Where is Bholzer? We trusted on him. If he really lied us, I think this will be dangerous for his reputation in the crypto-community and his Murraycoin.
I am still holding my 500k sc coins. Still hoping for the best.
I agree. I dont like to keep false hopes here, so ive sold all my SC, i wont be buying any more until we hear from bholzer.

Didn't bholzer recieve donations from some people in btc?
Most probably, yes. The price is getting lower and lower. Bholzer's stance plays a role here, as it gives plenty of room to FUDers for negative specualtion. Instead, status updates about the development should be published more frequently, so that things are calm and price more supported. I would be truly dissapointed if he has abandoned the project, at least if he come forward and said he wont be able to commit to it, i think we would all understand. Leaving us in limbo is not ideal.

I take back what i said. It's not normal for the dev to post that on the main page and then never give any updates. Using the momentum of the old community to start the new one is probably a fail so far. Not looking good and the price drops show more and more abandonment. adios
Pretty sure we haven't chosen a dev yet. Bholzer was offering his assistance. Anyone who is qualified can have the job. Who isn't the lst dev. the sooner you understand that bholzer bailed on this coin, the better for the coin. ( find a new dev quick before SC dies ) bholzer definitely did not seem like the kind of person who would bail without a word. Maybe there has been a misunderstanding about the 1.0.9.3 release? Or about bholzer's role? Or about the donations? Just wild guessing here... I would be surprised if hes bailed, if he's bailed, there is little we can trust here.

So does it look like XC will be reaching that of DRK soon?
You mean the coin that has collapsed? I dont want to be DRK. Neither would I! I think i will place a buy order, hopefully this coin gets to $10

I think you guys need to talk with the old main graphics developer and try and get him to sign on. He mentioned that we was going off on his own to start silky. Try and see if he can update graphics and help with a new website. The guy is quality and not easy to replace.
You must be kidding dude... That guy (wulfensomething) has probably been identified as one of the two original dev-scammers. During the critical hours, instead of providing any explanation, he had been writing that it's game over for silkcoin and we'd better fork to silky and such BS. He tried to exploit dude and start a new coin. If you are not him posting under another account name, then you must be truly insane. My 2 cents. Unfortunately this seems to have been proven correct. He did do good work, but does not seem to be a good man. If there is evidence to support otherwise perhaps there should be a review. I assume this is wulfcastle you are referring to? Ive been messaged by him earlier in the peace and his style of writing seems rather much that of the scammers.

Hey, You have just given me an idea! We should just rebrand to SilkCoin 2!
I think you hit the nail on the head. Silkcoin 2 Silkcoin Ecosystem 2 +1. I would rather donate 1/2 my coins to hire devs to to assist in the project and make my last 1/2 worth more then to cash out now. It's a bigger risk, but I believe it'll be a bigger reward at the end and a heck of a lot more satisfying! I would rather find devs who want to help and get paid by investing into Silkcoin2 instead of Devs that just want to get paid. We can always subcontract work, but I would not call them trusted Devs. The original Dev team built this, and it is their baby, they would be best to keep it going, but they abandoned the baby so an opportunity has arisen for a new Dev/s to takeover and continue where the old devs left off or surpassing them. Bholzer. Usually when a dev does not respond, for awhile, the project might have been more difficult than it seamed to be at first. I remember times when i would just cut off all interference until my project was completed because i didn't want distractions. I trust Bolzer and have no problem giving him the time he needs. I think you guys need to talk with the old main graphics developer and try and get him to sign on. He mentioned that we was going off on his own to start silky. Try and see if he can update graphics and help with a new website. The guy is quality and not easy to replace. Yes I agree, we just need to give Bholzer more space and not pester him for it to be finished. im sure he's reading our posts and is probably looking at the trello page too. He may surprise us all with what he has in store. In the meantime, we're hiring! Have you got what it takes?

Silkcoin2.0 on all pages BTT/Facebook/Twitter/+ done.
Your welcome. I was just being courteous, this wasn't a request! Do it!
Seriously though, its not a bad ideal, right?

I know it's a choice of the whole community, but your going to face some practical problems if you keep sticking with the same name.
Change it at least to Silk!
This is a very valid argument and I agree. Silk would be a very good choice. BTW, all who insist on keeping the same name, please provide some feedback about how you suggest these aforementioned practical and inevitable problems could be solved. IMO, only the old devs would have a valid reason to keep the name 'silkcoin'. I agree, I feel there is need for slight rebranding, i myself dont like having to, but i think it will avoid alot of marketing issues with domains, twitter, facebook etc. I dont have any issue with using Silk or "Silk Crypto"(as the coins ecosystem) If there is overwhelming support for keeping silkcoin, then im not going to go against that decision.

Either way, we just need to focus with the new wallet first. Restore confidence in the community and worry about each thing one step at a time. The online marketplace is not going to happen overnight either, and i wouldnt want bholzer to feel like hes obligated to design it all by himself. Re-branding we can worry about later, yes a new logo is probably not a bad idea, but we should stay faithful to the original design and branding which naturally attracted all of us to this coin. Recruiting new devs that can work with the community is #1 Priority, then we can brainstorm ideas and have the community vote on what ones to go for. Somethings that have been discussed (like being able to change address) may not even be possible it seems, so we need the developers to discuss with the community about whats realistic.

Hey everyone, im totally cool with keeping the same logo and name etc. Although i do see a few issues that it presents with domain names, facebook, twitter etc.
Ive come up with a few concept logos on trello etc, either way, Silk has to stay. I loved the original website, but im sure we can even do it better as a community.

Here's my latest concept logo:

Is there still debate over the logo? Here is a quick concept, nothing flash by all means, but simple!

ReddCoin will easily double of what it is presently at.

I saw that. I've been away for a couple of days so couldn't wade in earlier to back you up. Ignore the critics. The world is full of people that say 'It can't be done!'. Thankfully there are also a few people who ask "How can we do it?". I think the majority of people in the crypto scene don't understand the potential of the blockchain. Some think Blockchain == Crypto Currency, but that is just not the case. Blockchain == Distributed Ledger There is nothing to say that we can't use multiple ledgers, each optimised for storing data related to a specific task or objective. Think... -- Spreedsheet vs Relational Database -- Go-To Spaghetti Code vs Object-Oriented Programming Yes i suggested this idea too, and i also got a response that it couldnt be done, but cant see why not, i think its a brilliant idea, since people can turn off the features they dont want to use.

i think those are all terrible ideas .. cubits ?? wtf. cmon, just all it silkcoin. i kinda like the proposal to call it "silky" .. kinda .. but now all this shit is blown oout, it's stupid. Grand Bazaar? wtfowts.... Yea, it will be cool to have a decentralized p2p marketplace, just call it SilkCoin DarkMarket SilkMarket, where it accepts SILKCOINS, not silkcrypto, not silk cubits, but silkcoin, SC. that's what it is. edit: ... Phenocoin .. ? http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=PhenoPheno. A Secluded Dublin 15 location where a select group hang out and partake in illegal activity on a disgustingly frequent basis. Headin' down pheno?I think youve missed the point, read again. From Memory the term "Grand Bazaar" was going around on here when the original developers were here.

Here is my vision for branding:
We will break it down into 3 parts.
1: Drop "coin" - we will refer the currency as "Silk" 2: Ecosystem - Refer the whole platform as "Silk Crypto" 3: Marketplace - The Grand Bazaar
This is a similar strategy to the NXT and NEM platforms.
NXT has always been referred to as NXT, even though some would inadvertently call it "NXT coin", thats never been an official name. One of their domains is nxtcrypto.org, and i dont think there would be anything wrong with referring our platform as "silk crypto" but "silk would be the commonly used name for the currency itself.
We should also be creative for the units of currency, BTC uses Satoshi for example, perhaps we could use the ancient unit of "Cubits" (measure of length) for our "Silk"?
I propose registering silkcrypto.org or silk-crypto.org
But multiple domains are not an issue, NXT has several domains, and so do alot of other coins.
I dont think the above strategy suggests that we are engaged in illicit activity, and look at Darkcoin, i reckon their name is one of the shadiest names in crypto, and they are up there on CMC.

good. I keep wallet running or turn of until new release?
You should be able to stake the coins without any issues, obviously you are still using the older version without the bug in it. of course, you should keep a backup of your wallet

so what the deal now? I am sitting on my sc's. did I loose all?
No you havnt, its all good, hang on to them, there will be a new wallet released shortly.
