1901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: March 24, 2020, 06:04:45 PM
This is what I’m seriously worried about. There are countries where social distancing will be difficult to achieve. Especially countries where there are so much poverty, what are the people going to do in such countries?

Seriously it’s not going to be easy when it comes to such countries because people wouldn’t want to stay on lockdown when they don’t have something to eat – I don’t even need to mention the places I’m referring to because you all already know the places I’m referring to when I said poverty-stricken countries. These are the countries where the government don’t even give a damn about citizens, only the rich survive.
1902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How About Bitcointalk raise Money in BTC to Donate on fight against Coronavirus on: March 24, 2020, 05:21:28 PM
You do have a good idea, but I don’t know if they are really going to do such a thing here. This is something that is meant for the admin to start up, because they are the only ones that can be trusted. If the admin can create such campaign and create a particular address for the donation, lots of people here will be happily donate their bitcoins to help countries that are affected by the corona virus.

But since, there’s nothing like that yet, I believe there are still other means that you can help in fighting this pandemic, you can donate through other organizations in your country that handles situations like this. I guess in the past only few individuals did that hence we can expect the same rather than anything officially from bitcointalk.
1903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency vs. Fiat currency. on: March 24, 2020, 02:23:54 PM
They are both good and you already said it that they have their own differences. I haven’t used Bitcoin to make any purchase before , it has always been fiat that I’m using anytime I want to make purchase; when I’m buying things online I make payments using PayPal or I just pay with my card.

As for Bitcoin the only thing I have been doing with it is just transaction and it has been between me and people that are making use of it, which there isn’t much people that I know that are making use of it. And another thing is that you can’t leave your money in a cryptocurrency wallet if you’re afraid of losing it, though the price can go up as well.
1904  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin ready for world wide 1 currency? on: March 24, 2020, 01:55:07 PM
Everyone thinks like bitcoin is not top 3 in many places already. What you guys are not realizing that, if you live in Europe you use euro, you may also use dollars in some places, but bitcoin is following them, you don't use Chinese yuan in Europe when you are spending somewhere, take a look at what companies accepts in Europe, you will see that it is mainly euro and maybe dollars, following that is bitcoin. Maybe we are not top 3, maybe we are top 10, but there are not that many currencies you can use there.

Same goes for almost all nations, you can use their fiat, dollar, and maybe one or two other ones but bitcoin follows that. Plus it is global and when you want to send money from one place to another bitcoin is still top 10, when you want to do it under 100 dollars it is definitely top 5.
1905  Economy / Economics / Re: Corona has killed economy of many businesses on: March 24, 2020, 12:38:29 PM
I am also worried about this Corona virus issue because I am wondering how people are going to be able to get food when it hits my location.

It is not going to be easy mehn, except for those who are rich people , they are going to stock up food in their house and enjoy but the people who don’t even have money for food not to talk of savings or extra food stocked up in their kitchen, these are the ones that are going to suffer it. This is why I really hate this issue of Covid-19 because lots of people, innocent people, are going to suffer from it.

I pray to God everyday that a cure be produced to stop this sickness.
1906  Economy / Economics / Re: Oil price War will Bring real War soon in Middle east on: March 24, 2020, 09:21:00 AM
Economical warfare never went away, there is a war going on in Syria right now that is literally fought by tens of nations, Turkey from one place, Iran from another, Russia, Saudi Arabia, three fronts inside with regime, rebels and ISIS so there is literally a million ways that war can go, but nothing like that will happen because of Oil wars.

It will be economical and it will take a lot more to bring down these nations than just oil prices going down. Is Russia and Saudis affected by this? Sure they are, however they are not idiots neither, while we were buying oil from them and they were getting richer, they invested all of their money into global companies in every nation, if one day all oil ends in Saudi Arabia and they do not make any profits from it, they will still have billions of dollars invested spread around the world.
1907  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people have been panic selling? I didn't. on: March 24, 2020, 05:52:58 AM
Panic selling is the last thing I’m ever going to try. No matter the situation that the market has been into I never thought about selling my coins I’m still going to keep holding because I know that he who laughs last will surely laugh the most.

A lot of people have said lots of sh*** about Bitcoin and even called it a scam and Ponzi, that’s their Business, they can keep on selling. Those are the ones that don’t believe in this, a little shake in the price and they are all running from it. They will still be the ones that will come back and cry on how they regret selling their coins lol.
1908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Antifragile Bitcoin Was Born To Thrive In An Economic Crisis on: March 23, 2020, 08:47:51 PM
Haven’t someone already explained this? One of the Winklevoss brothers once said on Twitter that even though we all believed Bitcoin should thrive in some situations, it’s not during a pandemic like this. At a time like this people are scared and they will be careful so that they are not going to be losing any further money and some of them will even be needing this money to help them through this situation. There are people who invest money and at a certain time they will be needing that money to run one or two things.

Bitcoin was originally created to withstand against economic crisis but currently it is not doing as per the original vision. This may be due to the reason of week hands like wall street investors' contribution in bitcoin markets. I guess this will change slowly when people realize when and where not to get panic with bitcoin investments and holding.
1909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading by Italian Banks on: March 23, 2020, 06:20:02 PM
That’s really great. This is not the first time I’m seeing this news today, I have also seen someone that said this same thing when I was going through the Economics section in the forum. This is a sign that countries are now starting to accept Bitcoin, though not as their main currency, but at least by integrating it in their banking app means that they are encouraging people to start making use of it.

Don’t be surprised as time goes on even the bigger banks will start doing the same thing and will allow people to buy and store bitcoin using their Bank app. That will be really cool mehn.
1910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Does Bitcoin Have Value? on: March 23, 2020, 05:46:12 PM
Yes you’re right about that, Bitcoins value comes from the utility and scarcity, but not when there are no people who are making use of it, so the community are like the core that’s pushing this thing. From the start Bitcoin was not worth anything as what it is now, but as time goes on and more and more people kept recognizing and adopting it, that’s when the value started to increase and it reached a high price.

Utility is part of it as it was what attracted people to be making use of it. I’m even looking forward to more adoption, though I do wonder how miners will make profit when all the coins are mined (well now is not the right time to think of that, since the time is still far).
1911  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coronavirus scam email - do not donate bitcoin on: March 23, 2020, 05:10:25 PM
Even in a situation like this there are still some fools (scammers) that are looking for how they are going to be scamming people.
Well, it’s only for those that they can deceive, I can never be deceived by that nonsense. World health organizations will not just send you random emails especially when you have not signed up on their websites, so how the heck did they get your email? That’s what you should know.

Organizations will only make the post on their social media pages and then urge people to donate through the link they posted. The only time you will receive mail is if you signed for their newsletter. And despite that, when you receive such mail you should know when it’s coming from the right people or not.
1912  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: we are so close to HALVING !!!are these dumps CONNECT to halving time??? on: March 22, 2020, 04:11:05 PM
as u know we having next halving in 3 month. but as u know price get down to 7k  and break so many resistance support lines. the question is how much bitcoin will go down before halving ?! and what will be the price for resistance support before price go up?!and also what is the reason of these dumps?!
I don't think the markets are running on technical analysis anymore but they are mostly running on fundamental analysis. The world crisis about the corona virus is creating a panic sell and the markets are red breaking a strong support from 4 years.

This is happening few months prior to the halving so we could soon expect a reversal. There is a strong support on $4950 and let's just hope that it is not broken. It is getting difficult for me to analyse the markets as each of my analysis is proving wrong in such huge volatile markets. I am now moving on fundamental analysis which is giving me some entry and exit points but yet I am personally afraid of the current markets.
1913  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is better than Holding on: March 22, 2020, 09:57:15 AM
You chose the wrong asset I guess, or maybe you’re expecting a quick profit and it didn’t work out that way.
Do you think that it’s everyone that is into trading that is making profit? Nah, someone has got to lose for another person to be making profit, so when you’re making profit another person is losing their money in the market.

It is just that people who lose their money in trading never come here to say it, only few of them has that courage. It is only those that makes profit that shares their story and the next thing they giving technical analysis and making predictions on the forum lol.
1914  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin is supposed to go up of this corona! people are doing it wrong on: March 22, 2020, 07:26:28 AM
Bitcoin is not "supposed to" do anything if we do not force it. It is we who are responsible with the price of bitcoin and if we sell it goes down, so we are the ones dropping the price.

Definitely, it makes more sense that gold and bitcoin should go up, but I guess people didn't want anyone else to have their moneys control so they withdrew cash a lot, many people literally carrying big amounts of banknotes now, there has been surge in withdrawals all around the world.

Even in health approach that makes no sense because we should not be touching each others money in case any one of us have corona but for some reason banknotes saw a surge even with that in mind. So, I agree that it doesn't make sense, but we are the ones that cause that no sense thing on bitcoin right now.
1915  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach $ 3884 again? on: March 22, 2020, 06:50:41 AM
From here on out? I see it going up, way up from here. I know many people think that it is end of the world and maybe humanity will be dead or whatever but we have seen a surging number of recovery right now and that means there are less and less people who are infected when they recover, that is a good thing.

Fact is we are seeing more and more infected people not because they are getting infected everyday, but because we test more people now compared to before so we figure out who has it and who doesn't.

When you hear on the news people who are infected and the number go up, do not forget that the number goes up because we tested them, not because they got infected TODAY, they were infected long ago but we just figured it out. With the increased number of precautions I am sure there are less people getting infected but just more people realizing they are already infected.
1916  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Halving succeed with Currently Situation on: March 21, 2020, 04:58:02 PM
Well, if you are asking technically, there is no way halving is not happening, it will definitely happen, however at the same time we just don't know what the price will do. To start with we have been 7k when this year started, so lets not get too worried just yet, we were around that level just yesterday, obviously we are doing fine.

Plus, halving will make sure inflation is lower so it is not like a one day thing, you are not going to suddenly see bitcoin going up like crazy, people think that bitcoin price will go up in May/June just because of halving, that is not how it works. First we get less bitcoin printed, then we get less bitcoin sold, then we get higher liquidity but less availability, that means scarcity, that means more people buying for higher because there are less people selling.
1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you trust, BNB or ETH? on: March 21, 2020, 04:09:22 PM
I would trust them both at this current stage honestly but both have their risks. Lets assume that everyone knows why we would love them both, sure we are in a crisis right now and sure prices of all crypto is going down but only looking at these two, there are a lot of people who love them both and would hold them both.

However, if we wanted to talk about the negatives of both of them we can say that this corona affected them as well. It affected bnb because binance is ran by people as well, people who are afraid of getting corona, people who would want to work at home, people who would want to survive, so binance may not do too many great things. Ethereum is about the same, why did we think eth would go up this year? For proof of stake improvement, well if developers focus on not getting killed by the virus, how could they really develop it?
1918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is it , it's the end of cryptos on: March 21, 2020, 03:18:02 PM
This is good, this gives me hope, I really like this thread. One person said bitcoin and crypto will die and this is the end of it, but plenty plenty of people said how it is not the end. I do not care if it is the end or not, because if this many people still around in every part of the world who thinks it is not the end, that means it will not be the end.

Let's be honest with each other, if bitcoin drops under 1k tomorrow, how many people in the world would start to buy as much bitcoin as they can? I am telling you if bitcoin reaches under 3k, I will use the very limited small number of money I have to buy bitcoin right away. We all know bitcoin will survive, why? Because we are the people who will keep it alive by buying as many as we can afford to buy.
1919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best time to fill the bag? on: March 21, 2020, 02:42:38 PM
OP must be right about that, now is a good time for anyone that wants to buy Bitcoin to start buying. The way I see it, the price of Bitcoin might not be going anything below $4k anymore; it has only circulated around these price range since the pandemic started. So, now is the right time for anyone that wants to buy and sell cryptocurrency.

Although that hasn’t been the main thing on my mind, I am mainly worried about the virus that has been spreading. I strongly wish that there is a way to end all this. There are times I wonder how some people are going to be coping with this situation. If there will be any curing vaccine for this virus, then we can expect bitcoin to be testing $15k price levels around this halving. I'm sure about this is going to happen which means this must be the best time to fill the bag.
1920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin season question on: March 21, 2020, 02:07:27 PM
It happens, and it has happened not once but several times. There are some altcoins that will be going up even when the other coins in the market are going down. Projects can be doing well because they are really good projects and due to lots of Investors being part of the project and investing everyday, the project will keep going up despite that some of the other coins in the market are going down.

There was a time ChainLink was growing , despite that Bitcoin was decreasing in price as of then, even ETH and BCH and other top coins. So it do happens, though I don’t think it’s in a situation like we have now, this pandemic is affecting everything.
