1401  Economy / Service Discussion / Any demand for Lighting Fixtures? on: November 15, 2013, 06:44:02 PM
I work in the IT dept of a lighting Wholesaler. I'm trying to pitch adding buy with BTC to a website we sell to. But since I'm really the only person in the company that even knows what a bitcoin is it's an uphill battle.

This site has brands other than our product but this search gives a good sample
http://lightingzoo.com/flush-mounts/Brand-et2/Brand-maxim?minPrice=0&maxPrice=150&ut=W

I want t try to convince management that bitcoin sales will help differentiate us.

Bought 10BTC for $9.70 back when you use paypal on mygox. Donated to faucets bought a nerdbadge.

Found an old wallet the 2BTC a couple of months ago and got into mining.

How do you solo mine FFC?

Sure download wallet software and install it.
let it sync it's blockchain then shut it down.

go to
C:\Users\{Windows logon name}\AppData\Roaming\FireFlyCoin

then copy paste the code below and fill in with your info remove the {}
Code:
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser={mynewusername}
rpcpassword={mynewpassword}
server=1
daemon=1
rpcport=5534
port=5535
addnode=fireflycoin.com

Save it in this folder as fireflycoin.conf

launch your wallet again

To CPU mine
Click on console button and enter
setgenerate true

To use GPU/USB Erupters
install BFGminer or CGminer and configure for GPU/erupter red/blue fury etc
make the URL: 127.0.0.1:5534
username: {mynewusername}
password: {mynewpassword}

So by the time your done with all this you could be on the pool already.

Pool you get a few FFC every time a block is found (faster then solo)
Solo you more coins less often,

You are not banned. But the IP you happen be using as an exit node is. So as was said select a new identity in tor so you are not using a banned exit node.

Not a good joke.

You know feds just took down SR right?

Bitcoin needs to get away from that negative imagery.

hurr durr I can't take a joke everything is so serious stopthefunandgames

I lol'd OP.  Some people need to brighten up.

Nonone feels sorry for anyone that was involved in drug shit and they lost they money.

I do like the comparisons and the OP graphic is cool.

Ah you are not everyone. I am sorry that someone that just wanted to buy pot lost their money and source.

Any help to install in a Raspberry Pi with Arch Linux?
I would be interested as well.

Blockchain is too large for a 4GIG SD and pi is too slow according conversations on minepeon thread
1418  Other / Off-topic / Re: Signature Help on: November 13, 2013, 05:04:24 PM

1419  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin Mining vs Meth Labs on: November 13, 2013, 07:10:14 AM
Well you could have a SWAT team busting down your door. Homes have been raided on nothing more that 'excessive power use' and 'suspicious hot spots seen on IR'

Of course they are thinking they are busting a grow house so you probably won't get arrested. But if you have a dog there is a very high chance it will be shot.
