It looks like the mempool is getting flooded with transactions. This is what you typically see during a price drop when people start to panic and move their coins to exchanges to sell. That doesn't bode well for the price in the short term, but after the jump we had to buck the market yesterday it isn't entirely unexpected. I shopped in 2011, thanks. And 2102... 13, 14... 15 . well, yeah.. 16... 17 ... well then in 17 I took a trip to hawaii on bitcoin... whoops. But then, in 2018, then 2019, 20, 21. 22.... Do I qualify? Not meaning to be snarky. I just mostly hold my tongue. |

The fact that BTC's price is expressed in USD makes it probably a great flight of safety for many of us here unfortunate enough to have to deal with an even dirtier FIAT system than what the FED has managed to manipulate everyone in the States and well beyond, into using.
I have to hand it to the FED, they are true cocksuckers, but smarter cocksuckers than other central banks.

Bitcoin kicking out blocks ~10:09 minutes each... hashrate near ATH.

This is pretty damn cool, really. Now, for you purists it has some interesting tradeoffs. The Rino people get your view key, so in that regard it is sort of like MyMonero, but this is multisig. So in *THAT* regard is it sort of like Casa, or Unchained. You get 2 keys, they get one. You can integrate 2 factor. Different security model than say Blockstream Green, but similar sorts of advantages. https://www.rino.io/ Actually, I think this will be a sleeper for a while. This kind of availability and featureset would be AMAZINGLY important for all kinds of people. The one Caveat is like MyMonero they hold your view key. So if you are buying drugs... wait. No, that's not a risk. Umm. Well they know what you hold and how much comes and goes. That's it really. (Monero's utility also endlessly undervalued.) |
