1741  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Neptune 2nd Batch on: December 02, 2013, 11:18:45 AM
I just wondering when gonna be second batch of neptune? I was planing to order 1st batch but i missed it was sold out too fast. One thing is that Neptune 1st batch  was a little bit too expensive because with 3 TH/s would be hard to get ROI after 2-3 months. If KNC increase the price of neptune on 2nd batch it will be unprofitable and by the way 2nd batch will be shipped much more lately than 1st batch.what are yours opinions about Neptune second bacth .Lets guess price and shipment date and will it give  to us ROI ?

Order KNCMiner 2nd Gen

Remember that this Batch is Minimum 3TH Speed System ETA Q1/Q2 2014

Do you think it will sell out in 24 72 hours?

Hmm. Looking at the payouts, my last two attempts are no longer in process, but deleted entirely, leaving my balance 0. Yet the payout for the incorrect 136 Btc is still showing in process. Wtf?

Your telling us that you had attempted to withdrawal  the full balance Not once but twice??
1745  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Is 50btc.com still working? on: December 01, 2013, 10:30:54 AM
has anybody still using 50btc?
I have 20BTCs in the 50bct account ,but I can't get it out to my wallet, and their webmaster didn't response any of my question,  what happened to those guys? are they dead since last hack attack?

What is the total in your account.
1746  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: What's going on with 50btc? on: December 01, 2013, 10:17:10 AM
A couple of weeks ago I was going through my bookmarks and remembered a long time ago I'd mined with 50btc, so I logged in to see if I had a few coins in there I had forgotten about that I could cash out.

When I got logged in I found that I had over 160 BTC!

So I went to cash out and kept getting errors when trying to send BTC to my address.

Then I read their news and found that their system had been compromised ( https://50btc.com/news ).

The last update they posted was on October 28 and no news since them. I have contacted them twice with no reply.

160 BTC is worth a LOT of money.

Does anyone know what's going on with them? Is there any way to get the BTC they owe me?

A month back their system to keep track of account coin was compromised.
Everyone's account shows a huge jump in BTC balance however that amount is not true.
My one account states that I have over 70 BTC and a withdrawal history of negative -30 BTC however on that account I have never made a withdrawl nor have a address registered.

They have released a public statement that they are working on the new site to solve the potential breach and coordinated attacks to impoverish the pool and its miners by withholding solved blocks exploit.

PS that account never had more than 17btc

Alright all you bears out there come out of your hibernation.
When do you predict the crash to levels below $600 is going to happen.

1749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are all your friends telling you to cash out, too? on: November 28, 2013, 08:43:50 AM
I have been mining since mid 2010. I spent as I wnet and reinvested in mining gear when BTC = $200. Insult to injury, I passed on my wife's endorsement to invest $1K when BTC was $2  Sad

I could have been a millionaire but I did what was right at the time.

Now with a fist full of coins (<5 BTC) I hang on with grim determination for the $100K per BTC mark.

i did the same thing, bought a mini rig instead of 3300 coins..... Can't undo that mistake!

how are you guys powering off your unit? i just got mine today. when i first got it going i was hashing at 667 and my pool also showed 667. i did a power shut down by turning off the psu and changed it to some other psu. then powered it back on and now i'm at 567 and pool is at 399. anyone having the same problem?

Sounds like it may be a module issue. You may wish to check with knc support as I am not sure batch 1 firmware tools work on your new unit.
1751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 28, 2013, 07:29:15 AM
I am guessing the link is done then, I still see no option to purchase.

Sure it is...

I cant see it, tried 3 different browsers, either Joke's on me or its broke. I dunno which.

A. Are you a previous customer?

B. Are you logged in?

LTC made me some good returns in the last few days and thinking of buying a few more neptunes.  if someone wants me to use their reseller ID, thinking of buying 2 or 3 more.  Open to giving me .5 BTC for each use of the reseller id?  Considering that the free one is 10% off, each link should be worth about 1BTC...  asking for 1/2 that should be reasonable.

Hit me up if interested.

https://www.kncminer.com/?resellerid=277

I have bought 3 neptunes, I will do the same like others. If you want? Grin

If we got 10, then for every piece 10% Hashpower - Pool = ghash.io
Every shareholder 10% per piece!

you can check my profile on ebay send me an pm.

thx

fubly

I keep seeing these reseller links that go nowhere, are they just used that quickly or is it just a joke to make me check the link? Smiley

They work if your account is logged in onknc

Then under miner hardware you will see the option to buy,
1753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 27, 2013, 10:15:28 PM
I've placed one order today 128xx, i presume they are all sold out, if i am not wrong yesterday they started when the progressive number was 109xx or 1100x, and we have to consider also that one order could contain 10 pieces.

Not everyone who placed an order has paid yet, so they might not be sold out.
They are not going to find twelve hundred idiots in existing customers that quickly. Most miners with any experience realise that pre-ordering something for delivery in 7 months time in a market as volatile as bitcoin is stupidity too risky. And those of us stung by KNC's "Ship late, ship faulty" service won't be ordering again.

When BTC was around $100, the obvious move was to buy BTC directly instead of investing in mining hardware. Now that BTC is ~$1000, and a Neptune only costs ~10 BTC, buying BTC directly or holding is certainly not the obvious move to me.

As long as Knc delivers, and they have the best track record of any mining hardware manufacturer, I'm fairly certain that a 3000GH miner will earn back more than 10 BTC within a year (only ~.03 coins/day).

At this point with BTC at $1000, I'd rather invest in mining hardware than buy BTC directly.

But in 3 months BTC maybe 5000 USD and the unit may only return you a fraction of what you paid in BTC.

I admire those very early adopters that have been hoarding Bitcoin and never sold even 1 ! Respect

Raised my ASK order to 1800 USD

800k to drop on mining hardware... any ideas?

Bitfury or KNC have proven tech.

If KNCminer 20nm works out then you are set.

Dead Die update

Got an RMA'd board back and it ran fine for a few days and a die died..   Turned off the fan, let it heat up to 82c and it came back on (switched to FW 94 from 98.1 beta for this)

let it cool with fan and run stable for 5 mins then switched it back to 98.1 and running fine.

so where is that tuning app KNC??   we need it

I also notice that heat helps recover the units full potential.
1758  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [KnCMiner] Neptune 20nm "early 2014" on: November 27, 2013, 01:30:13 AM
Did not see any mentions of this on the knc thread; so though I would start a new thread on, what appears to be, their next-gen chips.

There seemed to be a fairly large consensus on the forum that 20nm tech was years away from being using mining; but now it could be available in a few months.

Anyone got any ideas on specs or costs?

Speculate away.

$9,995 plus shipping

Most expect shipping end of March first week of April.

expect power consumption at 0.82watts per GH/s

What matters, is how much do you make with a 3TH miner..

knowing KNC it'll be more than 3TH..  probably 4TH if you have enough power to run it right

I think a lot of customers would of been fine buying more of those Nov designed jupiters for a late Feb delivery then not knowing how the Neptune will rollout

What ever it will be. It will be one of the best hardware available for public consumption.
