ha, i also liked john carter.. did anyone else enjoy that movie?

John Carter was a pleasant surprise for me. I never expected much fun out of it but somehow it was worthwhile.

[WTS] 1,000 in PayPal for Bitcoins

Just another way of saying WTB Bitcoins with PayPal.

It's amazing how the perception of risk factor changes just by rephrasing the sentence.
1743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No, Bitcoin Wasn't Created By The CIA on: August 12, 2014, 01:03:26 PM
There was a proactive group of people who went ahead as far as releasing documentaries based on similarly flimsy 'evidences' to prove that USA never landed on moon. ("Did We Land On Moon?" is the documentary and I'm sure many of us here have watched it)

No matter how they tried to present it, it all fell apart as time passed by. Same with Bitcoin and CIA.
1744  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what exchange do u use? on: August 12, 2014, 08:10:18 AM
I thought BitStamp would be leading the way.

But it looks like BTC-e has bigger user base.

Late; but better late than never.

They could have raised a lot more if they had started accepting it earlier.

My personal favorite list here:
http://www.shaggypress.com/2013/11/top-10-natural-places-to-see-before-you-die.html

Especially the Grand Canyon, Great Barrier Reef and the Pangong Lake.

I haven't been to any of them yet, though.

Keep in mind that it is a beta version. It works with Nvidia and CUDA GPU on Windows only.

Does GPU mining on this coin give more hashes than CPU mining?
I have a Intel Core-i7 CPU and AMD Radeon HD7950 GPU.

Won't work with your GPU

How much you get with NVIDIA? I might arrange for one if that gives good performance. Any benchmarks?

I don't know about the minergate one. There is an open source nv miner here that I think gets about 250 H/s on a 750ti so theirs might be similar. https://github.com/tsiv/ccminer-cryptonight

I got 250H/s on EVGA 570 https://github.com/tsiv/ccminer-cryptonight/releases

Thanks for info guys! Will try it out soon.

1755  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hit it with the Fork on: July 23, 2014, 12:41:29 PM
We need a Bitcoin fork or clone or whatever that can go mainstream. A coin that will sell like crack (that is the standard for music, so why not coins?)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVhMt26F7gA

There is already one coin that fits your requirement. It is called Bytecoin [BTE]; it is an exact Bitcoin clone with just a different name. It was launched so that the world can have 'a fair distribution'.

Buy some BTE.

/end of sarcasm
1756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 51% Attack - Why isn't anything being done about it? on: July 23, 2014, 12:34:06 PM
Perhaps the reason this wouldn't happen is because there's nothing in wrecking bitcoin for the super rich? 50million to do it maybe, but in destroying bitcoin's credibility, there'll be no value resulting from any dastardly deeds I'm pretty sure.

What if the obvious and financially strong enemies of Bitcoin (Banks, PayPal and likewise) do a 51% attack to save their own ass? They sure have got a hell to win if BTC loses credibility.

Hi everyone,

I thought I'd quickly post my experience with igot since there's a bit of a mixed bag here so far.

Good luck & happy trading people!

Hey, thanks for sharing your experience. It builds up my confidence and I'm going to try this exchange soon enough.

heh I was being sarcastic at first but that link you provided is actually pretty cool... Thanks Smiley

Thank you.

Although the one I'll always remember is the guy who threw the hard drive with 7500 BTC into a dump yard.
