1861  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I fail in trading on: November 19, 2018, 01:25:23 PM
Indeed to start trading you really need to understand the graph of the price of a coin at any time because with a relatively fast movement the trader must be able to maintain momentum well and certainly not suffer losses. That's where you really have to learn to trade and patience is certainly very important.

I don't much believe that anyone can really master the charts, enough that they can accurately predict a coin's direction. Being aware and understanding it's basics should be enough. Getting yourself updated with crypto news and events that may affect people's mindsets would be a better trait to have.
1862  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL is not advisable! on: November 19, 2018, 01:21:51 PM
It largely depends upon your expectations from your Investments. If you are in for long term, hodl is the key. These short term market volatility shouldn't be bothering. But if you are in for trade which can be short, mid or long term. Hodling won't be the right strategy. You would like to make profit out of the every market movement.
well, when you just held it back, without strategy, I thought it would hurt. for now, you can be sure for those who hold coins to lose, there are even some people who sell forcibly to avoid losses. well, because of things like this, sometimes holding back buses is also detrimental.

Well people who sell to avoid losses don't have that much confidence in their reason for hodling. Sometimes the best reason for hodling isn't really about the value of your coins but what it'll be and it's uses in the future. If you hodl because you believe that bitcoin and blockchain is the future of transactions, then the long wait would be well worth it.
1863  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHY DO WE NEED A TRADING PLAN ? on: November 19, 2018, 01:17:37 PM
Trading plan is basically your strategy. In every plan, back plans for unexpected incidents should also be considered such as contingency plan. Taking note of the market distinct characteristics such as unpredictability and volatility. No fixed strategy for daily trading, it is always "it depends on the situation".
Right. Be flexible. As long as you know what you're doing then any plan would be okay. Having a plan beforehand lessens your tendency of being emotionally drawn, which is one of the reasons why traders get frustrated.
1864  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not be Greedy on: November 19, 2018, 01:14:42 PM
In my opinion, the best time to sell is when the market price of the coin is 20%+ higher than the market price at which you bought the coin. Dont wait till the market price is 95%+ before you sell. That only happens when you got your eyes glues to your machine 24/7. Dont be greedy... Make a little profit and grow it over time. Cryptomarket is growing and full of terror! Be careful
right. This market gathers a lot of terrorists and so the new market has a huge capitalization. It is not just the contribution of investors, most of the capitalization is used to manipulate the market. So make a realistic investment plan and do it exactly as planned, do not let the guilt lead.

And i don't think we're going to see much of that 95% rise in price anymore. Not as much as the previous years. 20% would even be an ambitious amount by the current standards. I guess it would be safer to go for 5 to 10 percent especially if you're actively trading.
1865  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without losses? on: November 19, 2018, 01:12:03 PM
I'm interest in trading and I want to know more about it. So please give me your valuable ideas and opinions. As a beginner I would like to know that Is there any special ways to do trading without losses or in a manner which minimize the losses. Not only that please tell me Is it possible to start trading with a small amount of money at the beginning.
Hope you will help me.
Thank you. Smiley Smiley

There is no perfect trading so we should learn how to accept it. There are always lapses along the way so we must be wise in trading. It is important that we'll have knowledge about what we are doing first to get rid of uncertain losses. Searching and learning the basics of it is important.
Not trading, don’t talk about trading. Do you ever see any source of anything that involves some effort but the ending is always win? I considered nothing like this. Whenever two or more people come and try to get something, there is always loss. Likewise whenever someone put money in something, there is always a chance of loss equal as win. So digest it.
Know your risk appetite because in investing/trading losing money is very normal. Even you put small amount of money, you will still lose some of it. We can't always win, losing will always be there but of course you can learn a lot from that experience.

Reading more about trading can help you to minimize loses, but it will not help you to win always. In the market that is composed of high volatility, expect to lose money.

Always set your cut loss level, that is trading where traders maximize the market to earn profit and minimize their loses by setting the cut loss level. Meaning, even professional traders have their own story of losing money, we can actually learn a lot from them.
Yes that’s true, but it can only be when you’re trading regularly. If you’re the type of trader that tries to be certain of their predictions before taking actions, then there is every possibility that you won’t lose. But these sure times doesn’t come regularly, and most of us prefer to trade every time. So the best thing is to look for ways to reduce your loss instead of talking about not losing at all.

How can one certain about his predictions at all though? I don't think there's any way to do that especially for someone that's just starting to trade.  Accepting the fact that you're bound to lose money along the way would be a good start to condition yourself. Piling up on experience is still the best way to go.
1866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Btc price....what's happening? on: November 19, 2018, 08:48:48 AM
I know a lot of people think that fake satoshi is selling his BTC to fund his BCH SV coin but I don't think it's related to that.

What happened most likely was that too many people assumed that since November is normally bullish for BTC they all went long on margin or on Bitmex and basically some large whale started a domino effect when the $6000 and $5800 yearly support broke.

Basically people either were margin called, or stops were hit or they set sell-stops below $6000 and basically there was a huge lack of demand and huge supply hence why price went down so fast and so far.

Yes, I don't know why people always blame the Satoshi, why can't we consider that whales are maunplating the market in order to grab the Bitcoin at a low price. Whales will easily spread the negative news about the Bitcoin and start dumping the Bitcoin to lower value in order to grab them. This is completely market trick by the whales.

It's probably whales indeed playing that started this decline. We all know how easy it would be for them to cause a snowball effect when they stage what would seem to be a sell off. And i agree also that stop losses have bet met with people not actively selling their btcs. As of now we have a new yearly all time low. Who knows, whales are probably waiting for this to happen.
1867  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: THE NEXT MARKET MOVEMENT. UP OR DOWN? on: November 19, 2018, 08:48:36 AM
As we all noticed what happened few hours ago we saw how over 15million Usd was wipe out from the Market. some said it was due to Bitcoin cash Fork. others said it was due to an up date from Coinbase. some said that such trend was due to happen which will be the Last Bear market for the Year.  Grin Grin Loads of Predictions.
So i ask the crypto family what do you think could be the next Move from Now?
BTC moving to 8000 and above OR moving down to 4k AS SOME predicted.
I think it will fly up to 8k $ and you should not doubt about that. Because our market will only bottom at $ 185 million. We should believe in a strong growth from it in 2019. no more dumping now

Lol. Just now the market plunged again and last i looked, btc plays around 5.3k, a new all time low for 2018 it seems. Hopefully we end the year on a positive note since there still is time to recover but i'm not looking at my portfolio this week lol.
1868  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Botting v manual trading on: November 19, 2018, 07:12:07 AM
Everything strategy for trading have advantages and disadvantages.  Your job as a trader is to use the most advantageous strategy at you disposal or combine different positive side of each strategy. Botting could be good or bad,  manual could be slow and steady!
It depends on our time, there will be time for botting and if we want some chances to do manual and do it by ourselves it will be better to do so since we have control on everything we do.

And that's more pretty accurate then.
Using a bot will just ruined your trading as cryptos are so volatile and can just make you to lose more. Why pay for a bot that eventually will give you headache? Just trust your skills and it will lead you to betterment.

Yeah you learn less when you use bots since you let it work the market for you. You don't get to make observations that much which for me, is quite essential if you're aiming to be a more efficient trader. If you don't have that much time to focus on the market though, i think that's where bots can come handy.
1869  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Actually Govern the Crypto Market on: November 19, 2018, 07:09:43 AM
I did not see any bad news on the market,  but the price dumped,  i think this is because whales did it and they been take profit.  And they will buy back at lower price.  Situation of Crypto market now is very different with afew last year , which the price is natural and did not controled by whales. To avoid big loss,  now we should always use stop loss in all open potition and never forget it.

I also don't see any bad news, so this might be the work of some whales who sell their bitcoin for the purposes which is beyond our knowledge. I think this is only temporary and prices will return to normal soon.

I don't see how they can take profit from the previous price of 6.5k though. The market prior to the dump was quite steady for a long time. Either these whales are playing with us or many people though they'd be affected with bitcoin cash's hardfork. The dump happened just around the same time.
1870  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as an entertainment thing on: November 19, 2018, 07:05:25 AM
There are a lot of companies calling me at least every 2 days to ask me if i am into trading and if not why not and why i don't and so on..
Is there any kind of entertainment if doing online investments or trading?
Enlighten me!
The fact is that trading is one job that can provide many benefits for all of us. Trading is a sure thing because trading science can be learned. It's different from playing gambling and also investing in an ICO project. I think Trading is much better and gives us many opportunities to make a profit.
Absolutely, trade has more opportunities for success than anything else. But in trade it will be very full of research and monitoring and sometimes it makes us a little stressed.

Some trade sites or exchanges do have games that  one can use to entertain themselves with, like dice games. For me though, trading itself is quite entertaining already. It depends on a person's perspective and i know there are also many who feels the same way about it as me.
1871  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How a trader should deal with the stress? on: November 19, 2018, 07:00:33 AM
The site would not to anyone any relaxation good when they loose money, except the loss is on demo account. Anyone who is demoralised hardly will have time to view any site. May be a porn site will help. For me I just sleep through whenever am in a great loss.
porn site would not help us anything.its could not recovered our loss.but maybe our stress level could be decrease.personally i would take positive activity to refresh my mind.
Positivity could never be retrieved by any negative vibe element. There must be control on mind and if you are much frustrated, go better to gym or something productive, don’t proceed to unethical activities.

Well sometimes these unethical activities takes one's mind away from stress. I don't think it's that bad if watching porn can ease your mind. Different people have different ways of coping up with stress so you have to know what works for you. It's important for a trader mainly to have their focus away from trading once in a while.
1872  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can I still get wealthy through Bitcoin? on: November 19, 2018, 06:55:19 AM
It will depend on you, depends on how hard working you are. Just remember that there is no shortcut to success. If you do well and don't panic you could earn in trading. Trading was the most when it comes to earning but also the hardest and requires a lot of effort especially if the price is shaky.

So true. Everyone really need to work this ass off in order to enjoy like life in the future. Well, crypto is her and it gives us the financial freedom that we all have been wanted, we just need to make the best out of it like in trading and investing. But its not easy as it sounds, it can be stressful at times but rewarding when you see your doing good and making profits.
Rather than even focusing too much on wealth, people need to start focusing more on how to be efficient in this space which has to do with doing things right. If you do not know how to do things right, there is actually no way you can benefit. The benefits are huge, but it takes being smart to identify those benefits, learn how to tap and take advantage of those benefits and do well for yourself in the long run. However, any new person coming into the space should know that this space is not a get rich quick scheme and in every aspect, you have to work for what you want to have; either your ability to do some activities, or the ability to have some level of patience.

Right. The possibility of wealth would always be there especially at this early stage where adoption still has a lot of room to move forward. The thing is, those people who had wealth as their primary reason for joining in already went home or exited with frustration. Nothing works that way in this world. You don't expect an investment to magically make you rich.
1873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you worried about? on: November 18, 2018, 03:28:24 PM
A repeat of mtgox? I don't think btc will ever decline entirely. Different from the bubbles in the past like dotcom,  blockchain will play  a really big part in the future of transactions with bitcoin at the head. Something like mtgox though may pull the value a little too low and scare would be users, hence slowing crypto's growth.
1874  Economy / Services / Re: I lost my all btc,ltc,doge coins! on: November 18, 2018, 03:19:52 PM
My condolences for your loss dude. You can offer as all your lost btcs and even though all of us here would want to help you out for free, i think there's little to no chance you'll retrieve those lost coins. Having that much in your portfolio should have extra layers of security and carefulness.
1875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you HODL because you believe the price will go up? Or are you lost too much? on: November 18, 2018, 03:17:05 PM
I've been doing this since late 2013. I sold a portion of my bags for a profit in January. Would of been stupid not to, but I have consolidated the rest of my bags and put the funds into projects I think have the best potential. Hope you guys are doing the same.

Well hopefully those projects end up with good results for you dude. I still have majority of my portfolio in btc which sadly is at a loss. No harm for me though since i'm still looking at a year or two or now for my btc holdings.
1876  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Billion People Will Be Using Cryptocurrency in 5 Years: Brian Armstrong on: November 18, 2018, 03:10:25 PM
Bitcoin is now becoming more popular, it is increasingly being used, and most importantly, people are beginning to realize the benefits of using this technology. That's great.
In my opinion, currently bitcoin users have reached tens of millions of users, and will continue to grow because of the spread of bitcoin. but within 5 years is it possible that mass adoption can occur up to 10 times? even though adoption happened I wasn't sure in 5 years, users could reach billions of people

5 years is a long time. And anything is possible especially mass adoption considering the attention bitcoin has been getting. And the more people understanding blockchain the faster it'll be for this prediction to come true.
1877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is less stable than some ALTs ! on: November 18, 2018, 03:04:39 PM
Ya, bitcoin have more volatile than alts, its because bitcoin is the key for alt movement, the whale make it for easy pump for alts I guess. You can see the chart every btc move, alts down also. And if btc stable alts goes growth.

Well perhaps at times yes, but normally btc is more stable compared to how most alts fluctuate. Though it's given that news about bitcoin and it's reaction affects the whole market more than individual alts does, including eth and bch.
1878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This person made $500,000 with gambling and lost it all within 60 seconds! on: November 18, 2018, 03:00:29 PM
The story is from about almost 5 years ago but this is 100% relevant to 2018 or 2019 or many years to come, you can read it here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/1ch7wb/starting_with_almost_nothing_i_made_almost_500000/

In short version, he gambled on Bitcoin, made $500,000 - and lost it all later on, he then continued to gamble in Roulette and other games, and ended up with $50,000 in debt.

By the way,
This is not only related to Bitcoin or Casino Games - if you think Sports betting is different think twice after reading this:

https://www.psychforums.com/gambling-addiction/topic182379.html

This person lost over $300,000 within 48 hours, all because of sports betting, he had bets on tennis, basketball, soccer - you name it.

And there are many more stories to read such as this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/problemgambling/comments/4pzgmu/i_just_lost_140000_in_5_minutes/

Moral of the story - you can never be rich with gambling, and even if you end up being "rich" - you would lose the whole lot in no time ... only the house wins because the house has an edge.

Well obviously it was making one wrong decision after another. The guy lost it when he lost the murray bet. Usually sport betting doesn't end up with you losing all the time but placed bets on a lot of games with some he probably doesn't know much about. That just shows how getting too carried away can mess up your logic.
1879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Make money with martingale applied to dice game ? on: November 18, 2018, 02:29:59 PM
Well i don't think there are a lot of streaks that go 20 rolls, whether it's a win or not. If you have enough money to play for 20 losses, and that would be a considerably big amount, you have higher chances than most dice players.
1880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Friendly advice/warning about gambling in this market on: November 18, 2018, 02:27:36 PM
The market is falling or rising I don't think it has an effect on gambling, if you bet on a sports match for example, does the sport care about the conditions of the bitcoin market? I do not think so. So they (the sports actors) will play as usual and also your victory and defeat at gambling I think it will be the same, only maybe the exchange rate you get will decrease if you get profit from gambling because the price is falling

Well, the point of his thread is because of the price volatility these days unless you didn't read the thread fully? Ofcourse the games will still be the usual, its just the value of crypto may flactuate that you may end up losing (even if you win) if the price of bitcoin continues to drop.

Lol. Guy probably didn't understand and saw it in a more general gambling perspective. You tend to lose more money in equivalent when the market is fluctuating and than if it's a little more steady. That's why gambling with crypto is gambling in itself already.
