Last year trolling was more DRK-specific. Nowadays trolling is so widespread that it's not even funny. Trolls everywhere, whether it is altcoins or BTC (price discussion thread). And, well, it's easy. You pay 3-4 people a few bitcoins to do just that, day and night. And then there are those who are in it for the hobby, or due to having interest in other investments, who don't even get paid  In a year or so everyone will be emotionally immune to words like "SCAM", "BAGHOLDERS", "DUMP" etc, and the percentage of people using the ignore button will skyrocket. When you starve a fire of oxygen, it will burn out, every time. |

With the amount of trolling here, there's already confusion over the continued existence of 'Dashcoin' but (as per my post over in that thread) they're clearly looking to leverage off this thread's enormous following (by comparison to theirs) and DASH's far great success. Yes, they're 'kids' but they're attempting to ride this juggernaut. True, but at the end of the day there is not a thing we can do about it. We can't stop them from posting their drivel here or there, so it's a waste of energy to try and stop them. In fact, it feeds the fire and may serve to embolden them and add to their resolve. Let's just concentrate on what we have control over. Get the word out that we are Dash and they are Dashcoin, we have more influence, our message will naturally travel further and we will overcome these growing pains. One crazy idea for you guys. We all know that the main vulnerability of Bitcoins, which prevents it from becoming full-fledged money - the lack of fungibility of coins. Fungibility of Bitcoins is spoiled by the fact that each amount contains previous history of operations. And a bad "history-legacy" can be used as a factor of discrimination in the subsequent use of coins (So we can talk about "clean" bitcoins vs "dirty" bitcoins). For example, if you recive coins that were previously stolen, passed through darkmarkets etc. - They in some sense are "corrupted" and you may have problems with their further usage. Dash resolves that vulnerability - darksend mechanism are used to anonymize - clean up the history of previous operations for your DASH. As a result DASH becomes real fungible digital cash (money). So why do not we call processes of anonymization - just a " Cleaning"! It sounds simple, understandable, positive( !) and not as "criminal" as "Anonymization". Thus users will have in their wallets: 1. Standard Dash2. Cleaned Dash3. And " To Clean" button. Even your grandmother would understand this principle and do not have to explain for everybody what is "Anonymization", "Mixing", "Darksend", ... and why is it necessary for ordinary people. "KISS" principle in action - because we need an acceptance of ordinary people. What do you think about it? 250% gain in 3 months not enough for you ? I know the feeling. I've been getting quite frustrated at the lack of a monthly guaranteed 20x from a 0.2 BTC investment. Unfortunately it's not 2014 anymore and the markets have wised up. You could always try Vanilla Coin - 300% in about 48 hours (but then lost it in the next 2). Crave ? Pick a cryptonote ? Bet on which one's going to get its GUI wallet first ? I hear Dime's next in line for a pump. Damn iam starting to lose my fath in this coin  I have been holding it over one year now an I have paid a lot more than the value of the coin now I only have 2 masternodes but I got a feeling this will not go anywhere in like one more year :/ mabye I will sell one of my mn on Friday ill will do it if the price drops more than this... Pm me if u are intrested in buying it Dude, this is no get rich quick scheme! Most Masternode holders such as myself have a long term vision for this coin. What Evan has accomplished in a year is nothing short of remarkable, and it's scary to think what he can accomplish with help in the future. We are barely scratching the surface of MN potential. Can we get a cool video like Shadow? I believe it will help people understand how Dash works.
Having the professional voice over reader say "It's a lot more faster" is my favorite part. I was only trying to point out that Shadow managed to get a nice vid up. Whats holding us back? The promo video hasn't been forgotten, just sidetracked by the rebranding. When we establish our new identity a bit more (logos, etc.), we will begin to produce the video. It shouldn't be too far into the future. |
