Is there another place to download the Windows wallet other than the mega link?  The link isn't working and I want to move the coins I bought off the exchange.

Thanks

The miner is known to build just fine on various platforms. The problem might be related to you configure options if you used static and or your gcc version (4.4.x is quite dated). Have you tried building with -fPIC

working gcc version on my rig = gcc (Ubuntu 4.8.2-19ubuntu1) 4.8.2

How about a version for us Windows NVIDIA chumps? Now that would be special.

It's available

Is there someone mining darkcoin with an AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0GHz CPU?

If yes, how much DRK can you potentially mine with such a CPU at the moment?

Probably something like .002 DRK in a week.

Scary thing. Woke up and checked Mintpal and XMR was worth more than DRK!  Cry
We need RC5 and open sourcing sometime soon!

Tao

DRK market cap is still 50% higher than XMR. The fact that XMR has been on a bit of a tear of late is a good thing for DRK - shows there is still interest in anonymous altcoins. Some positive news on darkcoin and folks will be buying it up fast.

Ya, it takes more than that to faze me anyway! The current price is meaningless. The future is brightly dark!

Tao

Monero is not a competition for DRK anyway. The word is out that their network is infested with botnets and that's where the hashing power comes from

You cant mine complex algorithms with botnets ...

CPU based coins are mostly mined by botnets. What does it have to do with alghorithm compexity? I don't get your point.

DRK was a CPU coin when it was first launched now there are GPU miners and likely FPGA's .

Monero was a CPU coin when it was first launched now there are GPU miners.

Both DRK and Monero likely have had a portion of the coins mined by botnets at some time.  Both coins now have a majority of mining being done by GPU's.

Donation Drive

We all know how hard the BBR team has been working. Due to their efforts, what is happening in the markets has been made possible. We need to make sure the BBR team can concentrate on improving BBR with 100% of their powers.

Way back earlier this year, I was in the same situation of worrying about money and I was seriously considering getting a real job to pay the bills. Needless to say my productivity would have gone way down and, well I wouldnt be where I am today. When some of the big NXT whales found this out, they gave me a "job" basically to keep doing what I was and they took care of my basic living expenses.

This helped enormously and got me into a superproductive mode.

Now I find that the BBR team is not even asking for more funds, even though they sure can use it. There was no premine and we can all see that the 1% of emmission is not so much. Maybe in 6 months to a year it will be plenty, but until the 1% emission can pay for the basic living expenses of the BBR team, the BBR community needs to chip in. This is just temporary until BBR value is making the 1% emission enough.

Think of the wonderful feeling it will be to see BBR > XMR
This is what is possible. Calculate how much your stack of BBR would be worth if it had XMR's price.

OK, now dig deep and send you support to:
BTC: 1JjGoHdzP5HvtyEZ6MN9LXbh8uTDVgrPY9
BBR: @zoidberg

Wow. I just did the calculation and it felt really good!
I sent in 1 BTC 279df28d7ad464170dd35b2eb4b1b205a5cebaa0b5ad02f9c256f23caced0bc7

James

I really like the way things are going and am glad that I have held onto all my BBR and have been buying while the price was extremely low.  There isn't much I can contribute other than financial support so that's what my contribution will be.

I've donated:

guys just don't buy any ipo from C-CEX their rules suck. any legit coin will choose to pay 1btc extra and pay bittrex to host it. they hold the coins for 3 days and in 3 days cryptoasian can vet them

what is fucked up so many scams lately any legit ICO would not prosper and some of us may be nervous to touch it and then could boom later.

yep - I'd like to see C-cex explain what their vetting/verification process is and what purpose it serves. Why bother?

I'd like to see c-cex repay all the people that lost btc on their crappy exchange a few months ago.  It was something like 70 btc that people lost due to c-sux.  Yet they are still operating, making money, and hosting scams.
1209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: nWoCrypto is a scammer, NWO is a scam! on: August 29, 2014, 02:15:07 PM
C-cex is shit, don't use this exchange never!

c-cex is based in the Ukraine and is not subject to any regulations, oversight, or accountability.

Proof?

Proof of what?  That c-cex is a scam exchange or that you're a naive fool?

I don't understand why you people saying we will start marketing after RC5. Any reason we can't start it now?
People do not care about close source !

They don't?
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | DarkSend+ Is Live! on: August 29, 2014, 01:48:10 PM
I think we're setting ourselves up for more disappointment by predicting price jumps after RC5. The hype is over. The only way we will grow is through adoption and actual use. That means slow growth, but consequently real growth, not just speculative bubbles as we've experienced in the past and other coins continue to experience. We need to break through the pump and dump paradigm. RC5 will hopefully allow for us to begin that process.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: nWoCrypto is a scammer, NWO is a scam! on: August 29, 2014, 12:15:39 PM
C-cex is shit, don't use this exchange never!

Exactly!

C-cex is a scam exchange to begin with.

"c-cex verified"  is worth less than the turd I just flushed down the toilet.

c-cex still owes people btc from months ago that they will never be able to pay off.

c-cex is based in the Ukraine and is not subject to any regulations, oversight, or accountability.  They could shut down tomorrow, keep all the funds in the wallets, and there is nothing anyone could do about it.   Trade their at your own risk.  It's just a matter of time before they claim they were "Hacked" again and take everyones btc.

c-cex = scam exchange

1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: nWoCrypto is a scammer, NWO is a scam! on: August 29, 2014, 03:39:17 AM
is there an ICO that works?

C-CEX, it is your responsibility to track down to the scammer and get full refund to investors!

Don't buy any ICO/IPO. More or less all are scams.

"Verified by C-cex" - C-Cex return all the investors BTC beacuse they bought a coin upon your approval.

Good luck with that.

c-sux is ran by a bunch of scammers.  They still owe a bunch of btc to a lot of people.  Anyone that bought this coin because it was c-scam verified should have known the risks they were taking.  For all anyone knows c-sux is behind the scam.

If you think DarkSend is still limited to 10DRK then you are hardly qualified to give fucking advise.

I was quoting the guide Mangled, which clearly needs an update.

It should have been edited then.
It is everybodies responsibility to make sure that information is correctly displayed.

It just piss's me off everytime I see lies and incorrect info - sorry - maybe I'm just having a bad day - lol

The guide works.  It just needs to be updated to reference the latest binaries.  I am running the latest binaries which is more than I can say for a good portion of those out there.  The latest build is 0.10.12.32.  Update your masternodes you lazy fux.
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | DarkSend+ Is Live! on: August 27, 2014, 06:16:38 PM
Yes that guide...I'm pretty sure I watched him setup the 0 address wallet and transfer the 1k DRK. Would be real nice if some more info on MN setup out there. Something up to date...

The only thing that needs updating with that guide is to change rc3 to rc4.   Everything is the same as far as configuration goes.  Your 1k is broken up....that's the issue.

Bingo. I used that guide just swapping the version numbers to account for the latest build and it worked fine. If you follow it verbatim, you will have a working masternode.

This!

Works like a charm.
1216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DRK] DarkCoin | First Anonymous Coin | First X11 | First DGW | DarkSend+ Is Live! on: August 27, 2014, 05:50:58 PM
Seems like things are moving very nicely, based on Jira. Not sure why the price is so low.
There should be a correction jump in a minute i think. The price is due to a 20k dump last night i believe.

I thought the same thing but movement is slow.  I decided to park 1000 drk back in a masternode until the price rises some more.  It's all profit at this point so I'm in no hurry to sell.  At least I can make a few drk instead of it just sitting on the exchange or in a wallet doing nothing.

I actually am starting to like the masternode concept.  Park your drk after a dump when the price is low and generate revenue.  When the price goes up sell drk.  When the price goes down buy drk and park in a masternode.  Wait for price to rise.  Sell drk.  Wait for price to fall.  Buy drk.  There is always the possibility that the price will never go back up and in that case you will have lost profit.  But when everything you're working with is profit to begin with it's much easier to take those kinds of risks and absorb any potential losses.

Go DRK!  One of the best Altcoin Cash Cow's in history.

If you are planning to inform people to use DRK for "shady" stuff that might flag them in some territories as "illegal" (like gambling which is perfectly legal in one country and illegal in another), you can also advise them to use IP obfuscation, like TOR - until DRK has it's own obfuscation network. It's not only the blockchain that can give one away. It's also the IP.

For NSA, the IP from TOR should be crackable, but for companies like coinbase it shouldn't. A company that needs to be compliant with the law can perform a blockchain analysis (coinjoined coins = problem) or an ip analysis (tor=problem for them) and it'll come empty in both ways so they'll have to accept the coins.

Boom, I just had what alcoholics refer to as "A moment of clarity"...

Now I understand how powerful the additional utility of IP Obfuscation will be for the DPN...

Nice one  Smiley

Yup RC5 is a big deal.

You said the same thing about RC4.  Next you'll be saying "Wait until RC6!  Then to the moon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".

After a few days of peace, a new FUD offensive seems to have begun. My only comment to this is:

In 2014, a crack dev crypto unit was sent to prison by an organised FUD court for a crime they didn't commit.

This unit promptly escaped from a maximum-security FUD stockade to the crypto underground.

Today, still wanted by the POS coin shill's and FUD'sters, they survive as developers of fortune.

If you have a problem... if no one else can help... and if you can find them... maybe you can hire... the dArk-Team.

You seem to be forgetting that someone dumped down to .004.  That's why the price is down.  What you call fud is just people holding drk that are getting frustrated.  Apparently someone holding 20,000+ drk decided to get out.

Don't worry, the price will go back up and people like me will provide liquidity and volume to the market by selling the drk we bought low for a higher price.

To those who still say "the price is cheap since like .019"..."people are so stupid for selling"...I wish I didn't listen to all of you old darkcoin investors, instaminers timers. You are deceivers so is Evan.

Just yesterday I saw that 22k flash then dumped PEOPLE DON'T CARE about value of developing the coin even if it's anonymous and people like you scammers destroy the crypto world for your greed and scams.

I've been saying this for awhile now.  The loudest voices telling people to hold are the biggest dumpers.  These guys are in it for the money.  It's in their best interests to convince people to hold while they dump their drk.

Anyway, I should thank them.  I have been tagging along on their pump and dumps for awhile now.  If it wasn't for them I would be 20 - 30 btc poorer at least.  Thanks guys :-)
