Impressive...  Wink

So the main point in crypto-mining is to choose right girlfriend?..

Mona is supposedly popular in Japan sooo

Any proofs? I am thinking about mining of Monacoin, does the game worth the candles?  Roll Eyes

Try to find the status of your worker at ghash website. Something like "Workers", "Dasboard"...

I see "16 khash/s" at right bottom corner of your GUIMiner's window... It should mean that your miner is working, am I right? GPU load is 99% too...
1764  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 03, 2015, 05:15:38 AM
How about new, improved firmware for your S5s?

Our dear member smit1237 issued another custom FW, this time for S5.  Cheesy

It contains a database and some graphs. The database contains info about:

1) Speed of the fans #1 and #2;
2) Hashrate (5s and Avg);
3) Curent temperature of both blades.

The data is being collected to DB (it's a ring database, the depth of data is one year) once once per minute and then being averaged. You are able then to "rewind" the data (on the miner or on another PC) by some manipulations in the script and show to someone (look for youself) the status of S5 at that date. So you can prove/check that the miner you are trying to buy/sell was OK and is OK.

There are also 3 graphs (for the day, for the month and for the year) that you can see by following the link "http://<IP_of_your_S5>/cgi-bin/graph.rrd".

What else? Cgminer v4.9.0, text redactor "nano" are also included.

The firmware itself is here: http://smit1237.asuscomm.com:8080/s5/SD-S5-20150107_cgminer_4.9.0_freq_control_nano_graph.tar.gz

You can flash it in usual way.

Do not forget to send some tips to smit1237 for his enthusiasm.  Wink

1766  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: P2POOL/Twisted Error on Miner Login on: March 02, 2015, 09:46:21 AM
Do not forget to forward some ports to PC where you are trying to deploy a node in your router's settings:

Quote
8333/tcp - Bitcoin Wallet Node Port - For communicating with other nodes.  Forward this port to allow inbound wallet connections.  This is not required, but recommended to fully participate in the Bitcoin network.

9332/tcp - Bitcoin P2Pool miner and web interface port.  Forward this port if you want to allow other miners to mine on your node.  And forward if you want to check your statistics (access web page) from outside your LAN.
9333/tcp - Bitcoin P2Pool node port.  Forward this port to allow inbound connections from other P2Pool nodes.  This is not required, but recommended to fully participate in the P2Pool network.

Hey guys I'm new to this whole bit coin thing and just have a question or two.

You are welcome!  Wink

Is my computer good enough to mine just off if it? Link to my specs. http://gyazo.com/95fb4fcd6c95007fd353694025f51b87 Also have a Nvidia GTX 760. Any other tips pr tricks would help.

With all possible PC things you can mine darkcoin (DRK), monero (XMR) or other GPU/CPU-oriented forks. Please don't ask me about how much you will earn on that or another coin...  Grin BTC mining on non-(top)ATI GPUs is completely meaningless these days... But anyway you can find a block in SOLO.  Cheesy

Or should I look into buying an Avalon product. Thank You Grin

You should wait for the announcement of next-generation ASIC miner by Bitmain: https://bitmaintech.com/product.htm. It's not available yet. Or buy cheap used Bitmain Antminer S2 and then wait when the S2 upgrade kit will be available for purchasing. It should be available in nearest future as thay said... Or just buy (used) S5 from resellers of forum members.
1768  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: how to install hardware ? on: March 02, 2015, 09:24:37 AM
I'm interesed . how to i install btc mining hardware (antiminer) in home ?  And will start btc earning ,

Tell me , what should do ?

PM'ed.

In general:

1) "how to i install btc mining hardware (antiminer) in home" - you should find a suitable place for you miners: there should be more or less cold air (the cooler - the better) and reliable power socket (and wires feeding it). There also should be an Ethernet cable in that place to connect an ethernet switch (or you maybe will use wireless bridge to provide connection with Internet for your Antminer(s)). You better use metal (or other nonflammable) shelving. Always take care of fire safety!

2) "And will start btc earning" - If I understand correctly, all you need is described in dogie's setup guides (you just need to select proper mining pool for your exact location - you will need to use ping program) and in Bitmain's manuals.

3) First try to search, then try to ask.  Wink
1769  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Let's Overclock My S5's Today! on: March 02, 2015, 09:18:23 AM
There apparently no reason to rise the frequency higher than 400 without voltage rising. The hashrate will not increase heavily after 400.

But even if you will modify voltage, S5 will heating up too much, so my advice is not to do this without additional cooling mods (or without frosty air for intake...)...  Roll Eyes

Try to comminicate with smit1237, he is very experienced in reverse engineering of S5 firmware. Do not forget to send a little "thanx" to his wallet.
1773  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Bitmain Antminer S5 Setup [HD] on: February 27, 2015, 10:26:27 AM
So they SD card slot is for restoring things if they go wrong?

Yes, but currently we don't have a solution on how to use it.

I heard that it's enough just to insert a SD card with C1/S4 firmware on it and boot up your S5, then you will need to update a FW to latest (or custom...) version for S5.

Current diff you're looking at 2309 days, 7 hours, 27 minutes, 3 seconds

EDIT: beat me to it!

Well... If you should SOLVE the block - maybe... But ain't we talking about FIND a block?.. My S2 found a block (in a pool working unfortunately) after about 2 monthes last year.
