181  Economy / Economics / Re: Is America a failed nation? on: July 20, 2018, 12:48:46 PM
The people who voted no must be living in super duper deluxe countries who are at the top of the chain... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS IT BAD TO CHOOSE BITCOIN AND BITCOINTLAK FORUM OVER MY GRADUATION CEREMONY? on: July 19, 2018, 01:29:24 PM
I am just thinking, are you doing a daytime trade? If not, why missed that important moment of a student life. It so sad to see that pic, they looked so happy. Its like im in your situation regreting this. I just cant understand the logic of it. Its a good thing that have my moment in the stage accepting my diploma. I am not saying yout dedication to cryptos is bad, but maybe i think you must prioritize things that will be your lifetime memories.

To each his own, I didn't care that much about mine either. You do what you gotta do to reach your goals.

Why would they think you're scamming people though?
183  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has really come back? on: July 19, 2018, 01:25:56 PM
Be reminded of 2013. That was a long slow crash. Price didnt even hit that high again until 2017. While some believe the market is different now and the correction will happen faster this time. Nobody/ very few really know. Could be back in a bull market now. Could be the middle of a long cold crypto winter. Do your research.

The market in 2013 was a lot less populated then it is now, I think recovery will definitely be faster each and every time.
184  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do older people like investing in Gold/Silver? on: July 18, 2018, 01:47:34 PM
I think they see these as the real asset that do not depreciate with time, so they feel more secure about it. And their generation is use to the gold and silver as been the real valuable asset of security.

Not just old people who want to invest in gold and silver, including young people because this kind of asset is very valuable it increase every now and then its value never depreciate always increasing, and yes its real asset.

Gold and silver have been a constant in everyone's life's, unlike bitcoin which is therefore considered less safe or even deemed unsafe by some.
185  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Jeff Bezos will beocme a trillionaire? on: July 18, 2018, 01:43:04 PM
I doubt he will reach trillionaire status.

But never say never Wink
186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: South Korea to Relax Crypto Norms on: July 18, 2018, 01:37:46 PM
South Korea's citizens participating in Cryptocurrencies has been well known in the Bitcoin world for such a long time now that it is almost impossible for the government to curtail nor even ban the development and the entrance of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in their citizens affairs. And that is a good sign.

Governments can make things pretty nasty for people who want to convert from or to crypto, so I can only take this as positive news.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What factors scare others from investing into bitcoin? on: July 18, 2018, 01:31:47 PM
Besides the volatility, I think the big coverage of hacks in crypto by the media scare new people off, while bitcoin itself is actually very secure.
188  Economy / Economics / Re: Is NOW the best time to buy or enter in bitcoin? on: July 17, 2018, 12:38:05 PM
Now is the best time to buy. The day you have the funds is the right time to buy. This way, you wouldn’t have any regrets on why you didn’t buy that day, week or month. No more what ifs.

When you buy is when you see an opportunity (i.e when you think the price is low enough), it's not dependent on how much cash you have readily available.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BTC is not adapted into business?? on: July 17, 2018, 11:48:58 AM
I always wondered what is the problem for BTC to be finally adopted in the wide range of business, I was expecting at least a great adaption in the online business but even so, what stops business from adapting BTC, the volatility? The low rates of adoption? Or maybe a lack of propaganda? BTC is so great and I really wish I could use it in more places IRL!

The companies that do look into it or even integrate it have to deal with a lot of volatility, and micro transactions are sometimes not doable due to network fees. It's just not really there yet.
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Send ETH to receive bounty token! on: July 16, 2018, 11:07:21 AM
These projects are managed by extremely prestigious managers such as needmoney .. ->
Have you ever noticed that a greater part of bounties managed by the Legendary "needmoney" last for more than 10 weeks (I've seen milestones like 14, 16, 17, 30 weeks).
Isn't that suspicious when a bounty campaign takes like 3.5 - 7.5 months?

I am definitely not trying to abuse anybody and feel sorry in advance if the above statements looked too subjective.
But personally I have made my own conclusions long ago on whether one should waste his time on projects that make their community work for half of a year without a decent reward.

People who agree to manage scam projects/bounties like this should be avoided at all costs.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steve Wozniak: Bitcoin is mathematical on: July 16, 2018, 10:51:33 AM
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak: “Bitcoin is mathematical. I am a mathematician. There are only 21 million. It is more legitimate than other systems”

What do you think about that?

Nice one,  but with guys like this you never know, you can probably hear him say the total opposite next week.
192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to have bitcoin shortage? on: July 16, 2018, 10:44:47 AM
I do not think that bitcoin will be enough if the whole people around the world will going to buy bitcoins. There will be too much shortage on bitcoin supply and this will lead also to have an expensive market price for bitcoin. As we all know that there are billions of people around the world and bitcoin supply is only limited. So meaning to say in the near future there will be a shortage for bitcoin supply and thus will lead to create another dominant coin like having ether as one of the possibilities that it will be the next to bitcoin. As of this moment i am seeing this already closely to happen. What do you think?

Not everyone will need 1 bitcoin.
Bitcoin is divisible down to 8 decimal places. We could even go 16 decimals (or whatever) in the future, it will be enough.
193  Economy / Economics / Re: The Reason For Creating a New Cryptocurrency? on: July 15, 2018, 06:46:51 PM
It should be about ideals, trying to improve on crypto.
Unfortunately I believe most coins that release now are made out of greed.
194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I hate miner preference! on: July 13, 2018, 11:38:23 AM
I mean sure I see the sense in the miners making more profit from bigger transactions but to not have a solution for smaller transactions to date just boils my blood in anger.

the thing that should make you angry is that you still don't know how bitcoin works!
nobody cares about the size of your transaction* (be it big in byte-size or amount). what they care about is the fee you are paying for that byte-size. you can send $10 million worth of bitcoin with the same fee as you send a $0.10 worth of bitcoin as long as your size is the same in bytes.
for the past day since price went down and people are buying more bitcoin and selling bitcoin there has been more transactions on chain so the fees have risen a little bit. for example instead of paying 1 satoshi/byte (or ~226 satoshi for a normal transaction) you have to pay 2 satoshi/byte (~452 satoshi for a normal transaction)!
https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#0,2d
https://coinb.in/#fees

* of course you can't make a non standard transaction with a big size or a transaction bigger than the block size but both of these are off topic.
Thank you for your input. I definitely have a better understanding of how it works now than what I had before. I did make a typo in that statement as I was writing it out of anger and did not double check, my point being is that 21.5 hours had past before I received my rewards. Bit annoying when you need the funds ASAP and the exchange you withdraw from claims it'll take no longer than 3 to 4 hours. Thank you once again.

It's understandable that you don't want to wait for 20 hours, if you had some more knowledge beforehand this wouldn't have happened though.
Ah well live and learn Wink
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a "private" currency? on: July 13, 2018, 11:35:51 AM
Bitcoin is not exactly illegal, but it is very difficult to use in a legal manner, and most utilizations will be questionable, if not actually illegal. However, I think the concern about governments shutting down currency is a red herring, at least regarding the US government, which actually subsidized the Ithaca Hours system of alternative currency, via its Vista program. Governments aren’t nearly as emotional about currency as currency geeks think, and the issues they have are much more situational than philosophical.

Trading, cashing out btc, accepting btc, paying with btc, all perfectly legal manners to use bitcoin are they not?
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Overtake Popular Cryptocurrency Bitcoin In India on: July 13, 2018, 11:33:52 AM
Don't bother, ripple is shit.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sirius A New Smart Chain Freely Distributed on: July 13, 2018, 11:30:54 AM
They are still active on slack/telegram and the dev's are not the only Who are buying,  proces are very good at the moment to buy some more SIRX

Do they ever mention why they never go to the ANN thread? I might have to go to the slack.

I hope it's not a matter of being like defiant.

There is not much going on in slack, I know some people are saying slack is very active but that's not really true either.
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the massive creation of Altcoins can be stopped? on: July 13, 2018, 11:28:17 AM
It will never stop, there will always be a bunch of losers who call themselves devs because they can fork someone's git and change some params.
As long as there are people who invest in shitcoins, it will never stop.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is bounty programs to the overall success of icos? on: July 12, 2018, 11:50:59 AM
For the people campaigning it could be useless, bad/no/low rewards etc.
For the project they are campaigning for it's about the best "free" marketing they can get.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook lifted the ban on electronic money and rumors of a buyout of Coinbase on: July 12, 2018, 11:47:12 AM
On one hand it would be a good boost for crypto if they buy CB, but on the other hand I don't really want facebook butting into crypto as well. They are everywhere already.
