1762  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: November 16, 2022, 10:17:58 PM
I read some incredible comments in this thread by people who has absolutely no clue :-) Exit scam of the casino... What ?

In regards to all the blatant copycats I can say only one thing, stay away. I opened this website "punt" and this is nearly a copyright infringement in my humble opinion. A business that cannot invest in it's own original design is simply laughable, the person who came here to this forum to promote this joke of a website should be ashamed of himself

Well said. I'm no expert, so I don't know how far copyright infringement goes and where inspiration ends and plagiarism begins. But from what I've seen, it's clear that Punt.com is using a lot of the same graphics and themes as Stake.com. I've even uploaded a few screenshots for a side-by-side comparison here, for anyone interested. In fact, if I didn't know better, I would assume that Punt.com was simply a re-branding of Stake.com with a new name and some minor changes to the design. What I find most ridiculous is that Punt.com seems to be trying to pass itself off as an "original", even though it's clearly a clone of Stake.
1763  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun | Live tables | Baccarat |Slots| InstantWithraw on: November 16, 2022, 09:03:06 PM
On the top of the website there is a lightning icon and it shows "coming soon" when I click on it. I'm curious to know what it's used for. Are you planning to accept lightning payments by any chance?
Coming soon is showing in several places for example on the icon on lighting, the icon on notification, if click on the wallet, and later on bonus coin/free spins. There might have many other places where there is a showing coming soon. So, I think there are several options coming on. We need to wait for the update.

I also noticed that the blue thunder icon and "Coming soon" appeared after the UI was refreshed. It appears to be related to features that have been added but are not yet available, like notifications. They are probably still in the test phase and will be made available to everyone after that.

Good job, Blackjack.fun, by the way! I really like your new design.
1764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad beginning for crypto beginners. on: November 16, 2022, 08:44:21 PM

Beginners with the mindset of taking crypto trading as a job opportunity:  some beginners thinks crypto can cover up the space of getting  a job. It is wrong to plan of making cryptocurrency a source of income as a beginner.  It is important to have emergency fund while Investing in crypto.

I don't understand the context of this paragraph. Normally, crypto provides jobs for people, if a beginner have got skills like; data analysis, programming, content creation etc, that fits in a cryptocurrency firm looking for his potentials, then its not a wrong move if he applies and gets employed. And he/she doesn't need cash to get employed. The only investment required here is time which matters in every field.

It would be better if you specified what part of cryptocurrency a beginner shouldn't take as a job opportunity. Like I did above.

All am saying is that it is not ideal for a beginner to depend on crypto as a source of income. Their maybe some established traders/investors  that crypto  become a job that brings income. If a beginner reasons to make crypto as a source of income,  then such person will be full of expectations,  so desperate to make profit all time.

The answer depends on what kind of job it is. "Crypto as a source of income" is a very broad term that can include all different kinds of work depending on what you can do. Crypto is an exciting field to be in, and something we predict will continue to grow in the coming years. The technology is developing fast, and I expect that more jobs will be popping up surrounding it as people realize just how important this field is to the future of many industries. For example, if you have programming or other technical skills, there are plenty of websites where you can find short-term jobs working on cryptocurrency projects. Or if you have a service that other people are willing to pay for, then it might be worth starting your own business and reaching out directly to those customers (and charge for it directly in crypto).

All we're saying is that you should consider crypto-related business beyond just trading. In the end, there are many different kinds of jobs out there, both in and outside the world of crypto. You just need to find one that's right for you.
1765  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your screen time on: November 16, 2022, 08:15:56 PM
Yeah. Prolonged exposure to screens is nothing new and there's still a lot of debate as to what extent it affects our health. But even if the dangers aren't as serious as they once were believed to be, great eye strain is still no fun, so we definitely shouldn't take it lightly. So if you notice that your eyes are acting up, let them relax for a little while. Your eyes will thank you later. When in doubt, take a break from your screen and rest your fatigued peepers. Cut back on eye strain. Add some Omega 3s to your diet, get some exercise and sunlight, and you'll be good as new!  Cheesy
1766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I hope it's finally over for CEXs on: November 16, 2022, 07:19:20 PM
Sorry to say this but I don't think exchanges are really in a danger of collapsing as well. You see, professional traders use exchanges, miners use exchanges and even casual users like me use some exchanges. I have several wallets, but since I'm not a big holder so used to keep some of my funds on Binance. But it was an eye opener for me when I saw what the FTX exchange was doing with the money. They were using it to make money on their own! I'm not sure if this is legal or not but it's certainly not ethical. I'm sure there are other exchanges out there doing the same thing.

I have always traded on Binance and was never really worried about my funds, but this event has made me change my mind. The first thing that occurred to me was how easy it was to lose everything! This is why I advise new traders to start small and keep their funds safe until they learn how the game works. Don't put all your eggs in one basket and never leave funds on an exchange that you don't use for trading.
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bought 8000 lottery tickets on: November 15, 2022, 12:06:54 AM
Costs only 0.1 $ ticket
8000 ticketsc for 800$

What my odda to get 6 numbers?

https://ibb.co/kcJMM2b
That depends, i would need to know how how high those ball numbers go. I know by looking that there are 5 normal lottery balls and one extra but i can't find the numbers with a quick glance.

If someone isn't busy and knows how high those ball numbers go they can calculate it: https://www.wikihow.com/Calculate-Lotto-Odds

To win in the lottery jackpot you must choose a sequence of 5 numbers correctly from the sequence from 1 to 36 and one number from the sequence from 1 to 10.

I think the math would go like this:
1/36 * 1/35 * 1/34 * 1/33 * 1/32 = 1/45239040

But since you can choose your numbers in any order, there are more possible combinations and therefore a slightly greater chance of winning. A sequence of 5 numbers can be written down in 5! (5 factorial) different ways, so there are 120 different combinations of tickets with 5 correct numbers. When we divide 45239040 by 120 to account for this, we get 376992. So, the chance of hitting 5 correct numbers from the sequence 1 to 36 is 1 in 376992.

The chance of hitting the last number is 1/10, so if I did my math right, your overall chance of winning the jackpot would be 1 in 3,769,920.

Cristiano Ronaldo has given an explosive interview with Piers Morgan for TalkTV released by The Sun on Sunday night, criticising Manchester United and Erik ten Hag. Ronaldo: "Disrespectful Manchester United have betrayed me. I've been made black sheep. I don't respect Erik ten Hag". He also said there has been "zero progress" at the club since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in the summer of 2013.

Can you suggest some examples for decentralized exchanges?

THORSwap

To name just a few. It depends which tokens or coins you want to trade.
1770  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 has been one of the most significant eventful years of crypto history. on: November 13, 2022, 10:14:05 PM
It has been a wild ride, but the year is almost at its close. The market has shed billions in valuation and it's highly unlikely that things will go back to their 2021 highs anytime soon. Let's just hope 2022 goes down as the worst year for crypto for many years to come. And hopefully, we can all look back on 2022 as the year that forced positive change to occur, regardless of how scary the headlines were at the time. Oh, and if you're planning on contributing to the next wave of negative news: please don't! Smiley

All joking aside, it's nice to see a fairly accurate recap of the biggest news of the year in the space.

I don't know if it's just FUD or fake news (I hope it is), but a few Twitter users have been warning that something bad could happen soon with the Crypto.com exchange.

1772  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions, predictions, predictions... on: November 13, 2022, 08:12:49 PM
Bitcoin has had a hard year, but this is still a pretty big blow to the entire ecosystem, so if you're looking to get into crypto right now, you might want to wait a bit. Market cycles are just as much of an important part of the crypto game as the assets themselves, and things will likely rebound eventually. I know it's not easy to wait when all you want is that sweet sweet Bitcoin in your wallet – but patience, my friends. Patience.

1774  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's a Great Chance to Buy Bitcoin before 25 December Bitcoin High Jump ^ on: November 13, 2022, 07:34:44 PM
Each aspect of the market is affected. From new investors to daily traders and big whales, we're all seeing that effects of this crisis. We can only pray for them who really lost in this situation, though I'm convinced that it's just a matter of time until it will come back.

To be very clear, I really don't know what the future holds for this market. We're all being shaken like a bunch of ragdolls right now, and it's definitely not pleasant. Hopefully, we'll see new investors come in at lower prices, with even more money to put into the currency. With that being said, if you are looking to buy in at or around current prices, there's nothing I can tell you other than "your call." Everything is so volatile right now that predicting the next few weeks feels impossible, let alone the next month. Roll with the punches and play by your own rules until this madness has settled down a little bit.
1775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bearish fud main account Bitcoin on Twitter on: November 12, 2022, 09:46:08 PM
Is there even such a thing as an official Bitcoin twitter account? I don't know who is behind that account, but as hatshepsut93 said, Bitcoin is an open source project that belongs to everyone and no one owns the Bitcoin.

There isn't even an official Bitcoin website:

Bitcoin.org is not Bitcoin's official website. Just like nobody owns the email technology, nobody owns the Bitcoin network. As such, nobody can speak with authority in the name of Bitcoin.
1776  Other / Meta / Re: Not Your Keys Not your Coins Banner Needed Everywhere? on: November 12, 2022, 09:26:21 PM
The saying sounds simple enough, but its true meaning is often overlooked by newcomers. Many people fail to appreciate the importance of this statement and the phrase will ring hollow, which is unfortunate.

I agree, of course, that it is good to inform young members about all the risks of keeping coins on centralized exchanges and other services, but it is even more important that they understand all the risks associated with holding their coins. What good is it if they have their keys but are unaware of the importance of keeping them safe? We have had numerous examples of naive and inexperienced users entering private keys on various sites and forms, only to lose their coins to scammers. The point is, no matter how hard we try, some members are impossible to save if they don't make the effort to learn about all possible threats on their own.
1777  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WBTC vs BTC on: November 12, 2022, 08:24:13 PM
If you're a casual trader, WBTC has some advantages, especially when using DEXs and DeFi stuff, but if you're someone who wants to hold for the long term, it's definitely inferior to investing in the real bitcoin.  I think the same thing applies to stablecoins, although they have their purpose sometimes, it's always good to remember what happened recently with Terra Luna and their TerraUSD. They were one of the largest stablecoin issuer and one day they just disappeared with everyone's money.

When you think about it in long term, do not think about it just 3 years, think about it in 30 years, does that still look small to you? In crypto I always think about it in 30 year terms, for all of my investments and if it doesn't look good after 30 years in my head, then I stop using it completely.
30 years in the future? That doesn't make a lot of sense to me, i can't even tell if a Dollar Or EUR exist in 30 years. And Bitcoin is under 14 years old, so there's no way to see how any crypto is doing even in 10 years. It could be totally whole new game with new kind of "crypto".

You're right, it doesn't really make sense to use time frames of 30 years or more. I don't look at my crypto investments for such a long period. Any investments (like everything else in our lives), can go up or down, same with trading and investing in cryptocurrency, but I don't want to be holding coins for years and years. The more volatile your investment is, the shorter the period of time you are going to want to invest. When I think about long term, I consider other investments, like real estate or gold.
1779  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto exchange wars going on... FTX vs Binance on: November 12, 2022, 06:15:12 PM
I just read something interesting about the relationship between Binance and FTX. I didn't know that the feud began way back in 2019.

https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1173418810918916096

Apparently, that crash was caused by Alameda Research triggering stops on Binance's brand-new futures exchange.

Quote
Bitcoin Manipulation Abatement LLC has filed a $150 million lawsuit against crypto derivatives exchanges FTX and trading firm Alameda Research LLC—which shares its CEO with FTX. The lawsuit, filed Sunday and amended Monday, alleges that the CEO and multiple employees twice unsuccessfully tried to manipulate Bitcoin prices on cryptocurrency exchange Binance.

It appears that SBF has been a bad player in the crypto industry from the very beginning.
1780  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet999.io - The global leader in crypto gambling! on: November 12, 2022, 04:26:33 PM
You are welcome to the world wide Bitcoin discussion forum. When I visited the site, I really like the features of the site, I will also advise you to buy a copper member and create a good looking ANN thread like the site here. And also meet a manager for more advertisement campaign where your site will cause more traffic and population custom. You casino site is nice.

I have also visited the site and it is true that the display and some of the games presented are also quite varied, I have created an account there, hopefully their team can pay for promotions and advertisements that will make this gambling site much more developed in the future..

I don't think they are that serious about promoting their casino here, its been two days there are already a lot of questions but OP or the representative is nowhere to be found, if they are serious they will log in hours after they posted their announcement here, they will be very active in shilling their casino and will to prove that they deserve their claim that they are a global leader although I doubt if they can prove that they are a global leader in Crypto gambling.

It seems that they are relatively new to the casino business. According to their Twitter feed, the beta version of their casino platform began only in September. That's not enough time to build a solid reputation. However, they'll need to do more to stand out from their competitors, who are also looking to stake a claim in the evolutionary world of crypto gambling.

@Bet999.io, you'll need to offer something unique or special in order to attract players who are used to having many options available.
