I have to admit that they partially right about website and promotion.
It's still a silly criterion for rating cryptos, at least as far as putting it on the same level as usability and solid coding. Just take your time with it and the marketing should do itself. No it won't.

It looks like the price of BBR and Monero are officially relative to each other, coming from my perspective as a trader.
BBR is better than XMR , BBR will be more valuable than XMR +1, but we need more exchange . More exchanges is the least important thing.

We have high expectations for the long term on bitblock. We have not gone anywhere, nor will we go anywhere. Love the hate talk, but seriously, why must the dev always be the one who is a skeezy snake in the grass cheater? actually We feel we are one of the more honest teams out there, people can continue to say we mined blah blah blah X-amount of coins, but truth of the matter is...we did not, anyhow. Glad to see hash is high, and people are enjoying. Will give updates soon on a GPU miner, still in the works.
Stop the lies. You are not honest at all. You took a possibly good idea and destroyed it with your pathetic attempt at deception. You instamined the coin and you know it. You've wasted peoples time and resources which equals money. Go to hell First person to ask will get the 512 coins I mined before I realized this was a complete scam. I don't want anything to do with this bullshit. You gave away 0.1BTC for free ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) .1 btc is nothing. The stench of this coin is sickening though. Edit: put a 0 in front of that 1

So much fud and rumour in this thread spread mostly by one or two people.
well, ive been part of this since near the start, having set up the hashharder pool. Looking at the gradual development of this coin, and the massive support it had since the start i can pretty confidently say that though the blocks have gone very fast owing to the slow retargetting, there were many miners. I dont see evidence that the devs mined then most coins after block 312, but that it was quite fairly proportioned with a solo of individual solo miners first (read the thread back to see post after post of people saying about solo mining etc) then pools.
the lowering of the block reward now should give value to these earlier coins, rather than overly dilute the market, and give this coin chance to grow.
what would be good from the devs is a plan of how they plan to spend the premine and what for. A bit of transparency helps trust a lot.
Are you serious? You're actually defending this coin?

Let me get this straight. This coin was released with no info, crappy ANN and looking like it was written by a 13 year old with ADHD. Within 15 minutes (exactly 15 minutes) there were 334 blocks mined. The block time is 2.5 minutes.
There should have been exactly 6 blocks mined, but there were over 330. And you are all still mining this hunk of crap?
It's hard not to hate this community for being so fucking ignorant and shortsighted. If this "dev" can't even introduce his coin in a mature and professional manner, what are the chances he will be reliable and competent (or dare I say trustworthy)?Coin launched today and already over 2 million mined. It's Darkcoin copy complete with the difficulty re-targeting issue that allowed for the instamine. But apparently all I'm doing is spreading FUD when I point out these FACTS.

No not all were us. A few exchanges were allowed to also pre-mine very few blocks before launch as incentive to exchanging very soon. The server main wallet sits cold with about 50k in BBL that will not be touched or dumped. We will not destroy the potential of a great coin with new hashing algo by just dumping stock instantly...
So you have already paid off exchanges to get listed before officially launching the coin. My suspicions were correct. Oh and the ANN says BLOCK GENERATION 2.5 MINUTES but over 2 million coins have already been mined. Just like Darkcoin instamine Block Approx. I'ts going to the moon. The block times are way too fast but I don't think 2M coins have been mined yet. Like DarkCoin, the block reward reduces as the diff gets higher. It started at 500 and dropped to 277 around block 1000. Current money supply is probably around 1M. At block 4016 it was 500 * 4016 = 2,008,000.

> just make it a quick pump and dump.
Not much of a pump and dump at the moment. Not many mined blocks before launch really when compared to other coins with value. This is a Darkcoin copy with a a few more algo's dropped in
The few more algo's kept this coin from being massively instamined by rented rigs. Though there is an argument that EC2 instances could also be used - they are probably far more costly, and also more complicated to set up. premine that wasn't announced
Granted, the OP thread needs to be re-done. With that in mind, shadow_runner posted the block start about 3 posts in so its quite easy to notice - along with the working block explorer from launch. and a private GPU miner at launch.
Proof? Or just listening to other people making such guesses. There seems to be no such private GPU miner, even on my pool where people are reporting 6mh/s (or whatever the actual hashrate is) - they are submitting a lot of lower difficulty shares, which lends credence to multiple CPU threads such as EC2 instances, rather than one or two powerful (relatively) GPU threads. Now either contribute, or go find some other coin.I'll contribute anyway I want. If that means pointing out flaws then that's what I'll do.

It's too bad that this coin had to be launched this way. It could have done quite well if the time was taken to do things right rather than just make it a quick pump and dump. This is a Darkcoin copy with a a few more algo's dropped in, premine that wasn't announced, and probably a private GPU miner at launch. You even see the Darkcoin logo in the taskbar when you launch the wallet. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs27.postimg.org%2Fp73erq6z7%2Fbbbl.jpg&t=663&c=iKhSR1nAjO3p5Q)

No mining machine ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) What do you mean? They launched the coin with a private GPU miner they didn't tell anyone about.

A 3Ghz intel sandy bridge making 15kh/s per core And top miner has 3MH/s ??!?! These days instamining with pre-rented hardware and/or closed source miners is called fair-launch. Is this BBR/XMR replay?
Thats what i wanted to say before... if every body is having the same hr issue, why top miners not? Probably a GPU miner around that hasn't been posted or a botnet? I hope so, because those are reasonable things. If u want a GPUminer before than everyone, become a programmer, and about botnet... nothing we can do That's correct. But I think this coin was launched with a GPU miner already available to a select few. I think that was the plan and there is nothing fair about that.

We also just looked into p2pool.bitblock.ml:6802 and it DID issue payouts, and collected the mining fee. I am unsure if you guys were having issues with our pool, however I am not seeing them at the moment, at the operators perspective, everything working to spec. Were those mining on our pool getting payouts correctly? We also tested this on the livenet before release. some of those "pre-mine" shares were also used in live testing runs via those two pools and we were able to get payouts according to plan on both of them. Please let us know if you were unable to get payouts via those pools. Thanks EDIT: Actually our main concern was to make sure that everything was working properly. It was the voice of the people actually that put us on that track. I guess if your going to "hate..."hate" ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Well it kind of raises red flags when you don't announce your premine, have no working links to binaries in the ANN, and give absolutely no information regarding what the plans/goals/future for the coin is. But at least we know that you're actively working on getting on exchanges. You should have delayed the launch and focused on getting a real plan in place. Getting on exchanges is only a plan if you are looking to make some quick btc. I was actually interested in this coin at first and managed to get a few block solo mining. But the more I thought about it the more I lost interest. Mainly due to the lack of information you have provided. The coin seems rushed and is lacking the basics that should be included in any ANN. With the amount of crap going on in the altcoin world you should anticipate that your motives might be questioned when you launch a coin the way you did. I guess we'll see how things turn out.

"I have submitted your coin to our development team who will review it to see if it meets our requirements for addition to the Cryptsy exchange. If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know. :-)"
Sincerely, Leah Cryptsy Team Leader
Hey dev, what is the purpose of this coin? Why are you worried about getting on exchanges when the ANN is pathetic, you need to get things in order. People are having issues and asking questions yet all you do is post some correspondence from an exchange. You launched this coin just a few hours ago and your main concern is getting on an exchange. Why is that? All you want to do is dump your premine for a few btc's don't you? Any coin with a dev that is mostly concerned with getting on an exchange within hours after launch is suspicious. Have fun wasting your hash on this coin.

*almost* started to get excited about this coin, until I did a quick Google search and remembered this is the one that Christian @ ccminer is "closed source" GPU mining. He claims to be making 12 BTC per day, and understandably will not open his mining source to anyone.
*** citation needed. I never stated BTCs per day and the BBR exchange rate then isn't the BBR rate now. And the difficulty now is 3-4 times higher as it was then. This has already been debated. Anyone that wants to mine with the GPUminer needs to donate to the Stratum Pool bounty. When that's completed cbuchner1 has stated that he'll open source the miner. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=657484there is already a stratum pool up and running.. http://bbr.extremepool.org supports stratum, there just isn't a stratum miner! So we're just waiting for a cpuminer update for cbuchner1 to dump his GPU code in? That's my understanding. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Found the link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=657484.msg7476159#msg7476159That's what I am going off of.

It's highly likely Mintpal will list BBR within the week or so. They are going to want to get a second note coin up on their exchange.
BBR should be able to breathe a little more being on 3 major exchanges.
Mintpal is irrelevant. BBR doesn't need Mintpal. It needs better pools and miners so that the network is more decentralized. Forget about mintpal. Monero just got listed on Mintpal and it tanked. Mintpal is over rated. I don't understand what the fascination with mintpal is.
