Whew, after searching for that thread where someone told me that I can get red paint by calling people "Sir/Ma'am". I've found out and recalled me that @Welsh is the one who told me that.
Having said that your posts seem fine, however your likely to get painted with the same brush by a few people if you keep addressing everyone as "sir".
I'm glad that @Welsh told me that earlier, I'm afraid that I might have Red paint by now. What a relief.
Ps. Thanks for @mdayonliner's tutorial on how to quote locked topics.

just assume that all of us here are dumbass nerds sitting in their mom's basements, spending hours on trying to improve a spamfest forum, and live with a family that doesn't understand how bitcoin works.
I don't need to assume, I'm one already  Grin
183  Other / Meta / Re: Moderator please stop this spammer ( Added new ) on: September 02, 2018, 03:39:45 AM
1. The mods didn't ban him and just only deleted all of his spam posts (which is bad because he could repeat his bad habit again, who knows?)
Nope, I think that account was already banned by now. All of it's posts are deleted because Moderator nuked it and banned it as well. There's no way s/he can post again except if this user has multiple accounts.

Simply reporting the spammers we can not do anything else,
You're right, that's the only thing we can for now to survive this battle against shitposters.

We need a restriction on registration
I've suggested several ideas about restrictions on registration before but seems like all of those ideas of mine are nothing but stupid. Putting restrictions in registration won't fix the problem except if you're idea is different from mine (it has possibility). What's in your mind about this restriction?

the ability to send messages for new accounts,
I think it's possible to send messages to new accounts. What's with this anyway?
184  Other / Meta / Re: Do you have problems with login on Bitcointalk with the captcha on: September 02, 2018, 03:24:22 AM
What kind of browser are using using? If it is TOR then there really is some issues about solving captchas, please refer to this discussion "Incorrect captcha" with Tor, getting worse?. I used TOR sometimes and it really gives me a problem with the capcha that's why I'm just using a Google Chrome for now. I recommend you to just use another browser like Chrome or Firefox when browsing Bitcointalk (if you don't know how to fix the problem) and make sure that you enable the java script of your browser.

If you want to be anonymous in web, try using VPN. But sometimes VPN's are also the reason why this problem persist.

Also, please use the "Search" function of the forum next time when you're about to create a thread. You can find multiple threads about this problem.

Another Pajeet Nagesh021 vs PEEMAN ( TMAN ) is seems like about to start with these two guys if they continue what they're doing. You should stop it guys, you're leading to a off-topic discussion. You two are messing up the thread, how about make a thread in reputation so then you guys can continue your personal quarrel.

OP, sorry for posting off-topic.
186  Other / Meta / Re: Why redirect on specific board after submit a report from patrol? on: September 01, 2018, 03:34:40 PM
I also found it annoying when I started reporting recently. I'm just using a mobile phone and it's really annoying to press back and wait (due to slow loading of Bitcointalk because of poor Internet connection) and sometimes it made me think about the same idea of yours. But lately, like those other replies, I've found out that long pressing the "report to moderator" link then open in new tab makes it easier when reporting. I don't know the reason why it redirect us to the board when reporting successfully instead of the thread /page where we report a posts.

But anyway, Opening in new tab really saves time. What a relief.

theymos is having a blast in his head after seeing all those suggestions and stuffs from last few days LOL
He needs a 4 weeks long holiday  Tongue
Yuph, the reporter badge isn't even released yet.
187  Economy / Reputation / Re: Diagaran2? on: August 30, 2018, 12:26:45 PM
I would more likely agree if Dig Bicks is the one who is having any relation with digaran.

Is it only me or someone else is also noticing that digaran is not much active on the forum like he used to.  Undecided
I've noticed it too. I'm starting too miss our troll buddy  Tongue I checked his "Last Active" and he's active today "August 30, 2018, 11:54:53 PM". Seems like he is pretty quiet these days.
188  Other / Meta / Re: Shit posts police on: August 30, 2018, 12:09:43 PM
Mods have other attributes, I was thinking more of a subordinated person to mods.
Hmm, I'm starting to fully like the idea. Mods should have at least have their own subordinates like 2 subordinates every Mods or more (depending on how many they want as long as they can handle). Well you only got my and mdayonliner's opinion. Let's wait for other member's and Moderator's feedback about your idea. I hope they find you topic interesting as it is right now for me.

But what I'm thinking is should Moderators pay their subordinates for doing their job to help them from their task or it's just a voluntary? Of course, somehow those who will be selected as subordinates will ask for benefits for sure. But who knows if voluntarily will be just fine.
189  Other / Meta / Re: Shit posts police on: August 30, 2018, 11:44:26 AM
Why not just active the delete button for others post? We can delete the posts which we do not like  Grin
Another abuse will rise up if that happens  Tongue

OP, well I somehow agree to your idea than to mdayonliner  Grin
I think it's a good idea to grant some trusted users to have the feature where they can freely delete any spam replies they see to somehow help our Mods but the problem is, it will defeat the reason why we have Mods.

I said only for hand selected users, which means only trusted ones that use their brains and don't go on personal vendetta's.
One problem is, even though a user is trusted, there are still some possibilities that s/he deletes a post that s/he just don't want or something personal or s/he personally hates the user who posted it. It too hard to pick who to trust nowadays, but I still got some members that I fully trust.

Also, if I were about to get selected to be one of these members who will help Mods to delete spams, I think I will refuse if our title will be "shit posts police".
190  Other / Meta / Re: Why locking threads which are actually helpful? on: August 30, 2018, 11:28:56 AM
There is one more thing that you can do about is that can reduce the risk of a thread getting locked. You need to tell people to make the thread as a self moderation thread and the OP must be active to fight the spam in their own thread.
Actually, two of theyoungmillionaire's thread which are included in those topics that has been locked are self moderated and still, there is no chance of getting unlocked or not locked and I'm pretty sure that the reason why theyoungmillionaire is self moderating his threads is to avoid unwanted replies from spammers.

Until now, I really don't know the main reason why our Mods locked it.
✔️Useful
✔️Informative
✔️Self Moderated
But locked. They should have at least tell us the reason. Locking it because it's not a Bitcoin or crypto related topic isn't a valid reason IMHO. Our Mods are not even cooperating with some improvement ideas in our local board  Sad
191  Other / Meta / Re: Expiry date for topics? on: August 30, 2018, 10:33:59 AM
Just some clarification here.
1. Is the expiry date you were talking about is activated by default or OP need to put an expiration date for the post/thread?
2. Expiration date for posts?
Should there be an expiry date for posts, after which the are locked or archived?
Do you mean thread? Because posts can't be locked.
If yes then it's a bad idea. Just imagine, let's assume that there is a expiration date for a thread then how about those threads that were useful and having an ongoing discussions like this one Merit & new rank requirements? Then it will be locked after a certain period of time even though there are people discussing something. Hmm bad idea.

Scrolling through there are so many posts with repeated replies, and some other posts which are giving wrong information
The best thing you can do to get rid of posts like these is to hit the "Report to Moderator" button in those posts which are useless that you were talking about.

193  Other / Meta / Re: Show new replies to your posts on: August 30, 2018, 12:11:28 AM
You called me a SIR? Out of everything else?

WHY? What did I do to you? I don't even manage campaigns man....  Cry

I apologise about Navl_027 pugman, he is a Filipino and Filipino can't really avoid calling other people usually strangers a "Sir". It's a way of respecting other people here and we Filipino are used to it. Actually I was also like Navl_027 before who repeatedly call anyone Sir/Ma'am, but someone scared me that I can get Negative Trust for calling anyone Sir or Ma'am  Grin Sorry for the off-topic OP.

194  Other / Meta / Re: Anyone having error 504? on: August 29, 2018, 10:19:26 AM
I'm also having the same error and I guess everyone's experiencing the error too. Maybe Admin is up to something?

It's always showing when something's happening. Get used to it  Tongue
195  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: MOST POPULAR USERS IN THE PHILPPINE LOCAL BOARD on: August 29, 2018, 10:02:53 AM
After reading the whole thread, I thought you were applying for Merit Source hehe. Anyway thanks for mentioning my name, I'm so honored. I'm not as good like those other members mentioned above who's doing good threads to share knowledge, information and etc. What I'm just doing is pushing our reputation up as I believe that we Filipino doesn't really deserve to be dragged down by other countries and proving that there are still some chances left to change our community. I may not be able to share something but as your fellow citizen and as a Filipino, I will be your guide and shadow to support our community.  I'm the one who will seek for solutions and answers for the problems we're experiencing here in our local and I'm always ready to put it into the court anytime. But of course I still need some help from you guys.

I'm just a simple member of this forum and doesn't really deserves to be honoured as I'm just doing my part.

Actually, just like what @insanerman said. I'm also a shitposter before and I admit that. You can check my posts from the beginning (when I was just a newbie) and some of them are really trash. But still, I'm not deleting them as they will serve as a proof that not all shitposters will stay shitposters forever. The one who enhanced and forced me to improve myself is @actmyname. I'm sure that some of you hates him as he is a very strict person when it comes to posts but I'm really grateful that I had a chance to encounter him in this forum.

For those who were posting spams and nonsense posts. I'm telling all of you right now (hope you wouldn't missed this). It's not too late to change, if I were you, I will spend the rest of my time improving myself as it is also for our own benefit.
196  Other / Meta / Re: New feature implementation @theymos on: August 29, 2018, 09:17:32 AM
Well that sounds good but I don't think theymos will entrust the task to other members like Mods and Staff or devs etc. as it is a serious matter. But if he does well that's a good news. AFAIK, only Admins are responsible and capable for any implementation in the forum, they just ask ideas from Mods and other members then they're the one who's doing the implementation and it really takes a lot of time (if I'm not mistaken). I like your idea buddy but I really don't think that theymos will just entrust the job that easily. Because if he can, he should have done it before.

Well, I'm not a hundred percent sure about what I've said but it's what I think is right.
197  Other / Meta / Re: Show new replies to your posts on: August 29, 2018, 09:00:46 AM
I am doing it the hard way and i think it is only me. I usually check my last post history a day if i am not busy to see if my posts got quoted/replied or not. It takes a long time but i think it os worth it.
You're not alone. I'm also doing the same thing and I like being in the hard way. Actually it's not too hard to check all replies in every threads where I replied. Just being honest here but actually it's a little exciting, seriously.
>_<
It only shows that you're a good spammer buster. Your been searching that keyword since from the start, come on admit it  Tongue

actually this is basic function in other forum
this is a good function for us
hope add to this forum
Sometimes, there are things that we should do manually (in the hard way) and don't just rely on things that will make us lazy.

One solution if anyone having problem about this is to check your posts manually for new replies. I'm used to it and I don't think its too difficult, even kids can do it. Just pay some time, it won't take hours.
198  Other / Meta / Re: New feature implementation @theymos on: August 29, 2018, 08:41:57 AM
As far as I know there is still none of those proposed improvements that were already implemented. As we can see, Admin theymos must be very busy. Let's just imagine why the report badges is still haven't released, it's maybe because he's pretty busy or something so I guess he won't be able to implement even one of those proposed improvements for now. Even though we really need some of those ideas, we can't do anything but to wait for Admin's update.

I like some of those ideas in that thread you've mentioned by hilariousetc, and if ever that Admin will apply even two of those proposals. Then my vote is for "1 Merit required to rank up to Jr. Member" and "Completely remove signature to Jr. Member and Newbie rank". This will surely change the Forum.

If there is a plan to implement these, maybe we can create a Kanban board and sort them by priority (=number votes given out by users).

What do you think?
Hmm, no comment. I'll leave the answer to other members.
199  Other / Meta / Re: Thread comparison between Beginners and serious discussion on: August 28, 2018, 03:57:18 PM
That' s due to the difference between the "quality" in both boards.
That's absolutely right. If we will just compare the topic made in Serious Discussion and Beginners&Help, even though the topic made in B&H received more replies than the one in Serious discussion, it's pretty obvious that most replies in B&H were absolutely trash. There's no doubt that some from those users just used the opportunity to post for their posts count. Though, I've read some posts that were relevant to the topic.

Also another reason is, there are only few user who were visiting Serious discussion unlike B&H which become a perfect hangout for spammers.
200  Other / Meta / Re: "Trust" system is shit !!! "Trust me !!!" on: August 28, 2018, 03:33:46 PM
A Positive Trust is given when someone made an honest act or someone made a good transaction and etc. to a particular member which shows that the person who gave +Trust trusts the one who received it, but doesn't mean that the person who received Positive Trust won't do something stupid. That's why it is still much better to just "don't trust anyone" except if that member is a very reputable and trusted by a lot of members.

Trust system were really working fine as it is right now but the problem is there are bunch of people who were abusing it just the same with the Merit System.

So you were scammed a few months ago? Why did you just posted it today? You should have reported it here or in Scam Accusation right after you were scammed. I'm just wondering why it's already months too late before you came up to this topic. Additional bad news is you forgot the guy's username as it's a long time ago.
To be honest I would say that owners of this forum are not doing good job .
Oh boy, you're mistaken.
Edit.
The trust system is meaningless when green trusted accounts can be sold, and the trust is transferred to the new owner.
Well, that's right. I'm just about to add but you really are hundreds of steps before me  Tongue
