Not sure I understood the rules, but I will try my luck with one S2.  Cheesy

Now with 2 S3s also.  Roll Eyes Later this week S5 will be there too.

p.s. just my humble IMHO - to make this lottery with Avalon4s more fair they should be raffled off between users with less than, for example, 5 Th. Or 10 Th. To strengthen them.  Roll Eyes

***************************************************************************

Following on the success of the pool with the last competition, we are having another giveaway!

This time, Avalon will be supplying and shipping a miner to each of 2 winners with this new competition.
It will be an Avalon 4.1 Machine with a 4-pin-cable x1 and an AUX x1 (without a PSU) as shown in the pictures below:

Not sure I understood the rules, but I will try my luck with one S2.  Cheesy

So there was no block found at your pool yet?..  Undecided

I can't see any pool statistics at pool website...
1849  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S5 possible wireless and cooling tweak on: January 26, 2015, 02:01:41 AM
the noctua fans will not move enough air.

Enough for what?.. Everything will be OK with 2 of that fans. But yes, they are very expensive... Comparing to my Gembird fans.  Grin
1850  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S5 possible wireless and cooling tweak on: January 25, 2015, 11:18:39 AM
I was thinking of buying something like this to make the antminer wireless
http://www.amazon.de/Wireless-Bridge-802-11b-Router-Kamera/dp/B006JV2H6O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1422141425&sr=8-1&keywords=USB+Wireless+Network+Adapter+RJ45+Ethernet+Dongle
My question is: does anyone know any reason why this could not work? so I dont waste time and money with it.

Yep, it should work (but it doesn't make S5 truely wireless...). You will need a kind of this cable to power up this bridge: http://www.amazon.com/Coolerguys-Molex-Dual-Power-Connecter/dp/B006JCHN08/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1422183878&sr=8-9&keywords=molex+to+usb+power

But I don't know how to configure this bridge (you should somehow point it to correct wifi network).  Huh

Moving onto the cooling I was thinking about replacing the noisy fan with a push-pull composed of 2x noctua NF-F12 PCC industrial 3000 rpm PWM fans:
http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=productview&products_id=78&lng=en&set=1

Nice thing if you have enough money. ) There are another fans available for purchasing which are cheaper.

And to finish I have narrowed my PSU choices to this, but it would be great if somebody could tell me fromhis/her experience which one works

I chose my PSU Chieftec APS-850CB (http://www.amazon.de/s/ref=nb_sb_noss/277-1588353-6713536?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=Chieftec+APS-850CB) because it has 4 separate 6+2 pin PCI-E cables to power ip my S5. Just to be on the safe side. But you can choose both  CS750M or RM750 though. Personally I would like RM750. )
1851  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How cold can you run an Antminer (STRESSTEST) on: January 24, 2015, 05:59:43 PM
Oh, I should have laid an ethernet to my garage in the summer...

Well, since "Searching is temporarily disabled", I should ask here. Sorry if it has been already asked, but can we somehow set/modify voltage for further S5 overclocking?

We all know that at frequency 400 hashrate stop to grow, so may be rising the voltage we can achieve higher hashrate?
1853  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Grab a Antminer S2? on: January 24, 2015, 01:07:05 PM
Your economy on S2 itself will probably get hurt you when you receive your electricity bills.  Smiley
1854  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Spondoolies SP20E. One impressive miner 0,526 W/GH on: January 24, 2015, 12:39:01 PM
About 680 Wt at the wall, depending on your exact PSU, it's efficiency, 80Plus sertificate and so on.
1855  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive Avalon Avalon4 Setup [HD] on: January 24, 2015, 10:26:35 AM
What about noise level measurements? How can we more or less objectively compare it with other mining hardware before buying?
1856  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Spondoolies SP20E. One impressive miner 0,526 W/GH on: January 24, 2015, 10:21:24 AM
5-7% overclock from 1155 Ghash.

>11% (from 1155 to 1300 Gh).
1857  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Grab a Antminer S2? on: January 24, 2015, 10:01:31 AM
S5 is perfect for home mining (maybe Avalon4 too, but S5 is more simple - plug in, turn on, configure and enjoy!). It just need fan replacement. So djroadking, why don't you grab a couple of S5s? There is no need to waste an electricity with S2...
1858  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [HOT] PMpool.net, BTC 0% fee, PPLNS, 1BTC block finder bonus, Highest paying! on: January 23, 2015, 03:48:03 PM
I want. But since each miner, even with 500 Gh or even lower can find the block, each should have a chance for that reward, don't you think so? Sure their chances are very low, so you don't lose anything if one of the thousands of miners will find a block...
1859  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: January 21, 2015, 06:13:33 AM
Why doesn't S5 became idle when it has no connection with Internet at all? Why it still heating an air and eating an electricity?..  Huh
1860  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Finally not loud Antminer S5, very cheap mod :) on: January 19, 2015, 04:56:49 PM
One important point: there is 0 HW errors. So who said that 60+ degrees is unacceptable temperature?..

Take a look at my overclocking results - maximum value of HWE is 0.02%. So relax and enjoy silent S5s.  Wink
