I'll disagree, but that's a point of view. I agree with PatrickHarnett. There are some big loans out there but that doesn't mean they were used for loan arb. In fact, I used all of the btc loaned to me + my own btc to invest in more hardware. I do know that certain 'savings' plans specifically disallow arb'ing. I'd be careful to make sure you aren't using one of them.

If you really want to consolidate your loans, then ask the person that is going to be the main loan to send the btc directly the the people you owe btc too.. otherwise, you could just take the coins from the four (now biggest) loan and disappear. See why people are leary about loaning to pay back loans?

Better make another thread...
No. Shit. I guess the forums warrant a 25% discount to market value according to these morons. If you don't like what people on the forums are bidding, then go sell your shit on eBay. (See.. it works both ways)

Thank you I'm pretty sure I wish I was in the business you're in Trust me, I would clone myself if I could. Next up, DoublePirate Capital Management Would that be CoPirate?

I am selling a sealed physical Visa gift card with a $50 value in exchange for Bitcoin priced at the MTGox low, shipped free anywhere within the US. Feel free to contact me on steam under the ID "mofolicious" or thru bitcointalk pm. All items are priced according to the Bitcoin low. I have a rep in the Honest Traders thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=484.0 , and my Steam Games thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=12119.0. I have other rep if required. PM me offers & questions. Pegging it to the low means someone is paying more than $50 for a $50 card. Usually with prepaids, there's a discount, not premium.

If this proves to go well, I will design a web interface to allow you to see your current balance and make deposits/withdrawals.
Is the best way to track an investment with you now to contact you on IRC? Yes.

Repaid with interest 2 days early. Cheers!
Confirmed repayment of 5.5btc. Thank you very much. +1 jjzm On a side note, you should sign up in #bitcoin-otc so you can start to earn a trust rating. It'll help make deals like this easier for you in the future.

Hey there,
I am looking for a 5 BTC loan for 2-3 days. Have already made a bank transfer to MtGox but it was late last night and hasn't been processed immediately, and I am impatient.
Will pay back 6 BTC!
If multiple lenders want to split up this loan and don't trust me, that's fine but a guy has to start somewhere, I will be paying back.
Cheers.

Hi vuce, Every negative rating on there is a result of a mostly-harmless prank I pulled on #bitcoin-otc. I put up a shopped screenshot showing that I had a 20000 BTC long position, and said I was going to liquidate it soon. I thought they'd think that the screenshot was fake, but it turns out that lying on the channel, even if trolling, is a serious matter. It was a joke that went bad, and I apologize to the few people who lost money. However, I assure you that the incident has no bearing at all on the reliability of loans to me, or any other dealings with me. I have always been completely transparent... I have always made potentially unsavory aspects of my business, such as the ponzis I used to run, completely public, and I have done the same with loans. I have handled large amounts of bitcoin in the past, and I will continue to do so and maintain my trustworthiness. Many well-known members (won't mention them publicly unless they give me permission) trust me despite my negative ratings, because they know that in my actual business dealings, I have always been reliable. Thanks for bringing it up. I should have addressed this long ago, and you reminded me. I want to mention that ineededausername and I talked last night via irc regarding the cause of the ratings. I expressed my issues with what he had originally done and he understood. We discussed a variety of topics and after, I found my confidence/trust in him had been strengthened. Obviously YMMV.

alright, 6.5 call the number in the thread and we make the trade.
First thing tomorrow morning, I'm on my way to bed now, I'm long overdue.

Ok, brace yourselves..
Here's a conversation I had just a second ago in IRC and rather than retype it, I'm gonna paste it.
[2012/01/24 01:37:00] <+imsaguy> The idea is kinda cute, but the implementation sucks. [2012/01/24 01:37:21] <+imsaguy> Typos, layout, validation are all lacking [2012/01/24 01:37:50] <+imsaguy> He's got numbers for comments, but the comments are actually redundant, so why are they getting unique numbers? [2012/01/24 01:38:07] <+copumpkin> it seems to be an attempt to reimplement a sort of WOT [2012/01/24 01:38:17] <+copumpkin> but without any of the strong identity guarantees [2012/01/24 01:38:36] <+copumpkin> I'd like a WOT with multi-step signed statements though [2012/01/24 01:38:39] <+imsaguy> Plus at some point, my privacy is compromised. [2012/01/24 01:38:51] <+imsaguy> My credit report [IRL] is only available if I authorize it. [2012/01/24 01:39:06] <+imsaguy> Here, I have some third party just plastering everything out there. [2012/01/24 01:39:15] <+copumpkin> yeah, ugh [2012/01/24 01:39:19] <+imsaguy> Personally, I have nothing to hide. [2012/01/24 01:39:22] <+imsaguy> But its more the idea. [2012/01/24 01:39:22] <+copumpkin> plus there's no connecting it to the actual person there [2012/01/24 01:39:30] <+copumpkin> identity thieves would have a field day

you got the coins, right?
Not quite yet, but I do see the transaction on the Block Explorer so I'm confident they'll arrive sooner or later (probably within a few hours) (: Is your blockchain up to date? That would be the only reason you don't see them. If it is for an online wallet, you'll probably need to wait until 6 blocks have passed before you will get credited.
