I find Litecoin repulsive.

A copy, no innovation, and no future.

Aren't pretty much all coins essentially a copy of Bitcoin?
17262  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Polish retail Wallpaper shop taking BTC, LTC and HBN on: January 09, 2014, 02:06:49 PM
HBN? what the fuck?

Hobonickles haha. I wonder out of all the alts, why did they choose them?

I have made alot of posts with the signature, could I get some payment now?

You can only have one signature with PD and people get paid on the 17th for the sig deals, but as the user above said, your posts probably wont count now.

I remember some guys quickly switched to that scam just after they had received payment from Stunna... Where are they all now?

Weeping over their foolishness and greed and hiding out of shame?

They are all coming back here again

I noticed there was an influx of people signing up after Stunna posted the recent giveaway. Maybe they all thought we was getting double for the sig payouts like a few of us did here  Grin.

Stunna has locked the thread, So no one else can comment, its too much stress on one guy to keep up with a site and forums, plus he takes on customer service himself.

How is this relevant to anything I said above?

Giveaway is not valid anymore, do you comprehend, jk, But he did close it so no more bonuses for anyone. Sad

I comprehend fine, but obviously you don't. Nobody said anything about the promo bonus.

Take it how you will but next time pose in a parka and sweatpants and hopefully you will still be getting tips.

IS the Parka and Sweatpants your fetish?  Cheesy
17265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What am I supposed to post as a newbie to get rid of the newbie status? on: January 09, 2014, 01:50:50 PM
I would like to reply to a message, but there is no reply button.

I have read the reason is I just got an account here and that I first have to post to the newbie section. However, there is nothing for me to contribute to the newbie section. Therefore, I think this newbie rule is ridiculous.
Sorry for bothering you with my message.

You now need to wait four hours. It's annoying, but it's there as a security prevention/measure.
17266  Other / Meta / Re: Please fix these annoying forum BUGS. on: January 09, 2014, 01:47:41 PM
Either way, it's obnoxious and should be changed.

The problem lies on your end.  Are you using TOR by chance?

It's probably not that, just not waiting the full 6 minutes. The time you have to wait goes down the more activity you get. Mine is only 30 seconds now.
17267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the "best" (easiest and relatively safe) wallet voor total noobs? on: January 09, 2014, 01:45:51 PM
Paper wallet for the money you'd keep in a safebox in a bank.

Electrum or multibit for the money you'd keep at home in a safe.

Blockchain.info/wallet for the money you'd put in your shorts to go to the beach.

I like this method of thinking.

Agreed, this is a nice way of putting it Smiley

Yeah, but I'd just keep all my savings on a password protected paper wallet with several back ups and skip out the wallet client.
17268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin or litecoin on: January 09, 2014, 01:44:40 PM
What do you recomend right now, just as a matter of interest?

Can we really determine which currency is better without any knowledge of cryptography or programing?  Sad

It depends on your rig and the block rewards of a particular currency.
17269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Market on: January 09, 2014, 01:38:11 PM
good market

Really? Because people are complaining they've been scammed by it and it appears to be now offline, or are you just trying to get out of newbie jail by posting rubbish?
17270  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org = Bitcoin version of Alibaba on: January 09, 2014, 01:35:25 PM
Maybe, but if the mods banned users wouldn't they be those who "have all the power"?
In the moderator policing the forums case, theymos controls who he wants to asign and you can't do crap, in the trust rating situation, theymos asigns who he wants in the DefaultTrust however you can change it to what you want. Besides what kind of idiot doesn't check out all the trust ratings before doing a trade with that person?

The kind of idiots that get scammed on here daily  Grin. And the opposite is also abused. A scammer can make a few accounts, give himself feedback from 5 of them so he looks legit, then scams anybody who trusts him. No system is perfect, but putting trust in this trust system is where people fall down as it gives them a false sense of security.
Welcome to the jungle. Smart people win, dumb people lose. The system is definitely better than the high probability of turning the centralized system into a tyranny.

It doesn't have to be one or the other and especially Tyranny vs Complete Lawless Anarchy where anything goes and every man for himself. A middle ground needs to be achieved (or at least attempted).
And that it is. Trust rating system, theymos' DefaultTrust, Scam accusation forums and of course your brain.

But a trust system that doesn't really work that well or is open to abuse isn't such a great middle ground and gives a false sense of security to those who are not in the know. Scam Accusations don't really matter because those are after the scams have been perpetrated and the scammers are long gone. And obviously most people who do get scammed don't use their brain.
17271  Other / Meta / Re: raffle? on: January 09, 2014, 01:31:14 PM
How would one build feedback so that you can do things to get trust like a game, selling items..etc without doing previously mentioned thing?

You build trust by sticking around and earning some rep by doing other various trades and sales. If people see that you have been successfully trading with or without escrow and are a familiar and respected figure, then they might put a little bit more faith in you, but it's incredibly difficulty to become or even appear to be trustworthy around here, and so it should be.
17272  Other / Off-topic / Re: Whats is your IQ? on: January 09, 2014, 01:26:05 PM
So it seems that the avarage IQ should be really high here... but im not sure if it should belive that and peopel arent just clicking the highest score as a prank...

I think the latter is probably more true.

Hi, I want to start mining and I'm looking for the right cryptocurrency.
I learned from this forum that is no more convinient to start mining bitcoin in 2014.
Is it different with the litecoin?
Can I mine both at the same time or I need a machine to powerfull?

Both Bitcoin and Litecoin are not worth mining unless you have a top of the range rig. Stick/start with one of the up and coming alt coins.
17275  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Market on: January 09, 2014, 01:14:20 PM
this is a scam. good thing i only lost .5 btc on it

It didn't look very legit. What happened? Just robbed funds or was it more elaborate?

i transferred .5 BTC there in the process of making a purchase and now the site is down.
Hard to trust anyone in the crypto game.

Or on TOR/deepweb. Bitcoin and these TOR markets just need to build up some trust, but it's hard to do as with anything there needs to be a bit of faith put in someone sometime to even get started.
17276  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Polish retail Wallpaper shop taking BTC, LTC and HBN on: January 09, 2014, 01:09:39 PM
Good idea, another way to spend BTC. I just wish there was a big electronics supplier accepting it.

That's what I'm hoping for. I want a new TV. I could see maybe Richer Sounds here in the UK taking it.
17277  Other / Off-topic / Re: GIF works...YAYY!! Post your fav. GIF here on: January 09, 2014, 12:57:08 PM

17278  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: January 09, 2014, 12:54:08 PM
I recommend `War Horse`
Amazing movie!!!

I thought that was so dull.

Spielberg hasn't been exciting in years. The last great film he did was back in 2002 with Minority Report (and Catch Me If You Can was pretty good).
17279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question? on: January 09, 2014, 12:50:37 PM
Scam Stores?
I saw some cool store out there from bitcoin faucet. Store sold asic miners and 49 usb hub.
And doing little bit more research I found that it was a scam website, and a guy lost .02 or so coins to this scammers
does anyone know how i can tell if its a fake site and where i could get some asic miner? I can't find any website not on google  Embarrassed
Ps sorry for miss spelling still taking English school it been a year i came from korea : Undecided

IF you find a store that seems to good to be true it probably is. Search on here and see if they post or have any feedback etc. Many scam reports are filled out over on the marketplace after people have lost money.
17280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Auction Sites : is there any left? on: January 09, 2014, 12:49:02 PM
After the announced closing of www.bitmit.net the only bitcoin auction site i could find is cryptothrift.com witch is little known, ugly and has a horrible name (as someone else said on this forum it sounds like "crypto-theft".

I am willing to earn a reputation as a serious and professional seller.

Does anyone know of any other site allowing to make auctions and being paid BTC?

https://cryptothrift.com/

Feathercoin also has a nice ebay-style market, but it's FTC only.
