1881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which kind of situation will force you to sell? on: December 21, 2022, 09:42:47 PM
....
Is family or health challenge enough reason to?
Emergencies - this is the most reason why holders sacrifice their coins and sell them at the not perfect time. It is really hard if you are not financially stable because sometimes we need to sacrifice something like in a situation where someone from our family needs immediate money support.
I have that experience but yes, we don't have any choice than committing debts that only add a burden to our financial status. That I see it was very important to save money for health/emergencies separate from our investment so our plan will never be affected.
1882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 21, 2022, 11:41:16 AM
With this statement of Inoue, some of the Filipino boxing fans thinks that Inoue is avoiding Casimero because if he grinds for ranking after he goes up in weight division, there is a possibility for Inoue to fight Casimero. While going straight to a title fight will definitely evade a fight against Casimero.
Maybe he can be a champion but Casimero will always be his tough challenger and the time will come when he will have no choice but to fight him. If he will evade Casimero, not only the Filipino fans will think that he is afraid of him but the whole boxing community, so if he has the pride of a champion, he needs to take the challenge of Casimero.
I don't see any news or articles said if Inoue is avoiding to fight with Casimero, maybe it's just your speculation. Well Inoue will not scared with anyone, as long as he's not fight with an undisputed champion, he wouldn't avoid to fight with any boxer. Maybe Inoue think there's no reason to fight with a boxer who doesn't have any belt since it's wasting his time, it depends on each boxer if he want to "warm up" first or directly fight with a champion.
Definitely, it's only an speculation, but as a fan, we saw what happened, they were supposed to fight but due to the pandemic the fight was cancelled, but when there's no pandemic anymore, Inoue's camp did not make the fight happen, so you have to understand the frustration of the fans because they want to see a good fight and they think only Casimero can match Inoue in their division.
1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 21, 2022, 11:18:11 AM
I might find that an excuse, uncovering your fighting strategy, is not a good reason, though he might be exposed if he will fight Gesta, but it is
his obligation since he signs the contract.

Since Garcia had signed the contract will the boxing commission sanction Garcia?  I wonder how much money will Garcia need to pay for the penalty if he failed to show in the signed contract fight against Festa.

About the reason of being exposed, I think that is a good reason if he is able to surprise Davis and win the fight.  But if not then it is just a waste.

Still no update about the situation with the upcoming fight between Gesta and Garcia, only the statement of Garcia that spread around
the social channels that he's no longer interested in fighting Gesta.

Gesta's camp is still quiet I wonder what is Gesta's camp thinking right now.  The fight against Ryan Garcia as stated in the earlier reply is one of the biggest fight of Gesta and possible the one that can boost Gesta's career if he happen to win the fight.  I hope the boxing authority will push the fight since it was already signed.

Absolutely sure if that fight will happen Gesta vs Garcia then Gesta will take this as his advantage it because his name will became a popular once that fight will happen and it will boost his career as we all know who is Garcia he is one of the best fighter in boxing so without a doubt Gesta will became very known in many country and more known if he will win against Garcia. But for now maybe gesta and his team still thinking because they are very quite.
Gesta team are quite because they didn't expect that suddenly Garcia is not going to push through with this fight. Gesta has the perfect opportunity again to become popular if he somehow upsets Ryan Garcia here, but not going to happen anymore. And Gesta cannot do anything about Ryan's decision because he don't have control of the fight, as he is not the one who dictate it, he is just a b-side fighter here.

Yes, he missed that opportunity, eventually, he will retire soon because he is not getting any younger, so getting a big fight like against Ryan Garcia is very huge for him. Gesta is not a popular boxer, with a fight against Ryan Garcia, he will become popular if he can upset Garcia, but of course we know it will not happen.

Quote
Ryan though will have a 8 month break, so it's about him getting active and not let ring rust takes over him when he will fight Davis next year.
He knows how big his opponent is, it's not going to be an easy fight for him so preparation is necessary, and of course, Davis is also doing the same thing for sure.
1884  Economy / Economics / Re: A fact that the general public don't know on: December 21, 2022, 04:58:56 AM
It's looks like in every bear season crypto always gets a bad occurrence to be called a scam, this is why I still look at the whole bad situations that's happening as a planned attack, I am talking about FTX and co.

The Politicians will try to ruin crypto and force KYC on every clean and unclean exchanges out there, this is a good opportunity for them to promote CBDC too because of this FTX fraud but I am here to tell you that FTX and Crypto are not the same things, FTX is a private company that did many bad things behind the curtain and Cryptocurrency is the most fascinating technology that humanity has ever emerge with.

Don't get it confused.
I'm not sure if this is a force factor or if something hugely influences the market condition. However, FTX gives us an example of why we should be careful in dealing with crypto exchanges whether it was big or small, or new or old. We have to consider the high risk in the crypto investment and that is very important of being aware and have knowledge about this. Perhaps, the idea of collecting KYC is one way to combat scams but sadly, even known exchanges had led to that situation.
1885  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a trading strategy becomes obsolete? on: December 21, 2022, 04:22:09 AM
I am trying to learn more about trading strategies specially in Technical Analysis. Upon trying different indicators, it comes to my mind that indicators might become an obsolete one day.

...
I would say NO. Technical Analysis is still very important in trading, in fact, it is one of the most useful tools to use in trading. It can only be obsolete if everyone is not using it due to it being ineffective but as I see many traders are still using this (even me). Might see some upgrades on the trading strategies and new tools or TA can be upgraded into a more realistic one. But what really matters is how a trader uses TA or if they are really knowledgeable enough to use it. Otherwise, no matter how many trading tools and strategies are used, it is never profitable anymore if you can't do it in the right way.
1886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin Dead ? on: December 20, 2022, 09:42:46 PM
....But with current news it wants us to rethink and ask – is doge coin dead?
No doubt Elon help the coin become more popular to the mainstream but not enough to bring it down even if he decides to withdraw his support. Dogecoin survived the years when it has no real lead developer or no significant updates on the chain level and has nothing but a community. It remains a popular choice among users like gamblers who wants to transfer funds with cheaper fees that's why it's present in many casino deposit options.
Not I think it was easy for him to give up and leave Dogecoin because I see that he also gain benefits from this project. Perhaps, we can see huge support from the community bringing Dogecoin to survive in many market crashes. Though we know that Dogecoins is a meme coin but we can't deny that it has also been useful in other ways ( transaction fees). Many people had just missed it but for some people, this coin is valuable to them, and can't afford to lose it in their hands.
1887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just how bad is the bear market right now? on: December 20, 2022, 09:16:18 PM
Just how bad is the bear market right now?
Historically low prices have endured for a longer period of time in the present bear market cycle than in any other.
Might the others will feel bad, especially the beginners but for me and those who have experience from the past bear season, we'd see the market is still healthy. Yes, we can see a lot of altcoins are in huge dumps but this is not we measure the market if it is really in bad condition. In fact, I have not surprised how this is going to happen with projects that are no use-case and surely got rejected by the investors.

Just look at the top coins OP, you will see their price is still higher compared to the past bear season. Meaning, their status is still pretty good and the demand still high.
1888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 20, 2022, 11:17:03 AM
Looks like the thread is going other way?  because it goes further when the fight is already finish and it is clearly that Manny Pacquiao wins .
yeah, we cannot help but discuss how Manny will spend his winnings and his possible next fight.
Maybe this thread needs to be lock and make a new thread for a specific topic.

Congrats to the winner , but there are still that case in which to be addressed professionally because that claim is truly alarming and will make big difference from what people look at manny now.

I don't win because I think bookies did not offer a betting odds of this fight.
1889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 20, 2022, 10:50:26 AM

actually i think the Bulls should try to get Derrick Rose back and let him retire as a Bull.  Lonzo isn't going to be coming back any time soon if at all since he is still having knee troubles.  Based on the reception he got vs. the Knicks I really wish they would do that.

I doubt if they gonna do that because it was their decision to trade him when he was making a name in Chicago Bulls but when multiple injuries caught him and they see that he no longer passed those acrobatics moves he once had, they traded him and he cried because the team was really mean a lot for him back then. You can see from an interview on Youtube that while being traded, he cried because it broke his heart really bad that time. Prime Derrick Rose was so amazing and he is the primary reason why the Bulls is a popular team back in the 2010s.

That's unfortunate scene to see when he cry a lot after Bulls trading him and I doubt he will love to go there for what they done to him. But if fans will make this happen and Bulls will do it just for the hype then I think its still good recognition to him knowing he place the Bulls on good place when he is young and healthy.

There's a slim chance that this will happen but let see.

That would be nice gesture for the Bulls if they will sign Rose and let him retire with Bulls Jersey. During his era, he take the Bulls with so much success, he was only rookie when he already started carrying the team, but it's just unfortunate he was injured and things went dark afterwards.
1890  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 19, 2022, 09:52:19 PM
It's not everyone that can manage to make at least some savings after the end of every thirty days monthly, but it will always be a good decision to start one if not in place because it will help to have something one can refer to in times of emergency and financial impromptu circumstances, savings also head have something left to fall back on later in life, it may seems difficult to be achieved but it has always been a decision  well good to take, because your savings is what saves you ftom lending money around from people and be i debt.
For people who are in debt is likely impossible to do it.
But there is one reason why I'd see people have difficulties in doing this in real life - there is no motivation. Mostly we have been influenced by our friends, our environment, and sometimes by our pride. Most people change their lifestyle when earning more money which makes them difficult to set aside some money for savings, and sometimes it becomes a reason to be in debt.
1891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 19, 2022, 08:46:10 AM
LA Lakers won against Washington Wizards. The plan was to put the game in a blowout, rest their core players for the game tomorrow against the Phoenix Suns but the Wizards kept on fighting until the end. So close that Lebron almost lost the ball at the last possession that could've been a disaster for them to lose the game.
I doubt the spreads are covered today. Nets versus Pistons was also a tight game, the same with Nuggets versus Hornets. I think both games started with -10.5.

They have been playing great these past few days and without AD I thought they will gonna messed up once again but they still keep fighting and doing all they can to slowly increase their spot and surely not get more losses before AD will return. It was all good when he successfully defended Kuzma from that 3-point line because if ever he made that shot, then it would be a big embarrassment for LBJ. In the end, Kuzma is getting some reactions from fans that he is really loyal to the Lakers.  Grin Grin

I'm not impressed with how they played, yes they won the game but Wizards are going to be the worst team this season as they are in a cold losing streak, currently at 10. Lakers has to show that they dominate a weak team while stay competitive against great teams, that's the only way they will be back in the playoff spot.

Messi messes up my bet, LOL.. Anyway, congratulations to the Argentina which is headed by Messi, this is a big win for them and it's a well deserved win. I really have to be awake late at night in order to see this game, and although I lose my bet, I still enjoy watching the game.
1893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason Dogecoin could fail in the future on: December 18, 2022, 09:54:32 PM
Quote
So, I don't believe dogecoin will eventually fail, it's a huge big no for me, and I know it's different here for sure.

Without technological advancement, it will become obsolete.  Dogecoin will be lagging in technology and problems will occur.  Aside from that, the Dogecoin supply is not capped, meaning its supply will inflate infinitely.  When there is a surplus of supply the demand suffers, when the demand suffers, the price plummet.  When the price plummet people will look for other beneficial investments.  It is the norm in investment so there is a possibility that Dogecoin will eventually fail if there is no improvement done to its technology.
Dogecoin supporters seem to believe that just because dogecoin has always been a meme coin without too much emphasis on its usefulness that it can keep being a useless coin and nothing will happen to it, but when we have hundreds of other coins which are following the same formula then the huge level of competition will at some point cause dogecoin to lose popularity, and once this reaches a critical point it would not surprise me to see the value of dogecoin crashing and never recovering.
We have Solana as another popular meme coin but look, it is slowly out from getting popular and only Dogecoin remains strong and gain huge support from the community. Well, I couldn't really say that Dogecoins is useless because of its very low fees compared to ETH, many people have the option and converting their coins with Dogecoin and moving their coins to another wallet. Because if people are totally right that this coin is useless, I think we never see this among the top 10 coins in the market but see, it was there.
1894  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC, more closer bullish days ahead. on: December 16, 2022, 09:14:46 PM
it could mean that the deepest we see the price in this bear market will mean a huge uptick in the price in the next bull run? So most likely x10 for bitcoin at least, so if that happens then it means around $150k? So that is huge already and for sure everyone is going to be excited again after the block halving. But let's see, the bullish days is still far ahead as we are in the bears, but still we can't take that out of our mind to see what it feels like to be in the bullish and seeing new all time high in the future. For now, we will settle around $17K. Then face 2023 will optimism although it will still be bearish market all throughout.
I am pretty sure that 150k is likely, it doesn't look like a low price and would probably work out. I am not saying that is guaranteed or anything, maybe we will fail, but I feel like it's likely. In fact so much so that I am aiming at 250k for the next bull run, because it is quite possible to have like x15 or so from the bottom, and our bottom was more like 16k close to it, and times x15 of that is around 240k, now 200k+ should be possible, and 250k should be very hard, nearly impossible but where we could aim at for our peak. That is why I find 150k not an issue, definitely no guarantee we will hit that, but that is not my aim at all, I aim a lot higher.
Last bull season most of us are predicting that Bitcoin will reach $100k and we all got wrong. Honestly, I have no idea where it goes but I still believe that $100k is reachable in the coming bull season. But if we say 150,000 dollars, I couldn't think about it - that seems far from reality.
We have no clue about the next Bullrun but there is one thing I was sure of, Bitcoin will make another ATH. Every Bullrun is another breaking record for Bitcoin and that is what I expect in the next bull season.

1896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why everybody is panicking ? Its a game of greed and fear ! on: December 16, 2022, 08:20:15 PM
In trying to put more pressure on the market by constantly monitoring a supposedly long term bitcoin or cryptocurrency investment, one ends up putting pressure on themselves as, the market is and will always remain a collective effort from the whales to make any huge difference.

The market is a highly volatile environment and most times more than  anticipated, it always looks as though your loosing, as though it was set against you and that builds pressure on you as an investor. Pushes you not to invest or sell your crypto portfolio due to phobia of further falls.

Staying away the charts becomes a reliable strategy to be in the market not minding the market condition.
True. You can never expect for the market to be always on the pump as it will always be volatile no matter what. Instead, accept the fact that when we are in a bearish market condition, crypto prices are dumping and so the best thing to do is hold them for long until we see them recovering again. Also, do not often monitor the market so you won’t feel pressured and end up panicking. For now, bitcoin accumulation would be the best resort.
It was found to be the nature of the market, up and down. Perhaps, nothing has changed since from the start. In fact, many people had already anticipated that kind of event but unfortunately, those who are new in here got no idea what they are doing when the drops come as panic come into their minds. Likely, if we only understand how this works, we never can see panic selling but had already accepted the reality that not all can't manage to hold longer as weak hands are easily bothered by the FUDs and rumors.
1897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH whales buying MATIC. Price surge incoming? on: December 16, 2022, 02:20:51 PM
Source: https://coingape.com/top-eth-whales-buying-polygon-matic-will-matic-price-surge/

In my own instinct, I had a feeling at some point in the future that MATIC might be having it’s own bull run momentum. It’s still way undervalued as of today.

That is uncertain as I never see such a thing happen in the market.
Matic might grow someday and the pump high but that will happen when Bitcoin is also in the rally. But as we look at the current momentum, seeing this project make its own Bullrun is somewhat impossible (just my opinion). I have no strong basis for this but we know the sentiment of the market before and know that altcoins are dependent on Bitcoin.

Whales are buying Matic as an opportunity but never I think this will make Matic have its own direction opposite to the current state of the market.
1898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do in this case? on: December 16, 2022, 12:52:47 PM
OP was asking for some insights since last week. I wonder what was his response to the guy. Personally, I would really stay away from coins and projects that are connected with FTX and Alameda. Fuel dropped around 50% already while Mina lost a third of its price since November. I do not know how much influence and money Alameda and FTX invested into these projects but it is very possible that a withdrawal is imminent in order to cover the damages done to its clients and investors. Authorities are probably going to liquidate all of Alameda and FTX's assets.
After several replies and suggestions, I guess he already knows how to respond.

But in regards to holding coins that are connected to FTX and Alameda, fear and uncertainties usually come into our minds. It was our concern and it was advisable not to invest in these projects as the risk is too high. But if I were the OP, I suggest them to warn the possible results of investing in these projects so it was their decision to sell those coins and switch to another projects and keep them.
1899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 16, 2022, 10:39:34 AM
For sure the Bucks will want to come back after this huge lost. So better to look for them against the Jazz at Fiserv. It's their home court and although they will be facing another Jazz team, they are playing and defending good at home.

Most probably, but Jazz are also a great team and they are beating good teams, so you cannot really make sure if they'll beat the Jazz. Anyway, I would still consider betting on the Bucks if the odds are very attractive, they are playing at home, so I wouldn't be surprise if they'll be a heavy favorite.
1900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 16, 2022, 09:45:32 AM
It is true that martial arts is different when it comes to boxing because the rules are also different, but martial arts is also about speed and to respond well in such attacks by showing how good your reflexes are. And seriously, I didn't saw those attributes to DK Yoo when he was facing Pacquiao recently on the ring and frankly that's the reason why DK Yoo's face is now becoming a meme.

Maybe because of the difference in the fighting nature, DK Yoo's approach to Pacquiao is not shown.

It's also worth noting that they also fight within Pacquiao's comfort zone which is boxing.

If we changed the situation where Pacquiao will fight DK Yoo in a martial arts fight, the result might have a chance to favor DK Yoo since that is his nature.

Exactly, but of course the exhibition fight will be in boxing because it's more popular, and Pacman is very popular in that sport. Just like Mayweather, he didn't fight in UFC so he continued his dominance against a UFC fighter which is Conor McGregor.
