Try Playing with different rigs at http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/467edee567

You can change electricity price cost and hash rates when you start mining etc
this is  free power BTC always goes up 2% a month a 0% fee pool
just about everything is going your way and it still never pays off.

on the other hand I thinks its more fun that soda popcorn and a movie and cost less at full price.

U.S. Mail. Old school technology with old school legal protection.  Cool
Govt tracks and maintains records of every parcel, its origin and destination.
True. But reading your mail is harder for the gov than say Internet traffic. The laws regarding mail are from a time when we had more protection from spying. I think it is still true that a letter is much more secure than an email. Similar to the difference between tapping a phone line vs. an Internet connection.  But who knows what the government is up to now. Roll Eyes

use one time pad to write mail and you are set.
1787  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [LEGAL] 30gh/s MinerD Botnet ? on: September 26, 2013, 04:20:09 PM
CPU mining? Just ask your IT department to give you five bucks and save the school the terrible electrical and hardware costs.

Seriously, idle computers versus computers mining isn't even near the same resource usage, and you're a terrible person to try to mislead the admin.

e: Jesus fucking christ you're talking about running 250-500 computers into the ground, do you realise the economic and environmental issues?

Not that different than running folding@home or seti@home was?

1791  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New at mining - how to get started on: September 25, 2013, 11:43:34 PM
If you are doing this to make money, don't bother.

If you want to spend less than a new video game to experiment with miners and mining pools, buy one or two USB 333MH/s units and go for it.

I'm having fun with it.

if you don't join a pool the difficulty of finding a block is so high and climbing you may never find one.

Joining a pool will pay you back a little at a time.

Check out http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/dc50e18f73

spending ~$24.00 for a erupter and get it running in OCT with no cost electricity etc you should (not will) make back $14 over the next 5 months after that you won't be fast enough to get enough shares to pay anything.

less than 12 hours left!  Shocked

Dang got this from coinbase.  Cry

Your BTC will arrive on Thursday Sep 26, 2013 around 08:25AM PDT.

Sucks. You have to be Level 2 authorized for instant purchases of BTC.
Its still not instant it can take an hour or so to get to your coinbase wallet then takes at least 6 confirmations before you can send it to another wallet.
I moved a lot in the navy and don't remember every street name I lived at 20 yrs ago so I keep failing the verification quiz.

Hi I'm new here , that's my first post on this forum
Yesterday I found a website that is giving away 0.5 btc just asking to support their campaign against
the government . Within 11 hours I got the bitcoins

This is the website btcdiggercampaign.com

Check it out and if you have any questions just ask me Smiley
Checking it out
on http://wscheck.com/
45.7% confidence level : btcdiggercampaign.com has an average level of confidence. But this is a very new website, so we can't get his reputation, confidence level isn't the real one.
This website is based in Europe
Warning whatever the score of a website you always need to be careful and read our disclaimer.
This website, btcdiggercampaign.com, is very young, less than a year (0 years, 1 months and 19 days).
This website has no Google page rank.
This website has no Alexa ranking.
The home page title of btcdiggercampaign.com is too short, less than 80 characters (Get 0.5 bitcoin Now).
The home page description of btcdiggercampaign.com is too short, less than 100 characters.
The text ratio (difference between text and html code) is poor for this website.
