1941  Economy / Economics / Re: POLL: In the US, is a $250,000 household income middle class? on: March 06, 2015, 12:08:51 AM
Here's an article on the cost of living in Silicon Valley -> http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2979345/Meet-single-mother-living-250-sqft-GARAGE.html

Average rent for a 2 bedroom apartment or house in San Mateo county is $3,000 USD.
1942  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do signature campaigns actually work? (for the operator, I mean) on: March 05, 2015, 11:34:31 PM
The key to a successful campaign is getting the right balance between the right number of members, the right volume of posts and the right pay.

I would keep your number of participants very low but require that they're actively posting and pay well for that requirement.

Also, police your campaign participants to make sure they aren't posting bullshit or meaningless comments. Signature campaign participation should be a privilege not a right.
1943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain.info now shows CHINA mining 54% of BTC on: March 05, 2015, 06:24:11 PM
Are you saying the China Government is mining or that people from China are mining?

I wouldn't  link miners in China to the Chinese Government...if they're in the BTC community they are most assuredly with us, no? Unless of course you can confirm it's a Chinese government operation.
1944  Economy / Economics / Re: A mild version of China's real estate collapse on: March 05, 2015, 06:15:58 PM
What makes you think that a recession in China would lead to chaos and unrest? Recessions have happened in every major civilization and it doesn't lead to death and famine. Japan has fared fine. The US has fared fine. Greece is not in civil unrest. Spain has remained civil. Why do you think China can't handle it?

The market is build through expansion and correction...have a longer term view.
Lol you talk as if Greece and Spain has already surpassed the worst times.

No wonder the Chinese are becoming the nº1 BTC miners, they know it's safer than shit fiat money.

Ok, that's a good point...Greece and Spain certainly aren't "recovered". But I still don't understand why one would think that China would result to territorial expansion or civil unrest when their growth slows or stops. Have any ideas to add to that question?
1945  Economy / Economics / Re: Hosting discussion regarding economics and bitcoin on: March 05, 2015, 05:59:51 PM
The forum that you've posted this to is currently (and forever) hosting a discussion regarding economics and bitcoin, why should we now all go to a new site to have that same discussion?

What does your site offer that is better than bitcointalk.org?
1946  Economy / Economics / Re: Price deflation in 2015? on: March 05, 2015, 05:57:43 PM
By PCE do you mean private consumption expenditure?
1947  Economy / Economics / Re: A Real-Time Bitcoin Analysis Site I've Been Building. Would Love Your Feedback. on: March 05, 2015, 05:56:46 PM
I'm confused by your premise. You say the sight will determine if transactions are happening at the Bid and Ask price. That assumes that the bid and ask prices can't change, which isn't how the market works. The bid and ask for my transaction is created by my transaction. You can't tell me that what I'm asking (if I have a bidder) is wrong...because my sale has met someone elses buy.

Despite my criticism though, We do need more sites like this. Keep at it!
1948  Economy / Economics / Re: Dollar coming to an end on: March 05, 2015, 05:53:46 PM
To the OP, so what's your point of view based on the article? What do you want us to comment on?

It's been nearly a year and the Dollar is still strong.
1949  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Bitcoins 2015 How much you think be cost/price? [price prognosis] on: March 05, 2015, 05:52:51 PM
$300-500.

I think growth going forward will be much slower. "To the moon" must have new meaning now.

1951  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: March 05, 2015, 05:49:33 PM
You're right, bitcoin is dead. Listen, I'd hate to see someone like you lose all your value in BTC. I'll buy your soon-to-be-worthless bitcoin from you for...let's say 50% on the BTC. I'm doing you a HUGE favor here, you can find my address in my profile. ONce I receive the coin I'll Paypal or Venmo the cash to you.
1952  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: [Sale is pending] 2014 Casascius St. Petersburg Bowl coin [2nd Market] on: March 05, 2015, 05:46:24 PM
Did you get your price?
1953  Economy / Collectibles / Re: How much is worth a casascius bearer bar (0 BTC) on: March 05, 2015, 05:45:44 PM
I'll pay you BTC3.5.
1954  Economy / Services / Re: Buy ANYTHING from AMAZON.com with BITCOIN at a 30% DISCOUNT - Free USA Shipping on: March 05, 2015, 05:44:43 PM
Why don't you sell your gift cards for less discount than 30%?
1955  Economy / Services / Re: Buy ANYTHING from AMAZON.com with BITCOIN at a 30% DISCOUNT - Free USA Shipping on: March 05, 2015, 05:44:04 PM
How are you making money if you sell us stuff for 30% off?

I'll buy something, I'll send you my order, you send me my order and then I will send you payment. Will this work?
1956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's year 2050 and Bitcoin is the world currency... on: March 05, 2015, 05:42:26 PM
The price per bitcoin goes up.

I'd hate to see a world with one currency...cause it means we're either under dictator rule or utopia and the former is a lot more likely.

Diversity is good for everyone.
1957  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Free BTC Methods on: March 05, 2015, 05:41:04 PM
Here's another idea...

Tell people you'll sell them anything from Amazon.com at a discount. When someone gives you an order you go to Alibaba.com and buy cheaper than the Amazon price and charge the buyer something greater than what you've paid and less than what they can get on Amazon.
1958  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Free BTC Methods on: March 05, 2015, 05:40:11 PM
Mine and/or sell products and/or services in exchange for Bitcoin.

None of these things are free.

You have to spend money to mine. You have to buy products to sell. And you have to spend time to provide services.
1959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Free BTC Methods on: March 05, 2015, 05:39:36 PM
Posting constructive posts on this forum, which I would do anyway.

Just don't leave bullshit, frivilous posts.
1960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia’s Unexplainable Stand On Bitcoin on: March 05, 2015, 05:38:38 PM
Why do we care what one politician in Russia thinks of Bitcoin? Their opinion won't change anything...so let's not bring any press to it.
