recent studies show that covid19 is no more a pandemic as the death rate is lowering every part of the world. Some countries started to treat the covid19 patients within their home as they do have only fever and and other usual symptoms which are known to be cured with home remedies. So, I guess we do not need to panic anymore on the declared pandemic. This may be due to the drastic continuous mutation of covid19 virus; after multiple hundreds of mutation, probably it has become less dangerous or human being might have developed stronger immunity.

Governments may start relaxing lockdown restrictions so that people may get back to their works for their survival.
1724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be invested in Crypto while staying away from gambling? on: May 12, 2020, 07:18:49 AM
I'm a big believer in the crypto space but it's difficult for me to hold coins without gambling. The thing is, I have no issue controlling myself when I don't hold crypto. I could go to a casino or wherever and not have any urge to bet with fiat. Idk what it is about cryptocurrency. I just get so into certain coins that I want to make more so that I can get a bigger stack to hodl...but then by trying to get more the quick way, I lose it all.
You sound like you are intensively looking for more opportunities to multiply your cryptos. The scenarios that you have mentioned happens to everyone when they are having some money and looking for some opportunities. Basically, you must need two things to focus on:
1. Gambling cannot multiply the number of cryptos that you are having.
2. If you're a true believer in to cryptocurrencies then you should focus only on highly reputed coins like bitcoin and you must love it and should not think about spending it in near future.

After coming across this topic, I just wonder why I am somehow managing NOT spending my bitcoins in gambling/trading, because I am loving my bitcoin stash and I am highly hesitating to spend them.
1725  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a professional gambler on your own way. on: May 12, 2020, 06:42:16 AM
Every successful professional gamblers treat gambling as a sport and like disciplined athletes, they don't let their emotions get the better of them. There will be bets you win and bets you lose. If you let the excitement or sadness get to you, you will end up making bad gambling decisions.
I just go in reverse; I mean as people are not limiting their emotions, they cannot become professional gamblers. Either one would play in your gambling: it would be you or your emotions. When you are playing there are more than 50% of the chances to win whereas when your emotions are playing there are only 0% chances. Playing emotion-less will be possible over the experience but gamblers usually grow along with their emotion failures; I mean when they become more experienced with gambling, they are becoming more emotional.

good skills and a plan. Having skills in every battle would be a great advantage but it won't work if you do not plan something, so it is a matter of combination between skills and plans.
I agree. We can play disciplined only when we are having some plan. To conquer your opponent/house, you must have some skill better than them. Simply, Martingale strategy provides you such a skill to you but when you keep on trying in long run you may lose your discipline and then you may lose.
1726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 11, 2020, 06:03:48 PM
We all know that there was some fight between Magic Johnson and I.Thomas , they even had a one on one thing together and it ended up with them resolving their issues and they both cried and so forth. Which means it can't be just Jordan, sure he was coming off victory over Thomas and so forth and they hated each other and those were understandable stuff, Jordan probably played a ROLE in that, however that doesn't change the fact that both Larry Bird and Magic Johnson hated Thomas as well.

I am not entirely sure who played a bigger role, but honestly as a coaching decision, you want your team to like each other and play well together, even Magic and MJ had a rivalry but they still respected each other, being rivals and being in enemy level is totally different thing.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering More or Wagering Less on: May 10, 2020, 08:59:20 PM
Honestly, the amount you put in doesn't matter when gambling. Unless you are playing some PVP game like poker where you are playing against other people instead of playing against the house, you will lose. House has house edges, that means casinos will make profit no matter how much you put in, the bigger you get the harder it will be actually since there is a max, but unless you are at the max, 1 bitcoin or 1 satoshi doesn't matter, you are going to get that 1% house edge against you so you will lose.

Certainly when you gamble more you are getting more stuff like points, vip's, rewards and other stuff that will drop the house edge, but it is still house edge, it is still there, there is really no way that you are going to win just because house edge is lower, it is still there.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casinos pros and cons on: May 10, 2020, 05:47:44 PM
The only disadvantage I currently see in a few crypto casinos is the minimum withdrawals because they're fixed to a certain amount. It rarely gets changed or reduced as a result the fiat value goes up since most cryptocurrencies have been growing. This would force players to make an extra deposit just to withdraw, it's not an issue for me but still a disadvantage regardless since you have to make an extra step.
I have visited casinos a lot of times and I can promise you the minimum here at online casinos is nothing as compared to what we have to bet at the real-life casinos. I mean you cannot even make a sub $10 bet if you have some friends around and it would feel a shame doing so and online casinos don't have any bet limits and then yes you have to reach a minimum in a few casinos but that is still much lower than what real casinos operate with.

I cannot see any disadvantage with virtual casinos unless they have a rigged system and mind you not all games are provably fair so I cannot trust that and there are many technical aspects like there used to be a website called dicebitco.in and they were doing some skipping winning bets thing and unless you are a expert you cannot find that so those things are the only dis-advantage I think.
1729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting as a Trader and Trading Bitcoin on: May 09, 2020, 06:12:16 PM
I think everyone will know what bitcoin is, so if it were me, then I would first learn how to do basic trading strategies.
Yes but not everyone knows why recently the price is increasing and an experienced trader will easily laugh and say that is because of the FOMO around the halving that makes people buy more bitcoins and hence the price went up. Knowing bitcoins is good but knowing about the deep aspects like how will miners cooperate with halving and how the price will be affected by some milestones, I mean I consider halving as a milestone, will help a trader make more suitable trades. That been said there are a large number of reddit posts I saw with good information and there are some good videos too, just make sure not to trust any links or software any unknown people provide you.

When I was new someone easily fooled  me by sending some transaction with 0 fees or something which was later cancelled and I felt so bad and foolish so same applies to trading, you learn new things and you grow daily.
1730  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: May 09, 2020, 03:42:02 PM
Sorry man i do not believe new exchange because i am always happy in old exchange like binance kucoin and gate. Personally i am very impressed binance exchange because they have more high secority with big market place.
yeah Binance has managed to gain the trust that is required by an exchange and also managed to implement some of the best and latest features in the market. I was one of the supporters of poloniex but I have felt like poloniex while is good and trusted but they lack the tools that are required by a modern trader and other exchanges are too traditional. So, yeah I also feel like trading with Binance only and there is actually nothing that I cannot find at Binance which any other exchange provides.

Gaining trust from the crypto community is the toughest task for any exchange and they have managed to do that by their flawless nature so far, I had no problems at all with them and I tried a new exchange some time ago called as cryptopia and it ended very badly.
1731  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: May 09, 2020, 02:56:37 PM
For a person confident enough in their trading skills even starting with $50 would be enough since the matter about gaining profit is knowing when to buy and or sell. These are pointers that would often determine your moves as a trader, but of course, it takes a long time and a lot of experience to develop an eye for these trends as these are not always obvious, or even if they seem obvious they might not be necessarily real. So knowing your game, is all what trading is about which unfortunately comes on the back of having lost a lot while learning.
Well if till now you have not started to trade then you will not be able to get huge profit or maybe you will make mistake so better to spend small amount not more than 100 or 200 dollars because if you will Lose in it you will not get worried amd earning with 20 dollar per day seems to be risky for me so spend small amount for long time period it decreases the chances of lose.
Right and if you are margin trader it is always best to start with a small sum of money because I have seen that most of the margin traders initially fail so it is a wise idea to invest small initially and see how you adapt to the market. Once you feel like you are doing good maybe it is time to go big or get serious for trading.

Another good idea is to start trading with a demo account and once you are confident and able to make profits in the demo account then start with your own account and use real cash. I don't think $100 is even worth wasting if you can just open a demo account and start learning the basics of trading, 100 USD might be good once you are making profits in the demo account.
1732  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Easiest Way For New Traders To Profit From The Crypto Market on: May 09, 2020, 01:59:33 PM
That article basically seems like a paid ad to promote e-toro which I never used myself.

If you ask me, the best and most regular way by which people make money with bitcoins trading is by taking advantage of the fluctuating price daily as it goes down 200-300 USD easily per day and you just need to buy and sell and in case the price doesn't go p and down you need the patience to hold for a few days for the price to fluctuate again and let me tell you, in my bitcoin journey of years I haven't seen a constant phase yet. There will always be ups and downs maybe it takes a few weeks at worst, that's it.

But do learn that every trading method comes with a risk and I would be millionaire if this was such easy and profitable.
1733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash what are your thoughts? on: May 08, 2020, 05:00:41 PM
I see a lot of people talking about BCH, a lot of adopter and also a lot of people that don't like and some that says it's a scam.
And you? what is your opinion about it? A good coin? a shitcoin?
I won't say it's a scam, it's just about choice. The same way you're seeing people that are saying that Bitcoin Cash is a scam is the same way you will see people that are saying that Bitcoin is a scam. Even John McAfee said that Bitcoin is a scam after several efforts in trying to predict the next price of Bitcoin but all ending up as a failure, and he then concluded that Bitcoin is a scam.

So, it is all about choice, whatever you like, there is likely to be someone else that hates it. I invest in bitcoin and I also invest in Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum, Litecoin and Stellar, and I have also invested in other coins. There is nothing wrong with Bitcoin Cash, it even has some features you might like, except that it is not widely accepted and used as Bitcoin.
1734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wanna Know how to trade? on: May 08, 2020, 09:57:17 AM
Do you wanna know how to trade briliiantly, then you cannot be afraid,

Traders Fail, Fail, and Fail again and again; but make sure that you learn to fail better, learn to fail in grand styles. Soon you will be be unable to fail because you have experienced what it looks like to fail, and why it happened that you fail.

Thats when you will start to consistently win; let away the fear, fail, embrace the failure by learning to be better; then you will enjoy every bits of trading.
If the loss is too much, it's best that you take a break from it. Seriously, if you lose all the money there will be no other way for you to continue the trading.

Take your time and learn about it and look at the reasons why you have been losing your money, if you're able to figure them out , you can then look for ways to sort out your problem. Making a constant loss means that things are not being done right, so it's best to stop and look for a solution and not just keep repeating it and losing your money. And moreover trading does not work for everyone, if it's not working after a hard try, then look for something else.
1735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY THE BLAME ON BOUNTY HUNTERS FOR SHITCOINS? on: May 08, 2020, 08:13:41 AM
People who are blaming bounty hunters just don't know what they are doing, it's me the fault of the bounty hunters that a project failed. Bounty hunters are just like freelancers that are employed for a short time to do a job of promoting a project, and the tokens they get are just their payment, so there is nothing wrong with them selling the tokens they got immediately.

After working for a long time and getting paid, you have the right to do whatever you want with the income you have gotten. If anyone should be blamed , I would say depending on the situation you can blame the investors or the devs. I said the devs, because if they don't do what they are meant to do, the project will fail.
1736  Economy / Gambling / Re: #2 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: May 08, 2020, 06:38:24 AM
most people seem to support upping starting stacks to 5k, or otherwise don't care. personally i think it'll make games more fun and yield more action. make it so, @efialtis! Tongue
This could be solved if we could have like a bigger number of people here, people like me who are afraid to go in usually do not go in because of the big buy ins but also even if I lose that is not really a big deal but the anger for being soooo out of league to play here is a bit the problem here, people who are miiiles better than me play here so I do not join, there must be a lot of people like that as well. Which means the prize is actually quite good, it is the number of people that join that keeps it low, just think about 100 people or even 1k people joining to this tourney, then the prize would be insane. However that charity thing makes sense, I could enroll to that one because at that point I know I will lose and will be upset that everyone was so much better than me, but at least the money will go to a charity.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 07, 2020, 07:06:27 PM
I doubt Pacers are looking "strong" with their current roster. Do not get me wrong they are not one of the bad teams on the league but they are right now not going to do anything at all, their best situation would be like a second round exit on playoff and that is probably the best ever they could hope for, even missing out playoff is a possible thing for that team if they have some injuries like they had.

So, I think breaking it all down and starting to rebuild and hoping to get couple of good rookies would be ideal for them. Look at sixers, they basically got only 2 good rookies with Embiid and Simmons, most others are trades they did to get there and honestly they are doing pretty well, they almost beat latest champions and only lost because of Kawhi's famous shot.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to begin your gambling affiliate journey. on: May 07, 2020, 05:44:12 PM
I have been into gambling affiliate marketing for a year now but it has hardly yielded any big benefits for me. I do know why you think that a pandemic situation like this can be utilised to our benefits. I have seen a steep decline in traffic on one of my website. It was better earlier than what it is now.
Affiliate marketing isn't easy and not very profitable unless you have some good social skills where you can spread your links and expect some real traffic. Forum signatures here at bitcointalk are a great way to grab some affiliates if you wish to do so.

Another good way which is actually bit of a morally wrong method is where some people will contact you on some casino and then inform you about benefits you can gain by other casinos and then giving them your own referral link. I was once gambling on a casino and I was messaged by someone explaining me how good other casino was, so this is another method people use which I don't recommend though.

And by the way be it pandemic or anything affiliate marketing has always been a great source of income.
1739  Economy / Speculation / Re: say welcome to THE FOMO... on: May 07, 2020, 12:12:03 PM
FOMO can make someone rich and also make us buy some useless shit coins. I mean there have been ICOs in past where the FOMO (Fear of missing out) was so heavy on my that I invested way too much and regretted later.

Bitcoin halving also creates a FOMO in my mind but unlike shit coins its worth to invest some and I will do that, but added to that I was saving some bitcoins since sometime and I feel good that my coins will have more value now and I don't have to feel too anxious about missing out on bitcoins are the current price.

Full Read: https://www.forrestvisions.com/blog/bitcoin-halving-2020

I know everyone is excited about the halving and its possible implications on the price of Bitcoin in both the short and long term. To get a good view you need to research previous Halvings, and lucky for you we already did! Check out the blog post above and see how the Halving will impact Bitcoin, the anwser might surprise you.

How do you think Bitcoins price will be impacted by the Halving in 2020?
Firstly, I must say the article was pretty good and the language is very easy to understand so well done. I like how the article says that the halving has made sure the bitcoins are released to the market at a slow speed which brings more value to the bitcoins and how miners are affected with the halving.

In my personal opinion halving does affect the price positively because the same bitcoins technically have the double value after halving. I mean if you are a miner who finds a block before halving you get double of what you would get if you found the block after halving. I am pretty sure the halving will affect the price and it will go up but don't expect a massive change to be honest.
