That was in Multipool and Fastcoin. So; very low difficulties+big hashrates = orphans I should choose harder coins next time.
Yes, with your hashrate you can easily mine other low-diff (probably diff between 1 and 10) coins with larger blocktimes. FST is known for that kind of problems. If you are looking for a good multipool, i.e. for 42coin (less orphans than other pools), I can recommend Hash to Coins. They don't charge fees and have a good coin selection, you can mine with the autoswitcher or select a certain coin.

I'm running several devices with different miners on my Win7 64 bit machine. Bfgminer, SGminer, CGminer. So no problem at all. It was only a pain til all deviced were setup for the first time.

I got just enough over a coin today. Is That normal for todays difficulty? Right now i am mining in a pool. For hashrate see above.
total hashrate is up from yesterdays 20000 to 35000 to 55000 KH/s today It goes up and down all the time, could be in an hour it drops down to 25.000 kh/s. There are a few big miners who from time to time join and leave. That's why there are some bigger differences in the difficulty and block reward.

Coins with short block times (less than a few minutes) and low difficulties will always generate lots of 'orphans' (stale blocks) before you factor in latency issues. There is a lot that needs to be done in a short time with these very fast coins: - Pool receives work from Coin network
- Pool sends work to miner
- Miner sends work to hardware
- Hardware find solution
- Hardware reports back to miner
- Miner verifies solution
- Miner reports back to pool
- Pool checks solution
- Pool submits solution to coin daemon
- Coin daemon checks solution
- Coin daemon submits to coin network
- Propagation
Between all that you have even more low level logic that adds additional time (TCP/IP handshake, disk access, string parsing, etc..). It's amazing how much happens in a short period of time. Like he said. There are some coins with low block times that cause lots of orphan blocks, like Fastcoin or 42coin. And of course, it also depends on the ratio pool hashrate / network hashrate from a certain coin. With that much hashrate, you better try some other coins or a multipool.

Nope; it was on a different computer that I was using as a test bed (to rule out an possibility that the issue lied with the computer system that the miner was originally hooked up to).
If you have a Raspberry Pi, you could install Minera and let your miner run. Usually no huge efforts to get it running.

I tried using bfgminer, but had no luck. It was closing almost instantaneously (presumably incorrect settings, but i couldn't figure out how they were wrong). Would you be able to zip your folder (removing any personal data, of course) and upload it?
Immediate closing after start usually means that any parameter is wrong or unknown. Can you post your parameter line?

This one is a beast I agree. With the improved miners from wolf0 and Joe I doubled my hashrate but yours gets the most out of my crappy old AMD without the problem with the 2 others that my windows gets problems. Spexx, you're a f*cking genius That deserves some donations! Spexx: 9EQ342ssXSxmpDURs6XNxAajB14DQzJDNX

@others, let us know if you have any idea
Of course I have got some ideas Let's talk when you have some time. Didn't talk to you about as you said you have some stuff to do.

I've just been paid, completely up to date now Thanks for heads up. I confirm, my account was paid, too. Hashrate went up from < 2 PH/s to 2.65 PH/s, so it seems more miners got paid and are back at BAN.

I have installed Ubuntu and bfgminer for my gaw miner falcon 27mhs, the only problem i am having setting up the command line for the device, setup instructions from https://readditing.com/r/dogemining/comments/28y6i6details Bus 005 Device 003: ID 0403:6001 Future Technology Devices International, Ltd FT232 USB-Serial (UART) IC I would be grateful if someone help thank you What's the problem with the command line? Do you have a Raspberry Pie available? You could connect your Falcon via Minera.

Thanks Joe, I had the last few weeks the pressure at work. The situation is better now, so I could share the idea that I discussed with you and developers some time ago... Idea is to build some kind of "Magi price stabilisation project". That's not my idea, I found it somewhere and adapt it.. The project is based on BTC cloud mining (or something like that - LTC, X11). Daily / weekly BTC income from BTC cloud services will be used to purchase XMG on exchanges and to send them to participants (investors) at particular dividend. But unlike the usual purchases at the sale price on exchange, daily/weekly earned BTC will be used to make buy orders with buy price. There is no instantly buying of XMG at sale price. And here come some MagiC: - long-term, BTC income from cloud service is long term, 3, 6, 12, 60 months.. So once invested some BTC in cloud mining provides long term receiving of XMG.. - long-term, "Price stabilisation" builds "buy wall", so Magi price can't drop if someone drop huge amount of XMG on exchange. Participants receive their XMG at buy price.. - long-term, if price go up, and buy orders are not executed, buy orders price will be moved slightly up with the price, that's what is goal of project. Increase of XMG price is what we all want !!
Normally, that is only my idea. Details will be adapted to what the community wants. There are many BTC cloud mining services, some are good some not, some profitable some not, some reliable some untrustworthy, help and experiences of anyone are welcome..
If there is enough interest, I can start with that...
Joe mentioned this idea. In general, it's not a bad one. But I have doubts if cloud mining in the current situation really makes sense. BTC price is low and many established cloud mining companies are in trouble, probably need to suspend their mining contracts when price goes < $200 again. In my opinion it will make sense when the price reaches some level of stability at $300 or even higher.

ROFO should officially announce a team which can do tasks for him. So he has more free time and once in a week they talk together about the progress
Do you really think he's interested? To me it sounds as he is tired of attacks and complaints. I'm new to Nobl but noticed that here are some people doing nothing else than complaining, attacking, sitting on their coins and waiting for ROI. If so, I could understand his mood.

You still remember the marketplace I discussed with you long time ago. Sure I do. As you have a lot of work, I'm gonna start to develop a first demo soon.

Dev,any development plan in 2015?
Any development plan? Although I'm not the dev, I will answer it (he'll be online in a few hours). Please check the OP for more details, search for Timeline. Our standalone payment gateway is currently in beta-testing and will be launched soon. With it, we are independent of any payment processors and allow merchants to accept payments in XMG. Due to this fact, we are currently contacting local companies, webshops and so on, tell them about Magi and ask them to accept it as payment method. Recently some improved mininig software versions have been released by wolf0, Spexx and Joe with the goal to give miners with lower hashrate a better tool to compete with the "big boys" who raised the network hashrate significantly. Although this is a step back, it's necessary to make mining more profitable for the usual miner with a normal hashrate. In general, it's our vision and goal to make mining easier, consuming less energy and ressources. Long-term, we want to achieve that you can mine i.e. with only 50, 60 or 70% CPU usage and still make profit. Furthermore, we're planning a marketplace where people can sell their items and get paid in XMG. Electrum and Android app, donation plugins and P2Pool are more ideas. If you have ideas, let us know. We appreciate any community input.
