I have the impression the technology is pretty amazing too from all the hype from the media. But when I think deeper, I cannot find its usefulness. When something is not useful, how can it be amazing? You cannot be thinking very deep. How is it not useful? I'd say the technology is pretty amazing, and will only get better. I had thought that it was useful from all the media hype. But really, I cannot find good examples of useful objects that have been created from 3D printing. If you know some of them, please name them. You could make spare parts for machines that aren't in profuction any more. I'm sure people will build their own cars with them etc. As Guybrush said, their potential really is limitless. Well, unless you want to make a football .

I'd hardly say Saddam was democratically elected.
I didn't meant that. I said that, for the US Saddam Hussain was a democratic ruler until the late 1980s. Or better, the Americans viewed Saddam as one of their best allies. They even gave him weapons to fight the Iranians. However, in the late 1980s he became an oppressor for the Americans, after he ignored their pleas to export more oil. What do you mean by democratic ruler? Saddam and America were very pally with each other. USA usually is friends with tyrants, until they do something that isn't in their business interests.

They'll paint anyone they don't like as an oppressor.
Well.... in some scenarios, an oppressor can become a democratic ruler (provided he suddenly agrees to follow the orders of the US). Example: Saudi king. In some other scenarios, a democratic ruler can suddenly become an oppressor. Example: Saddam Hussain. I'd hardly say Saddam was democratically elected.

It should do, but you'll have to wait four hours before you can post in there.

Tell me do you or did you used to watch Star Trek the Next Generation or the Matrix? Which one?
I'm a fan of the first Matrix, not seen much Star Trek.

http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2013/dec/30/michael-schumacher-doctors-update-condition-accidentPeople can make remarkable recoveries from terrible head injuries and I hope so much that with such quick treatment and the best knowledge from the best people in that field of medicine that he will be one of the lucky ones. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
And sometimes they don't. My mate's GF has been in a coma for nearly two years after a cycling accident. Such a sad situation. It's like grieving for somebody who isn't dead yet.

I loved The Hobbit as a book when I was younger but haven't read it in many, many years.
LOTR, on the other hand, I tried to read a couple of times but found it way too dry for my liking. An entire page dedicated to describing a tree might be great for some (which I respect), but it's just too much for me.
Haha, I was wondering if my bro was exaggerating or not about this. I'd like to read them, but I've just got so much on my to read list and so little time.

Ukraine has become more or less of an ego issue between Putin and Obama. Ukraine is a broke nation. It is deep in debt and anyone who takes it in, will have to pay billions of USD to rescue its economy.
What country isn't in debt?

Most people become unhappy when they win large amounts of money because they were operating under the assumption that money equals success and happiness, and it doesn't, and this gives them a cold, hard shock. A good percentage of people who suddenly win big end up losing their fortune because they don't know how to manage money properly and try to buy happiness in materialistic goods etc. If you're happy and healthy you're rich already. It's a shame most people don't realise this already.
I have to disagree to a certain extent. While there's some truth to the saying , "Money can't buy happiness", it can certainly rent it... There's a difference between someone living paycheck to paycheck (who has to struggle to make rent, care for their kids, parents, etc) and someone who's comfortable enough to risk some funds in an unproven crypto-currency.. That being said, there is probably an upper limit on how much money would be needed to make you happier. an extra $10k year makes a huge difference to someone making $35k/year It might make someone making $70k/year happier for a month Someone making $140k/year might be glad for a few weeks $280k/year - ok, thanks $560k/year - ok w/e $1120k/year wouldn't even blink... Mo' money mo' problems.

Yup, already posted in that thread calling out for the operator to provide proof that his campaign is legit. He hasn't posted since he made the original offer, so I'm pretty sure it's a scam.
Not much happening with regards to legit new ad-campaigns recently.
Yeah, especially not ones that will come close to PrimeDice's payouts. I'm sure we'll get a boom of them next year from Bitcoin entrepreneurs who want their Bitcoin website promoting, but it's not really worth taking the gamble on them to be honest.

I think I had a dream test too. I'd prefer not to say more because I don't think I passed. sdp What exactly is a dream test? Re-read the OP. If you still don't understand, read on... dream test: The sleeping person in his dream state is given a situation to see how he would react in order to evaluate him. In the original post, the poster dreams of killing the murderer and then hearing that he 'passed the test' all in separate dreams. It is as if there are external entities supplying a dream and take notes to see how he reacts. The scariest dreams are the nested ones. You wake up in from one nightmare but you are still asleep but really feel you are awake and then the nightmare you are currently in feels so real. sdp I still don't think I understand
