Might as well be afraid of buying Tide laundry detergent. It is often used in poor areas as barter for drugs.

I was hoping that at current dif and expected rises I would be able to make at least 75% of cost the rest I write off as the fun of mining learning new configurations and new equip etc. I have usb erupters on a Ras PI, blue furies on PC (I paid too much for them).

Was hoping to put one of these on a openWRT router. oh well maybe a blade

Hoplefully then you may have sent it to yourself but not at the right place. check any/all exchanges you have accounts at.
1450  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Isn't bitcoin worth nearly $300 per coin? on: November 08, 2013, 12:29:36 AM
most of the coinbox faucets have a link to another coinbox faucet you can follow that chain quite a while. also do some searches of these forums

Thanks that is a lot better. But I guess since it was TX fee I'd get part of it back as block reward. Tongue

I do like the dashboard and layout of this kind of pool. so come on people give it a try.

Faucets?

Mining on your CPU/GPU is like digging the grand canyon with a spoon and you are in a race with people that have fleets of earthmovers.

You can dig but you are better off trying faucets. Do some searches here for lists.

Tahe the amount of money you send going to one movie with soda and popcorn, and buy that much in BTC every week instead.

Don't pay a lot of attention to how much BTC went up or down over the last day or two. Week over week it will grow plenty.

depends on where you are. In the USA with a coinbase account you can cash out BTC and it will deposit USD into your bank account. You do need to setup and confirm the account which is a lot like doing it for paypal
1454  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: FireFlyCoin Launched! on: November 07, 2013, 08:57:14 PM
Ouch High TX fee for payout. Make sure to set your auto payout rather high.

No problem after making that adjustment.

1456  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: I wana snap my Pi in half and forget I ever saw it... on: November 07, 2013, 04:42:20 PM
Sounds like you are on the right track You need to set the wifi encryption protocol to be the same as the router. You might try the closes one to WPA 1-2 Passphrase. I'm just starting on this so I don't remember the exact entry and can't log into it right now.

I hope they just misjudged the price they can change and lower it. But it might be they have high expenses to cover in which case they are in a world of hurt.
1459  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: I wana snap my Pi in half and forget I ever saw it... on: November 07, 2013, 03:36:36 AM
just for testing turn encryption off on your router and Pi see if it will connect that way if so then make sure you match protocols for enycption

also do there devices connect to the router?

I would rather have them as a collectible coin for barter than have this be a devcoin.

I don't see any reason it should be that low anyway.
