189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: November 08, 2016, 06:13:08 PM
Bitcoin fees are a lot less than visa/Mastercard feees. But I agree a bitcoin only store would not work. what needs to happen is not a store that takes bitcoin but a way that any store that wants to can add bitcoin like they can add creditcards, or american express. just add a bitcoin accepted here sticker next to all the cards accecped

It would be good to have a bitcoin shop on big cities as this would increase the people's attention and would buy something.
Besides this I think that also other altcoins would contribute to this shop by having a sector of their altcoin shop inside.
The first thing to consider is what is the use of all online or other stores will accept bitcoin. After the purchase will do only those users that are relevant to cryptocurrency, and the rest have only real money.

I see not how a shop for bitcoins could be profitable.
It would take a lot of fees to make it work, and I really do not think anybody would pay those.
Online exchanges can be used withe every smartphone, so I highly doubt that a real shop can be competitive with those.

This is a good non tech overview of what is anon tech and how it works
http://cryptocereal.com/navs-new-white-paper-the-cheat-sheet/

the white paper is the details
http://www.navcoin.org/files/navtech-whitepaper-beta-v0.9.pdf

is there a updated one? or should it be renamed it's not beta anymore.

Just a reminder that NAV can be traded on Bitsquare.

You can link your offer to a % of current Poloniex price or a fixed amount

like polo price - 2% or .00005900BTC/NAV with linked price you don't need to delete and remake offers

Also this is not a central server your BTC or coins are kept in your local bitsquare app until actual trade is made.  No one can 'hack' or use  owner access to steal coins. TX is P2P over TOR  my Bitsquare app talks to your app. With Tor ISP monitoring of usage is much harder.

You can use anontech to fund bitsquare NAV account
192  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Accidentally sent BTC to USDT address on: November 04, 2016, 06:23:44 PM
Troll box is an open chat Poloniex is hosting.  unless the account is official poloniex account it means as much as what we say here. (somewhat helpful but not definitive)

I have Accidentally deposited BTC from my wallet to my poloniex USDT wallet address there a way i can get back my coins? I have already opened the support ticket which has not been answered yet but the Mod on their troll box is saying that recovery is not possible
Poloniex will definitely fix this.  Those bitcoin are not lost.  The troll box was probably just some asshole messing with you.

How can you tell that troll box is just messing with him, Poloniex is today a big exchange with responsible in crypto market, I dont think that they will just be making messing with any clients as this will hurt their reputation.

There is a bounty http://navcoin.org/bounty if you can can successfully trace a transaction routed through the NAV anonymous network. To be eligible to receive the bounty, we have to be able to reproduce your findings. If you think you've cracked the code, email your results to navbounty@gmail.com.

send NAV with anontech to faucet as an example
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was made illegal by your government would you still use it? on: November 04, 2016, 05:39:14 PM
Yes like there druggies make new versions that are legal until the law catches up we may need to move to new altcoins or till we get to one that is much harder to tell if used.

196  Other / Archival / Re: Do you agree with idea "Bitcoin bank" ? on: November 03, 2016, 08:55:12 PM
Sorry I mean a mining pool that pays out in BTC so they have a bitcoin wallet and many addresses.  just another user that uses bitcoin

If the bitcoin bank is another user like a pool or exchange with multiple sub-users and many addresses etc. no problem. if they say they have control of blockchain with their own miners then it's not bitcoin but bankcoin. like e-coin on Mr Robot TV show. (E-Corp controls it)

They would probably have control on the coins we put their if they really starts a service like this because without that they wont get anything for doing this, governments or authorities mostly do the things that can be of their profit but not for the sake of people.

The best way is renting a safe lock and putting your paper wallet there, so no one will have access to your money and at the same time will be safe because it's on a bank, well everything is about how much you have, I prefer dig a hole in my garden and bury the paper wallet there.
Your definition of bitcoin bank for some kind of "pool" must be mistaken as a pool is often used in " mutual funds" in which a fund manager handles the pool of money in which they invest it in money-market instruments, which in the Bitcoin world is other cryptocurrencies. But remember even though it is handles by a professional the chance of losing money is still there.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - ANONYMOUS TECH. LAUNCH NOV 1 on: November 03, 2016, 08:44:57 PM
There has been some push to get NAV known but I belive they have correctly waited until they can PROVE anontech works that it's live and in use. instead of ovehyping before it's real.

Since Navtech has been out 2 entire days most of which the dev team has been catching up on sleep, Marketing is just getting started.

So Spread the word, bring it up where it makes sense in other forums. Coinpay has way to vote using BTC to have NAV added to their payment system

https://www.coinpayments.net/vote

I bought some votes so here is something all of us can do.

Join bitsquare forums get the software and buy and sell some NAV on it,mention in the forums NAV is why you are there.

Make anon donation to the nave faucet http://navcoin.org/faucet as a demo to others.

it needs funds it run dry pretty fast so somebody is using it. Make a youtube of the demo

First of all congratulations to the DEV the effort and great design. But here's a constructive criticism. If the NAV is a major currency that has huge edge over the others because it has not raised its value to the level it deserves? Answer: is missing invest in MARKETING. If you have a great product and investors have not enchergaram that's missing. No use getting killing projects and no one exergar it. I think it's frustrating to see someone pórpios DEV dump to burn NAV. Everything is balance see more affection NAV marketing to make 10% of ZEC marketing NAV would already be in another level of value.

Do we send you a PM so we get a BTC address to send payment?

you might want to play with a open bazaar store. but it's only online when you are running your app. So putting it on a Raspberry PI or a hosted server is good idea.

199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin was made illegal by your government would you still use it? on: November 02, 2016, 03:43:08 PM
Depending on how hard the government tracks down users I might switch to an altcoin.

NAV can synch and stake over tor so no obvious crypto coin traffic can be seen at ISP. Also has anon transfer so even if government searches blockchain they cannot find out address I sent or received NAV from.

If bitcoin is banned in many countries it will just make that altcoin or an even more secure and secretive one be used.
