1941  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin as gift on: February 26, 2023, 12:39:47 PM
Is it cool to give a friend bitcoin as a gift on his birthday?
I have a friend who I have been telling about bitcoin for the past 2 weeks now and he's paying more attention to it, on the 1st of March is his birthday party I want to surprise him with $200 BTC because I can't attend his birthday party.
So is it apprised to gift a friend bitcoin at his birthday party?
You could but do that and no need to announce a lot eith your friends especially if its big amount. Maybe your friend doesnt know about bitcoin stuff and might be take advantage by your common friends. Anyway thats just precautions, also you could use third party for that. I remember Ive tried once gifting crypto using binance and it works with code to verify the claiming of gifts.
1942  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expectations for March?! on: February 26, 2023, 12:10:54 PM
I would like to know what most of the ppl think here. Do you still believe in the word recession?
We are in the midst of it still but market has their own cycle. Yes the bps rate really plummeted the price but it does show how scared some people for a lower level but turns out it did rally up to 23k. Not sure about the month of March but probably another rally again, cause reaching 30k is quite hard at the moment. Ive seen the price of btc being held up at 25k and from there we didnt break any levels means still too early. Maybe when we are close to halving we can feel the effect of a hurry run for btc price like the old historical information when bull run always on the go.
1943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here are list of very useful chart patterns to learn and make money in crypto 🫡 on: February 26, 2023, 11:43:22 AM
Indeed this is a good lesson. But obviously everyone here might thinking that you just needed views and followers. Not sure if this is a violation on forum since OP doesnt have any form of referral but attracting viewers in a very subtle manner. Anyway I suggest that it much better to post the content even with images and explanation rather than luring some of us here. It could turn to a beautiful tutorial instead of us thinking of beung used as a viewer for probably paid content on your telegram.
1944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Arbitrage with uniswap disappears after large investment on: February 26, 2023, 10:02:07 AM
Hello i have found arbitrage opportunity on uniswap but when i increase amount of an investment it disappears it was about 2% amoutn below 100$ was fine but above and it disappears why? it is not possible to invest more then 100$?
Probably you are thinking of the price on uniswap could gain more profits from other cex but take not that in a dex, the liquidity matters. Maybe the price does reflect higher in there but when someone take out a high portion of liquidity it revert to a lower price to tie up the liquidity pool eventually going back to normal rate.
1945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto/Defi Tax Provider on: February 25, 2023, 08:11:38 AM
Also you could use Binance Ive just remembered that they just recently announced their Binance Tax feature, just check their blog post about the details.

https://www.binance.com/en/blog/ecosystem/introducing-binance-tax-streamline-your-tax-season-experience-9208476713086961306

I need help finding someone to do my crypto taxes, esp DeFi.
Though if you talking about defi, Im not sure how to incorporate that if you are talking about non custodial wallets that connect funds into decentralized dapps products.
1946  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can someone become Grace in life by investing in Bitcoin and crypto on: February 25, 2023, 07:52:01 AM
Is it possible for someone to work and be paid with bitcoins. Does Bitcoin work all over the world. I really want to be part of it I would like to invest in crypto and Bitcoin.
Yes depends on what kind of service you provided for them and you agreed to be paid via bitcoin coins. Yes since its fully decentralized, if you want to use it then fine, just download the wallet and store some of it. But there are some exception to that those literally hate and ban sites that allows you to download anything related to crypto.
1947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: i want to know about velo coin on: February 25, 2023, 06:54:52 AM
This is my first time seeing Stellar altcoins built on the Stellar network.
Oh so thats still alive. I really fond of them but their development is really slow, so hearing that they expanded their wings and got a project under them is really shocking.

I can also see that the all-time high of this altcoin is way higher! If you take a look at the record, the all-time high is $2.07 and the current price is $0.01204 which is around -99%.
I can see that just incase this project will become successful, the ROI here will be huge, for example, this will be back at its all-time high price.
Thats really a big blow to early investors. But anyone who entered now is probably a steal if ever the market recovered and provided that the project continue their building.
1948  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: People mindset in Bitcoin on: February 24, 2023, 05:06:55 PM
What's your take on these?. I know that what have advantages still have disadvantages, hoping with Bitcoin to survive can cause delay on some of our opportunities,
There is no perfect system. Yes bitcoin might be a good reason of some solving financial freedom and problems. Maybe for early buyers who really trusted bitcoin. But those people are probably either a risky investor or just fond of the idea of bitcoin. You cant be sure what wouls be the end game for bitcoin, but many believe it will be use for long term. It is an asset that backed by nothing or reserve but many believed in it thats why its value is ver far since its inception. Me too, I adherr to its uses and advantages. Though we cant deny that bitcoin as well have not all pros it can offer.
1949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Historical "₿" logo day? on: February 24, 2023, 04:28:48 PM
History of Bitcoin logo is from Satoshi Nakamoto and bitboy.
At first I thought of bitboy the chubby guy influencer on Youtube. But when you attached the link, Ive seen its a bitcoin forum user. Im not familiar with it, but it seems the logo is very memorable provided he got some inputs.

Remarkable date of posting that topic OP. But the design is clearly present much earlier.
1950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Yield Farming -- Is it still a thing? on: February 24, 2023, 02:37:24 PM
A couple of years ago, yield farming was the next big thing, but I no longer see it mentioned anywhere. What happened to it? Did the players lose all of their money and slink back into the darkness?
Nothing differents on providing liquidity for any pool in farm. Yield farming is best on pairing with a good match or both not moving drastically. Cause they got a huge apr and insane fees on usage, but its quite hard to know which pairing has a very stable movement. Defi really good maybe timing is needed for it like now very low market movement. Some yield are definitely worth risking.
1951  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Little but expensive mistakes beginners make. on: February 24, 2023, 02:04:23 PM
1.posting without quoting.
Doing this for the entire Op post is really awful. Participants should learn to just quote those particular statement or sentence that he wanted to response about. Maybe its fine if his gonna quote it from a short paragraph but if its a longer one then it is an eye sore to those who will read next. Im not just sure if its expensive mistake though but can be learn here.

Regarding the other 3 which can be done outside forum and not totally related at all.
1952  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have a true discussion without the sig tail wailing? on: February 24, 2023, 10:30:25 AM
Guess the title says it, can we have a true talk without it for the sake of it about Bitcoin? Not like you're paid to say something.
Yes mate there is some social media platform such as reddit, twitter, telegram and etc. You could discuss there without any post incentive or annoying signature. But we cant fan out it on forum cause its always here. Probably out of 10 people maybe only 99% is only one there not wearing signature and posting his opinion.

Signature campaign is here for a reason and not to sugarcoat money related. But it is one way to make the forum be more attractive place for discussion.
1953  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What bitcoin can do on: February 24, 2023, 10:04:09 AM
Using crypto at the least you could expect it to be accepted ia worth noticing. Good thing the seller accept it. Most merchants will only accept credit cards or debit banks, but rare to have a bitcoin merchant in a unpopularize area. The only verdict with that transaction is probably if it smooth to send, and hence the fee isnt that much high.
1954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have bitcoin, what do you guys recommend I buy as well on: February 24, 2023, 08:41:26 AM
I have a good amount of btc that I'm very pleased with. I love btc. Are there any other coins you guys could recommend I buy next? (none of your comments count as financial advice)
Aside from bitcoin, I think fantom and avalanche are good L1s to pick also eth.

Then for new projects watch out for sei network and sui network. These two might be a good projects to look forward too.

I am holding avalanche, fantom, evmos and some ron tokens mostly L1 tokens that can be staked over time.
1955  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My father thinks I'm working in a shop,he didn't know I'm bitcointalking. on: February 23, 2023, 08:26:27 AM
Technology has made life somehow easy for us today. In the days of our father, they had no idea about working online, all their work to make money were done physically, and with strength, either they engaged in mini or mega business that will provide money for them.We thank God for bitcoin, that came as a messiah,to enrich the hopeful. Now my father asks me about my shop, and where it's located,I told him I'm bitcointalking, and he doesn't know what I'm talking. What do yours tell you?
Theres no need to emphasize that their era isnt comparable today that are digital. Yes not much on their time but you must remember that your parents bled for you to be able to study and attain something in life. Yes bitcoin is now on hit globally but it doesnt mean our parents are stupid enough not to notice that world is changing. Lets not brag that we can do bitcoin talk or any money making online cause traditional business always work best in their own interest.
1956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paxos to stop minting BUSD on: February 23, 2023, 07:02:06 AM
How big of an impact is the government's crackdown on crypto going to have on the crypto market's growth in the US?
This could be very trending and hype. People will have some panic mode over Binance, but surely this will just cool off as we all knew how Binance is swift on handling this kind of legal matter.

Because only other reason i see for this is that they would have done it out of spite. Because end result isn't keeping anyone safe. In fact Further attempts to drive down stablecoins could lead to catastrophy in markets and might hurt people more then FTX ever did.
Maybe but these exchanges or issuers of stablecoin should be lenient as possible to avoid such fate of FTX.
1957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why NFTs on sui testnet are disappear ?? on: February 23, 2023, 06:27:05 AM
hey guys! i  have been   using sui testnet for months for now. everytime i mint an nft on sui are disappear after some times or days..., i need to know why.... anyone who has a clear vision on that plz explain me on this reason..... thank you!
Its on their announcement on discord. Mine also got wiped out for the nft I mintef before, but probably they are testing it since its still on testnet. This would take a while to become stable. Im sure youll get more specific answer on their social platform or heed some hint on their Twitter.

Dont worry if they had airdrop surely youll not missed that.
1958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where Do Lost Assets or Coins Go? on: February 22, 2023, 03:25:12 PM
I've seen those problems wrongly sent to the other network and they were recovered when some users approached the exchange they used. The exchange helped them in recovering them and I think it's on them and they have ways of recovering it since I've seen not just one or two stories about it.
I remembered my friend that send the tokens to a different coin ticker. The exchange didnt help them to recover the tokens and said to her that they cant do anything. Theres a possibility but the cost is far greater than the amount of the tokens mistakenly sent. I believe this is an alibi, cause what if the amount send is like million worth, I doubt they will just say to someone its loss, but will definitely find a way to recover it.
1959  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Program Done With Students on: February 22, 2023, 02:26:43 PM
You can't be done with the teaching of bitcoin to others because it's a whole big and wide course to deal with, since it's on an institutional level
Why not, everything is digital even the materials and I think what he needs is to learn all things related with it which I think can be done reading the whitepaper of Satoshi (for free download).

Plus the nowadays everyone are fond of using online which can be dealt easily to teach students.  Regarding materials, it much easier to use slides grom powerpoint and I think OP has a laptop for that and can create group meeting with a lot of platforms that are free.

Nicely done Op. Not everyone are keen to teach on bitcoin.

1960  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason for bitcoin on: February 22, 2023, 10:11:32 AM
Question: Does bitcoin has year or reason when it drops or crash on like what happened in 2022 alot of us saw hell.so I want to if has reason for the dropping in volume.
Correction. I think last bull run bitcoin has increase in price from 18k to 64k in just span of few months and a major set back is necessary for a healthy market. Plus there are a lots of sellers or profit takers thats why the price plummeted too. No one can knew the exact reason but if youll see the possible scenario, a lot of fud and panic, especially during declaration on war and heavy recessions.
